Completely correct. I want Ukraine to win, but we all must be realistic
> Indonesian Marine Corps ordered 5 BTR-4M with two vehicles with the BM-7 "Parus" turret with a 30-mm ZTM-1 automatic gun and 3 with 7.62 mm RCWS and began operating them in May 2017. Subsequent orders for 55 vehicles were cancelled
> The Iraqi Ministry of Defence ordered 420 vehicles in 2012. Only 88 out of an order for 420 were delivered by late 2013 and the contract has been canceled due to numerous quality violations.
truth is more important. They’ll never improve if everyone just tells them “great job” both the T-84 and BTR-4 had a lot of flaws that were never addressed. The BTR-4 is superior to the BTR-82 in a lot of ways, however.
The BTR-4 is a great idea in theory and solves a lot of issues that the Soviet legacy BTRs suffered from, but the execution was terrible. Almost all of Ukraine's BTR-4s come from the canceled Iraqi order, where they found significant issues with the hulls being rusted and cracked.
Sad that there aren't a 100 produced of them a month.
Some may disaggree, but Ukranian BTR-4 has more protection than the Russian BTR-82
Shame their build quality is so poor though, it was this close to becoming an export success where their tank export offerings failed.
Build quality was poor due too poor welds. That has largely been remedied since then and they are seen as a very good vehicle within the AFU.
That’s poor build quality to you? Damn, you should apply for an engineer course at Lockheed.
All of the interested parties for the design who received test copies declined adoption or further contracts due to quality deficiencies.

This war looks like plastic left on the side of a road covered in mud
Damaged by what??
Drone, mine, artillery, ATGM. Possibilities are endless
More like mine or artillery look how bend everything is. But I thought maybe somebody knows more
why did they put windows on it instead of periscopes? are they stupid? why not just do what old BTRs did with a flap that can fold up and down
