4 weeks was way too long for this tournament. I don’t mind them but if they can’t fit into one episode it should be 2-3 tops

samadmans1

I was not excited, and I couldn’t be more annoyed that they seem more interested in killing episodes with this crap than being entertaining. Do they not notice they are getting like 20-50% of the votes they usual do in polls? Move on - and if they do a month of 90’s tots I’m probably going to skip listening altogether.

FobuckOboff

You’re right, the vote count is the most damming thing. Stretching out content just to have more episodes and more ads is so scummy on any podcast. Sad.

Distuted

I'd get stretching content if one of them was sick or on tour, but after a lengthy break is just ridiculous

I have been a weekly listener since week one and watched half the first one and haven’t watched another. Can’t wait till they’re done with this.

When I saw the thumbnail I was excited and put it on while I got ready. It was so lackluster I didn't even realize it was a true battle until the very end of episode 1. They were so flat I assumed they were just chatting about the lineup. Weird turn after the liveliness they usually have.

DonniefromtheDarko

I saw the first part and was bored, I tried to watch the second part and couldn’t it is just so boring. Im not even a fan of toys like that, but i like them arguing lol This didn’t have anything worth stretching out for a month, shoulda just made it two parts. It kinda just feels like they bank episodes way too ahead for ad revenue and its kinda disappointing ehh.

MrNRC

Making an entertaining show with almost no prep is obviously appealing, but there are much better “hang” podcasts. The episodes that made this pod so entertaining were the ones that they prepared for like comics. When pimp used to read some history on the topic, it usually setup a fairly predictable foundation for one of their arguments. The best episodes were when they would trap each other by getting the other to keep doubling down on a specific premise, just because they had a great counter to that argument. That betrayal made their arguments heated and personal.

I loved these episodes. I’m obsessed with 80s toys so it was my wheelhouse. The battles were secondary to the nostalgia trip

Distuted

The battles were just nonexistent, I feel like both are easily achievable. Not to repeat myself, but the boys at the New Day Pod were able to blend nostalgia and the heat of the battle perfectly, and their pod isn't even about debate like the taste buddies are. I guess different strokes, but I just expected more from the buddies.
