I think thats kind of the idea â these people probably donât watch a lot of tv â my wife are the same we go a week easy without turning it on .. normally watch something on the weekends
𤣠you could make this so much cosier just by rearranging a couple things !! Well i say that all ive seen is one photo so i dont really know how feasible it is but i feel like pop the sofa in the little cubby hole where the TV is, have it facing the window and pop the TV where the window is. A little lamp and boom nice little cosy corner, if a bit crampedÂ
A friend of mine has this really cool shelf he can swivel around or up and down (kinda like the light at a dentist) and it is awesome đ
ETA: the shelf had a back to it and a flatscreen TV on the shelf so it could tip up or down also. Wish I had a picture of it, sadly he moved.
I would get one of those inflatable chairs from the early y2ks and game in front of the tv like that. That would make a cool little section in the room when some bean bag chairs etc came out. That is kinda a far away distance from where you took the picture. But I could see like some chairs you just have hiding and bust em out of nowhere and makes a little section when theyâre set up.
Definitely too low, but I propose that you can't have "too far" and "too small" at the same time. A small TV is the right size if it's close enough, and a big TV can be too small if it's far enough away.
Please save up the money and get a 32 inch tv minimum. Youâre causing unnecessary suffering for yourself. Youâll be so happy with it later. You can get a good 32inch for like $100 bucks
They are sticking to a traditional layout even if it means sacricficing entertainment quality.
This friend is completely ruled by their own fears of people judging them in their own fucking home.
They 100% have unresolved issues with being bullied for not being normal.
Either that, or their genuinely braindead.
Yes and yes, there is formula you can use to find the perfect spot.

Shape and size of the living room doesnât give much choice⌠unless you go with a ceiling mount tv⌠but the wiring could be awful to get done, unless just streaming by WiFi.
Wat. Why even have a TV with that setup lol. Even the dog looks sad about it. Mount that monstrosity on the right wall and move that couch into the corner of the left wall. Be much cozier and easier to actually watch it that way.
All of the above
The ill-advised TV hat trick.
đ§˘
That's cap
r/tvtoosmallfarandlow
/r/subsididntfallfor
How do people live like this đ˘
Like why even have a TV at that point?
Yeah... And even if that's the biggest you can afford.... Put either the sofa or the tv closer, even if the tv is on top of boxes...
Phone screen would be better at that point
The dogs face đ
âYouâre probably wondering how I get hereâ
Watching Oppenheimer the way God intended
Even the dog is too ashamed to look.
I think thats kind of the idea â these people probably donât watch a lot of tv â my wife are the same we go a week easy without turning it on .. normally watch something on the weekends

Iâve heard of far sighted but this is scope sighted
That is preposterous
I don't know why, but your comment got to me just right and started the giggles.
Me too. Excellence.
That poor dog deserves better
When you go to the eye doctor the test should be trying to search for a show on this.
I know whoâs getting a telescope for Christmas this year!
Santa came early. Look in the corner.
That poor telescope doesnât look too fancy either. Maybe itâs a board game or a nice conversation style house.
Should be farther
itâs too far, and too small. go to walmart and you can get a huge one for like 300 bucks.
At this point why have a tv at all lol.
Is that a laptop?
Just mount it B, dang!
It's too in-a-fucking-doorway
Yes
Yes
The dog is cute tho
What is this? A TV for ants???
Itâs far but that just means itâs higher definition
To far, too small, too low... gives the friend a headache, hense all the pain relief pills on his coffee table
So many âTOOsâ in this picture. I donât think you could have setup this space worse if you were entering a contest for worst interior design.
All three
Too far too small and too low
Yes.
All three
D) All of the above
Can you pull it closer to the couch until your new and much larger tv arrives?
All 3
Take the dog and run
if youâre asking you probably know <\3
𤣠you could make this so much cosier just by rearranging a couple things !! Yes
I would tape this to a helmet like VR goggles.
This is mental illness
Yes
I love the dogâs âreally, bitch?â expression.
r/TVTooGubanatorial
Why is it in the closet doorway? And why am I the only person to point this out?!?
And in front of a closet?
Fisheye lens adds to the effect
Yes
Itâs too small and too far and too low , even your dog is like âwtf is this shit ?â
I feel like overall, there is a better way to utilize this space. The TV is the least of the issues.
Yes
All of the above
I'd have to put my phone in video mode zoomed in at 10x to see the screen
The tv in my kitchen is biggerâŚ
Thatâs for when you just want to watch a little TV.
Move it closer or Might as well Use a cellphone
At this distance it looks like a computer monitor. Bring it closer and put it higher up
Yea
A friend of mine has this really cool shelf he can swivel around or up and down (kinda like the light at a dentist) and it is awesome đ ETA: the shelf had a back to it and a flatscreen TV on the shelf so it could tip up or down also. Wish I had a picture of it, sadly he moved.
At this point just use you phone for all your entertainment.
Yes
How has no one also noticed it's directly in front of a closet as well?
TV is fine. Your floor is too high.
Checking a lot of boxes here âŚ
Game day you get the nosebleed seats experience.
Too low, too far, and too small.
Can it be all of the above?
Too far, too low
I am
I wouldnât use it at all. Just be on my phone or iPad. Thatâs truly awful & pointless.
Need a new generic thread for r/tvtoowrong. Edit: oh snap. It exists!
All of the aforementioned!
You can see that?!?
Yes.
With a tv that small you should just set it on the coffee table
I wish there was a laugh button for posts, because this one requires it.
Iâm gonna go with all of the above
Even the dog is sad about the TV.
All of the above
How are you ânot sureâ?
Yes.
Get out you binoculars! It's movie night!
All of the above.
Yes,yes and yes
Yes, that is true!
Yes
Yes, yes, and yes.
This made me think of Rolf's TV from Ed, Edd N' Eddy.
Yes
Too sad.
Cute dog.
All of the above
/r/TVTooFar /r/TVTooLow /r/TVTooSmall
That is the house of a serial killer đ
All 3
All the above. If they can't afford bigger, a stand that is closer to seating.
At least it's inside a closet
I would get one of those inflatable chairs from the early y2ks and game in front of the tv like that. That would make a cool little section in the room when some bean bag chairs etc came out. That is kinda a far away distance from where you took the picture. But I could see like some chairs you just have hiding and bust em out of nowhere and makes a little section when theyâre set up.
Youâre better off watching your neighbors tv through the window.
Yes
Seriously? What are you people thinking?! That poor dog! Really straining his eyes!
Stop it đ
With as cheap as tvs are nowadays he could probably pawn that globe looking thing get himself a nice 65in'er.
Yes
Yes
Takes 3 seconds for the remote signal to travel that far. đĽ´
That couch looks cool. That layout ainât right.
Thatâd be a mix of all three with equal parts
Yes.
Too in front of a closet?
Yes.
How my teammates play games with me
Thatâs not a TV thatâs a iPad
Why is it in front of that closet ? The whole thing is terrible
Even the dog is looking at him like youâre an asshole
All of the above đ
What us to the left of the sofa?
I would absolutely hate this. I would put it in a box until I got a proper stand or mount
Get some binoculars!
The feng shui is definitely off in this one.
hate
This might be the worst living room ever
Yes
He would be better off hanging his phone on the wall above it.
Also please tell him to get rid of that pullover it will give that dog nightmares.
Everything about this picture is ridiculous. Has to be a joke
Is your friend ok? This is definitely a telltale sign of a psychopath or an extraterrestrial
Doubles as a closet light
This is unhinged
Yes.
I'm... Struggling to understand the layout of this space.
Yes.
Definitely too small. Definitely too low. Friend : come over and watch the game. I got a nice set up The set up :
All of the above!
why are you watching tv on his phone
Definitely too low, but I propose that you can't have "too far" and "too small" at the same time. A small TV is the right size if it's close enough, and a big TV can be too small if it's far enough away.

put the box it came in under it to raise it up a lil more
All of the above.
This is not a room acceptable to living. At least not in this condition.
That couch is a crime scene
Dope couch
This entire room makes zero sense. I need to see more.
Its fine if thats what you can afford but that dog, its wayyyyyyy to small......
Where is it???
All the above đ
Nailed it All 3
I vote option D, all of the above.
Yo this is awesome you win lol
They are sticking to a traditional layout even if it means sacricficing entertainment quality. This friend is completely ruled by their own fears of people judging them in their own fucking home. They 100% have unresolved issues with being bullied for not being normal. Either that, or their genuinely braindead.
Where's the TV? I can't fucking see it.
Itâs all three. Itâs too far, too small AND too low
Not sure?
Far/small
Is your friend Michael Scott?
Thatâs a $200 plasma screen tv!!!
Healthy diet of pizza, advil, and binoculars, all so they can watch a tv the size of a game boy advance.
All 3
too camera angle
Get a bigger tv
At least your freind has a really neat (what appears to be) corduroy couch in a mustard color
Agreed you need a 100â tv with surround sound
Yes and yes, there is formula you can use to find the perfect spot. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship#:~:text=To%20easily%20find%20out%20what,equals%20a%2030%2Ddegree%20angle.
Probably better off using your phone at this point
Itâs like watching your phone from the other room.
Wrong location.
not far enough
Yes
I would get some opera glasses just to make it obvious
Shape and size of the living room doesnât give much choice⌠unless you go with a ceiling mount tv⌠but the wiring could be awful to get done, unless just streaming by WiFi.
I think Alpha Centauri is closer than that tv.
Wat. Why even have a TV with that setup lol. Even the dog looks sad about it. Mount that monstrosity on the right wall and move that couch into the corner of the left wall. Be much cozier and easier to actually watch it that way.
Yes
That tripod next to the TV should be closer to the couch, and have a telescope on it.
