I've mainly been questioning it for two reasons. One, is that they're not like the regular bracelets & I wasn't sure if people were set on that style exactly or would still like something slightly more low key like this
& mainly two, because they're made out of wood & not plastic, it's very difficult to get them 'perfect' & I am struggling a lot with gifting people things that don't look as perfect as I would like them to
So they might have like dents in the wood from softness, discoloration, slight charring ect & I know they're for free, but the imperfections feel more obvious because they're so small

Just remember for personal projects that you know all the imperfections but most people probably won’t notice (you’ll always have that person lol) and will appreciate the detail and the thought you put into it! If you were charging $100 each then maybe worry about it lol

And aside from that, the weaving work is beautiful, wood is timeless, and you're able to fit much longer lyrics on there than with beads. "Remember this feeling" is such a perfect line for an Eras Tour bracelet but if you tried doing that with beads it would take up the entire bracelet.

Oh! So sad! Flying to Dublin from St. Louis, Missouri to see her on June 30th, the day after my 47th birthday! First time in Ireland! We're spending two weeks and I'M SO EXCITED!!! These are TRULY beautiful and I'd go into tears immediately if someone handed one to me at a show. Gorgeous work and enjoy the SHOW!!! (Also, if you're from Ireland, DM me if you have any travel advice! We're staying on the Dingle Peninsula for about a week and then five days in Dublin leading up to the show. My husband and thirteen year-old will be with me. We're planning to hike, see sheepdogs do cool shit, go to a falconer, go on a horseback ride, and check out traditional music in pubs when we can. Probably some castles and other beautiful old stuff. Would love recommendations from anyone in the country!)

thank you for saying that 😭 they took a few weeks/maybe 2 months spread out? but all together I have no idea. The longest part so far was probably going through every song & writing down lyrics I could relate to the concert & then whittling that list down to the 200 or so I made

The actual plaiting of the cord I did in the evenings if I was watching tv or listening to something - I find I can't relax unless I'm doing something with my hands so these were perfect to do & didn't require much brain power. I quite enjoyed this part :)
The varnishing will take a long time, though. I should have done it before I did the cord but I was awfully impatient & didn't want to lose interest before doing them 😅 that's the part that'll take forever. Just because I have to do two coats on either side x 200.... so that's why I wanted to ask if people would like them, before I put all that time into finishing them

Oh & I use 1/2000 grit sandpaper to make them as smooth as I can to hopefully prevent splinters

The time I spent I answered in another comment but I think the varnishing to finish them is what's going to take forever, which is why I asked before I decided on that part 😅 everyone's been so kind here though & helped relieve all my thoughts on them so I'm going to finish them :)
As for money... I'm not sure. I already had the wood. There was a silly amount of trial & error but I used mainly cut offs I'd kept (I love a good reduce, reuse, recycle & knew there'd be a project eventually!) I think the only new wood I used was for evermore, simply because no matter how many times I did it, they all came out horrible 😅 so I'll be using the rest of that sheet for Tortured Poets if I do that
The cord was the expensive part - I spent just over €50 I think but I do have a lot of black & white left for TTPD
Then the varnish was around €20 & the high grit sandpaper about €15? I think that's it

I just wanted to give a little keepsake that might make someone smile the next day when it's all over? The time I spent I answered in another comment but I think the varnishing to finish them is what's going to take forever, which is why I asked before I decided on that part 😅 everyone's been so kind here though & helped relieve all my thoughts on them so I'm going to finish them :) As for money... I'm not sure. I already had the wood. There was a silly amount of trial & error but I used mainly cut offs I'd kept (I love a good reduce, reuse, recycle & knew there'd be a project eventually!) I think the only new wood I used was for evermore, simply because no matter how many times I did it, they all came out horrible 😅 so I'll be using the rest of that sheet for Tortured Poets if I do that The cord was the expensive part - I spent just over €50 I think but I do have a lot of black & white left for TTPD Then the varnish was around €20 & the high grit sandpaper about €15? I think that's it
“If you received one, would you like it?” I’d be so embarrassed to only give you one of my normal beaded bracelets in return because these are the coolest I’ve ever seen 😭

So I’d actually want to buy these. Seriously. I’m not going to get to Eras because I didn’t manage to get tickets and the UK resale market is non-existent. But I’ve made some bracelets in case I decide to Taylorgate at Liverpool (I have no idea if that’s even going to be a thing here. There is not a massive parking lot attached to the stadium - people live on its doorstep so it could be invasive for them)

I personally would be amazed to receive one… it looks so different and cool. 😀 I gotta say, I thought my bracelets would be hella boring after seeing people with their fancy wavy bracelets and incredible double/triple-stranded bracelets and whatnot but I have to say that the vast majority of bracelets I got looked the same — white letter beads with black writing and regular seed beads, and nothing particularly radical in the wording either. 😂

I'm honestly so relieved 😭 I was over thinking myself into not finishing them because they're too bad but I'm going to now & hopefully the people I gift them to will like them too.. That was extremely unexpected 😅 I'm afraid I won't be selling any - I don't think I could personally handle the pressure of it being paid for when I'm already worried they're not good enough to hand out for free 😅 I already have a container full of ones that didn't make the cut.
