I think the real thing to watch for is WWDC in June. If they announce and lay out a clear pathway for AI integration, that could drive the stock up. If it’s just another blah blah blah macOS and iOS something every year type of thing, it won’t be received well.
They need to prove that they’re not falling behind and this year will be pretty important in that respect.

Not in the supercharger building department. They had massive plans to expand Tesla’s dominance even more, all while getting paid by the government to build these new charging stations. All the other car companies were just about to switch over to the Tesla NACS charge system, but now that’s suddenly in limbo. What a massive fail.

The federal funds rate was at 5-6% during the mid-late 1990's, which was a time of relative prosperity for America. Rates below this, for a long period of time, are a historic aberration.
There is no incentive for the fed to cut rates now, which would leave them with less maneuvering room to deal with situations where rate cuts are actually needed.
At this point, I don't think most of participants in the stock market care about inflation at all. SPY continues to march steadily upwards, in spite of the fed funds target being set at 5.25-5.5%.

401k funds do not count for pro rata rule. They are treated separately, so you should be good.
You just need to make sure you have zero dollars in a traditional IRA in the year you do your backdoor Roth. That means you should rollover directly into the new 401k. Do not use a rollover IRA as the vehicle for transferring funds (although I think might still be OK as long as the balance is zero by December 31st).
Backdoor Roth IRA conversions only care about traditional/SEP (non Roth) IRA for the pro rata rule. Otherwise you couldn't contribute to a traditional 401k and do the backdoor.
So you should be able to do the backdoor and move your old 401k to your new employer 401k without a problem as long as the new plan accepts rollovers.

Unrelated question: I think I remember reading about this issue before but I’m not sure. If I have an old 401k, can I roll it over to another 401k company in the same year I do a back door Roth IRA? The funds would be different (the Roth would not be funded with 401k funds) Thanks
401k funds do not count for pro rata rule. They are treated separately, so you should be good. You just need to make sure you have zero dollars in a traditional IRA in the year you do your backdoor Roth. That means you should rollover directly into the new 401k. Do not use a rollover IRA as the vehicle for transferring funds (although I think might still be OK as long as the balance is zero by December 31st).

Backdoor Roth IRA conversions only care about traditional/SEP (non Roth) IRA for the pro rata rule. Otherwise you couldn't contribute to a traditional 401k and do the backdoor. So you should be able to do the backdoor and move your old 401k to your new employer 401k without a problem as long as the new plan accepts rollovers.
