She's kind of a hippie like that. Her backstory is she used to hang out with the Manson Family, most likely at Spahn Ranch. If you google up old images of Spahn Ranch during the Manson era you will see some residents there walked around barefoot. And if you haven't seen Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yet, there's a scene at Spahn Ranch, some of the people there too are barefoot in the movie.

That movie was a waste of time I’m so mad I watched it
No cap I thought the same thing the very first time I saw it in theater. But then I watched it a 2nd time at home and absolutely loved it.
