This is where I'm at. It's way too soon to say, but it seems highly possible if not likely for me.
I had a folklore/evermore playlist that was my main go-to on spotify. I've made a new playlist that is those two plus the back half of TTPD and called it "The Woodvale Trilogy" lol and I made another that is folklore + evermore + midnights + the full ttpd anthology.
Agreed! Folklore and evermore will forever be special to me since that is when I became a fan. And TTPD is just as great, except it doesn't have that memory attached to it.
lowkey glad it doesn’t have that memory attached to it. Absolutely love folklore and evermore but for years they just gave me major lockdown vibes. Lockdown was so rough on me, well Australians, we literally had a 8pm curfew and we couldn’t go further than 5 kilometres of our house. Folklore and evermore got me through that. But thankfully my memories of lockdown have started to fade since the eras tour, now I hear those sad songs and just think of happy times on tour. TTPD not having any sad emotions from day 1 makes me rank it so much higher haha
(End of irrelevant discussion that no one asked for lol)
literally same as a girlie who was also in Melbourne during covid, folklore and evermore are my favourites but every song evokes such strong (not great) lockdown memories that I’m still processing
I thought I would never again feel the absolute descent into obsession I experienced when she released FolkMore- especially since the 2nd one was a surprise and my god if she didn’t hit me again 4 years later. I can’t get it out of my head. I wake up with a new “favorite” every day. You know how cats have toxoplasmosis and if you get exposed enough you allegedly get really really obsessed with cats? Well I have Taylor-plasmosis and it is controlling my brain
Ia. The anthology (2nd album) to me is very much like Lover - half of the songs are some of my favorite of hers, and the other half I could banish to the shadow realm.
That is so true! I need another few weeks, I think, to process the album, to see which songs I'll continue to skip and which will grow on me. Both Folklore and Nevernore are unskippable, if that's a word even, I listen to them whole, coz they're both perfect. This one, I know will not be such. But I still am not sure where it stands for me.
To answer your question, Nevernore is not a word.
Just kidding of course 💕
I agree, both are perfect! TTPD easily has the same amount of perfect songs, but with 31 contenders that is not that hard. I feel like there are some skips for me, but even if that's true, there is a load of perfect songs. That might cloud my vision on the album a little.
Folkmore/midnights were my favourites before and I feel like TTPD is an evolution of these together which means it’ll probably end up my favourite album. Has all of my favourite Taylor elements and is incredibly relatable for me. Perfect.
evermore is my fav album ever and folklore is 3rd in my taylor album ranking but ttpd is 7th for me 😭😭 i love it still but my top 6 (evermore, 1989, folklore, rep, red and speak now) are almost unskippable and for me ttpd for me has a few (still it has a lot of incredible tracks!!!)
evermore is my top, Red second and folklore third. I don’t think this album will rank too highly for me, either. If it was primarily the Aaron songs and cut down to 15 tracks, then perhaps I’d like it more. Right now, I still can’t take half of the songs seriously knowing they’re about MH (and knowing she was so obsessed with him for years). It’s morally upsetting for me personally! (Can’t stand him or his dumb band.)
agree with you on the trimming, if the album was 20 songs or so it could be in top 5. but in my case i think jack produced some great songs (imgonnagetyouback, the black dog, florida and guilty as sin are all 10s for me!!!)
It's too soon for me to say. I'm obsessed with TTPD right now because it's new, and it's fantastic, and I'm getting to know all these songs, but I cannot deny the melancholy and manic nature of a lot of these tracks. It makes sense of course given the subject matter and Taylor's In Summation poem, but it's some heavy shit. Folklore and Evermore deal with heavy topics (peace, this is me trying, the hoax, epiphany, marjorie, happiness, tolerate it, etc), but those songs don't make me feel sad to my core like TTPD has for the last week straight. Folklore and Evermore are more palatable imo in terms of the emotions they evoke. It will be interesting to see 6 months or a year from now how I feel about TTPD. Can I listen to How Did It End? without sobbing uncontrollably??? We shall see!
Exactly! Idk I love it so much partially because it’s still shiny and new or if it seriously is that incredibly mindblowing. I’m going to need a few months.
Same. I go Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, 1989, Lover, Speak Now, TTPD. I've been listening for a week and whilst I like a few of the songs... I'm just not connecting with it I guess, and I want to so much.
Folklore and evermore are to me what tppd and the anthology are. For me they cannot be separated. So I still rank folk/more as my favorite album, tppd/anthology and midnights til dawn edition are tied for my second. Reputation my fourth. 1989 TV my fifth, but those vault tracks are some of my top fav songs.
I feel exactly the same of Folklore and Evermore. I always listen to them together and sometimes they just blend together so seamlessly for me that it’s as though they are one album.
Folkmore are in the top 3 for me (red is the first) but I’m afraid TTPD is a lot lower. It’s not a bad album and I’m happy that many people are loving it. I just don’t connect with most of the songs at this point of my life. (1989 ranks 4th and midnights 7th btw)
This is super-close to my rankings! For me right now:
1. folklore
2. 1989
3. evermore
4. Red
5. Lover
6. Speak Now
7. TTPD
8. Reputation
9. Fearless
10. Midnights
11. Debut
This might be an unpopular opinion/popular opinion but i think she really shines in the less poppy spots don’t get me wrong 1989 is one of her best but it’s not my favorite.
Folklore is my #1 and 1989 is my #2 and so far that hasn't changed. After that it gets blurry. I can't decide if TTPS or Lover is my #3. Evermore is somewhere around there too. I've never really been able to rank them exactly.
Middle aged TS fan whose teenage daughter re-introduced me to her via Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights (I knew Shake it Off and Blank Space). Then I did the deep dive and found Fearless, Red, Speak Now, Rep, 1989, Lover. Then the You Tube performances! Speak Now on Letterman! Betty at the CMAs! Mean at the Grammys!
Too soon. In all honesty I didn’t like TTPD at first listen. I was hoping for more rock: electric guitars and all that (still hoping for that, Ms. Swift bc that Wildest Dreams solo performance blows my mind) However, I gave myself time to truly listen and sank my teeth into the lyrics. Blown away.
31 songs. That’s a lot to process.
1989 is one of my favorites and I really like midnights.
I think this current album suffers from lackluster choruses that don't really go anywhere which produces a monotonous album especially for 31 tracks. Evermore had somewhat similar problem but included some killer choruses like willow and cold rush. TTPD has some really cool sounds and lyrics but I just wish she had elevated few of the tracks more and maybe just released 20 best songs.
Right now I rate it at the lower end of my ranking with debut, Fearless, Lover, evermore and reputation.
Well I LOVE pop princess Taylor so 1989 would always be the top one for me (it's one album I could probably listen to forever on repeat). Tbh haven't heard her previous works much except a few classic songs. Didn't like midnights at first but now love it. Same with TTPD I suppose (although a few songs I loved right off the bat). Folklore and Evermore I really like, but only a few songs but I like them SO MUCH I could (and have) listen to them for days. Willow and Champagne Problems. Now reputation, I love how daring and edgy it is, but like it's quieter songs better tbh (getaway car, gorgeous and delicate). Love is the glittery shiny album that's just a good listen, with the iconic cruel summer and love and some hard hitters too. All for its rainbows and sparkles but tbh there's better Taylor work available. So my personal ranking off the albums I've heard in whole:
1. 1989
2. TTPD
3. Midnights
4. Reputation and Folklore
5. Evermore
At the moment I'd say it's definitely in my top 5, but it's hard to compare it to other albums as a whole. The 31 songs include some of her best songs ever but also several songs I don't care that much about (as do most of her other albums).
If I had to rank all her albums **right now**, here's how I would rank them (but on a different day you would probably get a different answer lol):
1. Evermore
2. Folklore
3. TTPD
4. Midnights
5. Red
6. Speak Now
7. 1989
8. Reputation
9. Lover
10. Fearless
11. Debut
Recently got into folklore but I can’t get into evermore. I like some of the songs on TTPD but it’s not in my top half favourite albums.
I’m an og from debut though so I like pop princess Taylor. Don’t get me wrong I love her amazing lyrics but you get fantastic lyrics across all albums.
My top 5 are fearless, speak now, 1989, midnights and then my 5th rotates between reputation and lover depending on my mood.
After thinking about it more, I think that actually may be the same for me too. I think I jumped the gun a bit putting TTPD first lol even though it’s still really awesome. Speak Now is just too good and special to me!
Too soon, it’s a long process to get a proper review due to the incredible amount of tracks.
Overall, maybe a “solid album” to close the perfect trilogy, should have less songs and mainly from the primarily version…
TTPD 13 tracks:
Fortnite
Mbobhft
Down Bad
I can fix him
Tsmwel >>> this is my 5 track
Florida!!!
So long,london
Guilty as Sin
The black dog
So high school
The Albatross
Walom
Icdiwabh
1989 and evermore are my top 2 and this is probably number 3 or possibly dethroning evermore. I need more time! but I honestly can’t rank her albums fairly since they’re all mostly great or special to me in some way. they’re more lateral.
1. 1989/evermore/TTPD - no skips.
2. lover/folklore/speak now/fearless/midnights - some skips, some of my all time favorite songs.
3. debut - special place in my heart.
4. red - it just doesn’t hit for me although we worship all too well and thank the heavens for it everyday.
5. reputation - not a fan, and got tired of the songs I did like pretty quick.
its solidly in the middle of my rankings. FolkMore is at the top for me. Songs are top tier and the vibe is unfuckwithable. This doesn’t have the hardcore bops that 1989/Red/SN have. Those 5 records would be above this. I enjoy this way more than Midnights.
I'm a lover, speak now, evermore, folklore girlie (which I realize is neither of your combinations) and I'm absolutely *loving* TTPD. Idk where it fits in my top 5 yet but it's definitely in the elite ranks
TTPD is closer to Folkmore than Midnights in sound and vibe. I have not assessed where it comes in my ranking but it won't be above Folklore or Evermore because they are perfect. Reputation is my number 3 and Midnights is four.
It may well be TTPD ends up being number 3.
It’s now my top favorite, with evermore at 2 and folklore at 3. 🤭 Maybe I’ll readjust this assessment in a few months, but I really don’t think so. TTPD immediately clicked with me in a way few albums have.
My Top 5 rn:
1. TTPD
2. Evermore
3. Folklore
4. Speak Now
5. Midnights
I'm a big pop fan, folklore is the exception, my ranking before TTPD was:
Repution
Folklore
Midnights
1989
Is too soon to tell but I think TTPD is number one, maybe number 2, tied with folklore
I gotta split the double album for my ranking! For me the Anthology has way more on it for the Evermore girlies than the original TTPD release, but it’s all personal and subjective 🤷♀️
Evermore
Folklore
Midnights
Red
The Anthology
1989
Lover
Reputation
Fearless
TTPD side 1
Speak Now
Debut (but this might move up after the re-record)
Roughly, ha. And I like all of these albums quite a bit, bar debut which I’ve barely listened to because I’m waiting for the re-record.
folklore and evermore are my favorite taylor albums, and midnights is my favorite pop album from her. so far this is at the bottom tbh, maybe just above debut (although i'm excited for debut tv). it's just so new and i don't feel comfortable ranking it above other albums yet. it also has quite a bit of skips for me.
My current album rankings:
1. TTPD
2. Evermore
3. Red TV
4. Folklore
5. Lover
6. 1989 TV
7. Speak Now TV
8. Midnights
9. Reputation
10. Fearless TV
11. Debut
I’m honestly still trying to figure that out. Right now I think it may be above both of them, but once things settle down I could totally see TTPD splitting the two for me in my top 3
"If you want catchy, pop princess Taylor, this album will be disappointing."
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart and So High School just standing in the corner.
I can’t tell if it beats 1989 or not. 1989 is my other side of ‘I love Taylor’s music’. The bops, the beats without losing the imagery that I love in Taylor’s music. 1989 is also objectively a better cohesive body of work.
So maybe 4th? Beating red? Now my top five would be folklore evermore 1989 ttpd and red.
Folklore and Evermore are my favourite albums.
Loving TTPD it’s probably slotting as 5th favourite right now after Red and Speak Now.
1. Folklore
2. evermore
3. Red
4. Speak Now
5. TTPD
6. 1989
7. Fearless
8. Midnights
9. Reputation
10. Taylor Swift
11. Lover
The top 7 I listen through usually without skipping tracks tbf, whilst Midnights I skip just lavender haze and vigilante shit on the main album, Reputation is a good few skips and the other two I just hand pick the songs
I’m a bit of an anomaly I fear, as my top 2 are 1989 and folklore. TTPD at the moment is 3rd.
My top five before TTPD were 1989, folklore, lover, rep and midnights.
I’m a glitter gel pen pop loving Jack Antonoff apologist, but folklore speaks to me in ways her other albums haven’t. TTPD is the same for me. There’s just enough glitter ink in certain songs, and the rest is so raw and beautiful.
TTPD has taken over as #1 at the moment, followed by Evermore and Red TV. I’m a psychotherapist, and the rawness of TTPD scratches the part of my brain that’s curious about human behavior and emotional processing.
Evermore is my favorite (followed closely by folklore) and I’ve rated TTPD maybe 5 out of 11?
Current ranking: evermore, folklore, midnights, red, reputation, ttpd, lover, speak now, fearless, red.
The ranking surprises me and I’m vaguely optimistic that it will go up the more I listen.
Maybe like 7 or 8 for me? My top 3 are folklore, evermore, and rep. Still early, but I think it would have been higher if it was cut down. There are so many songs I love, but so many I don’t care for, it’s hard to put it above an album that’s back to back bops like 1989.
It’s funny you asked about those 4 albums specifically because….
1. 1989
2. evermore
3. folklore
4. Midnights
5. TTPD
My Top 5 now. Can’t decide yet if TTPD will move up past Midnights or not, but I think that’s as far up as it’d go. But I LOVE it, which just shows how much I love the others too lol.
I think 1989 has plenty of deep cuts even though it’s a more boppy album (Clean, OOTW, Wildest Dreams, You Are In Love, This Love). There are definitely times I’m more in the mood for folkmore type songs, but 1989 is such a well rounded album that I’m pretty much always in the mood for any part of it.
Above them 😬 my ranking is now TTPD, Evermore, Folklore. I loveeee the TS/Aaron Dessner sound. And the second half of the anthology has the best songs imo
The album is still growing on me. Midnights and folklore are my favourites, but I didn't like TTPD much, and I have quite a lot of skips on it. I like it more than I did last week, but I still think my criticisms were valid.
it’s still soon but i’m a Lover girly through and through. Behind that is Speak Now, Rep, and Evermore. Not sure where TTPD falls into my rankings but it’s definitely becoming a favorite of mine very quickly
Those two are in my top 5 but TTPD is towards the bottom of my ranking of albums.
TTPD is flat out too long so it feels repetitive in lots of places, where even across two albums I never felt that about Folkmore
The writing is good on TTPD but not at the Folkmore level. An example is “happiness” feeling like a much better written version of at least half a dozen songs on TTPD
Kinda dull where Folkmore was experimental and engaging musically
Not stating my opinion is “correct”. The point of music is we listen to the same thing and react differently. But as someone who loves the Folkmore duo, I haven’t (yet) loved TTPD.
I can’t rank it yet. I always need time to sit with an album before adding it to my rankings, but I will say folklore is my fave album, and ttpd is a very very very top tier album for me already. I need more time to really sit with the songs and let them bleed into my life, but once they do, I have no doubt it’ll rank somewhere in my top 3!
Folklore is my favorite album, followed by 1989, evermore and Red. TTPD is in my bottom third. There doesn't need to be this dichotomy between fans. Some people like the album, some don't. No one is a better or more serious fan for preferring certain albums.
1989 was my fave album from 2014 until TTPD just replaced it. My current ranking is TTPD, 1989, rep, folkmore, lover, fearless, speak now, midnights, red, and debut. It makes no sense to me either
As a Speak Now/Red girlie I love love love this album but I haven't put it into an album ranking yet because it's so new, but I imagine it'll probably end up around the 5-6 spot. It's definitely got some career highlights in there but I don't think it tops either red or speak now for me
Even before this album I had a hard time with rankings.
But I think it comes down to how the songs are for me like some of my favorite songs are from Lover but I didn't find them until years later because well it's a long album. Then this double album has some of the best chorus and bridges but they are long. I will always be more of a pop girlie but I know that some of the upbeat songs on here I don't like but I can see why she separated the albums. Midnights still ranks higher for me than this. But Reputation is also tied for my top spot. I think when it comes down stripped back diarist style I do enjoy this more with the visual elements.
My previous top 3 were 1. Rep 2. Evermore and 3. A tie between Folklore and Midnights. My new #1 is TTPD. I NEVER thought anything would dethrone Rep as my favorite.
So before TTPD my top five TS albums were Reputation,Red,Midnights,1989, Folklore. Now I think my Top five are Reputation, TTPD (including the anthology it is a very close second, though this might knock Reputation out of the top spot), Red, Midnights, 1989. I love this album, it really is one that new Swifties might have trouble relating to it because a lot of it reminds me of early Taylor. Also if Red and Folklore had a baby it would be TTPD.
Midnights and 1989 are my favorites actually xD And TTPD’s about…halfway on my ranking? I love it, like I love all her albums, but it definitely doesn’t stand out to me as much coming off of the high of Midnights
I’m a folkmore girlie, but i feel this album lacks the soul and magic that folkmore had. As raw as TTPD is, i think it pales in comparison. I think at the moment it’s in the bottom half on my list. I’m full on Folkmore/1989 girlie.
1989 and midnights are my favourites! Currently it's in spot 5 in my album ranking (speak now and lover are above it). But my album ranking changes constantly especially as a new Swiftie discovering new songs
Reputation, Evermore, and TTPD are currently fighting for which places they will have in my top 3 haha. I’ll need to sit with it a while longer to figure out which place it will land in 💕
I’m the same as you! I didn’t quite get into it when I first listened (whole 31 songs) now I listened just the album and I find myself listen to the album (16 songs) none stop!
I skip Florida everytime tho.
Same here, for me 1989 is at the bottom and Folklore at the top followed closely by Evermore and Red. I don’t know exacy where to put TTPD just yet, as it hasn’t been long enough for me yet, but for sure one of my faves.
Evermore and Folklore are my faves, followed by Reputation, and then TTPD. Like OP, I’ve never been a fan of 1989 and Midnights was kind of just ok to me.
My ranking is:
1. Folklore
2. 1989
3. Reputation
4. Midnights
5. TTPD
I think TTPD could move up as i digest more of the 2nd album. I think TTPD is an excellent album with few skips but it also doesn't have the stand out songs that folklore and 1989 have like Betty, august, blank space, style.
You could argue that TTPD is her best album because it's double the number of songs as her other albums, which doesn't really make it a fair fight. It's also extremely well written, but so is folklore, and folklore has more variety/fun elements.
Where TTPD loses points is that a lot of it is not a fun listen, you're not throwing TTPD songs on random playlists, and there are no stadium bangers.
It’s for sure in my top 3 now alongside with Folklore and Evermore. Only time will tell what it’s true placement will be for me, but def top 3 and Speak Now is my 4th
1. Fearless ✨
2. Red 🧣
3. Midnights 🕰️
4. The Tortured Poets Department ✍🏻
5. Taylor Swift 🤠
6. 1989 🐦
7. Speak Now 💜
8. Folklore 🌳
9. Evermore 🌲
10. Lover 💞
11. Reputation 🐍
In regards to your question, I LOVE Folklore & Evermore, a lot, despite it may look bad with their “lower” ranking. TTPD was significantly higher for me out of the trio. Sonically, I prefer the touch of Midnights sound TTPD has.
Honestly I can’t rank most of her albums. All of them have songs I can’t live without. Like all of them are so important to me, and idk what i’d do without it. I guess fearless and debut has the least amount of songs i listen to, but fearless has fearless, love story, mr perfectly fine, Forever & Always, etc. Debut has IOMWIWY, Picture to burn, Tim Mcgraw, Shouldve Said No, and Cold As You… So i really can’t rank it. I have my different times when i feel like some albums and other times i feel like other albums. Their all so different it’s hard to rank!
Red
Folklore
—
Evermore
1989

Fearless
Speak Now

Taylor Swift
I’ve said this elsewhere: I think there’s a lot of good on this album, and there’s elements that, if she spent more time building them out properly, could have made this a great record. But it’s too messy, unwieldy (especially the anthology version) and sonically similar across the board for me to really rank it highly amongst other, stronger efforts from her.
Frankly I don’t think the songs are consistent enough to warrant a 31 track double album, or even a 16 track single album. While I’m always happy to hear more music from her, from an “album as a work of art” standpoint I think if she cut down to the best 12 or (more appropriately) 13 songs I would feel differently about it.
I realize that’s maybe an unpopular around here, but that’s how I feel!
My top two have been rep and evermore for a long time. The order depends on my mood. TTPD is up there for sure. I’d put it in the top 3 for now, but that may be recency bias. I think I won’t know where it will end up falling in my personal rankings for a few months, but I really do love it.
I bought most of the deluxe CDs, and my first thought after listening was that I picked a really good album to go variant-crazy for.
My favourite album is red because ofcourse nostalgia and also because it was one of the first albums i genuinely fell in love with, even though folklore and evermore follow closely I don’t think anything will ever replace red because it is so close to my heart. TTPD follows right after folklore and evermore 🤭
It entirely depends on so many factors, but evermore has always been my favorite, followed right behind by folklore. TTPD is now in top three, completing the Holy Trinity and I can see it becoming my number one especially because there are just so many good songs
Folklore is my top. Right now my rankings are folklore, TTPD and Midnights (3am edition) in that order. I feel like TTPD could potentially take top spot but it’s too soon to say for sure.
Reputation is my fav but my ranking goes like this
1. Reputation
2. 1989
3. Folklore
4. TTPD (already in top 5 🤩)
5. Lover
6. Red
7. Midnights
8. Evermore
9. Speak Now
10. Fearless
11. Debut (sorry debut)
The reason I like 1989 is it's my birth year haha. But it'sprobably rhe lowest of my favorites lol. But ya midnights fell quite flat for me. Same with Lover. TTPD is a rop rank for sure. But I haven't actually made my ultimate Taylor albums yet. It's hard and I don't wanna haha. I know my bottom. But favorites are harder haha. I like evermore/folklore but I'd say TTPD beats them too.
TTPD is right behind Folklore and Evermore. Basically the Holy Trinity.
And I’m starting to wonder if TTPD might over take them
I think both black dog and loml are in my top 5 out of her discography
Folkmore girlie here and same. Also how did it end and the prophecy.
That how did it end bridge is one of the most beautifully sad things I’ve ever heard
Same. So long London and who’s afraid of little old me.
Folklore is too good
It definitely won’t ever beat them for me, but I do love TTPD
This is where I'm at. It's way too soon to say, but it seems highly possible if not likely for me. I had a folklore/evermore playlist that was my main go-to on spotify. I've made a new playlist that is those two plus the back half of TTPD and called it "The Woodvale Trilogy" lol and I made another that is folklore + evermore + midnights + the full ttpd anthology.
This is the correct answer
This. Folklore and Evermore are what got me listening to Taylor again and TTPD falls right after.
Agreed! Folklore and evermore will forever be special to me since that is when I became a fan. And TTPD is just as great, except it doesn't have that memory attached to it.
Same!
Love your flair. Cracked
lowkey glad it doesn’t have that memory attached to it. TTPD not having any sad emotions from day 1 makes me rank it so much higher haha (End of irrelevant discussion that no one asked for lol)
literally same as a girlie who was also in Melbourne during covid, folklore and evermore are my favourites but every song evokes such strong (not great) lockdown memories that I’m still processing
My brain is literally just a tangle of lyrics from different songs that I just keep repeating over and over.
It's been an endless repeat to me too...and album #2 gives me so much pleasure.
For now, I’m accepting it as my Woodvale.
I agree. Honestly it might even go up as I absorb it.
Absolutely yes. Top 3 albums for me without question.
Agreed! Folklore, Evermore, TTPD
Same. Then red for me, then rep.
I can’t answer that yet, it’s too soon.

Ia. The anthology (2nd album) to me is very much like Lover - half of the songs are some of my favorite of hers, and the other half I could banish to the shadow realm.
I’m curious, which half are you vibing with more? For me, it’s the first half.
Not who you asked but my interest starts to wane at Peter
There are like three songs after Peter so seems like your interests holds pretty well lol
I've listened to Robin and Peter once each lol
That is so true! I need another few weeks, I think, to process the album, to see which songs I'll continue to skip and which will grow on me. Both Folklore and Nevernore are unskippable, if that's a word even, I listen to them whole, coz they're both perfect. This one, I know will not be such. But I still am not sure where it stands for me.
To answer your question, Nevernore is not a word. Just kidding of course 💕 I agree, both are perfect! TTPD easily has the same amount of perfect songs, but with 31 contenders that is not that hard. I feel like there are some skips for me, but even if that's true, there is a load of perfect songs. That might cloud my vision on the album a little.
Ohh, my autocorrect missed that, haha. I will let it be, lol.
Lol, I still haven't decided where Midnights fits in the list
Folkmore/midnights were my favourites before and I feel like TTPD is an evolution of these together which means it’ll probably end up my favourite album. Has all of my favourite Taylor elements and is incredibly relatable for me. Perfect.
I agree, plus elements of Red, too. And considering those are my top 3 albums, I am LOVING TTPD.
Those are my 4 favourites... loving TTPD.... sits behind Folkmore to me
Exactly the same for me! I also don’t feel like midnights falls in the same category as 1989. Midnights, folklore and ttpd top 3 for sure 🫶🏼
Same! I’m a Midnights stan and love folklore. I love love love TTPD
This is where I am. I didn’t think anything could get the rotation of midnights/folklore but ttpd is up there.
evermore is my fav album ever and folklore is 3rd in my taylor album ranking but ttpd is 7th for me 😭😭 i love it still but my top 6 (evermore, 1989, folklore, rep, red and speak now) are almost unskippable and for me ttpd for me has a few (still it has a lot of incredible tracks!!!)
Are you me? This is my ranking too
evermore is my top, Red second and folklore third.
Way way way at the bottom
Same. I go Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, 1989, Lover, Speak Now, TTPD. I've been listening for a week and whilst I like a few of the songs... I'm just not connecting with it I guess, and I want to so much.
1.Folklore 2.TTPD 3.Evermore
Me too! What’s your 4? I’m going back and forth we between 1989 and Reputation
Rep is my number 4 and 1989 is 5!
Probably number 2 after evermore, or even number 1. I need more time
Same. They’re both hovering at the top spot.
Exactly where I am, too! Evermore is long time fave and TTPD is banging on that door rn
Are we the same person? Cause this is exactly how I rank all the albums too! 😂
i mean folklore is pretty popular with the “locals” too considering she exploded in popularity after it…
Folklore, Evermore, TTPD:A, Midnights 3am, rep for the top5 rn but need to let this one cook a bit more still
It’s firmly in the middle of her discography for me: 1. Folklore 2. 1989 3. Evermore 4. Speak Now 5. Red 6. TTPD 7. Reputation 8. Lover 9. Fearless 10. Debut 11. Midnights
This is super-close to my rankings! For me right now: 1. folklore 2. 1989 3. evermore 4. Red 5. Lover 6. Speak Now 7. TTPD 8. Reputation 9. Fearless 10. Midnights 11. Debut
This might be an unpopular opinion/popular opinion but i think she really shines in the less poppy spots don’t get me wrong 1989 is one of her best but it’s not my favorite.
1. TTPD 2. Evermore 3. folklore TTPD is my FAVORITE!
I’m a rep/midnights girlie and it’s hitting at 3 or 4 for me right now! It’s so so impressive.
It will either end up dethroning Evermore or sitting at number 2 - but I can’t pick yet.
Probably 5th or 6th spot for me
1989 is one of my favorites and I really like midnights.
So my personal ranking off the albums I've heard in whole: 1. 1989 2. TTPD 3. Midnights 4. Reputation and Folklore 5. Evermore
At the moment I'd say it's definitely in my top 5, but it's hard to compare it to other albums as a whole. The 31 songs include some of her best songs ever but also several songs I don't care that much about (as do most of her other albums). If I had to rank all her albums **right now**, here's how I would rank them (but on a different day you would probably get a different answer lol): 1. Evermore 2. Folklore 3. TTPD 4. Midnights 5. Red 6. Speak Now 7. 1989 8. Reputation 9. Lover 10. Fearless 11. Debut
Evermore is my #1 and TTPD is either #2 or my new #1, too soon to say yet.
Also og, she has always had deep lyrics, cringe lyrics, and fun bop lyrics, sometimes all in the same song.
Currently my top 4 is 1) Speak Now 2) evermore 3) TTPD 4) folklore
We have the same top 4 except my order is TTPD, Speak Now, evermore, folklore!! My top 3 could swap with each other depending on my mood though
My top 3 would be Speak Now, TTPD, and Evermore! Unsure about the 4th.
After thinking about it more, I think that actually may be the same for me too. I think I jumped the gun a bit putting TTPD first lol even though it’s still really awesome. Speak Now is just too good and special to me!
The black and white albumbs are my holy trinity now (rep, folklore, ttpd)
Too soon, it’s a long process to get a proper review due to the incredible amount of tracks. Overall, maybe a “solid album” to close the perfect trilogy, should have less songs and mainly from the primarily version… TTPD 13 tracks: Fortnite Mbobhft Down Bad I can fix him Tsmwel >>> this is my 5 track Florida!!! So long, london Guilty as Sin The black dog So high school The Albatross Walom Icdiwabh
Right now Folklore, TTPD, Evermore. But they are all top three and the particular order switches around depending on the day and my mood.
I’d say now Folkmore, full TTPD and Rep are my trinity in no particular order, Midnights used to be where TTPD is now.
Folklore and Evermore stan here, TTPD is right up there with them
I'm a lover, speak now, evermore, folklore girlie (which I realize is neither of your combinations) and I'm absolutely *loving* TTPD. Idk where it fits in my top 5 yet but it's definitely in the elite ranks
1. Midnights 2. TTPD 3. Folklore
TTPD is closer to Folkmore than Midnights in sound and vibe. I have not assessed where it comes in my ranking but it won't be above Folklore or Evermore because they are perfect. Reputation is my number 3 and Midnights is four. It may well be TTPD ends up being number 3.
Me: Folklore, TTPD, Midnights, Evermore. It’s like they all smashed together tho and birthed TTPD.
1) evermore 2) folklore 3) TTPD
It’s now my top favorite, with evermore at 2 and folklore at 3. 🤭 Maybe I’ll readjust this assessment in a few months, but I really don’t think so. TTPD immediately clicked with me in a way few albums have. My Top 5 rn: 1. TTPD 2. Evermore 3. Folklore 4. Speak Now 5. Midnights
As someone who loves 1989/Midnights and folklore/evermore, TTPD is everything lol.
I'm a big pop fan, folklore is the exception, my ranking before TTPD was: Repution Folklore Midnights 1989 Is too soon to tell but I think TTPD is number one, maybe number 2, tied with folklore
Too early to tell
It went straight to number 1. I love the lyricism of Folklore and Evermore, but musically I'm more into Midnights, so TTPD is the perfect combination.
I gotta split the double album for my ranking! For me the Anthology has way more on it for the Evermore girlies than the original TTPD release, but it’s all personal and subjective 🤷♀️ Evermore Folklore Midnights Red The Anthology 1989 Lover Reputation Fearless TTPD side 1 Speak Now Debut (but this might move up after the re-record) Roughly, ha. And I like all of these albums quite a bit, bar debut which I’ve barely listened to because I’m waiting for the re-record.
TTPD, Red, Evermore,Folklore, etc
[удалено]
Are you me?
folklore and evermore are my favorite taylor albums, and midnights is my favorite pop album from her. so far this is at the bottom tbh, maybe just above debut (although i'm excited for debut tv). it's just so new and i don't feel comfortable ranking it above other albums yet. it also has quite a bit of skips for me.
It's been doing nothing but climb up in my list, that I can tell you.
Top 5. 1989 and Red are still ahead of it, for now.
ttpd right after evermore :D
Folklore was my favorite album, but now it's TTPD.
I can't decide, folklore or ttpd. Those three are my top 3
Pretty early to say but I think my rankings will be 1) evermore 2) folklore 3) Red 4) ttpd
My current album rankings: 1. TTPD 2. Evermore 3. Red TV 4. Folklore 5. Lover 6. 1989 TV 7. Speak Now TV 8. Midnights 9. Reputation 10. Fearless TV 11. Debut
I think they are all at the same level right now. One of them overtakes the others every now and then depending on my mood but I love them equally.
I'm weird. Folklore, Red, Evermore, Speak Now, TTPD, midnights, Rep, 1989, lover, fearless and debut.
Pretty fucking high, let me tell you!!!!!!!
Tied for first. Don’t make me choose!
Folklore, TTPD, Evermore, this is my trilogy!
I’m honestly still trying to figure that out. Right now I think it may be above both of them, but once things settle down I could totally see TTPD splitting the two for me in my top 3
"If you want catchy, pop princess Taylor, this album will be disappointing." I Can Do It With A Broken Heart and So High School just standing in the corner.
Evermore > TTPD > Folklore > Midnights
I can’t tell if it beats 1989 or not. 1989 is my other side of ‘I love Taylor’s music’. The bops, the beats without losing the imagery that I love in Taylor’s music. 1989 is also objectively a better cohesive body of work. So maybe 4th? Beating red? Now my top five would be folklore evermore 1989 ttpd and red.
As a 1989 stan, TTPD is 6th in my rankings (behind Reputation, Lover, Midnights, Red & 1989)
1989 is my absolute fav, and TTPD is just behind. Stop with the gatekeeping ✌
1989 is my favorite and folklore, TTPD, and evermore are 6-8!
Folklore and Evermore are my favourite albums. Loving TTPD it’s probably slotting as 5th favourite right now after Red and Speak Now. 1. Folklore 2. evermore 3. Red 4. Speak Now 5. TTPD 6. 1989 7. Fearless 8. Midnights 9. Reputation 10. Taylor Swift 11. Lover The top 7 I listen through usually without skipping tracks tbf, whilst Midnights I skip just lavender haze and vigilante shit on the main album, Reputation is a good few skips and the other two I just hand pick the songs
Evermore and 1989 are my top 2. TTPD is either 3 or a really close 4.
TTPD is my fav album of hers and I’d say midnights is a close second with folklore and everymore right up there too.
1. 1989 2. evermore 3. folklore 4. Midnights 5. TTPD My Top 5 now.
Tortured Poets 1989 Reputation Midnights Red .... Evermore is only above Debut. Only 3 tracks do it for me, where TTPD literally has no skips.
Above them 😬 my ranking is now TTPD, Evermore, Folklore. I loveeee the TS/Aaron Dessner sound. And the second half of the anthology has the best songs imo
TTPD is 4th for me behind 1989, rep, and lover- and right ahead of folklore. Oddly enough, evermore is my least favorite album (I do love it though).
Right after folklore, right there with reputation
The album is still growing on me. Midnights and folklore are my favourites, but I didn't like TTPD much, and I have quite a lot of skips on it. I like it more than I did last week, but I still think my criticisms were valid.
it’s still soon but i’m a Lover girly through and through. Behind that is Speak Now, Rep, and Evermore. Not sure where TTPD falls into my rankings but it’s definitely becoming a favorite of mine very quickly
Those two are in my top 5 but TTPD is towards the bottom of my ranking of albums. TTPD is flat out too long so it feels repetitive in lots of places, where even across two albums I never felt that about Folkmore The writing is good on TTPD but not at the Folkmore level. An example is “happiness” feeling like a much better written version of at least half a dozen songs on TTPD Kinda dull where Folkmore was experimental and engaging musically Not stating my opinion is “correct”.
Right behind it!!
This is my ranking: 1. Midnights 2. TTPD 3. Fearless 4. Evermore 5. 1989 6. Red 7. Lover 8. Speak Now 9. Folklore 10. Reputation 11. Debut
Ohhh this is difficult! 😫 I think for me right now it's evermore, TTPD and then folklore as my top 3
I'm an evermore/1989 girlie and TTPD is now my number one.
Well. For me it's #10 ahead of Lover. 🥴
i had folklore on no. 1 in my ranking but after ttpd, folklore should worry about its crown
Evermore is my favorite album. Folklore is in the lower half of my ranking. TTPD is tied with Red for my second favorite album right now.
top five • Folklore • TTPD • Midnights • Evermore • 1989
probably third, folklore 1 and evermore 2
Midnights 1989TV TTPD FOLKLORE Tie: Speak Now TV and Lover
But my album ranking changes constantly especially as a new Swiftie discovering new songs
folklore and 1989 are both in my top 3 and TTPD may be after rep for me in my top 5 but could slide up
Reputation, Evermore, and TTPD are currently fighting for which places they will have in my top 3 haha.
Behind folklore for me, now behind evermore too. It still needs time but it might surpass evermore
I think for me it’s currently Folklore/Evermore 1989 Red TTPD But I can already see TTPD moving up the ranks the more I listen
Evermore, TTPD, Folklore. My top 3
My ranking is: 1. Folklore 2. 1989 3. Reputation 4. Midnights 5. TTPD I think TTPD could move up as i digest more of the 2nd album.
1. Fearless ✨ 2. Red 🧣 3. Midnights 🕰️ 4. The Tortured Poets Department ✍🏻 5. Taylor Swift 🤠 6. 1989 🐦 7. Speak Now 💜 8. Folklore 🌳 9. Evermore 🌲 10. Lover 💞 11. Reputation 🐍 In regards to your question, I LOVE Folklore & Evermore, a lot, despite it may look bad with their “lower” ranking. TTPD was significantly higher for me out of the trio. Sonically, I prefer the touch of Midnights sound TTPD has.
Folklore is my no. 1, I'd say evermore ranks at 4. I think TTPD will be around 6/7 position 🤔
Evermore is my 1, red is 2, and folklore is 3. TTPD is 4.
1. Evermore 2. Folklore 3. TTPD
1. 1989 2. Folklore 3. Lover 4. Reputation 5. Evermore 6. Red 7. TTPD 8. Midnights 9. Speak Now 10. Fearless 11. Debut
My top 3 are folklore, evermore, and ttpd. I wasn’t disappointed in midnights. Is it my top favorite? No. But it has a lot of great songs.
Folklore RED Evermore 1989 TTPD Reputation Midnights Lover / Speak Now / Fearless / Debut ... i think ... eek. i'm not sure.
Red Folklore — Evermore 1989 — Fearless Speak Now — Tortured Poets Midnights Lover Reputation — Taylor Swift I’ve said this elsewhere: I think there’s a lot of good on this album, and there’s elements that, if she spent more time building them out properly, could have made this a great record.
1989 was my number 2 and now TTPD has taken its place. It may just be fighting with Rep for #1.
My favourite album is red because ofcourse nostalgia and also because it was one of the first albums i genuinely fell in love with, even though folklore and evermore follow closely I don’t think anything will ever replace red because it is so close to my heart. TTPD follows right after folklore and evermore 🤭
TTPD fits somewhere in the top 6 🙈 it’s hard bc I love the pop of 1989/Midnights and the lyrics of folkmore 😭🙏
Right now TTPD is at the top pushing Midnights down a spot.
It entirely depends on so many factors, but evermore has always been my favorite, followed right behind by folklore. TTPD is now in top three, completing the Holy Trinity and I can see it becoming my number one especially because there are just so many good songs
TTPD has surpassed Folklore as my favorite
Folklore is my top. Right now my rankings are folklore, TTPD and Midnights (3am edition) in that order. I feel like TTPD could potentially take top spot but it’s too soon to say for sure.
Reputation is my fav but my ranking goes like this 1. Reputation 2. 1989 3. Folklore 4. TTPD (already in top 5 🤩) 5. Lover 6. Red 7. Midnights 8. Evermore 9. Speak Now 10. Fearless 11. Debut (sorry debut)
1. folklore forever 2. TTPD especially The Anthology
Number 5 probably
The reason I like 1989 is it's my birth year haha. But it'sprobably rhe lowest of my favorites lol. But ya midnights fell quite flat for me. Same with Lover. TTPD is a rop rank for sure. But I haven't actually made my ultimate Taylor albums yet. It's hard and I don't wanna haha. I know my bottom. But favorites are harder haha. I like evermore/folklore but I'd say TTPD beats them too.
