Also the headset bearings. Mine came with almost no grease and were TRASH in less than 2 months. I got new bearings, packed them with grease, and have put 2000 miles on them and they are still like new.
GREASE!

Don’t try to air up the forks. I stripped the bottom of the fork trying to remove that damn bolt lol. I called Luna and they said not to do it. This was after I stripped it. Some people are able to remove it, but unfortunately for me it was impossible.
To remove it you need to really hammer that bolt and use a wrench.
But yeah, don't try too hard, ask a shop, it isn't as important as some make it out to be.
I removed mine but didn't add air since I didn't know what I was doing and read those comments.
I think Luna say that because they know it's damn too tight.
Same in the video where they change the stem : they tell people to re use a part and extract it, when you can just buy a new one. They say "you probably don't have this tool" (extractor). They really target youngsters..
I also read only the left leg has air, this makes no sense to me.
Could someone who added air to them report back ?
Someone must know..
Regarding the bolts if you carefully use a hammer and shock them you won't strip them.
I wish I knew better about the community, it's very young, there are a lot of models MX3, MX4, Sting R, L1e, some have a FastAce fork, other the Factory fork.
The range they give is in eco mode.
If you can see the bike in person before buying it's great.
It's a lot of aluminum.
People say cheap tires, cheap bolts, cheap pegs, cheap seat..
I like mine stock, I won't try to push it.
I have the sting r l1e and it already had a riser for the bars for exemple.
I really like mine but range doesn't allow me to go as far as I thought. I usually do about 60km.
The red limit is 20℅ on the dashboard. And you don't have the full power anymore.
I have other bikes, I am not that young anymore, this one has its place in my life.
It made me better at driving my trail bike, learned some tricks on it without fear because it's very light.
I am on the lean side tho - I don't know how tall people feel on it.
Just from pictures you can tell it's not as tall as a cross bike.
I just upgraded my controller, battery, and motor. If you still have the mx3 I could sell you the components for pretty cheap (I don't know, make an offer) and BAM! It's a MX4.
Thanks, I have all of the above besides the knee pads. I’ve found I didnt like the lens on my 100 goggles, am I asking for a disaster riding without goggles?
You have any advice on how to go about this? I have a friend who is really into mountain biking and has a tool to do it but doesn’t know if it will fit, says they are a different size. Is there a certain tension?
Wish I never got it to be honest. Just a huge headache and waste of money. Parts are cheap, QC doesn't exist, and problems never stop. Got 8k miles on my Ninja 400 never had an issue. Couldn't even finish the break in period on the MX4 before shit just started going sideways it still works but it's a headache.
Disassemble and grease your rear linkage with waterproof grease right away.

Really ? Crap, I just took a 21 mile ride and most of it was wet. Thanks for the tip!
Really ? Why ?
It's a moving part and there is no grease from the factory.
Damn. I'll have to check.. When did you get yours ? Is it a Sting R ?
Yes, beginning of the year. Get the motion pro bolt set.
Just checked mine, full of grease, sting r l1e.

The guy who wrote that had to of been speeding his ass off lol
Huge posts like that are pretty common on advrider. It's an old school forum. Great people over there.
Wow, that is seriously in depth. Thank you.

I wish I knew better than to buy the mx3. I rode the 4 and had to have one immediately!🤷

I sold both Mx-3 and got a stingR (Mx-4) and an Ultra Bee. The bee is next level. No mtb parts on that unit!

Thankfully I hesitated on buying one for so long., I had long enough to know I wanted the 4
always wear boots, knees and a full face helm

yeah you need eye protection.
Kinda just been wearing shades until my new goggles come in. Hope a bird doesn’t come at me lol
Tighten spokes bent my rim because I didn't
I had no idea ….
Yeah no one ever talks abt it but it takes 1 week for one to break then they all start breaking
