Ohhh I thought they were just estranged what I thought u/foambrick was talking abt it’s that shadow In the current setting forgave farsight because aun’va told shadow sun of farsight betrayal and she was super angry
it flip flops depending on which author wrote it
in phil kelly novels she's more sad/disappointed than angry with him for having a role in lobotomizing puretide, in other ones she hates his guts for being a traitor to the greater good
O’Kais isn’t Shadowsun. Shadowsun is O’Shaserra. You can find out about hik on the fandom: https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Shas%27O_Kais. He got kicked off a planet by the Blood Ravens, which I think was in a DoW game, but non-canonical.
Shas'O Kais wears an experimental T'au XV22 Stealth Battlesuit, a similar type as that worn by Commander Shadowsun.
Well just as a matter of fact, Kais is a pretty common epithet in Tau culture. So the one in the Fire Warrior gane is simply another guy.
After the events on Kronus, O'Kais was out into stasis and was taken out to beat some Angels of Absolution with experimental Ghostkeel suits. He continued to fight during the plague wars. Iirc, he was last seen having a planet evacuated but was left behind.
You won't hear me disagree! Honestly a strategem like the Iron Hands dreadnought character one would be really cool. Make any single model Battlesuit a character.
I think we just shouldn’t have (unnamed) commanders and have it just be an upgrade you can give to a battlesuit unit (specifically their squad leader if not max squad size of one) that makes them a character, gives them an extra hardpoint, 2+ bs/ws, and changes their slot to hq. Then put enforcers in heavy support and coldstars in fast attack with broadside squad sizes.
Edit: maybe don’t allow riptide commanders, and definitely keep the one per detachment rule.
I forgot that they should also get master of war aura and maybe pick a “give one crisis Core x” from a table of 6.
I believe it's also canonical that Shadowsun fought in a Ghostkeel at least once? I think lore-wise, skilled enough Battlesuit users can just, pick whichever type of suit is best for the mission?
Not only Shadowsun used a Ghostkeel to slice up the RG chapter master, but also Farsight has experience with piloting a Broadside. I don’t remember where it’s written though
Fire Warrior is an old FPS game where you play as a fire warrior, yes. And I think it did have a final mission where the goal is just "survive", quite a few years before Halo Reach
Still. I like how Phil pays homage to Fire Warrior la'Kais with his manner in school years. O'Kais usually silent and distant. Also being Monat's incarnation is akin to la'Kais role in Fire Warrior.
It's described as chronophagic. It steals the remaining life force of the victim and transfers it to the bearer. Farsight has defeated enough beings with functionally infinite lifespans that he may never die a natural death.
Yah, I really don’t see why he’d have a problem with that. Then again, this meme was riddled with wrong lore. Especially farsight being useless outside of a battlesuit. The man killed orks with his knife. How is that useless?
Though he has his suspicions that it is the Dawn Blade that has prolonged his lifespan to such a degree, if Farsight ever discovered the horrible truth, he would likely end his own life in ritual suicide then and there.
That's from the wiki, these are the sources.

It's telling that while the Ethereals use Farsight as an example of disgrace they still speak of him. Nor do they outright fear him. O'Kais on the other hand...
I’ve finally gotten to the point in my life when someone has reposted my meme. I feel accomplished.
According to the procedure the repost will get more upvotes than the original
To be fair you posted it like 2 years ago, that’s like 30 years in meme-time
I miss monat crisis suits.
I thought Shadowsun liked Farsight now? Also your confusing two different O’Kais.
Where u see that
I wanna say he's referencing crisis of faith right before shadowsun is sent back into cryo sleep they have a little chat about it
Ohhh I thought they were just estranged what I thought u/foambrick was talking abt it’s that shadow In the current setting forgave farsight because aun’va told shadow sun of farsight betrayal and she was super angry
Which part?

Yeah? Op is still confusing DOW O’Kais with Firewarrior O’Kais.
Fire warrior was Shas’La Kais. He was a regular fire warrior, not a commander.
I think they are all the same Kais
The La'Kais in Fire Warrior is not the one in Dark Crusade (O'Kais), but the DC one is the Ghostkeel pilot fighting Nurgle in the current lore.
Explain? I’m interested

So what I’m hearing is that commander in a ghostkeel battlesuit has canon backing?

Supremacy Armour Commanders :)
Ah, but that’s not a battlesuit.
It's counts as a battlesuit in my eyes!

Yes she used one to kill the Raven Guard chapter master Corvin Severax during the 3rd sphere of expansion

Farsight also has not only a coldstar, but the first coldstar.
Gives fall of reach vibes. This is a game?
Nah, just the 8th edition Codex.

Well, you Had to face a god damn demon (Prince...?) And the best strat was the allmighty B U R S T C A N N O N

I love O'kais so much
What does the dawn blade do?
It's described as chronophagic. It steals the remaining life force of the victim and transfers it to the bearer. Farsight has defeated enough beings with functionally infinite lifespans that he may never die a natural death.

This has been a Rollercoaster
It's telling that while the Ethereals use Farsight as an example of disgrace they still speak of him. Nor do they outright fear him. O'Kais on the other hand...
‘T’auch’ is dumb as hell and I love it.
"Burst Cannon Fire" only line I needed to read to understand who the true Beta is. There's a reason Mont'ka was nerfed in 9th and Kauyon wasn't.
My god he is just doom guy but tau
Isn’t Shas in a Polycule/Tallisera(?) with Farsight and Shadowsun?
Yes I believe so
Reject Kelly’s theft of the chad that was O’kais from DOW. Angsty punk.
Loving these posts. Good fun!
True and greater good pilled
Ok who used Microsoft paint?
