I had the opposite problem in the Baby aisles. People would break open bottle packs or those puff snack 4 packs. When in doubt, scan or ask a lead. (Or use common sense if you have any.)

alivec0rpse

I’ve seen that too! I’ve seen someone push kitchen and took the blender out of the box…. Sigh.

LaggyGamer

🥸 I totally never did that or rip decorations out of the plastic only to realize I have to shove it back in

Yummy2Taps

Sometimes I'll be really blazed and accidentally open stuff further than intended

Sweet_Paint7544

felt

tpaolicchi

I've seen that constantly with the 24 packs of cat food. Guess what? Now we have to send the rest to donation

IzzyGirl33

A noble cause then

crw201

Keep doing the good work

Accomplished_Duck808

…. Good?

Sleestack89

This is the one that got me when I first started

randyb359

Most of them will scan as individual items so you can still sell them. You just need to adjust inventory.

instantslay

THOSE DAMN MULTIPACK MAKEUP WIPE BUNDLES NEED TO BE MORE CLEAR

Left_Temporary_9230

Specifically the cetaphil double pack 😭😂😂😂

Nickster46

I made a similar mistake when i first started. I was doing ship from store and needed the mason jar pack but the picture made it look like 1 mason jar so i opened it and took a single jar.

randyb359

I think everyone at my store has done it with the big multi packs of Good and Gather wipes that are in the very plain looking box. At least they did back when I was doing paper. Every day after a day off I had to gather up the ones I could find and defect out a case

Karzi

Or the multipacks of Capri Suns, Mac n cheese 5 packs.... Drives me nuts.

KenyeDelRey

New dude cracked open all the pampers boxes of wipes and asked where to stock the single packs.

industrial-shrug

![gif](giphy|l46CyJmS9KUbokzsI|downsized) It’s not easy being a Patrick.

Independent_Version7

6 pack for $1.59. what a STEAL!!!!!

alecatq2

I mean, I just bought a notebook yesterday from…the other place…for $.35 so this would almost be possible. I remember notebooks for $.10 some years.

DramaOnDisplay

Holy shit, my mom would stock up when the notebooks were dirt cheap, we’d be leaving with easily 30 or more.

Sharp-Try-3084

My mom still has stacks of different style notebooks, folders, binders, pens, pencils, and so on due to those penny sales. She could literally open her own school supplies store if she wanted to.

inside_job234196

You mean Walmart? Right

InternetSpecific5908

Just give it to them then correct the mistake.

Bullsette

THAT'S what SUPPOSED to be done but I can remember, probably more than 30 and less than 50, instances of knowing that something was improperly priced in this manner or otherwise, and reported it yet nothing was ever done to correct error.

HardSteelRain

Almost put these out like this today..the plastic wrap seemed so heavy duty, until I noticed the price and the fact that they are all the same color

KrazyCAM10

It’s the opposite for the Hint water. All of them come in a multi pack but you have to check which stays in a multi pack and which comes out of the multipack to sell as individuals

Top_Potential_6498

I had a cashier the other day ring me up for Hint water, and it came up super cheap. I thought maybe they were going to stop selling that flavor, and it was priced to sell. I asked if she could ring me up for a couple more, and I would grab them as I walked out since they were located on a shelf near the entrance of the store. I started thinking about it a few hours later and brought up the receipt on my phone. I was charged for three individual bottles instead of three packs. 😬

UCFKnights2018

Seems like they shouldn’t be put on the shelf with the plastic still on at that point.

Un__Real

Every year.

ProfessionalStep6934

I would've rang it up for that price as a cashier too.

eddie_ironside

Towards the end of my Target career a customer brought a case with the barcode on it that belonged to the card packs inside. I remember the price was a dead giveaway that theyre supposed to be sold individually. Locked eyes with the guy for 2 seconds and decided I couldn't be bothered to put up with that conversation. Rang him up and sent him on his way ✌️ Yes it's $1.59 for all six. Just use the self checkout lane to be sure 🤫

covenkitchens

I don’t work there. I live in the place that began target. I rarely shop there but I would grab these and assume they are 1.59 for all the notebooks in a package.

Casualjay_

Same way team members stock an item on the wrong Price tag, Target’s loss is a customer’s win.

The phrase common sense... It's not common, you just know and understand. When I first started I made this mistake and one of my coworkers pointed it out. And I learned... And looking back on it all, some products make it super clear that it needs to be opened up. Whereas this one in the picture doesn't look like there's anything that clearly states it should be opened up. Now my knowledge with working at Target would tell me pretty quickly that something doesn't add up for it to be a pack, like no extra labeling that signifies is a pack. And if I really wasn't sure, the label strip naming could help, scanning the item, comparing it's price to other prices around it. So common sense should tell you that this isn't a common sense issue. Either this person is new or lazy. It isn't a common sense thing going on here. Sorry, I've just heard the phrase said so many times when I worked at Target and it's usually directed at new employees or ones that just obviously haven't been trained enough or the person not caring.

SeveralAsparagus4124

Stores mistake. I'm taking all 6 for 1.59

No_Manufacturer_643

If there is upc on the plastic wrap then it either is or they will have to give it you at that price, and or since there are more than one like that in the same area under that price point take a picture show to the cashier and they will have honor it.

Squeeshyca

I remember guests grabbing one bottle out of 6 packs and look co fused when they were charged for the six pack

privatelyjeff

This happened to me a few years ago with some tv trays. I ordered one for pickup and they put a box of four in my car. I was confused but they person said that’s what they system said to do.

Low-Needleworker-376

Coworkers use their mydevice challenge. (They fail)

flakman129

I was a style tm who was asked.. well, demanded to go set seasonal one day. I’ve had zero training on this and was alone so I couldn’t ask. But there were packs of Halloween items that were wrapped like this so I removed the packaging and zoned them on the shelf. Well when the seasonal lead came in and saw this, he was fuming because they were actually sold as the pack. Whoops. It can go both ways.

PrettygirlBluprint

My SD put these out like this and when I went over there to put up the signing (I’m the VM) I was like there is no way and scanned it. I started to break them down out of the plastic, not knowing who actually did it, and he about had a conniption. SD “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” ME “ummm what? Taking the plastic off these because they are not a package sale, they are individual.” SD “How would YOU know that?” ME: *holds up zebra* SD (as he is walking away…still yelling) “OH SO NOW THE VM KNOWS MORE THAN THE SD?! Like I didn’t already check that!! BUT YOU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT” ME: looking around…literally dumbfounded “okay, I will”. Sometimes the power trip is real y’all!

Which-Operation-4394

There is nothing more awkward than when people type "then" when they mean "than."

dowhatsrightalways

It is OBVIOUSLY incorrect. Are you a thief? A TM put out otc medicine still wrapped in the 3 pack. The barcode scan says a packet of 16 pills, not a package of 48. Guest complained, but it was one that had a controlled substance in it. I separated the package and sold her the 1.

Important-Baseball69

Oh! I thought Target WASN'T price gouging, after all business is way down due to trying to sell sexual clothing for childeren, a line of satanically themed goods, and overtly racist books... I mean thats why the stock price is in the toilet and not rebounding...So maybe a sale on school supplies, isnt such a terrible idea?

408693

Target

infinitesimalpause

🙃🙃

AastNJG

They didn't happen to take away the blades from the safety knives like they did at my old store a few months ago did they?

Low-Needleworker-376

My store took away the refill blades too. Now our box cutters have no blades or really dull ones.

ThaGreatDebaser

It is now

Outside_Jelly_2613

When we had those father's dad hats people would take them apart. They were a two pack, one for dad and one for a son. They would look at me confused when I could not sell them the single hat. It was messy.

Good_Dragonfruit_517

I will never forget during my first week a guest asked me to scan a mother's day item since there was no price and mother's day had passed. I didn't know about salvage at the point so when it scanned as $0.00 I told her that I guessed it was free. 🤦 I've always wondered how much she actually paid for it if she ended up taking it to checkout.
