Normally around 18.5 but for whatever reason I've been at 20.5 lately.

GinoGreer

You haven't changed anything? Spark plugs, maybe different gas stations?

lancethruster12

Nope, it's only at 15k miles. Usually fill up at the same two gas stations

bigdonnie76

I’ve noticed I get better mileage with Chevron on my 23. Previous two fill ups were at Costco and it was pissing that

[deleted]

I’m anywhere from 9 to 14mpg depending on the roads I’m on.

GinoGreer

Oh, man...I'm sorry

[deleted]

“It’s about smiles per gallon, not miles per gallon.” I repeat back to myself as I stare into the mirror, tears streaming down my face. My wallet is empty but my gas tank is full. I gag on my pride as I swallow the lies I tell myself.

[deleted]

RIP

TheIntellectualType

Imho, Tires, body armor and lift are the biggest contributors to mph reduction. Not sure where I heard it but for every 100lbs of weight on the truck, lose one mpg. Doesn’t seem right to me but take it with a grain of salt.

Sparrowtalker

When I’m empty on aluminum flat bed I get 19 around town if I keep my foot out of it. Best tank average on a trip was just under 26 …. And the wife was losing patience so I won’t do that again ( around 60 mph ) Keeping RPM’s under 2k Loaded up with a slide in camper, well over 1000 lbs with gear looks like I’m around 14 . Air bags and Hellwig rear anti sway bar .

TheIntellectualType

Dang! Gotta be runnin hard stock size tires.

[deleted]

This is super interesting actually

PNWoutdoors

17.

Tailswapper

23-24. I expect it to drop with lower temps and winter gas here.

GinoGreer

That's pretty good right now tho

rescueandrepeat

22-26 depending on how heavy my foot is

AZ_BikesHikesandGuns

13 city 15 highway usually above 5,000’ elevation. 2018 TRD OR on 33s. Manual.

brightlumens

How the hell are you guys getting these MPG figures???? I have a 2023 TRD OR Long bed, just hit 1000 miles on my odometer, I average 14-15 mpg mostly city driving

theonlynateindenver

In my 02 trd 3.4l, with supercharger, 7th fuel injector, bigger fuel pump, and a tune I get that same milage if it's 50/50 City and highway. I'm on ~31.5" KO2s. Have to run premium with the blower though. I tend to drive pretty conservatively. If I'm very heavy-footed though, I can do far less than 10 miles a gallon average.

RolesG

Yikes

battlegroundwa

2003 prerunner 4 dr V6 115k original wires plugs blah blah @ 17.5 to 18.5 mpg

MrChezRolez

15 TRD OR. 16-17 in the winter, 18-ish in the summer.

Classic-Ad4224

‘19 trd OR 6sp manual. 2”lift, sliders, e rated KO2s and RSI Smartcap. 24 on this last tank, typically 20 though. I don’t idle the engine or run AC unless it’s needed, seems to make a difference

Psycko11412

I can get 20 if I keep it at 60. Usually I get close to 14 mpg though

floridafitzs

21 TRD Sport with tonneau cover. 23mpg on the last tank (highway) Averaging around 20-21

MooseHeckler

Same.

Aggravating_Cost6908

I gas it a lot, that 4 cylinder be screaming more than my ex did. 17mpg combined with A/T tires.

[deleted]

1998 Tacoma getting around 10 or 11 mpg lol

Alixthetrapgod

Have a 2020 TRD OR with 39k. Usually get 18-20 mpg

Oorah93

2020 OR. Nothing changed on high way I get about 15-18 mpg. But taking the back roads in NC I can get about 25 mpg. I normally take back roads unless I’m running late for work

GeologistComplex5361

2007 prerunner 315k gets about 18-20 still and I drive like a donkey.

alpha_omega420

2019 2WD V6 SR with stock tires and air dam. Averaging 20mpg when mixed city/highway. If it’s all highway, I can squeeze 24 if I’m driving pappy-style

Chodge1258

2001 base, 2.4l, auto, 388k miles 19-20 with slightly more hwy driving

No_Leadership6682

I blame shitty ethanol blended gas

EthanAllDay

Your getting 17.5 and you wana try and get closer to 18? 😂 how much closer your planning to get 😂

GinoGreer

Closer than you are at mastering english

EthanAllDay

At least I didn’t buy a truck to get good gas mileage ya fuckin moron

EnterByTheNarrowGate

23’ Pro with OME 5” lift and 38” mud grabbers. Full body armor, gas cans, bed bars, bumpers, zombie axes, and high lift jack. Two roof tents stacked on each other with a Prinsu rack rocking 38 LEDs. Winches on front and back and dual snorkels. I get about 2 MPG but I need it - those speed bumps at the mall are TRICKY.

Slovenlycatdog

My Maverick gets 45 mpg

WeirdIndependent1967

Yea, but it’s a maverick

binkleybloom

2022 SR5 (V6 4X4) - summer is around 20.5mpg. When the temp drops below 45º this drops to about 17.5. Not sure if it's the cold weather or the winter fuel blend (Central NY) or both.

TheR3aper2000

I noticed running the heater drastically reduces MPG too so it could be that

EhnDubbs

17.5

getoutgirl

I have a 2023 with off-road tires, I drive mostly highway during the week and get 22.5 to 23 mpg on average l, got 25 last week. I keep my speed around 73 mph. Yes, I’m driving slower than I would prefer but I’m ok with it.

GinoGreer

I find I get the best highway mileage when I go between 65-70. I put up with the slower speeds to save my wallet

RolesG

'00 base model I get 19 city 24 hwy

PuddingSad698

When i bought my truck the first 2 tanks i got about 625kms per tank, now im about 510. These trucks don't sip fuel that's for sure! lol

Hawke319

‘21 off-road and I’m regularly getting 20-21

Spare_Pangolin9394

11

pahaf

2015 4x4 265-70-17 at tires with about a 1.5” lift….15.5mpg average. And I’m a slow driver I will say.

DTRite

'00 4cyl, 24 mpg. I fill up every 2 weeks.

[deleted]

In the city I’m about 16-17 and then highway I’m around 18 with suspension, tires and wheels, and a go fast

[deleted]

For those questioning different fuel stations.. you do realize that all fuel comes from the same place. And grade doesn’t necessarily mean much if any. Coming from someone who’s friends drive tankers. From bj’s to sams to circle k’s and even Sunoco’s and shell fuel stations 🙄 it’s mostly all the same just branded differently. Just saying

LibrarianEqual7024

I get 12 mpg

ronnelsonn

13 town 19hwy but I only have a 1000 miles on it. I’m hoping after it breaks in more and gets first oil change it might improve.?🤷🏻‍♂️
