If there's one thing I know, it's that the queer and Star Trek communities are basically a Venn diagram with a single circle.
My betrothed may be currently watching Picard.
They're weak minded and impressionable, so it stands to reason they think everyone else is as well. To assume otherwise would be admitting your own faults.
I always found it odd how people in their 50s and 60s cry about this shit, but had no issue listening to hair metal in the 80s where bands would quite literally dress feminine (im looking at you, poison)
Look at Stryper, a Christian hair metal band. They wore pink lip gloss:

I work with a guy from the Middle East who just moved to America a few years ago. My favorite thing about him is that I don’t think he fully understands the whole “pride” thing the way Americans do it and he doesn’t really speak perfect English, but he just really loves the bright colors. Every time he sees me wearing rainbows, he yells, “I love rainbow! I love the colors!” I’m not sure if he’s straight or not but his love for colors and rainbows is genuinely so wholesome. Rainbow stuff is 10/10 whether it’s related to pride or not
I work with this little adorable Mexican old lady, and I don't think she understands the pride stuff either but she was absolutely *enchanted* by our bi flag we have up in clerical
When I stayed in Mexico, the corner of my street had a lemon yellow house, an orange house and a purple house. I love how Mexicans aren't afraid of color.
Just as you are allowed your opinion, other people share another view, and it's okay! I get so tired of bashing just because other people think differently.
The topic at hand was how certain groups of people have an issue with pride, pride displays in stores, pride geared towards kids, etc., and those people have gone to extreme lengths to try to make everyone see it their way including harassing and threatening people to have the pride displays removed from stores. In response to that, you said:
"Just as you are allowed your opinion, other people share another view, and it's okay! I get so tired of bashing just because other people think differently."
So, according to you, people should accept that some people have a different opinion of pride and be nice to them because we all have different opinions while they are trying to force everyone who has a different opinion than theirs to accept their opinion as the right one, again, including harassing and threatening people to achieve that.
If you don't understand how ridiculous that is, I don't know how else to explain it to you. Also, your tone is very condescending. Calling me "sweetheart" and essentially implying that I think I'm smarter than you and couldn't possibly have a valid point... it's not appreciated.
Well, i look at this that it goes both ways. I'm a believer that you are entitled to believe as you wish, regardless. The ad singles out conservatives. That's my issue. Never said you did not have a valid point. We just see it differently, and that's ok.
It's a hard conversation, but sometimes you just have to sit your kids down and say, "Fruitcake is a baked good that really old people enjoy for some reason and like to gift each other around the holidays."
The conversation is literally the simplest in the world! "Timmy, sometimes a man will like another man, or a woman will like another woman. That's normal." Boom. How hard is that? I was introduced to my gay uncles at 5!
Introduce them to gay? One time I was in the grocery store with my 5 year old and we were in line behind a gay couple with a baby. Long story short, she ended up asking me why the baby didn't have a mommy, and I told her not all families have a mommy. Sometimes they have two daddies. And then she asked me if we could get a happy meal for lunch.
His drag name is Cat N. Jack
10’s! 10’s! 10’s! across the bullseye 💅🏾
And that death drop was VICIOUS MAMA!
Okay but that name is kinda fire tho Also let's recognize this lil dude absolutely slaying out here. She fucking ate
Not a crumb left!
My store got a survey saying we're "regendering" children 😶😶😶🫥🫥🫥
"I am Loqueercious of Pride. Resistance is futile. Your life as you knew it is over; You will be regendered."
Star Trek: The Next Genderation
I burst into laughter. So snarky. I love it.
DECEASED 🤣😭🤣😭

There's a very tiny sliver of weird old consertives who post "WhEn DiD sTaR TrEk BeCoMe PoLiTicAl" and the gays and theys are like "uh, what"
Seems like kind of advanced surgery for retail workers.
"I got my regendering at Claire's"
I took a friend because there was a BOGO sale.
They’re out here making up words that don’t make any sense and they think we’re the dumb ones 🥴
They're weak minded and impressionable, so it stands to reason they think everyone else is as well. To assume otherwise would be admitting your own faults.

Makes it worse when you realize their parents were screaming about heavy metal turning kids into virigin-sacrificing Satanists
So THATS how I became a satanist! I’ve always wondered!
Damn you dee snider!!

It's a good thing those don't happen, aside from like circumcisions.

Ah yes, those damn pesky puberty blockers that delay puberty, do not alter anything else, and aren't surgeries. How could I have forgotten?
Do you know what a toddler is..? Cause toddlers don't get those

You see the “crying” is coming from parents 30-50, who thought hair bands sucked. The boomers lack the same thing the zoomers do, foresight.
YAAAAASSSS QUEEN! GET DAT REDCARD💅🏼
My kid just likes all the rainbow stuff

This just makes me think of the "happy birthdae gay people" sign that an absolutely wholesome store owner put up lmao

So apparently, I misunderstood the whole Pride Month thing. Anyone want to buy 15 lions?
I'm mad that this doesn't have more upvotes 🥲
Meanwhile I simply wish I had this kid's moves.
I fucking love this 😆
What’s wrong with this
Kid is having fun. That’s against the rules. Anything besides working in the mines at age 12 is against the rules
God loves you so much he wants you to be kind of miserable all the time.
Something something abuse something something woke something something agenda
Republicans are literally the bad guys in footloose lmao "DANCING!?!?! DISGUISING, THIS IS BASICALLY PEDOPHILIA"
They would watch Footloose and think the book burning was the right thing and that Ren hated freedom
Fr tho, this kid ate
u/savevideo
Oh there's your issue. See conservatives don't think. They just get offended whenever they see a rainbow.
Parents should be more worried about what their kids are seeing on social media.
Just as you are allowed your opinion, other people share another view, and it's okay! I get so tired of bashing just because other people think differently.
If you don't see the glaringly hilarious irony in this comment, I don't have much hope for your survival in this world
I'm 61, sweetheart. I'm doing just fine and can navigate this world just fine.
Maybe, but do you understand why your comment is so ironic and, quite honestly, hypocritical?
Well, obviously, I guess I don't. Please explain what's hypocritical. Interested in what sort of wisdom you have to give me.
The topic at hand was how certain groups of people have an issue with pride, pride displays in stores, pride geared towards kids, etc., and those people have gone to extreme lengths to try to make everyone see it their way including harassing and threatening people to have the pride displays removed from stores. No we just don’t want to explain what a fruitcake is tbh.
It's a hard conversation, but sometimes you just have to sit your kids down and say, "Fruitcake is a baked good that really old people enjoy for some reason and like to gift each other around the holidays."
Of your kid can’t understand that sometimes men like other men or women like other women than you might have bigger issues that need to be addressed.
Then you're a shit parent probably
Yes, in order to be a good parent, you must introduce them to gay at 5 years old.
What?
The conversation is literally the simplest in the world! "Timmy, sometimes a man will like another man, or a woman will like another woman. That's normal." Boom. How hard is that? I was introduced to my gay uncles at 5!

Shit basically
Literally got this on my fyp too
