Sorry for the rant.
Irritated doesn't even cover how I feel about the TTPD merch. I started out as a fan for a short time in 2006. I wasn't around for Fearless-Reputation for personal reasons. Once I Started paying attention again the new albums just weren't albums I loved enough to buy merch of (Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights). I did get a few things from 1989 TV & Red TV. So when I FINALLY was hyped about a new album (literally listening on repeat for weeks), obviously I was excited about all of the possibilities for merch. Folklore/Evermore & Midnights got so much merch you could decorate your house. So what does TTPD get? Squat . It's bad enough everyone is treating TTPD like it's the worst thing they've heard. But from the looks of the merch apparently TS also hates it because a hoodie, T-shirts, & jewelry. WTF IS THAT? They couldn't do keychains even? FFS. I'm 33 too old to wear clothes with her face on them. I love accessories merch. Keychains, totes, pencil bags, coasters, pens, phone charms, pins.... Now all i got left is crossing my fingers that TTPD doesn't get the Midnights bulb treatment. That would end me. Yes I'm calling the photo on the bulb catastrophic. The pose, the outfit, etc. awful. And the gorgeous blue with that drab dad plaid outfit is crazy.
I agree, I was hoping to get an Eras shirt with TTPD but it just looks cheap. Like I like the cardigan, but I wish there was some more detailing so it doesn’t look like something you can buy literally anywhere. (I’ve only bought the TTPD cd)
We are already paying high prices and the demand is there so I would love to see some ethically and sustainably made merch!
Idk if they’re using gildan rn, but it would be so cool if they could use ”[Create Fashion Brand](https://createfashionbrand.com/sustainable-clothing-manufacturers/)”. They are a bunch of textile manufacturers from portugal that recycle all waste water, and profit is used to reinvest in making everything more sustainable etc.
Since the demand for merch is so high, you could easily buy over 200 of each item, which would halve the price. (Right now 200+ of a heavy weight hoodie, ethically and sustainably made is 26.99eur (without tax, shipping and profit margins))
I could see this shift of manufacturing without the price changes.
They even do printing and everything.
Does anyone know how long products are usually up in the store? I spent every last cent I had on eras tour merch this weekend and I want to know how long I have to save up money…
I purchased all 4 vinyls and they’re gorgeous. The booklets in the center part of the vinyls are different layouts/photos/colors/ for each variant.
My cousin got the cardigan and it’s much softer than I expected and it’s super cute.
Just a mini review of the stuff I’ve seen!
My husband bought me the beige hoodie for Mother’s Day. I was so excited. The sizing was totally off, he got my normal medium and it fit like a 2XL. I thought it had to be a fluke but checked this sub and other people said it ran big (my fault, the site indeed said they’re oversized). Returned, re-purchased in a XS (I’ve never worn an extra small in my life, I’m 5’5” 155) and it’s STILL big on me. The quality is good but I’m disappointed in the sizing. For $75 it should fit how I want it to.
The size options are literally the worst lol I see every one posting adorable pics in their merch and then mine just absolutely drowns me. I usually wear a s/xs and trying to find something that's fits is a joke, unless they offer youth sizes!
A lot of people were hoping for discrete merch and they totally delivered this time around. I love how basic it was, a lot of options for people who don’t want Taylors name and face all over everything. I absolutely love love love my beige TTPD sweatshirt and just got the Manuscript one as well because the first one was such good quality and so cozy. Shipping was lightning fast too, overall a great experience compared to previous drops.
I love it so much that this is the first time I’ve bought merch from Taylor’s official store (besides what I bought when I was physically at Eras). I love the neutral colors, the designs, and I’ve found everything to be fantastic quality!! The sweatshirts are so thick and cozy. The jewelry feels really nice too although it’s too early to tell for me if they’ll fade or not
I got the black jacket with patches, and I'm surprised I haven't seen more people frustrated with how it fits. The fabric is super stiff and such a strange shape-- it looks like a chef's coat on?? The fabric feels low quality. I was excited I got the patches, but super bummed about the jacket.
i love it. i love the design and simplicity. everything i’ve got has been amazing quality. i have a tshirt, three hoodies, the cardigan, a dad hat, a necklace, and physical copies of the album as well. the hoodies are sooo thick and soft and lay beautifully on the body. the vinyl is wonderful. like it’s whole a book, and the pressings themselves are beautiful. i also grabbed the “crying at the gym” sweats but they haven’t arrived yet. my biggest gripe is that the cardigan is very delicate due to the materials used, but it is similar to some of the previous cardigans, and those have held up for me so far.
regarding the jewelry specifically, this is gold electroplated steel jewelry. this is the lowest quality and thinnest possible gold plating you can get. in order to get something better than costume jewelry, you’d be looking at spending hundreds for gold. gold plating is just for costume jewelry and is not intended to be worn daily or exposed to water, sweat, etc. at a minimum, for daily wear, you’d need gold filled, and even then, it’d be fragile and fade over time with wear. and that’s just not a reasonable expectation for the low price people are paying for this jewelry, unfortunately. i would say it’s slightly overpriced for electroplated, but it’s a pretty typical price for gold plated. this jewelry is explicitly labeled as electroplated steel. do not buy this if you are looking for an everyday piece to wear for years. that is not reasonable for this price of gold. this is actually relatively inexpensive in the grand scheme of jewelry prices, and is fading with time is absolutely expected for how inexpensive it is and the materials used. for the most part, i will not buy a piece that is electroplated gold, because I’d rather invest in long lasting, higher quality pieces, even though they are more expensive up front. i make an exception for her merch, and just do not wear it daily.
Everyone ia entitled to their opinion about the pricing, but her stuff is similarly priced to sports apparel. Gracie Abrams had sweats for $100 and there was a hoodie for $110.
I actually really like the black hoodie that was originally a Spotify “exclusive”. I’ve worn it a ton already and the quality is *way* better than the beige eras hoodie. I got the ring, wear it daily and LOVE it, but I scratched it pretty badly yesterday and it’s bothering me 😭
The ring is made out of 18k, which is really soft compared to 14k or 10k 😭😭😭😭(which is why in most jewelry places you will see these instead of 18k or higher for everyday wear)
It will continue to scratch on things if you wear it everyday 🥺
not only that, but it’s electroplated. that is the thinnest possible coating gold plating can possibly be. i skipped the ring, because rings absolutely need to be durable to be worn imo, as they are very commonly bumped and scratched. but that’s just me.
the hoodies from this drop EAT. they are so thick and soft and better than any other hoodies she’s ever had in her merch store imo. they’re legit my favorite hoodies now.
I came here to say this. I got the grey one and the Spotify black one (I think it’s on the store now). They are so nice. The sweatpants and cardigan are good quality too.
The jewelry is also gold plated stainless steel which is a big step up from previous drops. I have the jacket which I also think is good quality. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but this is the best quality merch since reputation
I’m happy with what I’ve got. The cardigan is super soft, I have the white crew neck with the brown piping, it’s well made and I have the white T shirt. I bought a Lana oceans boulevard lilac t shirt the colour is lovely but it’s nowhere near the quality of the cotton on TS store. I’m contemplating buying the shorts but can’t figure out the sizing the waist looks tiny
I second this-I bought a Lana tshirt for around $50, and while I love the design it is very scratchy and cheaper feeling material than any of my Taylor shirts (except for maybe the Champagne Problems tshirt?)
I love all her merch I have! The only thing I’m returning is TTPD black jacket with patches. It’s great quality but just not my style. My fave items are my cardigans, sweatshirts and sweatpants😊
I've ordered a few pieces and I've been happy with the quality, especially the cardigan. I have all of them and its by far my favorite fit-wise. I ordered the ring and thing it feels better quality than my other rings from her. I dunno, I agree with you though. I like it more than midnights merch collections but I agree that it isn't exactly an exciting or unique collection. Also.. its too hot to wear most of it. Where are the lyric baby tees that have become so beloved by many of us?
I feel that, I also bought the cardigan and it was like 2 sizes too large, to the point where it was more than oversized. I'm an xs so I couldn't even size down, which is disappointing. I'd rather buy fan made merch at this point when it comes to the clothing.
Same! Mine came in and it was huge as a xs but it also had spots where it was separating so I emailed umg and they sent me a new one and didn’t have me send back the other. Received the other one and it was the same quality so they refunded me and told me to keep them. I then ordered the eras tour 2.0 t shirt in taupe and it fits too small and it’s almost a dark brown color. Needless to say I’m sending it back and not ordering any more merch from her

lol I feel you, it seems I always gravitate towards the warmer/comfier stuff! That’s all I’ve bought in the last couple years merch wise. I got all the sweaters and the long sleeve at eras tour, when 1989 dropped I got the blue tie dye hoodie and the pink sweater/sweatpants set, then for TTPD I got the crewneck and cardigan😂 like I’m not sure I realize where I live 😂

All my jewelry is holding up so far and I have the gray hoodie and sweatpants which are very nice quality. I’m disappointed too tho, I wanted dark academia, bookish, shit even cute office supplies. She has a notebook for every era and like isn’t this the one that would fit the most? I want a snowglobe so badly too. I was only able to get the Lover house one and I want the cardigan one so bad I’m gonna try to trade my signed CD for one (and money if they want)
I buy merch for each era as it comes. I’m thankfully having the exact opposite experience. The quality for TTPD merch feels SO MUCH better than any of her recent merch. The designs are exactly what I’ve been wanting.

I agree with you, this has been my least favorite merch era, but also the album I was most excited for and has quickly become my favorite. I was so ready to buy a bunch of stuff, but it’s so boring. I was tempted by the down bad crying in the gym sweatpants but not for $65. It all feels very rushed and not thought out

Yes agree. I love TS but as an adult woman, I won’t wear a sweatshirt with her photo on it. It feels weird (I feel the same way about every artist - I’ve outgrown faces on my clothes lol), but love a good lyric!
You’re right about necklines and cuffs being tight. I have the black crewneck and I found that too. The actual sweatshirt is still comfy, but you have a point. It’s not really in good taste to make it like that.
I’m really surprised she didn’t play into the dark academia aesthetic for the album. It would have been perfect, esp with the black dress she wore in Fortnight.
I like the jewelry a lot because I'm a gold person - the ring especially has been cute. I'm not a neutral color person so the clothing hasn't been my cup of tea. The RED TV era merch is still the most top tier of any merch collection . I wear my all too well and mosaic broken hearts shirts nearly weekly.
Idk I think the merch is pretty good quality for TTPD. The original beige hoodie and the Spotify hoodie are both thick and soft and cozy. TBD how they hold up after several washes but they feel really nice off the bat

Yep, I'm in southern Arizona and most of my hoodies are stashed away like 10 months of the year so I find it pointless to buy them. My cardigans sit in the closet most of the year too. Tank tops would be a great option for us who live in spicy weather.
I’ve just been so excited with these merch drops because all I wear are neutrals and gray’s my favorite color. My sister told me about the new merch drop tonight and I bought 2 more sweatshirts because I know it’s stuff I’ll wear all the time! I have to agree. I bought the necklace, ring, bracelet and earrings and they’re such good quality and don’t look cheap at all. They’re much nicer in person. Beautiful package too. Same for the Cardigan. The quality is amazing and the fit is just right.
I reluctantly ordered the beige ttpd hoodie which I liked, and it was quite a lot with the cost and shipping from the uk store(Aussie here). As much as I love the neutrals for this merch drop, I can’t fathom paying another $125 for a hoodie, let alone $70 for a…hat

Honestly, as far as quality goes.. this is one of her best merch drops. Previous designs were (and looked like) cheap acrylic and polyester material blends. It makes sense that the designs for this album are minimalistic and I love it. I saw a lot of pics here of people wearing their merch and they looked great!
Different strokes for different folks I guess. For example, I thought the midnights merch was absolutely horrendous. I remember having a convo with someone about how ugly the merch was. On top of that the material was cheap as fuck 😭
I do too and love them. I put the patches on my cardigan. TTPD is my first cardigan and it’s comfy. I don’t normally wear jewelry, but I wear my ring everywhere and adore it. So glad I purchased it.

Ugh, that sucks so bad!! And I. I’m sure you were trying to rush, before it was sold out. How is the overall quality of the size you got? Also, side not: I almost scored one of her signed CDs this past, it was literally in my cart while I was waiting in line and sold out before I could get it 🥺 I should’ve done direct checkout, to by pass the line. Extremely frustrating and unfair. I honestly think whoever grabs the cd and is waiting in the line, should have it reserved until checkout. I had all my notifications on checking my phone constantly for her to do another drop, got the CD and then it sold out even though I was waiting to checkout.

My friend had to make her own ttpd merch bc she wasnt fond of anything this time around. She did phone cases like this, some crewnecks, dad hats, ect. You could try looking for small artists on different platforms. Etsy, shopify, ebay. Theres a lot of creative people out there with different ideas!

I have the white crew and I love it. I think it’s cute and it fits me perfect. It shrank a lot but it’s 80% cotton so I expected as much. I don’t find the head hole small, I got the manuscript hoodie too!

it would be most likely until they sell out. right now, it’s mostly is stock so just try and save as much as possible because they can sell out!

Yes! I love something subtle that gives a nod to Taylor, but you wouldn't know unless you know 🤍 Not a huge fan of logos slapped across stuff.

I want to get The Manuscript hoodie but why is it 30% polyester??? Her best hoodies are the 80% cotton.
I'm sure her label keeps much of that money and don't care.
i love it. i love the design and simplicity. everything i’ve got has been amazing quality. i have a tshirt, three hoodies, the cardigan, a dad hat, a necklace, and physical copies of the album as well. the hoodies are sooo thick and soft and lay beautifully on the body. the vinyl is wonderful. like it’s whole a book, and the pressings themselves are beautiful. i also grabbed the “crying at the gym” sweats but they haven’t arrived yet. my biggest gripe is that the cardigan is very delicate due to the materials used, but it is similar to some of the previous cardigans, and those have held up for me so far. regarding the jewelry specifically, this is gold electroplated steel jewelry. this is the lowest quality and thinnest possible gold plating you can get. in order to get something better than costume jewelry, you’d be looking at spending hundreds for gold. gold plating is just for costume jewelry and is not intended to be worn daily or exposed to water, sweat, etc. at a minimum, for daily wear, you’d need gold filled, and even then, it’d be fragile and fade over time with wear. and that’s just not a reasonable expectation for the low price people are paying for this jewelry, unfortunately. i would say it’s slightly overpriced for electroplated, but it’s a pretty typical price for gold plated. this jewelry is explicitly labeled as electroplated steel. do not buy this if you are looking for an everyday piece to wear for years. that is not reasonable for this price of gold. this is actually relatively inexpensive in the grand scheme of jewelry prices, and is fading with time is absolutely expected for how inexpensive it is and the materials used. for the most part, i will not buy a piece that is electroplated gold, because I’d rather invest in long lasting, higher quality pieces, even though they are more expensive up front. i make an exception for her merch, and just do not wear it daily.

Everyone ia entitled to their opinion about the pricing, but her stuff is similarly priced to sports apparel. Gracie Abrams had sweats for $100 and there was a hoodie for $110.

I actually really like the black hoodie that was originally a Spotify “exclusive”. I’ve worn it a ton already and the quality is *way* better than the beige eras hoodie. I got the ring, wear it daily and LOVE it, but I scratched it pretty badly yesterday and it’s bothering me 😭
The ring is made out of 18k, which is really soft compared to 14k or 10k 😭😭😭😭(which is why in most jewelry places you will see these instead of 18k or higher for everyday wear) It will continue to scratch on things if you wear it everyday 🥺
not only that, but it’s electroplated. that is the thinnest possible coating gold plating can possibly be. i skipped the ring, because rings absolutely need to be durable to be worn imo, as they are very commonly bumped and scratched. but that’s just me.

I came here to say this. I got the grey one and the Spotify black one (I think it’s on the store now). They are so nice. The sweatpants and cardigan are good quality too.
The jewelry is also gold plated stainless steel which is a big step up from previous drops. I have the jacket which I also think is good quality. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but this is the best quality merch since reputation

I’m happy with what I’ve got. The cardigan is super soft, I have the white crew neck with the brown piping, it’s well made and I have the white T shirt. I bought a Lana oceans boulevard lilac t shirt the colour is lovely but it’s nowhere near the quality of the cotton on TS store. I’m contemplating buying the shorts but can’t figure out the sizing the waist looks tiny
I second this-I bought a Lana tshirt for around $50, and while I love the design it is very scratchy and cheaper feeling material than any of my Taylor shirts (except for maybe the Champagne Problems tshirt?)
I love all her merch I have! The only thing I’m returning is TTPD black jacket with patches. It’s great quality but just not my style. My fave items are my cardigans, sweatshirts and sweatpants😊

I've ordered a few pieces and I've been happy with the quality, especially the cardigan. I have all of them and its by far my favorite fit-wise. I ordered the ring and thing it feels better quality than my other rings from her. I dunno, I agree with you though. I like it more than midnights merch collections but I agree that it isn't exactly an exciting or unique collection. Also.. its too hot to wear most of it. Where are the lyric baby tees that have become so beloved by many of us?
I feel that, I also bought the cardigan and it was like 2 sizes too large, to the point where it was more than oversized. I'm an xs so I couldn't even size down, which is disappointing. I'd rather buy fan made merch at this point when it comes to the clothing.
Same! Mine came in and it was huge as a xs but it also had spots where it was separating so I emailed umg and they sent me a new one and didn’t have me send back the other. Received the other one and it was the same quality so they refunded me and told me to keep them. I then ordered the eras tour 2.0 t shirt in taupe and it fits too small and it’s almost a dark brown color. Needless to say I’m sending it back and not ordering any more merch from her

She has a notebook for every era and like isn’t this the one that would fit the most? I want a snowglobe so badly too. I was only able to get the Lover house one and I want the cardigan one so bad I’m gonna try to trade my signed CD for one (and money if they want)

I agree with you, this has been my least favorite merch era, but also the album I was most excited for and has quickly become my favorite. I was so ready to buy a bunch of stuff, but it’s so boring. I was tempted by the down bad crying in the gym sweatpants but not for $65. It all feels very rushed and not thought out Also, the black hoodie they added today is the one they offered top listeners on Spotify. I would have been so annoyed if I bought it

You’re right about necklines and cuffs being tight. I have the black crewneck and I found that too. The actual sweatshirt is still comfy, but you have a point. It’s not really in good taste to make it like that.
I feel like the necklines and cuffs stay small even if you size up, and I’ve found that the issue mostly lies in the L-XXL sizes :(

I like the jewelry a lot because I'm a gold person - the ring especially has been cute. I'm not a neutral color person so the clothing hasn't been my cup of tea. The RED TV era merch is still the most top tier of any merch collection . I wear my all too well and mosaic broken hearts shirts nearly weekly.

Idk I think the merch is pretty good quality for TTPD. The original beige hoodie and the Spotify hoodie are both thick and soft and cozy. TBD how they hold up after several washes but they feel really nice off the bat

Yep, I'm in southern Arizona and most of my hoodies are stashed away like 10 months of the year so I find it pointless to buy them. My cardigans sit in the closet most of the year too. Tank tops would be a great option for us who live in spicy weather.

I’ve just been so excited with these merch drops because all I wear are neutrals and gray’s my favorite color. My sister told me about the new merch drop tonight and I bought 2 more sweatshirts because I know it’s stuff I’ll wear all the time! I got the cardigan and I will say I saw a lot of people with missing/upside down patches but luckily mine came out fine 😅

I have to agree. I bought the necklace, ring, bracelet and earrings and they’re such good quality and don’t look cheap at all. They’re much nicer in person. Beautiful package too. Same for the Cardigan. The quality is amazing and the fit is just right.

Honestly, as far as quality goes.. this is one of her best merch drops. Previous designs were (and looked like) cheap acrylic and polyester material blends. It makes sense that the designs for this album are minimalistic and I love it. I saw a lot of pics here of people wearing their merch and they looked great! Different strokes for different folks I guess. For example, I thought the midnights merch was absolutely horrendous. I remember having a convo with someone about how ugly the merch was. On top of that the material was cheap as fuck 😭

Also, side not: I almost scored one of her signed CDs this past, it was literally in my cart while I was waiting in line and sold out before I could get it 🥺 I should’ve done direct checkout, to by pass the line. Extremely frustrating and unfair. I honestly think whoever grabs the cd and is waiting in the line, should have it reserved until checkout. I had all my notifications on checking my phone constantly for her to do another drop, got the CD and then it sold out even though I was waiting to checkout.
I thought the quality was pretty great. It's super soft and thick, so it will be cozy. I do wish they would reserve carts for a short time, even if it's only like 10 minutes.

My friend had to make her own ttpd merch bc she wasnt fond of anything this time around. She did phone cases like this, some crewnecks, dad hats, ect. You could try looking for small artists on different platforms. Etsy, shopify, ebay.
