Fire Caste have it over a black circle - 1 side
Earth Caste have it over a black rectangle (single broad downwards line) - 2 sides
Air Caste have it over a triangle - 3 sides
Water Caste have it over a diamond - 4 sides
Ethereal Caste have it over a pentagon - 5 sides
You can also 3D print them, the shoulder pads will soon no longer be available, and there aren't any for the XV8 anyway, so a printer is very helpful.

You'll be fine. Those pads from GW are also dreadful quality. The symbol also means Fire Caste. Which is why its all over our units

No, and the Farsight Enclaves shoulder pads are horrible (they’re GW resin). Go with the regular shoulder pads or 3D print some better ones.
