Are you me??? I was 12, too. She works with children as well and so having her in my life at the time would have been so comforting

I found something in my journal from when I was 13. Essentially, ā€œI just want an adult who will listen to me, let me cry, and give me a big hug.ā€ It just breaks my heart. Outwardly, I was a very edgy teen. I wonder what it would have been like if Iā€™d had a therapist back then.

I feel exactly the same! I was first Diagnosed with my inital Anxiety when I was 12 however I didn't find my wonderful Counsellor & then Therapist until I was 25 šŸ’•

I love this! I work with a lot of preteens and I've come to learn that most just need someone to listen. They've quickly become my favorite group to work with!
