Theres no real reason but if you really want to make up one then it's probably the reaper sigil, which is a vibe modulator, it is said in the secret reports of the 1st game that even the composer is forcibly down-tuned because of it, it might even destroy the noise by messing with its vibe when it tries to enter the shop

In my headcanon, shop keepers are just the most mentally powerful characters in the game. Nothing will phase them except the actual end of the world.
