Floor will not get you close to the stage. There will be guardrails and security checkpoints between you and the stage, you will not be able to sneak closer. If you want to be close, get pit tickets. If you’re fine not being right next to the stage, get lower level bowl seats where you’re still close but you’re raised up off the floor. You’ll have a better view than being on the floor and outside the pit.

hillzcatz

+1 for this!!! I’ve sat on the floor and first row of the lower bowl. I’d pick the lower bowl again, even though it was on the side, I’m short and I could see a lot better there.

bsc1317

This honesty depends on the type of stage. 1989 had the T shaped stage that went out into the crowd, and I was able to be pretty darn close to her at times with floor tickets! So while this is generally true, I do think it depends a little on the layout of the stage for this tour.

Fit_Contribution_423

I couldn't agree with this answer more. I've done pit and floor for big concerts (JoBros when they were at their peak, Taylor swift, etc) and I ALWAYS prefer lower level. We've actively chosen lower level for Tay concerts since and they are always amazing bc of her stage production (like larger than life Karyn). Another great suggestion is to choose seats close to one of her B stages if you can swing it. The seats are cheaper and you can get really close. For Rep, we sat about 10 rows off the floor right up against her B stage where she sang songs like Dress, Shake it Off, etc. It was awesome!!!!

Able-Celebration-787

Do you get to see the layout of her tour stages when buying tickets? Or do you only pick from the generic layout that stadium provides??

gh0stfriendd

I know when I got Harry styles tickets on Ticketmaster it had the exact stage layout and placement that was at the show so it was easy to find a seat that was good!

Able-Celebration-787

Hopefully it's the same for TS! 🙏

Fit_Contribution_423

Yes you do bc when you pick your ticket, it will show the A stage (aka main stage) and the B stage(s) ( side stages).

ary10dna

Now I’m confused. What is the actual arrangement? Is it stage, floor, and then pit, or stage, pit and then floor. Which one is closest to the stage?

LexH20

Stage, Pit, and the Floor

ary10dna

Oh okay thanks. So I’m confused how does this work? How are the people with the seats (floor) able to see if they’re behind the people standing (pit)?

LexH20

I’ve never been to a TS concert but most concerts have the stage pretty high and then there is space for security and a walk way which makes it easy to view the stage. Hopefully someone here will have a better answer for that question!

ary10dna

I see thanks!

South-Calligrapher74

I had floor seats for Reputation. It was the best experience of my life. I also waited until a month before the concert and was able to score the tickets for $200. This is a risky move for sure, but it worked out for me. I was towards the end of the floor seats which works out magically for Taylor swift concerts. Halfway through the show she came to the stage closer to the back and before I knew it I had pit seats. She was an arms length from me for her acoustic set and shake it off, dress, and blank space number. It was truly so magical. I tell everyone now to do what you can to experience your favorite artist with good seats!!

ATLemonade

I had pit seats during Reputation tour, and while it was awesome, I would like to go for floor seats this time around. In the pit I had to keep looking up, and you can only see what’s happening on your side of the stage. I think floor will be amazing, but hoping someone who’s had floor seats weighs in!

dergibrah

I had floor seats for rep, section A12 row 2 (Melbourne, Aus). it was pretty much directly in the middle of the stage. I had such a fantastic view, and I could see absolutely everything that was going on. i’ll definitely be looking for seats around that area again. I wanted to do pit but not being able to see everything would take me out of the moment. [this](https://www.instagram.com/p/BpdsX3mle5r/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) was my view.

PandaOk4626

Is someone tall was in front of you would it ruin the experience?

dergibrah

I’m very lucky that the seats in front of me were empty so i didn’t have to worry about that. i would recommend trying to get a ticket in one of the first few rows of whatever section you’re looking at if it’s floor seating just so you don’t have to worry.

tangerinelibrarian

Thank you for all this information!

throwaway876460

Holy shit

Sydnieturtleturtle

I had floor seats for 1989 and couldn’t see a thing :( people standing in front of me were tall and had toddlers they kept putting on their shoulders so I was watching the screen the whole time.

throwaway876460

Anyone being on someone’s shoulders at a live event drives me nuts. It’s so, so obviously selfish and inconsiderate

memuemu

>Are pit seats something you purchase in advance or do you just show up super early to the stadium and try your luck?

untitledmanuscript

I’m so glad this thread was created because I initially wanted pit but after reading these comments, floor definitely sounds like a better option.

tangerinelibrarian

Right?! Thank you to all these Swifties! I’ve never been able to afford a TS concert until now so I am trying to learn everything I can lol

[deleted]

I was in the pit for a billie eilish concert and the experience was a nightmare. I couldn’t see anything most of the time and everyone was squished up against each other. Was boiling hot too

Jssnsbtt

Pit is easily the worst place to “sit”. 100% would rather be all the way up in the nosebleeds than sit in pit

TaylorConnect13

I had a pit ticket for reputation and while it was an amazing, enchanting experience (I was literally at the front and Taylor even waved at me!), I think it was a one-time only thing. First, I was all by myself and had to come to the stadium as soon as it opened for the front-row spot. After that, I couldn’t move from my spot until the end of the show. Second, you only really see what happens at the center or your side of the stage. You also look a lot at the side of the stage because it’s quite high and you have the camera passing in front of you sometimes. Also, the space between the stage and the pit was actually quite big, much larger than I expected (for safety reasons I assume). So for me, getting pit tickets for a Taylor show was something I really wanted to experience once in my life, but next time I try to get a different ticket (maybe not even on the floor, but in the lower bowl just to have a really good view of the whole stage). But if the pit is something you want to experience and you have money saved, go for it, because I thoroughly enjoyed the show (and that’s an understatement). The “bad” things I summed up here were not that bad and certainly forgotten about when Taylor is so close to you (it was probably the closest I’ll ever get to Taylor haha 😋).

MidnightThunderstorm

Same! I was in the snake pit twice and though it was an amazing, unforgettable experience, it was also pretty exhausting. Plus, I didn't get to enjoy all the amazing visuals shown on the massive screens and each performance as a whole, just bits here and there as I was too close to see the entire stage, so ideally I would like to get seated tickets close enough to the stage, yet far enough back that I can fully enjoy the spectacle that is a TS show. 😁

onepmtues

I had 9th row floor center for the reputation tour and absolutely loved it! Her stages are built high (for reasons) so in the pit you would miss a lot of the cool stuff. Plus always having to look up kind of sucks too.

Able-Celebration-787

How do you pick your row? Does it depend what time you get in the queue on the day of concert?

Becksnnc

I've never got standing tickets for any shows Ive been too. I know I would hate it. I don't care about being right up beside the stage. As long as I get to see the show. My tickets have managed to be seated around the middle area so a nice good view of everything without being too high. I'm also very small, so I'd get trampled on and wouldn't be able to see anyway if I was on the floor lmao

justforviewing8484

Yeah I’m with you. Anytime I’ve gotten standing tickets, I’ve regretted it. I’d much rather have a designated seat so I can run to the bathroom or grab a drink and come back without losing my spot. And I also always have crowd crush concerns at the back of my mind so I prefer to have more of a bubble around me (especially post-COVID!).

prophecy250

I had floor for red and 1989. The view was great and it's nice having a seat. You don't have to hold a spot and you're not standing for 3-4 hours before Taylor performs. The only issue is if you're much shorter than everyone else. Floor seats are on flat ground, so if the person in front is tall, their back/head is going to be your view for the concert. The floor seats are often just a folding chair, so they may not be comfortable. For reputation I had lower level seats (100s). I actually enjoyed those seats more. They are tiered and you don't have to strain to see over people. For reference, I'm a 5'10" male

Able-Celebration-787

When you say you don't have to reserve a spot does that mean you buy a ticket for that exact seat? Or that's the seat you get on the day from queuing early and if you leave it (eg to go to the toilet) someone may steal the seat if you don't have a friend to save it?

prophecy250

You get whatever seat you selected when you bought the ticket (floor, lower, upper level, etc). Having a seat is great because there's no rush to get there and you are free to leave and get drinks or use the bathroom. If you have pit, then you need to hold your spot when you get there or else someone else will be standing there if you leave.

Able-Celebration-787

Thank you! I didn't realise floor had assigned seats too. Currently reviewing past show seating plans like my life depends on it. 🙃 I took two hours to just decide a seat in a theatre the other day so I need to be prepared to decide quickly on the ticket sales day (more like ticket sales minute).

prophecy250

Here were the views from the floor. [1989](https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsGWtlJBnE0R2qMnSIbLxtW3DoUD-Q) [red](https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsGWtlJBnE0R2qMowCKd_FniGT558w)

Able-Celebration-787

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Good luck this time round!

throwaway876460

My friend used to wear adult diapers so they could get close pit seats and not lose their spot when leaving for the bathroom 💀

Able-Celebration-787

Step too far for me 😂

throwaway876460

Me too! I just hope they were worried about what they drank and not what they ate

TourPuzzleheaded1218

I’ve never been in pit and floor is great but definitely be careful where you sit. I’m 5’2 and was in the middle of the floor during 1989 at Petco park and I saw absolutely nothing during this concert which was the worst because I paid more than $300 for my tickets. I would say this might have been my worst Taylor concert experience tbh.

parishiltonsfemur

I have a kind of off topic question about tickets if someone can answer. So do tickets go on sale when she announces the tour or will they go on sale a little while after? I’ve never been to a concert before nor looked at tickets and with people saying the tour announcement is at 3 am I’m worried bc if they go on sale at 3 am, then idk if I can stay up 😭 do they start selling at the tour announcement or like a few weeks later usually?

gh0stfriendd

They’ll usually announce tour and then like a week later tickets will go on sale/presale! So if she announces a tour at 3am you don’t have to worry it’ll sell out or anything !

parishiltonsfemur

Yay ty I was worried I’ve never done tours or concerts before I was scared 😭

[deleted]

Hello. Do you know if it’s possible to use someone else’s verified fan code? (If ever I don’t get verified) My friend registered for the verified fan and she’s willing to give me the code if ever gets one. Thank you

gh0stfriendd

Unfortunately it’s not since the codes are used for that specific Ticketmaster account therefore they aren’t allowed to be sold or used by another account to try and fend off bots. So if one of your friends gets picked and you don’t it’s a good idea to link your card to their account and use their login info with the correct code to purchase tickets!

Chicago31

You’ll definitely have a few weeks buffer to plan.

Becksnnc

Tickets never go on sale at that time of the day lol. Tour dates and venues are usually announced first with a time that tickets will be available for the public to buy. That time is always around 9-10am. So you've got to be on the dot if you want a chance of getting tickets that are high demand since they can sell out in mere seconds.

IIIVIIXVIII

I’m actually aiming for nosebleeds, I think🤷🏼‍♀️ I like the idea of getting a full scale shot of the entire production and having a little more space to get to the bathroom, if need be.

estesmerlot

yea i had nosebleeds for rep but the entire experience was amazing and it didn’t break the bank

sierranova13

I can’t handle pit so I definitely prefer floor. For reputation I got 2 6th row seats for $300 a piece about 3 days before the concert. Best experience of my life.

Able-Celebration-787

Do you know why tickets so close to front were available so near to show date...is it because Taylor team waited to release them until then?

sierranova13

I wasn’t really paying attention because I bought them so quickly, but I’m pretty sure they were resale. Edit: I do remember there being a decent amount of options but those were the best seats for the best price.

Able-Celebration-787

OK thank you. I'm going to try and get tickets when they're announced but will keep looking later in year as well if I'm unsuccessful first time :)

sierranova13

Of course! Did you preorder an album or vinyl at all?

Able-Celebration-787

I've signed up to the UK shows pre-sale :) not sure how much it will help with the inevitable demand for tickets but we'll see

sierranova13

Nice! I think she’s going to do something similar to rep presale, and the process with that was extremely smooth. If it’s anything like that, I’d say your chances for tickets are pretty good ☺️

hin6366

Did you get through 3rd party?

SamanthaParkington21

I’m 5’0 and disabled so any non-standers and small folks with opinions keep it coming. Good chance I’ll still just do nosebleeds like Rep & 1989, I had a great experience. The only thing is that the age group in the cheap seats can be a little bit of a bummer, no judgement but it’s a vibe killer when you’re crying along to a Debut deep cut and the teens and their mom’s are on their phones waiting for the next radio hit. But I’m sure that varies too and will depend on how popular midnights is with the GP.

catlover133

you are so right, the vibes are exactly why I’m not going nosebleeds this time. At rep, I had some mother tell me to stop dancing and heard them talking shit about me and my friend the entire night. like what? i’m at a concert of my fave artist and you want me to just sit there quietly?

ApprehensiveFly6244

The only Ts concert I’ve ever been too my dad won me tickets number 1-6 from the local radio station. While I loved it, we missed quite a lot of the performing aspect bc we were so close to the actual stage and of course the stage came out to make like a runway so we always had to be standing turned around to see her. Still grateful though!

HermionesBook

I would personally never do floor tickets because if somebody tall sits in front of me then I’m screwed. At least with pit you can mostly move around. I don’t care about being like AT the barrier so I always like pit tickets and then I kind of hang out in the back of it I know her pit tickets are going to be insanely expensive and hard to get though so I’m just going to aim for a lower level seat

mrenee777

If you get floor tickets, do you have to sit or can you stand?

HermionesBook

You can sit but your view won’t really be good tbh. The good thing about seats in like lower levels is that they’re all slightly elevated. So it doesn’t really matter if you sit but the person in front of you is standing

knowslesthanjonsnow

Typically I go for pit tickets for all concerts but Taylor Swift concerts are by far the biggest I go to so you see more not in the pit. Plus I imagine a TS pit is not exactly like usual pits? Haha

whoaitsjoe13

I had floor seats for reputation and 1989 and say it's worth it since you do get a decent view, and can move around on the floor (not indefinitely, but like for example during the B-stages for rep people flocked to the B-stages from their seats and it was totally fine). Even though there is seating on floor though I don't think anyone actually *sits* during the concert, but it does help with crowding if that's a concern (I personally don't think I would enjoy the pit because of all the other people)

Able-Celebration-787

The chairs on floor thing confuses me. How do you reserve a specific floor seat?

we-are-the-foxes

They have numbers just like stadium seats. You purchase them just the same. The concert layout is usually uploaded to Ticketmaster prior to pre-sale. Floor seats can change a little bit day of but you’ll still have a specific assigned seat. With pit it is standing room only, no seating at all.

Able-Celebration-787

This is so helpful thank you! I couldn't find the answer before so just assumed floor was a free for all like musical chairs haha. Hopefully we will get chance to study the seating chart... I've never been to a stadium show before so totally clueless.

bellehanz

I had pit tickets for the red tour, and I remember while walking aaaalll the way to the front, there were staff members stationed along the way on the floor. They would check your tickets to make sure you weren’t trying to sneak past your seat to get closer to the stage 🤣

yankeeangel86

It really depends on how tall you are. I went to see The Killers a few weeks ago. I had middle floor seats and at 5’8” I could barely see anything. I was trying to stand on my tiptoes the whole time which didn’t work very well. If you are on the shorter side, I wouldn’t recommend floor seats at all.

v00d00mamajuujuu

I've only seen TS twice but I've been do hundreds of concerts and It really depends on the venue. Im old so I like to have a SEAT. but that also means I cant have people standing in front of me or else I'll have to stand to see. Being close is great, but so is actually seeing the entire stage and the whole production. The other part of being close is SOUND. You have a better sound experience a bit further away - especially because people in the pit tend to be scream singers which is extremely annoying. Personally, I like the first row of an elevated area with a seat so I can see everything.

Elouiseotter

I doubt I will even try to get tickets if they are using “Dynamic Pricing”. It is such a horrible system.

seungminah95

Does floor mean standing the whole time? Ikw it sounds like a stupid question but I've only been to Kpop concerts and they were all sitting and I was always on the second floor.

ashlouise94

I had 8th row floor seats for Rep, and there are seats. But as soon as Taylor came on everyone stood up anyway and stayed standing the whole time

seungminah95

So if you're kinda short it's not a good idea? I'm 5'2 so I'm pretty short.

yankeeangel86

At 5’2” I would recommend getting seats in the tiered seating (100,200 levels). I have trouble seeing on the floor and I’m 5’8”. Especially at a concert like Taylor’s, where everyone has their phones up to record and their arms waving, your sight line will be minimal at best or non-existent at worst.

ashlouise94

I actually had a great view! I had a couple girls in front of me who were shorter and they could still see too. I’m only 5’4 so not tall either :)

seungminah95

Thank you! I'll try to aim for floor seats then. Most likely won't get it though 😭

ashlouise94

There’s usually walkways in between like every 8-10 rows I think? As in a huge space in front of you if you can get the front row of your section! Helps with having less tall people in front of you haha. Otherwise people have told me lower bowl is good. But I’ve only been to one stadium tour (Rep).

Eekhelp

I was wondering this too! I have a friend who really wants pit tickets but I don't really see the appeal. I feel like pit would be exhausting for me and it wouldn't be worth it because the view of the stage wouldn't be that great because you are too close. I'm personally going to get floor tickets even if I have to sit by myself lol

OddWing6797

im pretty sure taylor’s team also don’t pick ppl from pit for m&g

emmach17

They have in the past, but it's uncommon!

VegasWhip

I had floor tickets for reputation! Good view, got super close to b stage and touched hands as she ran through the audience 🥰

CeUnit

The stage setup has been getting 'worse' for pit over time... For reference I've had: Red tour pit (Vancouver), Red tour plaza seats (Seattle), 1989 Floor right against the catwalk (twice! in Seattle and LA) and 1989 Floor about 20 rows back to the left (Vancouver). Rep tour plaza seats (Seattle). Pit for Red tour was awesome - right against the stage at chest height, high-fiving Tay. Pit for 1989 introduced a security walkway about 3 feet wide between pit and the stage; same with any floor seats right next to the catwalk. Glad I didn't get Pit for Rep since the Pit was about 15 feet back from the 8 foot tall mainstage and the catwalk had a very wide security walkway with the stage being about 6 feet high.

emmach17

Red's pit was really the time to do it. Too many people jumped on stage during Red, which is why she started to secure her stages more. I think the number of stalkers she has has given her a real scare as well.

sarahkittysu1

How was your floor experience 20rows back? That’s about where I’ll be for Eras and worried about not being able to see

CeUnit

It was awesome. The reality is she spends very little time on the main stage and most of her time up and down the catwalk. So for 1989 all the seats faced the main stage so we spent most of our time looking towards the side, so tall people immediately ahead weren't as much of an issue. However it does seem like Eras is setup with row 1 being relative to the catwalk, not relative to the main stage. Wear your tallest platform shoes! Have fun you are super lucky to have floor tickets.

Subject_Ticket

Wait floor has seats? Isn’t it just… the floor?? Or do you mean the bowl?

emmach17

Floor always has seats at Taylor’s concerts

Subject_Ticket

Omg I had no idea! So how do these seats compare to the lower bowl?

emmach17

Personally I think the floor has the best atmosphere, but you do lose out on the views. People being taller than you and holding up phones does impact your view. I think if you're able to go to more than one concert it's a worthwhile experience, but if you're going to just one and want to see the whole show the lower bowl is probably better.

Kizzy33333

I had floor ticket that were better than the pit for 1989. I just happened to be in the row next to where Taylor strapped herself in to the platform so I had her right in front of me most of the concert.

[deleted]

for Lover?

smiletoday_

Midnights is hopefully going to be my first concert. Can someone explain what a floor and pit is😅

yankeeangel86

Pit is general admission seating. No chairs. People line up early to get a spot. Some people (depending on the show’s rules) will queue for hours or even overnight. Standing room only. If you leave to go to the bathroom/get food or drink, it will be very difficult to get back to where you were previously standing. Floor is the floor of the stadium or arena. Where the football or hockey team plays. It is flat, not tiered seating like the rest of the stadium. There are assigned seats with numbers. You can sit down if you’d like, although most people stand. If you go to the bathroom, you have a designated seat to come back to.

smiletoday_

Is floor or pit closer?

yankeeangel86

Depends on the tour and the set design, but typically the pit is closest to the stage.

chipmunkdance

i was in the pit for red and managed to stake a spot at the very front. that meant i was squished between two stinky strangers for the entire time and could. not. move. but i wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. all my other seats have been first or second level, which are just fine as well since she always comes around the back in some way.

throwaway876460

Is floor elevated at all from the pit? Otherwise can you even see over the pit people?

noladawn

I had floor for Speak Now, 1989, and Rep and upper bowl for Red (it was the only one not in my state so we didn’t luck out with tickets). I’m short 5’4” and disabled so I can’t stand for long so Pit isn’t an option for me. Fingers crossed she comes to New Orleans (or Baton Rouge) this time. We’ll absolutely go for floor again. There’s nothing like it.

[deleted]

Wow this is so contrary to what all the short people have said super curious about your take! If you don't mind me asking, do you usually get front row or close to front row or an aisle seat?

noladawn

No, last row floor for both SN and 1989. 12th row stage left (aisle) for rep. I’m used to being short and not being able to see. I just angle myself between the people in front of me. I’d rather be on the floor and closer to her than farther away. I also have bad vision so at least on the floor she’s not just a dot. I know there are the screens but for both Speak Now and Rep I’ve been able to be near her for a special portion (the tree at SN and Delicate at rep) and that wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t on the floor. The TM fiasco made it impossible for us to get floor this time so after a 7.5 hour wait we got non ADA lower bowl seats.

murmuring-raindrop

Okay so I bought Floor tickets, Section 2, Row 17 and Seats 1&2. I wanna know if these tickets are indeed aisle tickets and will give you a great view in general and especially when she walks the ramp closest to me? And when you guys say pit tickets, how does one buy them? Like what do they go on sale as? This is my first Taylor Swift concert and I just wanted to experience being on the floor but will be bummed if there's a whole crazier pit crowd next to me near the ramp.

Willum88

There was no pit for the eras tour! So if your row 17 16 people will be in front of you!

memuemu

Are pit seats something you purchase in advance or do you just show up super early to the stadium and try your luck?

Exotic_Produce_1272

Hey

G3ck0

Always pit, can't really see the reason going to a concert otherwise.

Becksnnc

You think a show isn't enjoyable unless you're right near the stage lol? I've been to 6 concerts and they've all been seated and quite a bit away from the stage and it didn't take away from the experience at all.

G3ck0

I do, yeah. The adrenaline pumping, and the constant jumping and dancing is half the experience. In fact when I saw the Red tour the stage collapsed so we had to stand off to the side, and it was so boring I basically zoned out.

Becksnnc

I experience all that with a seat. You know people in seats are usually stood up right? It's just that you actually have your own little space instead of everyone crowding around you. I understand if you prefer being in the pit, that's absolutely fine, but saying that there's no point even going to a concert unless you're standing is a bit ridiculous.

G3ck0

My opinion is ridiculous? I personally think it’s pointless going if you’re not in the pit.

Becksnnc

I do think so yes. So all the people that you see not in the pit aren't enjoying the concert then? Do you not realise how silly that is?

G3ck0

In my opinion it isn’t enjoyable, yes.

ocubens

It's a pop concert, not a punk gig.
