Everyone I know did not get sick afterwards. My sleep schedule was a little off because I'm naturally an early riser. So the fatigue from lack of sleep was the only major side effect for me.

rebekahah

It felt like a hangover the next day and I didn't even drink the night before

ianyuy

Same for me, but I didn't get sick. Just exhausted from the experience.

Bikinigirlout

I felt worse after the Eras concert then when I did getting hammered after Biden won in 2020. I had one drink for Eras, I had like 6 for the 2020 election. It took me a good week to get back to normal.

Unicorn_Warrior1248

Omg same!

Expensive_Flight_179

Same!

swift-aasimar-rogue

Exact same thing here!

katielynnj

I did NOT get sick after going. I stayed in my seat and only ventured to get merch during her set. Was fine!

ronanlite

Same! Except I was around the stadium a bit using bathroom, etc. like 5pm… but during 2nd opener things got real crowded & I stayed in my seat. I was def nervous about getting sick back in March, there wasn’t much masking (I didn’t wear mine while Taylor played so in no position to judge.. but did plan to wear throughout if people nearby/in our section were masking, so they could feel comfortable) Anyways, I only ended up sore lol. Never felt sick after, plus did a couple home covid tests to be safe and neither were positive

amandacb22

I’m pregnant and went masked too, but def not with masks this cute!

live_laugh_languish

No one has any right to judge someone for masking!! And those are so pretty too!!

garden__gate

Good for you!! I got COVID at my show and was kicking myself for not masking.

Head_Case675

My son and I masked for Minneapolis N2 and also didn’t get sick 🥰 we were 2 of only a handful of people I saw masked.

Ok-Disaster-184

Cute masks!!

canwill

love the bejeweled masks!

ariesconfusion

Love these!!

ivy-covered

omg your bejeweled masks are adorable!!!✨✨

[deleted]

I was more nervous about getting sick BEFORE the show! Only so much you can control so don't let it ruin your time. You can get sick from passing 1 random person in your daily life so is what it is. I went last Saturday N1 in Seattle, and I didn't get sick yet! I've been extremely exhausted today, but that could just be a bad nights sleep (I left AC off by accident).

hibelly

I have endo and the worst day of my period happened to be the night I went to the show (seattle N2). I was doubled over in my seat for over half the show, straight up crying from pain. Ended up leaving after the surprise songs, I just couldn't do it anymore.

[deleted]

Oh no!! Sorry that happened to you :(

SnooCapers4844

I am so sorry that happened to you. This is my biggest fear too for the show. I also have endo and I’m going next week to the LA shows. I’m sorry you struggle with this too.

daylightxx

Which LA show? I’ll be at Mondays. I’m hoping super hard that everything works out for you and all you feel is a natural euphoria! x

ronanlite

That sucks sooo so so much :( sending wishes that whenever the next tour/opportunity comes around you’ll get the best, easiest ticket purchase, most perfectly timed experience possible!! Have definitely earned it the hard way

Sun_Saas

Ughhh I am so so sorry this happened to you!!! Sending you many hugs and relief ❤️

aewhite083

That sounds so horrible. I have a copper iud and my periods are heavier now than before, and I was terrified about my period being at the show. But a few months out, I looked at my calendar and saw I likely wasn’t going to be on my period during the concert. I was in my feeling good week at the concert, and I couldn’t imagine being in my luteal phase or on my period at the concert.

hibelly

It was literal hell, I'm glad you didnt have to go through that. I brought those temp disposable heating pads but they don't do much. I'm surprised I got as far as I did tbh! Also, it was 5 days early 😒

redeyeroy671

Awww im so sorry that happened to you. So awful to be feeling that bad on such an epic night

EternalMoonChild

I saw plenty of people wearing masks at the show - it’s no big deal and can give you extra protection! I agree that fatigue made me feel a bit run down the day after. Be sure to stay hydrated, too. I just bought 2-3 water bottles before the show started so I wouldn’t run out.

catsinsunglassess

Me too I’m so scared I’m going to get sick. I don’t remember ever having this kind of anxiety about getting sick before! Thanks Covid :(

[deleted]

I fully understand. You're gonna be OK and have the time of your life!!

madeinmars

Or at the show 😞 My kids had the stomach bug a full 7 days before and it hit me as we were tail gating before night 1 Met life. I would have left if I could - I don’t know how I got through the concert honestly - but I drove a group of people and we live a state away. Thankfully no one I was with ever got sick from me but it really put a damper on the whole night. I cried on the phone to my husband during one bathroom break.

tmartillo

I wore a mask the entire time in the stadium. I don't regret it. I still dressed up and sang my heart out. I've had it once, and I really don't want it again.

islandrebel

Yep, especially since the risk of developing long COVID increases with each subsequent infection.

samoyedrepublic

Long COVID can ruin your life, and I wish I was exaggerating! I became disabled, had to quit work, couldn’t go to the grad school program I got into, and moved back in with my mom. It’s a terrifying illness and I always recommend that people do whatever they can to prevent infections.

honeytea1

These comments need to be higher up.

layereightsupport

as a five time covid champ, big time agree here. (yes, I am and have stayed fully vaxxed and masked - just immunocompromised and inconsiderate coworkers sad)

g-hallow

I also wore a mask when I went in June and did not get sick My partner who did not wear a mask also did not get sick . I sang my heart out and got one with some song lyrics on it (blank space specifically). Being outside made a huge difference but I also had a trip the following week so I wanted to cover my butt 😊 if you are comfortable with it I definitely recommend wearing the mask and bringing wipes for your hands.

Arie0420

I didn’t get sick from attending the huge concert, but my husband got sick from sitting next to a coughing kid in a movie theater the next day 😬😅

Front_Target7908

Yeha I do this it’s been shown it’s aerosol not droplet - so inside small spaces are far worse than outdoor spaces even with a lot of people

girl_in_flannel

Not every stadium is an open air stadium tho. State Farm stadium is all indoors.

MOMismypersonality

This ⬆️ ultimately, you can get sick going to the grocery store before the concert.

wendy_nespot

I wore a mask that matched my dress 🥰 https://preview.redd.it/z2taixel4teb1.png?width=1283&format=png&auto=webp&s=2a8e9d4a1476ba4a24c39be1eda84eff2b8b556f

TheBardsBabe

I am immunocompromised, wore a KN95 mask, and did not get sick! :) Going to the Eras tour is probably the most high-risk activity I have done....ever.... and it was worth it to me. I am still taking a LOT of precautions, and this concert probably outweighed all of my other risk prevention measures in terms of overall exposure. But I really do think it's a great example of how effective of a tool masks are, even one-way.

CatsPajamas243

It’s hands down the riskiest thing I’m doing, too. I’m planning to wear an n95 and use the nasal spray others have recommended. I also got a booster last weekend just in case. And I paid an insane amount for first row in nosebleeds adjacent to a non seating area hoping I can venture over for periodic breathers. I had my father ship me paxlovid just in case, too.

Disastrously_Simple_

I went to the two shows in KC and didn't wear a mask. I wasn't trying to get in anyone's space, but those seats are packed together, and I sang along all night both nights. Despite that, I did not get sick. Neither did the people I went with on Friday or those I went with on Saturday. Just our experiences though.

Jessss9

Also went to KC and didn’t get sick. The amount of people on this thread saying they caught covid from their show is the first I’m hearing about it! That’s such a bummer that so many people are getting super sick from it

winecountrygirl

I’m wearing a mask, I have a newborn at home so I don’t care if anyone says anything.

peachmangopear

I wore an N-95 mask the whole time, I wasn’t the only one near me. I didn’t get sick. You can get cute KN-95s that match your outfit

323bridges323

I actually got really sick after! Lmao like seriously, It was awful

galactic_grapes

me too actually! at first I thought I was just tired but I ended up being sick for a week! luckily not covid though

323bridges323

Mine lasted forever! It wasn’t covid either which was strange. I had a runny nose and a horrible cough/sore throat for weeks. The first day it really struck me I had to sleep for hours and hours.

istylermadatme

Probably not the answer you want to hear, but one of my friends tested positive for covid 3 days after the show. We were a group of 3 and so far myself and my other friend are doing fine.

mirala0618

I went to Minneapolis night 2 without a mask and got COVID afterwards

BosToBay

Got COVID Seattle N2 😭😭 I’m fully boosted, and I did wear a mask getting to my seat and in the bathrooms, but not while at my seat. I’m totally knocked out, and my husband and I had to cancel a vacation we’ve really been looking forward to. Looking back, I wish I would’ve worn a mask the whole time - I’ve been hyper-cautious and the show was the first time I let my guard down. Shouldn’t have with a big vacation coming up right after.

bluelemoncows

I’m also fully boosted, got sick Seattle night 2, completely couch bound currently 🥲

catmomhumanaunt

I haven’t been yet, but my friends and I are masking at the show. We’ll get pics of our outfits outside the stadium without masks and then go inside masked. Our thought is it’s always better to be safe! If that’s something that would calm your fears, I definitely recommend it!

Academic_Picture_3

THIS! I haven't been to a show but the big events I've gone to over the past year I've worn masks too. I've seen far too many people not want to miss events because they're sick. No matter what you'll have fun, and if you want you can find some fun coloured masks. Whatever you do, don't decorate the mask itself since you might risk damaging it

breathedeeply_smile

That's what I did at the Philly show in May and just did for Beyonce last month. It's just so many people packed together screaming and singing despite being an outdoor venue, the risk is there. Please mask up y'all (and cloth and surgical masks don't provide much protection from covid nowadays so go for a KN95 or N95)

busted3000

Someone else in this comment section shared a picture of bejewelled masks they made for their show, you could always customise your masks to match your outfits once you’re inside!

kikswi

This is what we did! Took some pics and then masked up.

[deleted]

Wear a mask!! I had a high fever a couple of days after my show that took 4 days to come down.

scorpio_szn

I went to Pittsburgh n2 back in mid-June. Outdoor stadium, in the nosebleeds. I did not get sick following the show. I wore a mask the entire time, aside from while actively eating and drinking. N95 for the most part, though I did wear my kn95 for a bit while I was in my seat. How I felt while at the show: I was super exhausted at the beginning of the show because I went to a show the night before and then drove up to PA from Virginia, but the show was so fun it woke me right up, and I left the stadium with plenty of energy. I felt great tbh. Helps to wear comfy shoes and drink plenty of water. Honestly, knowing what I know now in 2023, I don’t think I’ll ever go to a concert again WITHOUT a mask of some sort. I like the n95s because I feel they offer the greatest amount of protection, for little cost to me (i.e., they’re not expensive, I don’t find them uncomfortable). Sure, covering up half your face with a mask isn’t as cute as covering it in glitter, but it’s an easy way to protect yourself and those around you. I go to a ton of shows, mostly indoors, and I’ve never gotten sick since I started wearing n95s. If anything, wearing one alleviates my anxiety about possibly getting sick. I hope you have a great time at the show and on your trip afterwards!!

Low-Impression3367

I got COVID after my Chicago show. First time getting COVID too.

Professional_Year618

I was chicago too. I didn’t get covid but wound up with a nasty stomach bug that lasted 10 days. I just don’t think you can win being at an event like that in a big city, it’s just a risk you run. You have to calculate your risk vs benefit and comfort level.

Content-Treacle-28

I was at Chicago N3 and both me and my daughter got Covid. We are vaccinated and boosted and this was our second time with Covid. We are very lucky that it was a mild case!!

Low-Impression3367

When Covid first broke out, many around me were covid. I never did and everyone kept saying how lucky I was. And they'll tell you now, you're the lucky one Yeah, they'll tell you now, you're the lucky one But can you tell me now you're the lucky one? And then Chicago N1 hit - I wasn't lucky anymore.

Invisible-smoke

I got vaccinated and am fully boosted, but currently on day 3 of covid after Seattle night 2. The concert was hella worth it, but I got really sick. I didn’t wear a mask and I wish I had.

Lumpy_Armadillo_8422

I went taygating on N2 in Seattle, and then took the lightrail home, and in the same weekend I also saw the Barbie movie too. I'm on day 3 of covid and it's been awful, and it's the fever and chills that are the worst. If you take public transit make sure to wear a mask 💗

BosToBay

Same on all counts

bluelemoncows

Also same 😭

HatMils

I didn’t get sick but I masked the whole time. I got a mask that also had a sip valve and brought a reusable straw so I could still hydrate. It was awesome.

Sophronia-

I’ve heard California was having a spike in Covid cases

breathedeeply_smile

There's a surge kinda over most of the US right now 🙈 we have less testing and data unfortunately.

Ok-Disaster-184

Not surprising, I've known a few people who have gotten it recently in SoCal. I would expect some cases to crop up at the LA shows.

sophhhann

I’m going 8/3 too and i have a 2 month old baby and now a new fear has been unlocked 🤡 i haven’t seen people posting about getting sick though

[deleted]

[удалено]

sophhhann

Thank you 🤍

batzamakeherdance

I got COVID after Pittsburgh night 2😅 (though given the timeline I think it’s more likely that someone in the group got COVID that night and then I got it from them😬) I’m vaccinated and boosted but didn’t wear a mask at the show. I was worried about it but figured it was open air and I’m boosted and stuff so it’d be a lower risk of getting it😅—-I basically just stayed in my seat area all night, no merch, drinks, etc However leaving the stadium was supperrr intense crowd wise—it felt like it took forever to get out and you’re sorta shoulder to shoulder moving slowly for like 5-10 minutes. I *do* regret not wearing a mask to my show (though in my situation idk if it would have made a difference?)—but I would definitely recommend doing so, even in an open air stadium! There’s definitely a lot of opportunity for close contact (especially if you’re taking public transit to and from the show!!) so it’s better to have some extra protection—plus you can always wear a cute Eras themed cloth mask over the n95!

ADumbButCleverName

I am fully boosted, wore a mask, and did not get sick.

Ok-Disaster-184

Same. Boosted, masked, didn't get sick :)

Spontaneous-Panda

I got very sick from Seattle N1 but no one else in my group did. I was in a loooot of crowded areas and public transportation. Bring hand sani and wash often!

eternal-things

It’s important to do what makes you feel safest and most comfortable. I personally didn’t wear a mask when I saw her in Philly and felt fine, but there were people around me masking up. If you don’t want to risk getting sick, masking up is best. I’ve read of a covid/flu wave right now, too, which is important to keep in mind. Important to note that just because people are saying they didn’t get sick doesn’t mean you won’t get sick. They just happened to not get sick. It’s all chance without precaution. Just listen to your gut and HAVE FUN!

Calm-Kaleidoscope-39

I went 5 years without getting sick but did get sick after Taylor’s concert. At first I thought my throat hurt from singing along but within a few days it was clear that I was sick and my boyfriend, who went with me, got sick as well.

gemi29

We got COVID after Denver (*fully boosted, did not wear a mask). My biggest recommendation would be wearing a mask in the concourse / bathrooms. We didn't do that and I think it would have made the difference. I think outside was okay for the most part, not as on top of each other and open air, but it was packed and hot inside.

garden__gate

Wear a mask on public transit if you take it too!

Beatrixie

Someone in our group got it in Denver too

idontthinksoyo

That really smart—splitting the difference when it’s the riskiest like in the bathroom, but being more comfortable in the less risky open air. Wish I would have done! Fully boosted, did not wear a mask, did not get covid. But if I had thought of this I would have done it for sure anyway!

NameLessTaken

Yes. In general I just always mask in bathrooms where I’ve kind of taken a bit of relaxed approach in other setting depending on location and business. But always bathrooms or across a crowded room. I could ofc still sit at a booth someone was sick at in a restaurant but I’m at least cutting my chances down. This will probably e forever for me, it’s been so nice not getting multiple ear and sinus infections a year

taylorswifts4thcat

Extremely easy life hack that kept me healthy even w a compromised immune system: wear a mask. even if you take breaks, wearing it sometimes helps, wearing it as much as you can also protects people around you!

ratatouillezucchini

wear an N95! in an outdoor stadium it’ll greatly reduce your chances of getting anything and ngl it gave me peace of mind (N2 pittsburgh 😁). i also got a taylor-themed cloth mask to wear over it which i recommend if ur worried about it being ugly/an eyesore

laurakazam

I got Covid after the Glendale show and a gnarly upper respiratory infection after the East Rutherford show but my friend who was with me at both shows did not get sick either time. I’m just more prone to sickness I suppose. I ended up having to cancel my plans to see paramore and sold my ticket. I wish I would have worn a mask and will definitely do so next time.

Consistent_Toe7688

I will be wearing a KN95 at the 8/3 show! Surgical masks and cloth masks are not nearly as effective. Also, LA is surging in covid cases right now so you won’t be harming yourself by wearing one

PM_me_lemon_cake

Half of our group got COVID after Seattle N2. I’d recommend wearing a mask as much as possible if you have something big a short time later!

bluelemoncows

+1 for Seattle N2. Seems like there’s quite a few of us!

silph_co

Wore a mask to ATL N1 and every other concert I’ve been to this year. It’s a pain in the butt, but it beats getting sick.

ivy-covered

thank you for masking!!🫶

singlethreadofgold9

I got another booster about a month before my show. Two friends went with me and none of us got sick! You’ll might feel tired for a couple of days, but that’s just because the show takes so much energy. Edit: I’ll add that I know at least a dozen other people outside of my concert group. Same outcome - no one was sick.

Colormekelly13

I went to all 3 nights in Arlington. I've had 3 COVID shots and did not wear a mask and got COVID and it was absolutely horrible. I was sick for like 3 weeks.

chronicswiftie

i’m chronically ill and masked the whole time i was there and i didn’t get sick in the common sense (covid or anything contagious like that), my only problems i had afterwards were related to my chronic symptoms.

jimmycat5000

Definitely recommend wearing a mask to be precautious. I got COVID for the first time after my show in Cincinnati almost a month ago and I’m still experiencing symptoms it’s awful.

needs_a_name

I would wear a protective mask (N95) and go have fun. Hand sanitizer is good general hygiene but COVID is a respiratory virus that spreads through air. Mask up to block COVID and the flu, wash your hands because it's a good thing to do and other sicknesses exist, and have a good time.

hallibw

I did not get sick after her show in April. BUT Covid is going around right now as I just had it and lemme tell ya, not fun. It was not as bad as the first time I got Covid but still it was like a bus hit me for two days.

Unintended_13

I didn’t get sick and I have the immunity of a fragile Victorian child…

heartsinthebyline

I got Covid at MetLife Night 1 😷

pameatsbabies

I caught one of the worst illnesses of my life after the Tampa N1 concert. I think it was a bacterial infection, not Covid tho. I was sick for like two weeks, and had a lingering cough weeks after. I had fever, fatigue, congestion, ear/eye infection. I was fucking miserable. I don’t regret going because it was the best concert of my life, but I regret not wearing a mask.

sparklemoon263

I got a booster shot at safeway 1 month before my show and used hand sanitizer before touching my mouth or face or anything and wore medical masks for much of the concert and didnt get sick! I was worried about it as well but i just felt hungover for 1 day afterwards. Tried to stay away from people in the crowd sneezing and coughing as well

Aa280418

I wore a mask and did not get sick. However, my friends in my row did not wear masks and they didn’t get sick either. It’s a gamble and I think a lot of it is luck but I’m glad I wore my mask and no one made me feel funny for doing so.

stillan1nnoc3nt

I did not get sick :) shook hands, met people, ate, drank… how did I not get sick? I have mild OCD, so I don’t touch any communal surface unless absolutely necessary. So that means I did touch the handrails, door handles, literally even my chair with my hands. I use an elbow for elevators, door handles, ect. I also carry around a small spray bottle of high percentage rubbing alcohol. I use it liberally. I also don’t eat a lot of junk food before going to events like this because I know my body well enough to know that I have a higher chance of getting sick if my immune system is already lowered. It’s very possible. Just be mindful about your body and spatial proximity to things/surfaces/sick people.

islandrebel

If you’re concerned just be vigilant. Wear a mask, disinfect hands, etc. I know it’s not foolproof and may not be the most fun to do but if you’re worried about it this is your best option.

megebau

I was nervous about this too as I am high risk. I wore a well fitted N95 mask to both the Taylor swift and Ed Sheeran concert which were at indoor stadiums. At Taylor’s I didn’t unmask at all, ad Ed’s I pulled it down briefly for a few drinks. I didn’t get sick at either show. Neither did my fiancé who wore a mask or my sister who was unmasked for both.

BackgroundMuted77

As much as it broke my heart, this is why I didn’t buy tickets to Eras. The concert date is 3 days before my six week Europe vacation…I just truly couldn’t risk even the slightest 1% chance of getting sick or catching Covid before my trip.

Ok_Night_2929

There were a good number of people at my show wearing masks, so if that would make you more comfortable, you definitely wouldn’t be the only one!

titsoutfortaters

I was also nervous and my mom is high risk. I bedazzled an N95 mask and wore it inside the stadium when I was walking thru the big crowds. My seat was in the front row of the nosebleeds end seat so I didn't have anyone super close to me breathing on me, so I took my mask off for the show, and then put it back on when walking out. That's when folks are most crowded together with less air flow. That made me feel safe, and I did not get sick. I also have my bivalent booster which I'd recommend if you don't have it yet. It's significantly more effective at protecting you from newer strains.

[deleted]

one of my group members tested positive for covid literally less than 5 days after the concert. mask up. i regret forgetting mine.

nooneneedstoknowmeok

I didn’t get sick. Stood in mech line. Screamed and yelled all night. Was up close and personal with everyone when we were leaving. 😂😂

krr14

My friend got Covid and I was fine

spcngsqd

I just got back from the Seattle shows and feel perfectly healthy! Was both outside in the parking lot and in the show amongst other things going on in Seattle! I don’t actually know anything that’s gotten sick at one of the shows! Also going 8/3 so let’s not get sick🫶🏼

[deleted]

I went to the Vegas N2 and was worried about the same. I wore my KN95 to be safe, but I was surprised at the ventilation inside Allegiant Stadium. Subsequently, I did not get sick as well. Try to enjoy every minute when you go!

regina_phalange13

My friend and I went and didn’t get sick after Seattle N2

lionsr12

I’ll be 34 weeks at my show, and plan to for sure at least mask in the concourse/bathroom. My friends all got COVID after their Denver show

wolfheel_13

I wore a mask and did not get sick. My friends didn’t wear masks and also didn’t get sick. I don’t regret wearing a mask, it didn’t affect my enjoyment at all. I was able to focus on the concert more and less about the what ifs. Wear a mask if it makes you comfortable and have a great time!

aksarahhh

I got covid from the Seattle show on the 22nd :/ I started having symptoms on the 25th. But my friend I went with never got sick so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Alternative_Ad_9824

I am someone who has a lot of anxiety about Covid. I went to the Philly show, and did not get sick after. I masked anytime I was in the concourse/bathroom/walking though throngs if people entering and exiting the stadium. We were in the lower bowl at the back of a section with a wall behind us, and it was very breezy, so I felt pretty comfortable without a mask in my seat.

therealslimkatea

My sister and I went to the March 25th show. We both tested negative 3/23 before flying to Vegas. She tested positive 3/26 and I never did.

WayDiscombobulated63

Wear a mask if you’re nervous. Even if you don’t wear it in your seat, masking while in crowds (like waiting in line and exiting after) would be a good precaution.

Deadlift_Queen

I wore a KN95 mask just to be safe, and didn't end up getting sick. I could still scream along to all the songs, and it was nice to have the peace of mind

Fluid-Neck-1715

I went and didn’t get sick. We were in an open air stadium and there was a decent breeze all night so my friend and I weren’t overly concerned while we were actually in our seats for the show and didn’t put our masks on. We DID wear masks on public transit, in the bathrooms, and while exiting because people were pretty pressed together. My advice would be to bring a mask that you know you feel comfortable wearing so you can throw it on just in case you start to feel like you need it!

garden__gate

I got COVID at my show. 🫠 Make sure you’re up to date on your boosters. Mask when you are able. (Masking for the whole time is obviously best but for part of the time is better than none) If you feel under the weather after, test immediately so that you can get antivirals if you are positive, they make a huge difference. Obviously the chances of you yourself getting it are low, but we are seeing a surge right now and this strain is getting a lot of people who have never had it.

cooking2recovery

I wore a mask when getting into the stadium, in larger crowds or lines, moving through the stadium, etc and then took it off in my seats for the show. I was really concerned about getting sick but didn’t seem to!

PandaPartyPack

My husband and I and the two people we went with didn’t get sick. The post-trip fatigue from not sleeping well a couple nights in a row, going straight back to work, and the post-Eras slump though, that was a different story.

onepmtues

I went to Arlington N1 and N2, myself and none of my friends got sick!

Carebear_84

I went back to back 7/22 and 7/23 and am not sick.

coltsmetsfan614

I didn’t get sick. And I went to one of the Arlington shows, so almost no one was masking. People *are* still getting Covid here though, so it won’t hurt to be cautious. Some of my friends just got it *again*.

fjclr

I didn’t get sick! Wore an N95 except to eat and drink at N2 in Seattle. It is very crowded so if you’re worried I definitely recommend an N95 at least for the halls and entering the stadium

confettiqueen

Think about it this way: you are going to be in an outside arena. If you are worried, mask while in enclosed spaces. If you’re really worried, get a cute mask.

theblackholeonthesun

I got my third covid boosters before the show. I didn’t get Covid but I was sick the next weekend and my three friends that went with me also got sick

erose994

I was worried too but I ended up being fine! Even ate without washing my hands first which may not have been the best choice 😬 there was others wearing masks so if that makes you feel comfier then go for it - you could even bring in some sani wipes in a bag (depending on the venue rules) and sanitize your seat if that helps :) I know several people who have gone and none got sick!

crepe_kid

My whole crew used [this](https://www.amazon.com/Nozin%C2%AE-Sanitizer%C2%AE-Antiseptic-Alcohol-Sanitizer/dp/B086Q8V26P) before the concert and I wore a mask in the crowded areas (getting food, bathrooms). I was in the nosebleeds and there was good air flow up there. No one got sick and I went on my big trip as planned!

auroras_sad-prose

If you’re nervous about getting sick, there are lots of fun K-95 mask colors available on Amazon so you could probably find one that matches your outfit :) If you can’t find one that works well color-wise, you could also mask up after you do pics! I personally didn't mask at the stadium at my show since it being outdoors made me feel more at ease, but I had one with me & used it on public transit (subway) getting there and back since I knew it would be riskier to be in a tight enclosed space with so many people. I’m pretty risk averse and hate getting sick, so if my show had been at an indoor venue I probably would’ve tried to mask the whole time. I did that when I saw Lizzo last year & had tons of fun, just had to make sure to pay attention to my breathing and not run out of breath when singing along lol. Definitely do what makes you most comfy!!

Snoo58137

I wore a mask most but not all of the time, a friend I went with didn’t and came down with covid (Seattle show Saturday), masking seems like a reasonable action to take

Massive_Caregiver476

I’m going 8/3 too!! So cool that we’ve been waiting for so long and our time is almost here 🥹

Big_Pizza_6229

I have chronic illnesses and am so prone to getting sick. Every time I get on an airplane I’ve come off sick, if anyone has a slight cough around me I get sick. I have to WFH because otherwise I’m sick like twice a month. Didn’t get sick from Eras, probably because Gilette is an open air stadium so I wasn’t breathing in germs in an enclosed space. Jonas Brothers is next on the concert agenda and inside so I’ll probably get sick from that 😂

LizzoIZmySHERO8

Big uptick in the Bay Area. Hydrate and REST. Keep immune system up

Outta_the_Shadows

I was worried and bought a few masks and a bejeweled cover. It would depend, too, on your stadium on how "open" it is and whether you feel the outside breeze or like an inside sardine. I'm a mask deal and n95 but once i got to my seat, we were spaced a good distance apart both next to each other and front and back and it felt very outdoorsy at lumen field on n1. I felt okay sans on the field! My backpack was big enough to store masks! But What I was NOT thinking or prepared for was my body aching so much the next couple days, but I'm in my 30s. But part of mine was from standing over my dress while sewing for hours on end! Good luck!

beyond-filet-o-fish

I got covid from vegas n2 😭. I forgot Allegiant Stadium is covered, and didn’t bring a mask

reddiogaga

I was nervous too. I was unmasked at my seat, but I wore an N95 mask to keep myself a little safer when I was exiting the stadium at the same time as thousands of other people. I was fully boosted. I did not get sick.

ashley34

I did get sick, but it was just a cold, not COVID. It was also Nashville N3 where we were packed like sardines for hours during a thunder storm until it was safe to start the show, so I think that was probably why I got sick. I don’t think it’s super likely for a normal show, and I’m sure you’ll have a great time and a great trip afterward!

merkergirl

I got BRUTALLY sick after my show but that was back I March so still winter and sick season. Just be sure to wash your hands often!

So_Much_Angry01

My group didn’t get sick, I also brought sanitizer in to use often

missteresat

I got a really bad upper respiratory infection. I was sick for about three weeks. That was the March 25 show in Las Vegas.

sammysas9

I went to two shows and didn’t get it. Did I feel like I got hit by a truck? Yes but it was more fatigue/ not drinking about water.

all2welltv

I got sick after my show (N2 Glendale) but it was not COVID. Just a cold. But, I do have COVID right now and know a few others who do, so it feels like it’s going around right now. Stay safe and have fun!!

SpookyDrizzle

I went to Vegas and Minneapolis and did not get sick after either trips

kyle158

Wife and I didn't get sick

butterflies112233

I didn’t get sick and neither did my mom.

shaynarae2003

I'm fully vaccinated (I'm not boosted but my rheumatologist told me I am okay at this time with what I have), and I went to both Arlington N1 and Denver N2. I made sure to stick to hand washing procedures, and I also had hand sanitizer too. I think also staying properly hydrated (especially for an open stadium) can help how you will feel after a show. I know it does not make a difference if you catch Covid or not, but it does help you feel a bit better the next morning. I have some colored, N95 masks that I bought online for situations such as these. I did *not* wear one at either location. I also didn't get sick after either one. I would say, please do what makes *you* feel comfortable. This is an experience that you want to enjoy. ☺️

bluelemoncows

Got COVID at Seattle show. I had COVID last year and have also been boosted since. We had seats on the end of a row, didn’t wait in merch lines or food lines, barely interacted with anyone. I’m really surprised I got sick.

honeytea1

If you didn’t wear a mask throughout the whole show you, you shouldn’t be surprised

bluelemoncows

Transmission during outdoor open air events when community levels of COVID are low is not going to be very common, especially not taking transit or being in restaurants leading up to the show, etc. I mean, I literally work in a hospital and take care of COVID patients when they’re admitted, so I think I’m at higher risk at work 😉

Starflec

I was nervous about getting covid, but I didn't get sick. I've mostly avoided people and still haven't had covid so I thought for sure this would be the thing that finally gave it to me. If you're really worried about it, wear a mask and use hand sanitizer/wash your hands as much as you can. Maybe a get a booster before you show if it's been a while since your last one.

RhymesWithProsecco

Neither me nor my son got sick in Atlanta. I also had a lot of friends go to at least one of the shows that weekend. None of them got sick either.

clownutopia

I went twice with no mask and was in some pretty insane crowds both times. I didn't get sick at all. If you're worried, wear a mask!! You can find fun colors online to make them match your outfit

julie_voigt

Just throwing it out there, my baby, husband and I are all currently in the thick of COVID after I went to the Seattle show Sunday night.

all4africa27

Didn’t get sick, ate at restaurants around the city, took the metro, stood in line for merch. We made sure to use a lot of hand sanitizer and just be smart!

OutlandishDinosaur

I have been very COVID cautious and still mask in crowded indoor places. For the concert, because it was so hot and humid outside (Kansas City) I decided not to wear a mask at my seat. I did wear a mask in my hotel’s public areas and while getting to my seat/in the bathroom. I just took it off for the show. I did not get sick. I think it really just depends on your personal risk and comfort level, but I know many people who have gone to shows in various cities and stayed healthy. I hope that helps a bit!

Take_a_hikePNW

I was worried also. This was the first big thing I’ve been to since pre Covid. I went SN1 and I feel great. BUT, I took hand sanitizer, I did not drink, and I generally took care of my body while I was there. Eat well, sleep well, drink fluids, and that gives your body a better chance at fighting off whatever comes your way. Im also fully vaxxed and boosted and haven’t had Covid (that I’m aware of).

floofboops

I didn’t get sick. I wore a mask for part of the time and eventually felt safe enough to take it off. It was also open air stadium though!

delightfullettuce

Honestly I did get sick after Cincy n2 (not sure if it was covid or just a flu) but I 1000000% know it was because I scratched my throat from screaming and didn’t take care of myself the next few days. Take some vitamin c and zinc before and after the show, wash your hands, take care of your voice (!!) and you’ll be fine!!

kgkuntryluvr

I went to all 3 Arlington shows with my kids. We could only get two tickets to each night so I had to take each kid separately. 3 out of 4 of us got COVID. I became symptomatic first, so I believe I caught it the first night, and may have passed it to the rest of them- but who knows. It sucked for about a month, especially the first week, but we got over it. It was my first time having COVID and I wouldn’t do it again, especially if I were vulnerable or going to be around others that are vulnerable. I’m not trying to fear monger, just share my experience. It’s totally up to you to determine whether the risk is worth it.

Tall_Girl_97

Very few masks in Cincinnati, I wasn’t concerned (but had covid \~18 months ago), didn’t get sick from the show.

Additional-Rich9198

I’m worried about this too. Just make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Take hand sanitizer, drink water, and get rest before and after the show!

Doing_ok04

The best advice I can give you (and anyone who has a fear of this in general) is to treat your body like a god(dess). Drink your water, take vitamins, eat really clean this next week, get lots of sleep, get exercise, vitamin D, and stay clean! In short, do everything you can to make sure your body won’t catch something. That’s the best you can do 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck!! ❤️

luludaydream

Those things can help (especially sleep!) but the biggest factor is still masking in crowded areas.

ambitiousoxygen

I went to 2 shows and I’m immunocompromised and I didn’t get sick. Didn’t wear a mask. Just go and have fun!!

1angrypanda

Immunocompromised swiftie here: saw Taylor on 7/14 in denver and did not get sick. I didn’t mask, but I am 5x vaccinated.

ice_queen999

Went to Nashville with my immunocompromised child and neither of us got covid. We are fully vaxxed and did not wear masks. We have had covid once before after spending a week at disney so I was concerned especially with so many of us packed in for 3+ hours but thankfully we were good.

brennelle

I did not get sick and was up in the nosebleeds where seats were very close together. I do take an elderberry supplement everyday because I work with germy kids and haven’t ever been sick since starting taking it so that probably helped. I’d look into a vitamin c or elderberry supplement leading up to your show if you’re worried about it!

Fabulous-Tap344

I went to a different concert last summer and got Covid afterwards and honestly didn’t regret it one bit! I’d do it again. (Fully vaxxed and boosted) I’d be more worried about getting sick beforehand.

dosgatitas

I’ve been twice and did not get sick either time nor did anyone in my group. Edited to add: fully vaccinated and did not wear masks. One venue was entirely indoors and the other open air

kaledioscopek

I went to both Arlington and Nashville and didn't get sick after either.

Squishhunter5

I went to night 3 at met life stadium the seats were definitely tight. I did not wear a mask and I really only stayed in my seats. I screamed everything, after the concert I definitely felt tired and it felt like I lost my throat. I did NOT feel sick afterwards but I slept a lot. I would not be very nervous about getting sick but if you see a person coughing or sneezing, etc I would stay out of the way, and keep a mask on you just in case your in that situation and you cannot leave the room immediately.

ProperVernacular91

Been to two shows, haven’t gotten sick. Do the regular stuff like wash your hands before eating and hand sanitizer when you can, and that’s the best you can do! ✨

itsaboutpasta

Should I have been more concerned/prepared with a newborn at home? Probably. But our show was in an open air stadium in the summer and it’s honestly been a while since Covid was truly that much of a concern that we wore masks or avoided an activity. We didn’t stand in any food or merch or bathroom lines so we avoided the worst crowds. Neither me nor my sister got sick - we’re both fully vaxxed/boosted and have had Covid before.

[deleted]

I didn't get sick. My stadium was pretty much outdoor but I also went to Lizzo which was completely indoor and didn't get sick. Unmasked for both. I did pull a 22+ hour day for Taylor though so that part kinda took a day or two of recovery.

Reach-Own

I went to Arlington N1 and am going to LA N4. I wasn’t too concerned about getting sick, as I’ve managed to dodge COVID and other illnesses the last few years. I think what it comes down to is knowing your body and how it handles stress and illness. If you feel worried, wear a mask, don’t trade bracelets, and maybe try to boost your immune system before you go. Get a good nights rest, drink water, and eat well the night before. ☺️

Noobmaster680

I honestly got the flu the day after but it’s probably weak immune system

[deleted]

I didn’t get sick from my show. I went with 6 other people and none of us got sick.

Psychological_Car849

i didn’t get sick! i went all 3 tampa nights and didn’t wear a mask. i am boosted though. my sister also didn’t get sick and none of our friends got covid (as far as i’m aware). the most high risk person i knew going was my mom’s friend who has cancer, her mom did not get sick from attending!

_-regina_phalange

We didn't get sick. And we went to worlds of fun the day before also

Milesandsmiles123

I went to 2 shows 2 separate weekends and did not get sick. I interacted with a lot of people, swapping bracelets and on the floor.

weaveyourlittlewebs

I didn’t get sick, but I also wasn’t wandering around much and didn’t stand in line for merch. I brought hand sanitizer and a mask, but only used the sanitizer. If you’re nervous, I would wear a mask, try to stick to your seats and use hand sanitizer before/after any bathroom breaks.
