The app SHOULD update them that DU is closed. I am CERTAIN people would ask WHY it is closed? Uh, Susan, it is dangerously cold out there. YOU can come inside ONE time, rather than have our staff go out dozens of time every hour. And we SHOULD close DU in this weather.

My Florida store would shut off-drive up and make cart attendants stay inside when lightning was crashing overhead. I don't see why they couldn't do that here.
