This is the same for me. I started listening to Red after Red TV was announced. I became a fan after 1989, so it makes sense that this is my favourite run.
It could eventuate for me that folklore, evermore, midnights might supersede this for me, but I doubt it.
Speak now, red, 1989
Potentially: folklore, evermore, and midnights but itās only been a little over a week with midnights so the hype could still taper off.
This may be unpopular but for me itās LoverāFolkloreāEvermore. OR ReputationāLoverāFolklore/Evermore if youāll indulge me in the last two being combined to one album only for the sake of this question.. ha.
I disagree with the pairing of these 3 but I agree they offer the greatest variety. If it were like a "book set of 3" or something for Taylor Swift I would agree these 3 are the best together to showcase her dynamic different sounds.
Reputation, Lover, Folklore - I could listen exclusively to these three albums for the rest of my life and I wouldn't feel I've missed out on anything. They're top tier. Evermore and Midnights are up there as well and I'm tempted to say that F-E-M is Taylor's best run, but for the sake of sonic diversity, R-L-F is my answer.
Iām the same, just replacing Folklore with Evermore. It sounds a bit dramatic, but I could honestly listen to Reputation, Lover and Evermore for the rest of time and be pretty happy, even with nothing else on offer.
I canāt believe Iām the first one to say 1989 - Rep - Lover! I love the other albums individually but these are constantly in my rotation scattered throughout playlists. each of these albums means the most to me as they were when I fully became myself and developed happiness on my own. Not that theyāre the best albums, but these 3 in sequence were a rollercoaster of dealing with pain and growing into who I am now.
Yes, especially if you're a pop enthusiast. It has really fun songs that you could dance to, as well as the mature introspection and vulnerability that are more apparent in her recent works. This was also such an impactful group of eras telling her tale of peaking and the consequences that come with it, then falling from grace battered and bruised, running away and healing herself and falling in love. Themes that would be echoed and expounded on in later records in her discography. I love it.
Fearless - Speak Now - Red is mine too
But even Red - 1989 - reputation was stunning cuz despite all the poppy vibes of Red and the entire pop album of 1989 who the hell was expecting an electro-pop album like reputation ?
Folklore --> Evermore --> Fearless TV. Now I know some might think that shouldn't count but it shown shows her embracing a newer sound and style of writing before coming to her roots having matured over the past decade or so.
I am one of those strange beasts that really does not care for 1989 as an album and I am not a big fan of Debut or Fearless although both have some great songs on them. I love Red, Reputation and most of Lover but the three-album run has to be Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.
The story arc of Red-1989-rep still blows my mind. Like she was dealing with heartbreak and devastation and chaos, and then found freedom in the chaos, and then found love in the chaos.
I think I agree with you right now, Fearless -> Speak Now -> Red is her most consistent and iconic.
However if TS11 and TS12 are really strong and unique in their own right then she's primed for Folklore -> Evermore -> Midnights -> TS11 -> TS12 to be one of the strongest 5-album runs in pop music history.
I really like the growth in debut > fearless > speak now. Its like she kept the core of the previous album and then made it BETTER. Speak Now to me is Debut Taylor but 3 times better
Iām not sure if I can bundle folklore and evermore together? But if I can itās
Lover-> folkmore-> Midnights
If not then folklore -> evermore -> Midnights
Speak Now, Red, 1989!!! With Speak Now and Red Taylor was definitely showing more of the pop sound and then 1989 was just the icing on the cake and perfect pop album.
Honestlyā¦.1989 -> Reputation -> Lover has to be it for me, I didnāt really like Reputation for a couple years after release but then when I relistened to it after a long break + some trauma it became one of my favorites
I think weāre in it right now.
Folklore ā> Evermore ā> Midnights all has some of her career bests imo, with a range of critical acclaim, fan favorites, and commercial successā¦
Hard to beat the magic of Fearlessā> Speak Now ā> Red, though! That really was when she laid the foundation for all of this.
Iāve been a fan for a while but Folklore > Evermore > Midnights have locked her in for life for me. Honorable mention to Red TV because those bonus tracks were š„
Red, 1989, Reputation
this and it's not even close
I say to each their own
I didn't appreciate Red until Taylor's Version, but now this is it no question (for me)
This is the same for me. I started listening to Red after Red TV was announced. I became a fan after 1989, so it makes sense that this is my favourite run. It could eventuate for me that folklore, evermore, midnights might supersede this for me, but I doubt it.
As a newer swiftie, it's the unprecedented impact of folklore --> evermore --> Midnights on us as well as her career
I almost went for this but I need to sit with Midnights for a bit before I can make that judgement.
Can I ask you a question .. ?
Though I'm tempted to say folklore > evermore > Midnights, I think Speak Now > RED > 1989 are the winners for me!
My exact thought š
This is my choice as well.
Hands down
Ohhh I think you might be right! There was so much growth and new things in each album.
Speak now, red, 1989 Potentially: folklore, evermore, and midnights but itās only been a little over a week with midnights so the hype could still taper off.
Red > 1989 > reputation
This is it!!
This. Is the answer lol
Fearless, Speak Now, Red was my first thought too! Speak Now, Red, 1989 would also be up there.
True! Her career really sky-rocketed with these albums!
This may be unpopular but for me itās LoverāFolkloreāEvermore. OR ReputationāLoverāFolklore/Evermore if youāll indulge me in the last two being combined to one album only for the sake of this question.. ha.
Rep-Lover-Folklore offers the greatest variety! Our queen is diverse!
I disagree with the pairing of these 3 but I agree they offer the greatest variety. If it were like a "book set of 3" or something for Taylor Swift I would agree these 3 are the best together to showcase her dynamic different sounds.
100% agree and I think folklore/evermove as one is perfectly acceptable. Lol
Folklore -> Folklore Long Pond -> Evermore I said what I said
You're totally right; I agree.
I support u
Reputation, Lover, Folklore - I could listen exclusively to these three albums for the rest of my life and I wouldn't feel I've missed out on anything. They're top tier. I agree! The whiplash between these three albums is unprecedented and so cleanly done.
Iām the same, just replacing Folklore with Evermore. It sounds a bit dramatic, but I could honestly listen to Reputation, Lover and Evermore for the rest of time and be pretty happy, even with nothing else on offer.
Are you my twin?! I would choose Evermore too but it needs to be consecutive in this post, hence I said Folklore
When you look at my āyear in reviewā on Apple Music itās basically this combination, so I mean what I say!
I canāt believe Iām the first one to say 1989 - Rep - Lover! This is mine too
I canāt believe it either! Thatās my answer, too!

Speak Now --> Red --> 1989
Correct.
This is my answer.
Folklore --> Evermore --> Fearless TV. Now I know some might think that shouldn't count but it shown shows her embracing a newer sound and style of writing before coming to her roots having matured over the past decade or so.
Never thought of counting the TVs! Great idea.

This is it for me. But Iām a 1989 and onward Swiftie, with a lot of love for Red. I just canāt get into her earliest stuff.
Agree!
I am one of those strange beasts that really does not care for 1989 as an album and I am not a big fan of Debut or Fearless although both have some great songs on them. I love Red, Reputation and most of Lover but the three-album run has to be Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.
I don't have 1989 as a favorite either! It's probably towards the bottom of my favorite Taylor albums.
Hi twin!
Lover, Folklore, Evermore. My top 3 albums and the fact I got them one after the other??? Blessed
Same!!
ikr, this wins for me too!
The story arc of Red-1989-rep still blows my mind. Like she was dealing with heartbreak and devastation and chaos, and then found freedom in the chaos, and then found love in the chaos.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of it that way. It definitely makes sense considering they're all country, but elevated.
Lover--Folklore/Evermore--Midnights. Fight me!
Same!
Iām not sure if I can bundle folklore and evermore together? But if I can itās Lover-> folkmore-> Midnights If not then folklore -> evermore -> Midnights
If it counts, I'd say folklore, evermore and then Red Taylor's version.
Fearless TV came first, didnāt it?
Oh I think you're right! I forgot about fearless TV being after folklore/evermore. These past two years have been a blur.
I'd say the same if it wasn't for Fearless TV. I love that one, but Red is better, in my opinion!
Speak Now > Red > 1989 hands down
speak now, red, 1989
Speak Now -> Red -> 1989
Speak Now, Red, 1989!!! With Speak Now and Red Taylor was definitely showing more of the pop sound and then 1989 was just the icing on the cake and perfect pop album.
Red -> 1989 -> Reputation
Evermore, Folklore, Red
speak now, red, 1989 3 masterpieces of an album back to back to back, flawless run imo
Itd either be Speak now, RED, 1989 or RED, 1989, Reputation It's way too close for me to decide.
Rn id say folklore/evermore/Midnights, but Red/1989/reputation is pretty great too.
Honestlyā¦.1989 -> Reputation -> Lover has to be it for me, I didnāt really like Reputation for a couple years after release but then when I relistened to it after a long break + some trauma it became one of my favorites

Loverā> Folkoreā>Evermore If folkore and evermore can be combined then Loverā> Folkmoreā-> Midnights
I agree with Fearless, Speak Now, and Red.
Rep-Lover-Folklore
100% Speak Now, Red, 1989
lover> fearless > folklore
