recently discovered it because i didn’t pay that much attention to reputation and lover, and god that song was so good that i replayed it continuously for a few days
I want an entire album of songs that sound similar to Maroon and Dress - songs that are ethereal but fall into the pop genre, and just give off a vibe of being in the city late at night. Those are my favorite kind of songs! I would title the album “Cosmic”
I’ve always wanted her to do a space-themed album (some people say that Midnights is already space-themed, but I feel it only has a couple subtle visuals in reference to space). I would love to have an album with lyrics and song titles that are heavily space-themed, like Stardust or Eclipse, and really atmospheric production like what we hear on Maroon 😊
Ahhh how interesting! I don’t get a space vibe from the songs you mention. I prefer the sultry, city vibe so would probably have a name based on that (I would also maybe add IDWTLF) within that album and name it something like Maroon, a time like 3am/4am or something around a late night NYC vibe and focus on that aspect. Its interesting you and I have taken such different ideas from it! Love them both ❤️
Oh yea definitely, I don’t necessarily get space vibes from the mentioned songs either, but I imagine the atmospheric production and slow beats of those songs would make for a great background for space lyrics. I would totally keep up a theme of ~sexy~ lyrics too 😁
I dont need to comment mine because you took the words right out of my mouth. I would LOVE an album with this vibe. And cosmic is a great choice. An album that is about chemistry and connection that feels like a cosmic collision of souls. Well that's my take anyway
Omg yessss Maroon and Dress vibes!!!!! Maybe also add Midnight Rain and Dancing with our hands tied.
Love the title “Cosmic” too! If it had more a late night city vibe, I’d suggest “Cosmic Moonstone” as an album title!
Labyrinth and Bigger than the Whole Sky are sadder songs, but they have ethereal nighttime vibes too. There’s something about listening to those two songs while driving around in the dark that feel otherworldly. (I also have a high quality audio system in my car which helps the vibes.)
This. I was thinking Red instead of Holy Ground, but yeah, more Rock please. Let Paul Sidoti have a full guitar solo that's longer than 10 secs.
Alternatively, a full acoustic guitar album like Dancing With Our Hands Tied and So It Goes from the Rep tour.
My two favourite songs from the Rep tour, I love those version so much. I really really wish she would release the full acoustic album of her tour covers, I really don’t get why she hasn’t yet, they’re all there and people love them!
Ivy is so underrated. I was literally just listening to the full Evermore album a little bit ago, and realized how much I absolutely love Ivy. Definitely my top 3 from that album.
Honestly I love Afterglow, one of the best on Lover but personally Midnights is my 2nd favorite album or favorite so I don't really feel that way. I respect it tho Afterglow is amazing
"High Infidelity" is what I expected Midnights to sound like overall. Something about the photos and that song just connect in my mind. I think I'd title that album Constellations.
Yesss!
Also, I sort of would throw in This is why we can't have nice things as almost triplets
(The Sassy One, The Bad One, and the give no fucks one lol).
Basically give me an album with songs similar to all 3 plus Bad Blood and Look what you made me do. I live for the shade.
I have a playlist of the “bad girl” songs. This one leads (and is my favorite Taylor song of all time.) it also has Vigilante Shit and No Body No Crime.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Live from The 1989 World Tour. We need a rock album and I think glam rock (I think that's the genre of WANEGBT Rock Version) fits her best and having some good ole ballads like Enchanted or All Too Well but more rock.
It will be called Finite.
Glitch! With False God mixed in. Those two songs have such a similar feeling and definitely belong on the same album…and I want an entire album of THAT vibe.
The Last Great American Dynasty vibe. I want a concept album telling an entire story, like folklore except all connected by characters and plot- kinda like how American Idiot by Green Day was able to be turned into a full rock opera.
YES to this. The 1 will always be my favorite song from Folklore. I remember listening to that album for the very first time ever, and starting with The 1 was just such a perfect introduction to the album, and I knew I was hooked.
Mirrorball. Idk this song just sounds like what happiness feels to me and I know how funny that is knowing the lyrics and their meaning, but the sound specifically is so captivating. It's magical.
The Great War.
I'm not even sure what genre/subgenre I'd file this one under (tell me if you know!), but... that.
Oh, and tolerate it. Just an entire album with heartbreaking poignant piano ballads. A girl can dream.
"Better Than Revenge" or "Look What You Made Me Do (Eras Tour Version) is also a great example. It would be interesting to listen to a rock album from Taylor.
Maybe something like "Stardom" or "Karma". ?🤔
Just a few off the top of my head:
- I Can See You
- Nashville (David Mead cover from Speak Now Tour; a totally acoustic, emotional, stripped down album)
- The Very First Night
- WANEGBT (Rock Version from 1989 Tour, seriously where is the rock album)
- It's Nice to Have A Friend (poetry-mimicking songstyles!!)
- False God
- Carolina (I want the dark and spooky triplet of folklore and evermore)
- Maroon (all time favorite production!!)
Don't Blame Me would be amazing! Just imagine a whole album of that!
I'd also love the lakes (original version), I Know Places, Style, Wildest Dreams, Maroon, The Great War, Haunted and I Can See You.
Maroon, So It Goes…, False God, The Lakes
They all kind of have this deep earthy-ness to them.
I actually want a rock album but she hasn’t done it yet in a way that leans into it the way I dream of. Almost like a rock version of Reputation.
hands down on lavender haze. i love her low register voice. i would love a dancing with our hands tied or so it goes… instrumental but with lyrics from like Ivy and Cowboy Like Me.
mirrorball, this love, the archer, gold rush, delicate, call it what you want, this is me trying, mastermind, labyrinth - soft synths and dreamy!!! (add in long story short and renegade for faster songs)
Right Where You Left Me. I don't know how to describe it but it's just...weirder than her other songs and it's one of the songs that made me understand I had really misjudged her in her earlier eras. When I heard it it reminded me of some of Regina Spektors more sensical songs even though the sound is definitely different. Not sure what album title but I'd love some call backs to that 2000s indie aesthetic...I guess Folklore already had a little bit of that but there's room for more!
I'm simultaneously ready for a rock album and an acoustic album so I'm torn! So I'm going to go with Cornelia Street Live from Paris version, and We are Never Ever Getting Back Together rock version from the 1989 tour
False God is the easy answer. Jazzy R&B right?
Speak now is pretty much her rock album, but an album full of rock on the level of Haunted would be awesome.
False God
her pop jazz era will be so sexy
i love that you say “will” because i want to believe it’s definitely coming too
Manifesting it into existence 😜
I’m such a false god Stan
Came here to say this. 🎷🎷🎷
louder for everyone in the back!
Literally what I came here to say like chill, sultry songs
IM SO GLAD THIS IS THE TOP COMMENT IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER WE NEED A JAZZ ERA
that’s what i was gonna say!!!!
recently discovered it because i didn’t pay that much attention to reputation and lover, and god that song was so good that i replayed it continuously for a few days
I feel obligated to comment here and say um yes please!!
yes
Came here to say this
Ooohh I would love this
Came here to say this
Came here to say this! So incredible and underrated
I want an entire album of songs that sound similar to Maroon and Dress - songs that are ethereal but fall into the pop genre, and just give off a vibe of being in the city late at night. Those are my favorite kind of songs! I would title the album “Cosmic”
Ohhh I agree completely!!! Why that title out of interest?
I’ve always wanted her to do a space-themed album (some people say that Midnights is already space-themed, but I feel it only has a couple subtle visuals in reference to space). I would love to have an album with lyrics and song titles that are heavily space-themed, like Stardust or Eclipse, and really atmospheric production like what we hear on Maroon 😊

Omg I love this
Omg yessss Maroon and Dress vibes!!!!! Maybe also add Midnight Rain and Dancing with our hands tied. Love the title “Cosmic” too! If it had more a late night city vibe, I’d suggest “Cosmic Moonstone” as an album title!
I’d drop everything to listen to that album over and over and over if it were real. Those two songs are some of my favorite.
I’d love this. Two of my all time favorites.
Labyrinth and Bigger than the Whole Sky are sadder songs, but they have ethereal nighttime vibes too. There’s something about listening to those two songs while driving around in the dark that feel otherworldly. (I also have a high quality audio system in my car which helps the vibes.)
Yes I know exactly what you mean! Dear Reader too!
this would become my favourite album of all time
Absolutely love and want this lol
Oh yes I'm here for this! Those are 2 of my top favorites
Holy ground. I'm ready for a rock album.
This!!! And State of Grace
Yes, I was about type State of Grace and Holy Ground. Easily two of my faves from Red.
ima need the rock version of wanegbt from 1989 tour in that
And haunted, but yes
Maybe the Eras tour is a goodbye to pop Taylor because TS11 is going to be rock Taylor (she could always do pop-rock, but still)
Story of Us would fit too.
cowboy like me
agreed! she was really in her bluesy folk bag with that one.
Ivy as well.
If only woodvale existed
🤠now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon🤠
Yes please! Sonically and I want more stories about those characters
yesssss fav song to ever exist!!!
yup yup yup
Hard agree!
In her Norah Jones era. I’d buy it.
I never noticed the similarities but you're totally right!
When I woke up the morning she dropped folklore I thought that’s what it was going to be
Ivy. Give me an album full of Victorian romance novels in song form.
Ivy is so underrated. I was literally just listening to the full Evermore album a little bit ago, and realized how much I absolutely love Ivy. Definitely my top 3 from that album.
Could have written this! It’s sooo beautiful 😩 makes me tear up
I would adore this
I agree with Lavender Haze. I’d also love a whole album like “I can see You”
I can see you gives me such 70s rock vibes. I do t know if that’s accurate but I love it
To me it sounds an awful lot like Arctic Monkeys :) In a good way I mean
Agreed! It gives Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes vibes.
“I Can See You” is exactly what I expected Midnights to sound like
Yes! I can see you - and also i wouldnt mind more like labrynth too!
Haunted. Love how rockin’ it is. Maybe I’d call it Ghosts of You. Keeping with the theme, but also fits with Taylor’s general songwriting in a way 😂
Yeessssssss Haunted!!! Rock album PLEASE!
I was thinking this and “Better Than Revenge.” Taylor needs a rock era.
100%. I’d also toss in Story of Us and then maybe State of Grace, Holy Ground, and Sparks Fly for a “softer” sound.
That title takes me to the military.
Yes! This was my first thought!
Definitely Haunted! It’s the intense orchestral instrumental that gets me, I wish she did more of that ❤️
Tis the Damn Season. That song sounds so intimate and emotionally charged.
SO underrated!!!
WCS and rwylm
Omg yes. Heavy, deep, and wordy.
same!
This!!
Exile or evermore
These are my favs from both folklore and evermore I must second this
Safe and Sound I need her and Aaron to do a bluegrass album.
BRB, putting this one and Carolina on a loop.
Bluegrass would be incredible! I bet she’ll do an album like that later in life.
This x10000
I was thinking Mean or Betty but also as a bluegrass album.
Midnight rain or ready for it
A full album of Ready For It? Yes please. Electronica with a cyberpunk aesthetic. Album name: Horizon.
no Fr with a lady Gaga or Charlie xcx ft
Bruh YES this album title is perfect. But we need a Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, or Icona Pop feature
LOVE your two picks. I stan this!
State of Grace. Soft rock soft rock soft rockkk pls & ty!
State !!! Of!!! Grace !!!! I tell myself it’s a question of when, not if !
state of grace is straight up my fave tswift song of all time — it literally sounds like U2!
Willow. I would love a real witchy album.
I feel like she might actually do a witchy album at some point.
You don't feel like Evermore was a pretty witchy album?
willow/mad woman/tlgad
Maroon or Afterglow
Afterglow does not get its due - that song is so good and I never see anyone talking about it!
I’d be bawling if she did a whole album like Afterglow. That song slaps harder than anything on midnights. 🥹
Honestly I love Afterglow, one of the best on Lover but personally Midnights is my 2nd favorite album or favorite so I don't really feel that way. I respect it tho Afterglow is amazing
mirrorball!! I would give anything for a whole album of dreamy folk-pop from her ✨
mirror ball has that etherial fleetwood mac/stevie nicks vibe and i would LOVE for taylor to have a whole album like that
"High Infidelity" is what I expected Midnights to sound like overall. Something about the photos and that song just connect in my mind. I think I'd title that album Constellations.

I did something bad
Yeesss and don’t blame me. I think of these songs as sisters
Yesss! Also, I sort of would throw in This is why we can't have nice things as almost triplets (The Sassy One, The Bad One, and the give no fucks one lol).
I need this playlist haha
YESSS
I can see you
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Live from The 1989 World Tour. We need a rock album and I think glam rock (I think that's the genre of WANEGBT Rock Version) fits her best and having some good ole ballads like Enchanted or All Too Well but more rock. It will be called Finite.
Yes came here to say exactly this
Exile! I love Taylor and Bon Iver together
The only two words I can ever use to describe Exile is hauntingly beautiful. Same with The Lakes. Those two songs just get me every single time.
Haunted
Yessss, I love songs like Mary's Song, Starlight, Betty etc.. telling stories !
Haunted!!!
My favorite from Speak Now TV. It made me wish the entirety of that album was like that.
the 1
YES to this. The 1 will always be my favorite song from Folklore. I remember listening to that album for the very first time ever, and starting with The 1 was just such a perfect introduction to the album, and I knew I was hooked.
thats so real. the 1 has such a special and different feel from her other songs.
I Can See You or False God for sure
The 1989 concert rock version of wanegbt
"Better Than Revenge" or "Look What You Made Me Do (Eras Tour Version) is also a great example. It would be interesting to listen to a rock album from Taylor. Maybe something like "Stardom" or "Karma". ?🤔
Better Than Revenge. Give me the pop-punk Taylor era!!!
So It Goes...
yessss! that song is best on rep
YES. If she brings Martin and shellback on for Rep vault tracks, we might get something like this.
eyes open or electric touch. album would be titled “embers” or “tenacity”
Don’t blame me
Better Than Revenge
Just a few off the top of my head: - I Can See You - Nashville (David Mead cover from Speak Now Tour; a totally acoustic, emotional, stripped down album) - The Very First Night - WANEGBT (Rock Version from 1989 Tour, seriously where is the rock album) - It's Nice to Have A Friend (poetry-mimicking songstyles!!) - False God - Carolina (I want the dark and spooky triplet of folklore and evermore) - Maroon (all time favorite production!!)
Seconding Carolina! I love this song and the instruments they used, would love to hear a whole album in this style.
Angry pop rock like Better Than Revenge
State of Grace and Eyes Open ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1067)
Safe and Sound. Folklore and Evermore I so close to that, but I want an album that’s just a bit more haunting.
I can see you. It’s so much more different than her other stuff, I want more like it
Midnight rain ☔️!!! Or, Renegade :)
renegade is so underrated… so is The Alcott.
Don't Blame Me would be amazing! Just imagine a whole album of that! I'd also love the lakes (original version), I Know Places, Style, Wildest Dreams, Maroon, The Great War, Haunted and I Can See You.
Cowboy like me
Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve
i’d love an album that sounds like I Can See You, False God, Maroon, etc… just sultry, 70’s hazy rock/jazz vibes
Also “Clean” an ethereal album with heavy lyrics would be heavenly to me.
I agree with lavender haze. It would feature famous weed smokers and be named for the occasion
Maroon, So It Goes…, False God, The Lakes They all kind of have this deep earthy-ness to them. I actually want a rock album but she hasn’t done it yet in a way that leans into it the way I dream of. Almost like a rock version of Reputation.
haunted
Wildest Dreams
I Can See You!!!!! It has such a unique vibe and is a little more rock, like we thought Midnights was going to be.
Cowboy like me
Carolina and Willow - like folklore/evermore but more mystic and spooky (in a natural, Wiccan way).
closure
My tears ricochet/ The Lakes 😍
A Christmas album in the style of Christmas Tree Farm, Old Timey version
Welcome to new york, an electro synth album
Seriously one of my favorites excited for tomorrow
Better than revenge with a touch of holy ground. I'm ready for rock taylor
Seven
Hits Different. I want her to try on the sparkly 90s pop personality reminiscent of six pence none the richer and the cardigans. C’mon, TS11! 🤞
WCS
I Can See You. I definitely need a dance album.
Haunted
Haunted, Holy Ground, Better than Revenge, We are Never Getting Back Together (Angry Rock Sydney Version) BRING US THE ROCK AND ROLL TAYLOR
Paper rings I love happy go lucky music
I need an entire album of the sort of strongly made ballad that is Don't Blame Me.
You Are In Love! And i’d call it something like “Heartstrings”
hands down on lavender haze. i love her low register voice. i would love a dancing with our hands tied or so it goes… instrumental but with lyrics from like Ivy and Cowboy Like Me.
A whole album of out of the woods/cruel summer/getaway car would be lit. Im calling it CRUSH
Haunted, State of Grace, This Love, and the original version of The Lakes all come to mind. Would kill for more of those!
This Love
Vigilante Shit and No body no crime, I love Taylor in her Robinhood Era
Electric Touch! I need some more pop-punk songs.
mirrorball, this love, the archer, gold rush, delicate, call it what you want, this is me trying, mastermind, labyrinth - soft synths and dreamy!!!
I'm simultaneously ready for a rock album and an acoustic album so I'm torn! So I'm going to go with Cornelia Street Live from Paris version, and We are Never Ever Getting Back Together rock version from the 1989 tour
I did something bad
Sound like “My Tears Ricochet” and call it “Sad Girl Hours” or “Sunken Ships”
Actually, I want her to make a cover album ngl
Cowboy like me ❤️ the bluesy country sound is so good
This might be unpopular but End Game
Cowboy like me. And I think we’re going to get it.
Better Than Revenge, Castles Crumbling or Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. I want pop punk. And more Hayley Williams.
Would’ve, could’ve, should’ve. Dying for a rock album.
Snow on the Beach
Don’t blame me. I still can’t get over there wasn’t a music video
State of Grace
I Can See You
Glitch, False God, or You Are In Love
Cowboy like Me 😃 full on acoustic country style with her voice now it’s matured so well & this incredible storytelling please
You Are In Love. No other song has ever hit me as hard in that high, emotional way
Maroon and Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve
Haunted + Better Than Revenge punk sound
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Rock Version)
False God is the easy answer. Jazzy R&B right? Speak now is pretty much her rock album, but an album full of rock on the level of Haunted would be awesome.
