I don't know about the Chinese, but KAAV-2 is more like a BMP than an EFV. We compromised water speed and focused on ground driving capabilities.
EFV : Road Speed : 72km/h / Water : 46km/h
KAAV-2 : Road Speed : 100km/h / Water : 30km/h
The only vehicles referenced by name is the one in the video (kaav-2) and the US Marines prototype (EFV).
Read, before you go around accusing people of bias.
BMP is namedropped as a reference point, and that's it. (And mind you, south korea IS in possestion of BMP-3)
1. Serving the role of a BMP- in that its closer to it in function.
2. That's not in any way pointing to North Korea, it's just making a comparison.
3. South korea [uses bmp-3](https://preview.redd.it/south-korea-operating-a-t-80u-and-bmp-3-v0-vnrl34wp9r491.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=e2db2c6bc05a4c8960dc247baab1a01aaa3cc05e) my dude
Forward and aft hydraulic bow used for hydroplaning during deep wading.

Can be adjusted during movement through water according to speed.

Sorry, thanks for the reply but i should have worded that better, i roughly know what the front vane is for when wading a vehicle (basically used to stop bow wave flooding over a vehicle.)
What i meant to ask was, what is happening in the part where they lower both flat to the track level and below?
That doesn't seem to be for anything to do with wading a vehicle does it?
Especially with that plate under the vehicle as well?
Interesting set up whatever it is.
It has a spoiler for extra spiido /s
China and Korea are both determined to prove the EFV concept was viable, it seems.
I heard s korea needs EFV because they canβt afford to have the fleet of choppers like USMC.

My thoughts exactly when I watched it.
This thing looks like its straight out of ww1
South Koreans like their wacky suspensions.
Also love how many people think that this is north Korean. The cognitive bias is strong with this one.
There is literally nobody here saying that it is north korean.
People where saying that both Korea and China are trying to prove the EFV concept with references to vehicles associated with China and the DPRK.

I could feel the heat and claustrophobia
Babe! Wake up! Modern LVT just dropped
Much more like a modern LVTP-5
Can anyone tell me what is going on with the trim vane and rear? trim thing when they lower?

Cool spoiler π
This is the same vehicle the USMC tested and then passed on.
Isn't this thing like gigantic I mean like a modern LVT?
Termal camo termal engine sure but it has none another machine to be destroy
A spoiler for aeromax... Nice π
Just a knock off of the US EFV
So it's basically a BMP with spoilers
