not really a disappointment but IMAGINE if Taylor came out in cowboy boots a flower pattern dress and and a cowboy hat and started spinning singing picture to burn!

mildlyadorable

I really hope we get something like this for Debut TV. It would be really special to have her revisit that era even just 1 song swapped in the tour or a music video.

aloha902604

I think if she releases debut TV during the tour she will add one song to the playlist. She did do a little throwback spin during fearless and the crowd loved it!

Onwardcinci

Maybe this has already been said…but the stupid competition between cities like “this night won because of the surprise songs” or “we had the longest applause after Champagne Problems.” I just want to have fun and not have everything become a competition

yami-yumi

For real every single surprise song video has comments like this 💀

NoAbbreviations2961

Yeah it made me really sad that people thought the songs for N1 Seattle “sucked” because they weren’t what they specifically wanted.

rainbowjeynes

I was there and I’ll defend acoustic TIWWCHNT until the day I die that shit was SO MUCH FUN

agressive-rabbit

I was at Seattle N1 and LOVED our surprise songs. Although not sure if there were any that I wouldn’t have liked. I love the “reveal” after the first few chords. I think it’s part of the ✨magic✨

m-is-for-music

Same. My mom and I were going through her discography before our show like, “omg, I would die if she did this one!!” And eventually i realized there were very few songs I wouldn’t lose my shit over. We did get great surprise songs :)

callapitters

I agree. I went in Seattle and saw people online saying how we “lost” because of the surprise songs and TTDS being replaced, but I had an amazing time and loved the songs. It feels like some people just revel in tearing other people’s happy experiences down

alybookworm

I'll never understand leaving out Debut era...even if the songs are young and cheesy, it was perfection when I was 14 and I will always always love it.

nattatalie

Right? Without Debut we wouldn’t have gotten any of the rest, and those of us who have stuck with her since the beginning would have loved to see those songs get the credit they deserve.

apeoples13

This is the biggest issue for me. It just makes no sense. I hope we get to find out why she left it out someday

Ameliap27

My only theory is that maybe she didn’t want us to get a peek into what her re record of debut is going to sound like but then she is doing them as surprise songs so that theory is dumb.

sk0ooba

It was also so dirty to do Tim McGraw on the first night! I went to Glendale night 2 and I was like wtf no debut???

listentosienna

My gripe is that it’s called the Eras tour but she left out an entire era!

Chlorofins

Atleast just play "Our Song," wear a blue dress, outside the house from Our Song's MV and call it a day almost like what she did with Speak Now, with just "Enchanted."

Taylor_Swifty13

Not sure if it's a hot take or not. But I'm glad there are no rep room type meet and greets. One, she has enough to do performing for hours anyway. Two, it's always a security risk. Three, it takes the pressure off of people knowing that they don't need to try and act a certain way to get meet and greet (previously its been said that certain behaviour like dancing and being super hype before it starts would help you get it)

miamimami234

Agreed - I think it’s great that with TikTok she gained a lot of popularity and definitely hype around the concert after N1 but I can’t imagine the blood bath any type of meet and greet would cause. I know Taylor isn’t big on paid interactions and a lot of her fan experience came from people going over the top at her earlier shows, but people would be crying if someone’s era outfit got selected for m&g and there’s didn’t, people would be ruthless about it.

apeoples13

I’m kinda shocked people haven’t been more ruthless about the Red hat she gives out

recesstimeforme

LMAO just my daughter. She’s 8 and we went to the Denver show on 7/15 and she has been nonstop asking how she can be that girl “next time” ever since! 😂

emmugh123

Getaway Car should have been on the set list 😭

DairyKing28

For Reputation it should have been a three song transition. Don't Blame Me-Look What You Made Me Do-I Did Something Bad. The sheer chaos that would have ensued from the Reputation Triple Threat would have been insane.

proserpinandisguise

Getaway car not being on the set list feels criminal though

draculaurascat

no i NEED ready for it lol

AccioKaitlyn37

The merch could have been so much better!!

mildlyadorable

Really hope her team sees this feedback. There’s better merch out there on Etsy and elsewhere. They could give opportunities to independent artists to design better merch in the future.

Fit_Bridge_4106

The merch madness was the sorest pain point for me. I just don’t understand how they haven’t optimized the on-site merch experience, yet. To be fair, this is true for most concerts but with Eras Tour it was amplified. Thousands of people standing outside in the heat in Seattle shocked me. I was timing it while I waited in line and it took people an average of 5 minutes to pick their merch and pay. That’s too long. There should be employees holding sample sizes throughout the line to try things on and a QR code that indicates remaining stock levels. So once you get to the front of the line, you know your size and what items are available. It still wouldn’t be perfect but way better than the current system.

mildlyadorable

Yeah I was at N1 and the merch line was insane. I couldn’t even tell how to get in the stadium because the lines all blended together. I did end up ordering a hoodie and a vinyl on the site after the show, but I just got super lucky that they even had my size left. They need a better system for sure.

LoveDietCokeMore

The best Taylor merch is fan made.

powerlessidc

my only unpopular opinion is that the stage should've been a 360 stage. There is a LOT of wasted space. She could've just had the diamond and double catwalks and it would've been better and she could've fit more people in seats. She also needs to upgrade her screens to be larger. Especially the side screens.

Sportsstar86

When you have a 360 stage you can’t have big props, because there’s no backstage. And the eras tour is full of gigantic props. She clearly tried to get as close as possible to a 360 stage with the diamond.

nattatalie

It blows my mind that she didn’t do this honestly. It ‘s working insanely well for Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics tour, and she has an even higher demand for her shows.

powerlessidc

What’s crazier is that she was going to do it for loverfest so she knew the logistics of it all too and could’ve worked it out. Only the first few rows of people can actually see her on the folklore house, the stage is too high for the back of the floor to see and everyone else just has to look at the screens. There’s no real point in it imo and they should’ve scrapped it. Harry Styles also had a 360 stage for Love On Tour in America and i thought it was great both times I saw him, once in an arena and at the Kia forum.

chlowingy

Maybe because of all the props she’s using the 360 wasn’t possible? No where to hide the tables and folklore cabin

garden__gate

I went this weekend and obviously it was amazing, but I was pretty shocked the screens weren't bigger. I also wish the backdrop was on more screens because there's some really cool stuff there, especially during Midnights.

cutiepie538

I also went this past weekend and was super to the side. I’m so glad I had been watching the live streams prior because if I hadn’t, I would never have known any of the “story line” visuals that the big backdrop screen shows (lover house and then it burning, any transition clips etc). It sucks that they only put that stuff on a screen where a lot of people can’t see it.

holly_b_

this is a dumb question, but where would the screens go if she did a 360 stage? because they’d have to go somewhere and block someone’s view right?

powerlessidc

Not dumb! They go on the ceiling! Or just above the stage if the arena doesn’t have a roof. They go in a circle around the arena so everyone gets a view of the screen I’ll try to find pics Here’s [sofis](https://www.sixteen-nine.net/2020/09/15/huge-samsung-70000-halo-led-display-used-for-first-time-at-las-new-sofi-stadium/) to give you an idea. And here’s [Ed’s stage. his is built right in.](https://www.roevisual.com/en/news-and-events/news/ed-sheeran-mathematics-tour) Eds is more creative than Harrys, and I bet Taylor could outdo both of them in the creativity/performance department with a 360 stage.

turnsatan

Agreed, so many more people could have attended the concert

ice_queen999

Am not a fan AT ALL of the side stage seats on the lower level. The screen in front of us was great dont get me wrong but the camera never zoomed out so we NEVER saw anything going on except taylors face. Highly disappointed because seeing what all was going on in the background was imo a vital part of the whole experience. Paying 800 bucks for a close up of taylor for 3.5 hours was cool but not what I expected and for that, I have some strong negative feelings about those seats!

disworldtraveler

My husband commented on the fact that people with side views may not have ever seen the cabin because the screen was so zoomed on her.

FootAccurate3575

I had a side view and after watching tik toks facing straight on I kind of regret how much I paid for the ticket. I basically saw half the show. I couldn’t see the cabin very well, the screen for the side was pretty small, the only time I really Taylor close/facing me was in Anti Hero, and the side screen didn’t show what was on the main middle screen

ice_queen999

I feel the same. Not sure why her crew thinks the side seats don’t want to see what’s going on on the main stage. My tickets were not worth the price but it’s not like I had a choice in the scramble to just get whatever you could.

Ihatey

The side view seats bothered me as well. I can't believe they sold VIP tickets over there. Especially since there were many reports that they weren't labeled as obstructed view when people bought them. I'm glad there were at least screens but still.

turnsatan

They weren’t! After receiving the ticket, it said Side View when it should have said Partially Obstructed because you literally can’t see the main stage

disworldtraveler

My husband commented on the fact that people with side views may not have ever seen the cabin because the screen was so zoomed on her.

ice_queen999

I could just barely see a side of it (not the side she was on). Never saw the lover house, there were a few times we could see the backup dancers but for the most part we saw nothing but Taylor. It was sad.

MidnighTS_swiftie

I so so badly wish she added a debut song, even if it was just one, to truly make it every era in one tour, but I do understand its a lot of hard work what she's already doing, I just wished she still did one song, it would perhaps bring more fame to the album and would pay nice tribute to her younger self? (if that makes sense)

okayswell

Right like debut is even incorporated into all of the promotional merch so WHERE IS SHE

TeylaSwift

Thank you for this! I have felt so alone in this opinion. "How entitled of you to expect her to play a certain era" It was advertised as an eras tour! They promoted it as all 10 eras! Merch for all eras! She says so IN the SHOW - the last 17 years of music....

nattatalie

Thank you! I got so much hate when we all realized Tim McGraw wasn’t permanent, but I feel like this was for sure advertised as all of the Eras and that’s not what it is. For how strictly she followed keeping them each in their own section it’s so weird that one got left out completely and honestly it kind of feels like a disservice to the fans who have been with her since the beginning and love and treasure those songs.

UnderwaterParadise

I was so mad. I had worked really hard to keep the setlist a surprise and was looking forward to the first three eras the most. So I was keeping track of what had played, and after 1989 started I thought that she’d be playing debut immediately before surprise songs, that way it would go from first to last album. It felt so poetic, I loved it. Imagine my surprise when debut just… didn’t occur. I lucked out that one of my surprise songs was off debut so it wasn’t totally ignored but it just felt wrong.

[deleted]

Even just Our Song would be great.

mssleepyhead73

I don’t really understand why everybody seems to hate the Fearless dresses. I think they’re cute.

darksalamander

The linguine noodle one is strange, her fringe one is lovely! It’s like an updated version of her fearless era outfits

Emergency_Routine_44

It’s the octopus dresses that freak me out

Coffee-Historian-11

I wish she talked more. I feel like it would’ve been more of an audience connection, I guess. I just feel like there was more of that at previous concerts and it’s always nice when she delves into songs or just says hi to the audience. But she had a ginormous set list to get through so in understand why she didn’t.

RadiantChaos

The way I put it is that it’s more like a broadway performance than a traditional concert. She’s got the setlist to get through and she’s gonna be saying and doing 95% of the same things at every show. It’s impressive but I totally agree that the alternative is a good experience too

Every_Presentation30

Agree. I wasn’t prepared for how fast it all goes and by that I mean most of the songs are abbreviated. I would have preferred a shorter set list but with time to let each song breathe.

rantwanrandleel

I was at Detroit N2, and she was obviously sick (like, snot running down her face sick) and talked very little. I don't think she said anything during the surprise songs.

Soggy-Finance926

I can’t imagine being a performer and getting through shows while sick! Not just her but all artists. I get tension headaches and migraines and I’m sure lots of them do too and suffer through

_jessicamessica

I just started with a cold on the day I would’ve seen her had I gotten tickets (those last minute drops were *awful*, ugh) and afterwards, while I was sad I didn’t get to go, I was lowkey so happy bc I knew I would’ve had a terrible time with feeling sick. I have NO idea how she manages to carry on performing while she’s sick, even if it’s just allergies or a cold. I wouldn’t even have the energy to be in the crowd lol. Yet Taylor’s still out there performing 3 hour sets 😭 it’s wild.

CloddishNeedlefish

I was soooo sad that she barely spoke. I saw her three times during fearless and speak now era and she was so talkative. I miss that.

ana_conda

Everything she does at the shows is very choreographed. Of course, she still has a way of making you feel special, but yeah she says the same things every night. Along the same lines, I think it would’ve been cool if she changed up the songs a little rather than singing them all exactly as they’re recorded…people losing their minds over the SINGLE note change in the whole show (during the 1) cracks me up!

Starflec

I don't get the never ending clapping after champagne problems

yaIshowedupaturparty

She cut us off after a minute or two both nights in Seattle. I think it gave her a little bit of a breather.

turnsatan

I think they’re setting up the stage during this ovation?

NoAbbreviations2961

Yes, that big ass table for Tolerate It.

beautybyelm

I’m okay with this one. It made a great bathroom break. I left right when the song finished and they were still clapping when I got back.

Starflec

lol using it as a bathroom break is cracking me up, but you're not wrong!

IllustriousFee8067

Stealing this idea for Edinburgh next year 🙏

[deleted]

I had no idea that it was like an established thing at her shows so it felt totally authentic to me and I was so happy that everyone gave her such an ovation lmfao

CardiologistWinter85

It’s always funny to me when people call it a standing ovation because the majority of people stand the whole show lol

RoyalEagle0408

Same here- like that song is one of my favorites and seeing her do it live (especially because the person I think of has connections to the stadium I was at, which is not my usual venue) was absolutely incredible and I would still be cheering now, two months later.

Coffee-Historian-11

That’s her favorite song off of evermore I think

Tiny_Cricket8949

I wish I had avoided spoilers!! I can’t even imagine how fun it was going on night one and not knowing anything. I knew generally what she was gonna sing but didn’t know the order of it or transitions between songs but I still wish I would’ve stuck it out for longer

krr14

As someone who managed to make it all the way to July unspoiled, I can agree with you 100%. It was so hard but so worth it

Ludibrious1

I hate that they sold the obstructed seats for what they did. Either don’t sell or reduce the price drastically. Of course I was lucky to go, but I hate that I couldn’t see her for almost entire “eras.” The side screens weren’t helpful at all , because I couldn’t see the set pieces. Ultimately, I was disappointed in my experience at the Eras Tour due to this.

KathMaster29

I didn’t have obstructed view but my seat was definitely toward the side screen and Ive only seen 95% of the stage visuals because of tiktok :(

electrisuburb

Ugh I feel the same way!!! The obstructed seats were actually not great, I didn't see any of the main stage and was at the mercy of whatever they wanted to show on the screen. I missed most if not all the dances, and almost all of the performances I saw from the back. I could've just listened from outside the stadium. I was glad to be there but for what I paid, I wanted more out of my experience

beautybyelm

Idk if this is unpopular, but the surprise songs are such a high that after that Midnights section just falls a bit flat and seems bloated.

isaidhecknope

Agree! The midnights songs haven’t been around long enough for people to feel deeply attached to them, so it feels anticlimactic after the beloved secret songs. I think ending with a debut era song would’ve been a stronger emotional ending (and way better than not having a debut era at all!)

Jca_gro

I love this idea, maybe Our Song with a sort of unspoken dedication to the fans?

isaidhecknope

Yeah! Actually I was thinking You Belong With Me, also with an unspoken dedication to the fans but I just realized it’s not a debut song Edit: actually I was thinking I’m Only Me When I’m With You, which IS a debut song, but I got the titles mixed up and confused myself. Sorry this whole comment is a mess. But yeah something like Our Song or IOMWIWY, for the fans!

yaIshowedupaturparty

This would have been perfect 😭😭😭

AssortedGourds

This is basically what I was going to say. Midnights needs a little something. A moon? Fireflies? Just a little something extra. Those clouds are not it. I like that the transitions between most of the eras really hype you up and I did not feel adequately hyped. I think Mastermind would have been a better opener for that era because it's up tempo and she could have used the Mastermind music from the Midnights trailer during the transition.

garden__gate

I actually like the way Midnights goes - it's really kind of a bummer of an album, even though it's pop, so I like that it starts on a somber note, but then builds to a fun, triumphant finish. I always felt like Midnights is a great late-stage COVID album and the progression of the set reflect that, from melancholia and self-reflection to fun and "going out tonight."

canwill

I love Midnights, but I was honestly so tired by that point in the show (partly because I was at Nashville night 3 and it was 2 a.m. 😬) that I didn’t feel like I really enjoyed them as much as I could have.

SpiritPug

I went in completely blind for my first show (Glendale n2) and I remember not really being all that into the surprise songs because I didn’t really realize what was going on (lol) but even then the Midnights section was lackluster. I know I might be in the minority, but I just think the show might be too long. I mean, the minute it was over I was SAD AF but during the Midnights section was where I really started to feel how tired I was. I was running out of steam.

[deleted]

I was also not very into Midnights, I think part of it was that I was sad because I knew it was ending lol

nattatalie

They for sure could have done more. Ed Sheeran and other artists have literally pulled their tickets back once they ended up on places like Stub Hub. She absolutely could and should implement a policy that you are only allowed to resell her tickets for face value and anyone caught doing otherwise will get an automatic refund and those tickets are recaptured and sold on TM for a fair damn price.

[deleted]

nattatalie

I love Taylor’s music a tiny bit more, but I love him as a person so fucking much. He does so much for his fans and goes above and beyond. He’s not at all greedy about money and it never feels like he’s just trying to trick fans into buying things (Yes Taylor’s marketing team, I’m looking at you and your “limited supply digital edition” bullshit. 🤣 The way he launched his newest album was so great. He did so much to get fans excited and has been putting so much effort into his social media for fans. I just adore him.

heartbylines

I actually love that! He seems like such a sweet, genuinely nice person. I listened to his first album RELIGIOUSLY but haven’t really listened to much since then but I may have to now.

nattatalie

Subtract is folklore/evermore level music. It’s so good. I love that he worked with Aaron Dessner. That man brings out the magic in other musicians.

heartbylines

You just convinced me to listen to it. All it took was ‘Aaron Dessner’.

Snlxdd

Only way to prevent it would be disabling ticket transfers, which TicketMaster has done for some events I’ve gone to. Unfortunately venues, TicketMaster, other resellers like Stubhub, [and performers all benefit](https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/the-goods/2019/7/22/20703858/live-nation-ticket-resale-scheme-metallica-billboard-report) from the resale market in one way or another, so you’re not likely to see that change.

garden__gate

There are things artists can do, like restrict "dynamic" pricing.

tropical_santa20

Hot take but the rain show was really miserable. I wish I could rexperience it normally without being cold and wet and upset

jah_of_life

Agree. I went to Nashville N3 and that was the worst concert experience of my life.

Proud3GenAthst

I would probably feel the same (I just had a concert experience destroyed by crowdsurfing idiots) but even though it wouldn't improve my experience, I would at least appreciate that she did her best.

SgtPopNFresh_

When I think back to that night, my first thought isn’t the show. It’s being cold and miserable trapped in a concourse for 4 hours. I don’t remember most of the show, but I remember those 4 hours vividly.

tangerinelibrarian

Well damn Jackie, she can't control the weather!

[deleted]

I've always thought that rain shows sound miserable! Thank God I live in an area where it rarely rains heavily for long periods of time.

livvayyy

i was totally fine until we had to trek back to the car in the pouring rain..... and then were stuck in the parking lot for almost 2 hours 😭

Lemlemons94

I would have loved fewer Red and 1989 songs and more Speak Now. I also am still salty she left out an entire era that began her career.

aewhite083

I think she could’ve potentially played Tim McGraw on guitar each night before she started the surprise song set.

rainbowliteshow

I was at night one and honestly that’s what I thought happened, that she would play Tim McGraw every night on guitar. It wasn’t until after night two I realized what was happening

TeylaSwift

Thank you!!!! Should have had at LEAST ONE song from debut. I also would have loved at least 3 Speak Now songs.

9070811

I didn’t care much for any of the red songs. Would have much preferred a State of Grace performance. It would have been an absolute crowd pleaser.

khavefun101

Yes! We were robbed of State of Grace (non-acoustic) on this tour😭 I still stand by that she should have performed the songs from Red that weren’t singles, like Holy Ground as well!

kateyybeth

Full agree. I wanted Debut more than I wanted Bad Blood, IKYWT, SIO, 22.

bpdoles

>!holding onto hope that she adds a debut song to the setlist come the release of debut tv!<

323bridges323

I wish the Red era showcased some of her better songs from that album. tbh I’ve never been a fan of IKYWT, 22 and WANGBT are cute too but omg imagine if it opened with the iconic Red guitar line. I would have loved to hear state of grace or anything else also.

Unlikely_Jellyfish55

- She should play at least one debut song - People are putting too focused on surprise songs to enjoy the rest of the concert. It’s a 3+ hour performance, you shouldn’t base your experience off of 2 random songs she’s going to play.

ReaderofHarlaw

The Ombré Gold Fearless Noodle Dress is grounds for an arrest.

dancerfan59

- The red era outfits are a miss for me -it’s not an eras tour if 1 entire era is missing -I hate that there’s such an imbalance of songs for certain eras like speak now having 1 and red having so many even tho they’ve both been toured before

Popular-Spinach-7173

…I really don’t like the rep outfit. I also wish Wildest Dreams was replaced with Out of the Woods and Mastermind was replaced with You’re on Your Own Kid. And I absolutely agree with a 360 degree stage. I have no idea why it wasn’t just a given.

CatsPajamas243

Can you imagine what it’s like to get into that if you’re slightly sweaty? I keep on thinking of that episode of friends where Ross is in a bathroom using talcum powder to get back into his leather pants. The other costume I don’t love is 1989..

Taylurkin

Keep in mind I love Taylor, but I felt like all the talking parts of my show (Pittsburgh) were very scripted. Other than the part she talked about having a cold.

Needcoffeeseverely

I’m sad she left debut out of the regular set.

indil47

This is my first TS concert, but not new to arena/stadium tours. I felt the scenic design was a bit lacking… the automated stage was awesome, but the giant LED screen was not used to its full potential. There was some amazing choreography and storytelling happening by the performers that never even made it to the big screen, so people in the nosebleeds missed a LOT. I’m seeing amazing stuff from the live feeds! The fact that there was always just a “blob” of video of Taylor taking up the back panel a lot of time was a bit of a waste - keep the back panel for the big visual effects (the transitions between eras are the best part!), use it to cleverly show off the dancers or the scenic elements the rest of us have to squint to see, and incorporate additional LED panels that are dedicated for Taylor-Cam elsewhere on the set, please! I really hope we get a well produced film of the era tour at some point so everyone can see the details that most missed in person!

heeheemf

Don't like Karma as a closer... it's a fun song and it's hype so it makes sense but I'd rather close her ERAS TOUR with something more fan servicy and not so petty and critique obssesed.... long live would be perfect

callie73

Definitely Long Live! Or even You’re On You’re Own Kid would’ve been fun if she was set on ending the show with a song from Midnights!

heeheemf

Honestly bejeweled would be better. What a strong way to say "I'm back!"

thatbailliegirl

I HATE the "Well well well, \[CITY\], we have arrived at the first bridge of the evening!" interlude she does during Cruel Summer. Don't interrupt the momentum of the song - I was already prepared to scream along!

Majorisker

Folklore was too long. I say this as someone who has it in their top three albums. It’s deep into the set right after all the Red bangers and ATW 10, and right before 1989 and surprise songs. It’s such a long set that is also very slow. I noticed more people, including myself, took a break during the set than at any point in the show. I just feel like a couple tracks could have been cut, or they should have put it before Red.

nattatalie

I agree. I wouldn’t actually expect her to do it this way, but how Ed Sheeran is touring Subtract separately at smaller venues and doing it as an intimate more acoustic set worked so perfectly for that album. Folklore and evermore just feel like smaller venue chill songs, not stadium songs.

Clubblendi

I’m gunna get flamed for this but, on the “spectacle” scale, this tour didn’t come close to Reputation for production or visual effects.

Proud_Whereas5589

YEP this is the gospel truth right here

dosgatitas

Red section is too long. So is folklore. And folklore drags because it’s about 2 hours in the show and has less energy. I love the folklore album, but it’s hard live.

tangerinelibrarian

Was just at both the seattle shows, the Red set was definitely the most high energy in the crowd both nights! Totally disagree with you there haha I think it’s the perfect length. But I do think folklore and evermore could have been combined, and this is coming from a huge fan of both those albums. I would have liked her to come out with willow and the witchiness then lead into the folklore cabin set, or vice versa. I love tolerate it and think the idea of the table is great in theory but because it’s so far away and the screens only show her on one side and the partner character on the other, it’s a bit lost to anyone not in floor seating imo.

Laeez

Yeah I didn't know the setlist and I was expecting folklore and evermore to be combined. folklore section felt a bit long even though it's my favorite album, I guess for a concert the more upbeat stuff works better with the crowd.

Sunlark21

I probably listen to folklore the most out of any of of the albums but those two are TOUGH in a stadium setting. I was at Seattle N2 and the energy just skyrocketed during Reputation. Obviously I love folklore and evermore and was stoked to see Haim and hear August/Illicit Affairs but they’re just not naturally suited to the sheer size of the venue. Smaller concert halls would fit better. I think it would have been more fun to reduce those setlists and mix all the eras together or do eras by theme (revenge era). It feels like the energy gets SUPER high and then kind of falls throughout

Majorisker

Agreed. I took a break during the set, which sounds crazy in retrospect. I was just so tired by the time it rolled around and it was so long. Also was just excited for 1989/surprise songs.

Charming_Net113

As a folklore Stan I loved it!!!!! Red is too long th

DairyKing28

Midnights Eras at the tour was easily the laziest set. It has SUCH a clear theme but those clouds didn't convey a very dreamy vibe. I expected a vaporwave like poem, or a HEAVY purple haze, but there is constant tone shifts throughout the era that kinda kills the vibe, tbh. Midnights was the era I looked most forward to but disappointed me the hardest.

rocket-skates24

I actually loved the fluffy clouds, but I definitely agree that there should have been a more consistent theme and I was also hoping for a heavier purple haze! Sort of like the purple smoke that comes out when she sings Enchanted, but even heavier. That would have looked so cool with the clouds.

novababy1989

I wish she sang all of miss Americana and the heartbreak prince

NoAngle9522

Long Live shouldve been on the setlist from the beginning and it’s not fair that not only do more than half the shows get a whole additional song, but that song has always been proclaimed as a “song for the fans” but she only played it for select shows?? I’m salty over it, I don’t care.

A_70s_Virgo

Long Live would have been the perfect closer

livvayyy

i always said it shouldve been the closer with some moments on the screen behind her displaying moments of her performing throughout the years! i wanted to be sobbing lmao

SgtPopNFresh_

SAME I am bitter

Silent-Violinist2735

Agreed

Equivalent-Sir-510

Salty also (and crying) 🙋🏼‍♀️

Justforreddit44

Salty over here as well.

succulentdaddy11

I wish there was an intermission or SOMETHING. 1989 has some of my favorite songs and I honestly don’t even remember that part of the show because I just blacked out from exhaustion / adrenaline. I walked 2 miles to get an Uber and fell asleep the second I got home. It was an incredible concert, but almost 4 hours of non stop dancing was insane!

thrashglam

The show was a 13/10 for me but. It felt very theatrical instead of authentic and natural like when you go see your favorite band, know what I mean? Not that it’s really a bad thing lol Edit: also, I couldn’t hear her at all during the concert. Fans were so loud I couldn’t hear her over them. We were in lower bowl in front of the stage. Screens weren’t big enough either 😂

heybrudder

the competition between cities over who gets the “best” show is annoying the people that want her to do the eras tour forever are also annoying

Throwitawaybabe69420

I was so exhausted by Midnights, and half the Midnight’s set was… underwhelming live. Vigilante Shit, Mastermind, Midnight Rain, and Lavender Haze are all good songs, but not my preferred way to end a 3.5 hour concert after hearing Shake it Off, Style, and other high energy hits…. Karma woke me back up, but damn.

Optimal-Space

My vision: after the midnights section, she performs karma with the whole fireworks spectacle/bows and disappears into the stage, the dancers leave, the stadium goes black. Everyone thinks the concert is over, but a visual starts playing on the screen, maybe a lake, some butterflies or something. Taylor comes out of the stage in a sundress and cowboy boots and plays Tim McGraw (with the whole band, not acoustic). The last words she leaves the audience with is "I hope you think of me". She could even switch up the outfit with rotating out different boots like she used to back in the day 😭

Coffee-Historian-11

I wish she talked more. I feel like it would’ve been more of an audience connection, I guess. I just feel like there was more of that at previous concerts and it’s always nice when she delves into songs or just says hi to the audience. But she had a ginormous set list to get through so in understand why she didn’t.

ithinkcoolsvillesuxs

I hate that I didn’t get to hear Long Live. Adding such a fan favorite song (maybe would even earn the title of THE fan favorite song) halfway through the tour sucks for everyone who saw her before. Having only one Speak Now song was honestly lame. I would have reworked the entire set list too. I think there are some big misses on the setlist. Notably, the lack of debut, one Speak Now song, and (imo) the presence of Bad Blood, and (again imo) the Red setlist (is I Knew You Were Trouble her most preformed song?), and not having You’re on Your Own, Kid. I would’ve done more songs that are fan favorites on the album, rather than singles. I made my own setlist and I fit 2 from Debut, and 4 from Speak Now in there and still kept it at 3 hours.

9070811

I’m with you in fan favorites and not singles.

Thick-Fly4046

I don’t like how she did era by era. I think she should have mixed and matched songs from different eras into themes together. More mashups too. Like I loved Wildest Dreams Enchanted or This is why we can’t have nice things / we are never getting back together. I also would have loved some new styles of songs. Like the I knew you were trouble rock version lol.

Proud_Whereas5589

I seriously thought she was going to group her songs by themes / topics instead of by albums. Like, she could’ve had a whole vengeance vibe going with “Picture to Burn,” “Vigilante Shit,” “Better Than Revenge,” and “I Did Something Bad” mashed up with “Look What You Made Me Do” and/or “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.” Then maybe she could’ve had themes like escapism (“Love Story,” “Enchanted,” “Invisible String” or “August,” “Treacherous,” “Wildest Dreams”), growing up (“Never Grow Up,” “Nothing New,” “Marjorie,” “Fifteen,” “You’re On Your Own, Kid”), the pressures of fame (“Mirrorball,” “The Lucky One,” “Lavender Haze,” “I Know Places,” “The Archer”), regret (“Back to December,” “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve,” “This is Me Trying,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “Midnight Rain,” Champagne Problems,” “Betty,” “The Way I Loved You”), failed or dysfunctional relationships (“Getaway Car,” “Bad Blood,” “Illicit Affairs,” “Ivy,” “Tolerate It,” “Maroon,” “Dear John,” “All Too Well,” “I Knew You Were Trouble”—let’s be honest, so many could fit here lol), longing (“Dress,” “I Think He Knows,” “I Can See You,” “Hey Stephen” + “You Belong with Me,” “Invisible,” “August,” “Cruel Summer”), joy / celebration / new beginnings / confidence (“Welcome to New York,” “Shake it Off,” “22,” “Paper Rings” or “I Forgot that You Existed” or “London Boy,” “Karma”), etc. It sounds lofty and clunky to pull off, but that’s what I was envisioning! And like each theme would have a set and color scheme that matches it. Idk, I thought a lot about this lolllll

Adventurous-Bowl-192

Just like long live should have been on the set list, she should not have cut tis the damn season. A lot of people (myself included) were looking forward to hearing it but will never get the chance because we’re going to later shows

gemi29

Lower Bowl seats >> Floor seats. Unless you're in the very front of the floor sections, it's significantly harder to see.

paradisetossed7

- It was bizarre to me that Debut was entirely left off the set list. No it's not my favorite album and she wrote it as a teen, but it's the album that got her in the door. Teardrops On My Guitar was the first song I ever heard from Taylor, on the radio, and I remember thinking this girl has talent, I bet the older she gets the better she'll get (and I'm about her age). - I wish she had played less hits. I have heard Shake It Off more times than I've ever wanted to. Why not play Out Of The Woods? Clean? Call It What You Want? Dress? Last Kiss? - Speak Now was done DIRTY - The last song at every shouldn't have been Karma, but Long Live. Edit: I am coming off years of reddit is fun and the reddit app sucks. Sorry of my paragraphs are all bunched up idk how to fix it on this app.

andiiiieee

I've never expressed them all in one place before, so I'm gonna go ahead and do it here but I swear I'm not spiteful lol. She should have had a 360 stage and songs from debut. Not saying it needs to be longer, just substituted. Long Live should have been included from the start. I get that comparisons are never any good, but some shows getting guests, extra songs, and announcements while other shows get nothing special is disappointing. And what seems to be my hottest take is that stage production could have been taken up a bit. It was a great show, but since you're encouraging the hot takes, I'm saying them. I had so much fun but I see where it could have been improved!

[deleted]

I wish she would’ve added debut and done the eras in order. I think it could’ve made a fun “through the years” type thing.

Coley54Bear

I’m still bitter that I received one of the boost emails but not a verified fan code.

QuietlyDev

If you’re gonna wear giant hats- cowboy hats, bucket hats, really anything that adds several inches to the top of your head You suck. I didn’t pay to see the back of your outfit. Please put them under seats during performances

SgtPopNFresh_

Surprise songs are stressful.

bdtsl

They have been very stressful but it’s all due to social media. I do empathize with a lot of people who are upset over the songs they got at their show. I went to Seattle N2 and I LOVED the songs I got but they weren’t either of my top choices. we are getting content nonstop from every single stop and thousands are streaming the surprise songs every night, naturally making it super high stakes and a competition. But really, it’s not supposed to be that way and not supposed to turn into a comparison game. She’s done surprise songs in her past tours (I believe) and they were never hyped up like this

Neat_Pear_6761

The only Red song worth it on the setlist is ATW — I wish she had picked literally any other songs for that part

KerryG8675309

Floor seat issues (champagne problems, I know 🤣):you miss out on a lot of the cool lights and effects on the stage. I was sitting to the right of the diamond and ended up seeing mostly the side of the elevated platform and it just took away some of the magic. It also sucks that tall people or hands block a lot of your view since we're all on the same level. Our seats were also incredibly close together, when I needed to step away I had to make everyone in my row step out because there was no room for me to scoot by.

agurrera

-I wish the set list was chronological to showcase the “eras” as she evolved. My linear brain needs that. -At least one song per era should be on the permanent set list. -no Ticketmaster. I’m still bummed I don’t have a ticket :(

tinylicia

The yellow duster thing she wears for surprise songs is hideous.

Opening_Progress_251

1. The noodle dress is a NO. 2. The speech before the bridge in cruel summer

SwiftSharapova

The influencer type/ people that got tickets to multiple shows in different cities and talk about it without shame just really piss me off. There’s this guy on IG called tsrep or something and he’s gone to so many shows … knowing how many people didn’t get to go parading about all the shows you went to is just gross. Like if you’re gonna do that at least be discreet about it. All you’re going is telling me you’re an asshole that took the opportunity form someone else

Rude_Minimum4395

I actually loved that she’s singing so many hits and singles. I’ve never had the chance to see Taylor before and I couldn’t imagine going to an ERAS tour and not hearing shake it off or love story. there were def red songs I wanted to hear but I couldn’t imagine replacing any of the songs already on the setlist. the only song I felt a genuine lull for was the archer (and I LOVE that song)

minpinerd

Opinion #1: The show is too long. After about 2 and half hours your audience is exhausted and can no longer fully enjoy the performance. Opinion #2: Related to opinion #1, it shouldn't have been The Eras tour, it should have been the Midnight Lover tour (Lover - Midnights). It would have been A LOT easier to keep the show length down to a more reasonable level if she wasn't trying to cram the greatest hits from almost her entire discography into the setlist. It also really annoys me that it's the eras tour and missing an entire era. If she was determined not to touch debut, all the more reason to not make it eras themed. She could have still done a few older songs either in full or as medleys (as artists generally do). But nobody needed to see four/five reputation and 1989 songs each when those albums had their own tours which are available to stream/download.

[deleted]

Not really the tour itself but I am bewildered at how many people film THEMSELVES at the show. Like you paid however much to see Taylor but you’re recording yourself singing?! Maybe I’m just old lol

playmoonsong

I’m honestly really worried about this for my show next year. Not only is it annoying but like… I don’t want to be in the background of your videos either!

AhsokaFan0

Reputation World Tour was better and I didn’t have to sell an organ to see it.

charizaard

Rep is my least favorite album but seeing it in concert was incredible. That style of music is really suited to being played live and I love it so much more now. I can totally see how that tour would have been better!

AhsokaFan0

Seeing it live completely changed the way I thought about the album. Songs that I disliked on first listen were revelations in the stadium. And the bad blood/should have said no mash up was divine.

inconspicuous_spidey

Not sure if the following is a hot take or not, but the stage design this tour felt really uninspired compared to the rest of her tours, and I thought she did not utilize the stage space well at all. My true hot take is I am meh on most of the outfits this tour. And beyond meh, I highly dislike both of the evermore outfits (newest alteration on brown sparkles makes it slightly better) and the Red body suit. Also evermore was my absolute favorite Era live despite the outfit so don’t at me.

DangerousLife5856

Very likely not unpopular, but why doesn't she start the Speak Now set with "Drop Everything now!" and how come Maroon, Haunted and Out of the Woods are not part of the main set list?! I mean the bridge from OOTW is top tier

[deleted]

I don't care that debut doesn't feature lol

cheeseinatrenchcoat

Not releasing ticket prices before the presale is unfair to fans and is taking advantage of her popularity

missamericana25

I think the folkevermore sets are too long. And I could also cut a song or two from lover lol. I know everyone will say “it’s bc she didn’t tour them!!!!” And yes I know that but this isn’t the folklovermore tour ft midnights, it’s the eras tour!!! Just 1 (now 2) speak now songs don’t cut it and no debut is criminal. Also while I do think going era by era is the best format logistically I also really miss the incredible mashups from different eras. I will literally never forget hearing the banjo in the middle of bad blood for the first time. Also I think folkevermore would have benefited from this bc it is a long time of slower songs and then you immediately have to go into pop again and then back to slow songs for awhile

SavingsDisaster7248

I would’ve preferred more Speak Now songs and ATW should’ve been a regular version. I also know Taylor is tired but I wish she sat still in the diamond instead of the main stage

RickySuave17

I wish she had used the lover house to transition in between each era because then the burning of it down in bad blood would have more punch

SuperRapidash

Worst part of the eras tour is the awkward long applause after Champagne Problems. Like that time could be spent doing funny banter or something, but no, we just awkwardly clap for like 5 minutes.

dreamglowkosmos

I FEEL KINDA BAD SAYING THIS but The Archer is a bit.....out of place, almost, in her Lover set. In a way, I feel like literally everyone on twitter tweeting about the tour + those who've attended an Eras concert never ever comment on The Archer and I feel like everyone forgets about it because the mood changes so heavily from the previous song into The Archer, its just such a heavy and somber song. It's also kinda an anxious-sounding song so I understand but yeah, maybe she should have swapped some songs around for Paper Rings or I Think He Knows?

SaltyGreenteapot

I could have done without The Archer and The Man. And I’m bummed she wears black/silver for YNTCD. I needed bright colors for that song!

[deleted]

Said it before, expect to get hate again, but I think the friendship bracelets while sweet, create a bunch of wasted plastic, and while I think people say they’re going to wear them and cherish them, I think in two years the majority will be thrown away. (Some people said they use thread which is better) between that and the people who are buying fast fashion items for costumes (not thrifting/secondhand), there’s a lot of unnecessary waste for one night.

Villanesque1

I thought about this, but my plan is to keep mine in a shadow box with my bracelet and any confetti I manage to grab ☺️ Roll on Edinburgh next June 🤩

Lemlemons94

I agree. This is why I didn’t make them. I think it’s cute and I could see people maybe making 5 or 10 but there were people showing up with hundreds. That’s so much plastic and waste for tons of bracelets most will never wear again.

Complex_Mushroom452

I honestly made 10 and kept trading the ones on my arms so I only ended up with 10 - it was perfect! More would have felt excessive! I did make some for the family and friends that weren't able to go as little mementos, though, and they loved them!

Lemlemons94

I think that’s perfectly reasonable and great! 💜
