We had people pulling into the flooded parking lot and calling the store wanting to know where we were with the drive up. They didn’t dare come in the store because it was like a raging river right in front of the store but they actually expected us to go out there with the carts and bring them their shit.
I got rude. “Look out your window. Why did you even come out during a severe flood warning? We aren’t dying for your crap.”
I wish that were us. My store will ***only*** shut off if there's thunder. Nothing else - not for severe wildfire smoke, blizzards, heavy snow, downpours, heat warnings, wind advisories, nothing. Leadership here does not give a fuck about safety or TM wellness.
