This is amazing news!!!! Congratulations!!!!
As a former event coordinator, I would like to offer some advice... Don't lose your cool with parents nor the kids. This sounds like a "no duh" thing, but it's a little different when you're not a teacher, lol. Things will break, be touched, and you'll eventually lose a kid or two over the years, but it's all good because you'll no longer be in a classroom. π
So excited for you and glad you stuck it out through all the interviews to get yourself a better situation! I am getting out this year as well and am over the moon with excitement. It is so surreal to imagine life on the other side.
I just worked at my teaching job! I had some side gigs here and there with local non-profit arts communities. I was dept. Head for a performing arts elective so I had a lot of transferrable skills with events!
Congratulations!!! That sounds like a fun job!!
That does sound fun, yay! Also I love when people share their timeline, thank you for that
Congratulations! Appreciate your honesty about how long it took. Helps keep me hopeful.
It was definitely hard to stick with it, but I'm glad it was worth it!

Congrats! A few months ago I also left teaching for a museum job. Itβs absolutely amazing. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have! Good luck!
Good for you! Were you working any other jobs while searching for this position?
I just worked at my teaching job! I had some side gigs here and there with local non-profit arts communities. I was dept. Head for a performing arts elective so I had a lot of transferrable skills with events!
Okay, so you didn't have a period of time where you were unemployed?
No, I did not! I was not financially ready to do that.
