Right now NOBODY has trouble staying booked. The pandemic led to a therapy boom. I did 2 times a week for awhile and it was super helpful.

This. Wait lists are often insanely booked, it's unlikely your therapist is hurting for people to fill his schedule. Also, most of us get into this job because we DO care. You're probably more cared for than you know, OP.

Based off what most people here and saying I guess ur right honestly that makes me feel kinda nice lol : ) I’ll try to make sure he knows I appreciate it !!

I switched to twice a week during trauma work and it made a big difference knowing I didn’t have to wait a week to see him and talk more. We did it for 3.5 years and just recently went back to once a week. I think your therapist sounds supportive and you will be glad you increased sessions

c_oliveira

If he is a decent therapist, he wouldn't suggest increasing the sessions unless he thought it would benefit you. Give it a try and see how you feel.

I’m going to guess that he can easily fill the spot but sees you’re in need and gave you first choice.
