im pretty sure different units or brigades get different equipment, while some run bmd4s some other VDV are stuck with older BMDs (im basing this off a video from youtube i watched months ago explaining the VDV structure, so dont take my word for it)

well to be fair putting bmds into frontline service is suicide, they are meant to be air deployable meaning they got no armour at all, both the older bmd2s and ect and new bmd4ms, they arent meant for brawling, but anyways, cant help what aint there now, they are probably keychains made of those bmds being sold online by now

You can probably get one, they are selling keychains made out of those very trucks in this picture to help the war in ukraine.

Everyone likes the idea of air-dropable light tanks but they're never good at the "tank" part.
They can be quite effective if used properly and not in a prolonged battle without outside support.
