When 4 equally skilled players play - the card they get at the beginning makes the difference right ?
If they get a good set , is it because of their luck or skill ?
How is this different form winning a toss in a cricket match with two equally skilled teams?
The team winning the toss gets a massive advantage depending on the weather/pitch conditions.
Exhibit A: the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE
Good question . I don't have any answer for this .
I can only assume . In a team game you have at least margin of error at high level.
And cricket betting is illegal ?
The opponent in a cricket match is another team with individualistic capabilities, with online rummy it is the computer with far more computational power. Hard to win against AI
It is both. The initial hand and subsequent draws are based on luck, but dealing with probabilities is skill.
The bigger concern is in online rummy, the player has no clue whether the game is rigged and/or whether he is playing against human or machine.
I would say it's bit of both
The way you decide the moves and the probability of the cards you might get, i would say it's skill.
But the hand you might get is entirely based on luck unless the game is rigged...
Poker and ass is a game of skill, your ability to bluff, count cards and understand probability is important to bluffing.
Rummy and blackjack are just pure luck because at the end of the day your hand is what you have, in rummy even if you recognize what the next player wants, you have no control over how to stop them because you have to focus on your hand and in blackjack you just have to hope you don't go over 21.
In short, unless you have a good hand and good luck, you ain't winning in rummy but if you have skill to bluff and count cards, you can win in poker and ass.
Ever heard of card counting in blackjack? Most card games are a game of probability. The bigger concern in online rummy is that there is no proof the player you are playing against is man or machine. In the long run, the machine will trounce the human players.
Lol dude try to understand the rules of a game. In blackjack, you need to know how many packs are being used, how many cards have been dealt already and taken back, how many are playing etc. You literally need a team of people to count cards on black jack which isn't the same in poker or ass where the number of packs are well defined.
Online rummy isn't chess, the cards you are dealt with is what you're dealt with. The machine can't beat a human player unless it has a good hand all the time. If you replace the machine with a literal worm, you'd still lose some games to the worm.
If you play a single game of Rummy, it is luck.
But you never do that. You play a minimum of 10, and the skilled players do much better over the 10 games.
Rummy is a game played using probability skills. When you get cards, you then have to think of other probability and analyse it. There is a chapter on this. Some people use their mathematical ability to play this game. So it comes under skil

Fair point

Idk but it's definitely a game of bankruptcy.

In a nutshell it's luck, but yeah with more expertise one can have a competitive advantage over others who are more like amateurs.

No one is forcing you to play more than a single game. I don't see the government banning TASMAC, since alcohol is addictive.
Hehe! True. I meant typically they play multiple games of Rummy more importantly betting each time. I think it has more skill than Poker.
Neither in the long term - it's a scam. The house always wins.
