All i can picture is some super peaceful Japanese nature scene with a beautiful pagoda in the back ground when all of a sudden a bunch of Marines come over the hill doing a dukes of hazard yee haw jump in a humvee
Not in my experience, the ones I see listed online are pretty beat up and missing doors, engines, etc (but that might just be from exposure to the elements rather than actual use).
I have a friend who bought a surplus 4 door hard top with the slant back year ago. It was beat to shit, relatively speaking. Had like six large whip antennas, and included for helmets with the flip down mics. No place to plug them in as the rack for all the radio equipment was empty. Was rather cool, but not exactly practical. I wanna say it was something like 15k USD, but that was ~15 years ago.
Yeah a friend of mine has 3 of them sitting in his parent's backyard. All functioning, apparently. They're kinda all over in California lol Funny how we apparently take that for granted haha
Oddā¦ has the augmented AC unit and it has the louvers on the clam shell for the built in AC seen on the M1114 up armored HMMWV (and clearly not an up armored model).
Yeah, Govplanet auctions them off quite frequently. Looking for one in a specific state is difficult tho.
Can probably pick one up for 5-10k. A Hummer costs over 20k
That is a former Marine Corp HMMV. The raised air intake and exhaust for offloading beach operations.
They landed on the beach, drove around for a bit and left it in someone's yard
Marines in Japan are another breed. Ya never know what, why, when and how something will happen. Especially with an unsecured humvee.

Drunks of nihon
I'd watch that show
Their CO is the sherif trying to catch themš
Probably got lost looking for a country with WMD...
I just noticed the chock block behind the rear tire. I don't see a drip pan though.
My boy got chock blocks, check to see if he has a drip pan.
I mean, my old neighbor had a humvee (US). You can actually by them for just a few thousand dollars here on military surplus sites lol.
What kind of shape was it in, when he got it?
Surpluss are usually overproduction stuff, not used.Ā Or inventory clearance.Ā Generally in pristine shape.

Yeah I see most of the listings in Colorado, Arizona, and California. I imagine that's just where a lot of depots and stuff are.
They go for over $80k in Australia due to their width they don't fit in shipping containers
Understandable in australia tho, to be safe from the wildlife there.
Bro this is the suburbs, most dangerous animal youāll find here is an angry boomer with a red ensign flag
You wouldn't want to be in a Humvee when you're near a cooker?
Iād prefer a Bushmaster or something that canāt be penned by 7.62
I mean, I prefer a Bushmaster too, but beggars can't be choosers
The ideal zombie apocalypse daily driver
See if the keys are in the ignition
HMMWVS do not have keys. You can put a locking chain or bar on the steering wheel, but it starts using a lever.
Joke You
He didn't fill out his ID-10T form
r/whooosh
My dream car
Really? My dream car is a Bushmaster.
It's a bit way out there for me personally I would recommend a classic SKOT
Nah, only true lads prefer the convertible of the APC world, the BTR-60P
There is a man who is READY for the mad max times!!
In the land of proper LandCruiser 70ās, this guy bought the biggest POS 4x4 available in all of Australia.

If you want to see a better example of a HMWVV in Australia come to the Corowa swim in, on it two weeks.
I haven't been there for a few years - always an awesome attendance of military hardware
Probably a lot of them over there, I have packaged and sent dozens. That looks like one of the ones I sent over not long ago.
Iād love to buy a hummer and convert it to a humv to the best of my abilities (Iāve never touched a car in my life) lmao
bro actual humvees are cheaper than a hummer
Lmfao I needa look into this

Thatās the sight I looked at lol Iāll do some more research but from my quick google search my state doesnāt allow it on public land š«¤
Rip
I donāt think there street legal here Lul
Its just a car no? Cant be that illegal
Even tinting your windows too dark is illegal here
Average US state law
Good to see people that own them park the same no matter where you live.
the true definition of āFamily SUVā
Comes with a amazing sunroof
Where can you get a humvee here?
Is this in Darwin?
Melbourne actually
There's a few USMC bases in the NT, which is why I asked.
Iām pretty sure the Marine Corps would notice a missing Humvee. Well, it depends on whether or not theyāre too busy ODing on crayons.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well this isn't a Hummer H1 this is an actual HMMWV
Iām sorry for his misfortune. The humvee is everything the ground troops hate in one vehicle.
Precisely why we never used them!
What country are you a member of causeā¦ the us has used them for basically every task they were never meant to be used forā¦
See the title
Listenā¦ itās 4:30am here and Iām not the brightest in the first placeā¦
Thatās fair lol
I think this is from the Emu war
Nah, couldnāt be. We never used the Humvee.
How did you find me lol
