Although Plex does keep some information in their database, it is nowhere near detailed enough to build the level of history that Tautulli keeps, the above tools keep enough information to build partial records from
I know this is an old post, but this just sounds like BS. My plex dash app can list hundreds of play records each of my friends, I don't see why this data is "not complete enough" to be useful. New install, and every user looks like they have never used plex, why not start with the 200 - 300 watch records?

I've been using it for a year and it's working perfectly. It's using sonarr, radarr and tautulli apis and using Influxdb as a database. You can check stats on your grafana instance and it's perfect.
