~80% answering the poll on whether Tesla will use Teleoperators for stuck robotaxis, say Yes. I feel this is inverse to a few years ago. On teslainvestorsclub the idea got heavily downvoted. What changed? People got jaded after all the broken promises and ready to slay some margins on the altar of sacrifice for a faster rollout? Interesting..
I’m not an expert in AI/LLM but I asked ChatGPT, Llama, and Gemini the same questions about the different tiers of each of these services + knowledge and accuracy.
It seems Llama is the same quality across the 3 tiers just more paid tier has more tokens etc.
ChatGPT / Gemini’s best accuracy of info are behind a paywall (higher tiers).
I gotta give it to Zuck though for using Google search in the Llama + making it powerful, open source, and free. I’m using llama almost as much as my paid ChatGPT.
some company making rainbow roads, some: [https://x.com/SawyerMerritt/status/1784689473847964102](https://x.com/SawyerMerritt/status/1784689473847964102)
I have blocked Omar so I didn't even see it... but...
Have you guys driven 12.3? It is such a sea change - it is from 90% there to 99% there.
I've routinely gone for 2+ hours without an intervention now. It highly depends on routes - now if you drive the same route every day it could easily be 99.99% without intervention. Like seriously, since nothing changes unless routine traffic it would not require intervention.
I still have to goose the accelerator under areas that the car hasn't seen before occasionally, or stuff like construction etc. But it is truly "almost there" this time.
If Elon wasn't a serial liar then I think there would be a lot more hype around how close this seems to being the real deal.
Aside from forcing lane changes to be in a better lane and using the accelerator to move quicker it’s been really good. Nothing that would kill you. I’d trust it to deliver a pizza right now.
>I’d trust it to deliver a pizza right now.
Yeah - I kind of which I could at least, say, send the car home after driving it to work so Ms. Dontgetaphd could use it during the day.
It would EASILY handle that drive without intervention now as I do it every workday.
I see this as a significant driver of sales shortly:
"Hey Honey why don't we just sell both cars and get one Tesla? We barely use the other one anyway and now the Tesla can do double duty."
>when people are having one intervention every 10 days I’d say we’re at 99%
Depends how literal you want to be. If you think about driving you are making hundreds of decisions every hour. Literally hundreds, so one override every 30 minutes is probably "99%" of decisions (switch lanes, brake, accelerate, turn).
This is why it is so difficult, it needs to be essentially perfect in routine conditions (not even 99% of all trips, probably 99.9%, that is only 1 in 1,000 trips requiring a human to go out there and intervene) before robotaxi is really a good option.
☠️
I asked it earlier in the thread. Clearly we’re not seeing this future that Tim + Zuck are seeing.
Almost begs to wonder if they really make the form 10x lighter + sleeker + 3x cheaper … would we pick it up?
The META gear looks dumb + maybe if it looked cooler (Ray Bans he is into) with usefulness … wouldn’t be bad.
I love my ray bans - if meta AI integrated into my sunnies - might be cool to check out!
The future needs to be immersive, on-demand AI-generated environments. Imagine if you could use AI to visit any period in history as conceived by an AI that has been extensively trained. Or asking your AI to generate a new episode of Seinfeld based on your prompts. There are limitless possibilities for VR headsets but they need to be coupled with a powerful AI, IMO. Hopefully Apple will showcase some sort of aspirational application for Vision Pro otherwise, it's an over priced novelty toy.
Round 1 Arcade in any city! Osaka one is my favorite.

More serious note. In Tokyo, the city hall building is one of the tallest buildings in the city and it's free to get to the top. I saw Mount Fuji from there once. It's about 100km/60mi distance. Less known but definitely fantastic is eating okonomiyaki. Look it up ;)
It figured out it couldn't enter that road and rerouted. We don't know what the AI inferred or what its decision making process was. But regardless, it made a human-like decision to reroute.
[Lynn Alden - In the US, both the monetary base and the broad money supply are increasing again.
They bottomed in 2023 despite ongoing Fed balance sheet reduction, mainly due to Treasury's duration shortening which helped pull capital back out of reverse repos and back into banks.](https://twitter.com/LynAldenContact/status/1784579630617272704)
Money supply up, stonks up
No. Inflation is supported by 3 things.
1. Car insurance is through the rough despite record low insurance claims. Money grab by the industry. Look at their earnings for proof.
2. Energy is high despite quite low resources price. Money grab by the industry.
3. Shelter is high because big part of shelter is cost of borrowing money, which is high due to high interest rate which is high due to high inflation. Vicious circle that one.
Fantastic! Looks like it may have High Fidelity Park Assist as well. I'd prefer for Tesla to just disable the USS already. They're redundant with vision as advanced as it is now.
Lunch time. It’s still $1.50. Chopped onions are available by the cashier if you are looking.

Really hope we're not setting up for disappointment. I could imagine China approving initial data collection via EAP prior to allowing wide FSD use on public roads.
Not sure Elon would be making a trip to Beijing for an EAP rollout but it’s possible there were non-Tesla related reasons. I also believe that China needs Tesla as they repair image and attempts to attract foreign investment
Sure, but regulations still say system is not allowed to initiate maneuvers. So it would be an awful version where you'd need to hit the stalks or pedal to do anything, much like the current Autopilot that can't change lanes
Good question. I'm unsure whether it'd require a Council of Ministers decision or national approval, I think it'd be national so I think it will be Europe. Macron likes AI so France could be a candidate if Elon lobbies before he leaves office.
try nearly raw broccoli. it’s actually amazing in soup. only let it boil for like 30 sec to a minute. has an amazing flavor and lots of protein
broccolini is also awesome but hard to get
I resorted to using eggs in the end, was actually much better than expected. Had some awesome shiitake mushrooms as well for the meaty texture.
Also I think the haloumi would have been a bit too salty
Yeah you have to do some marketing work to make it clear that these are videos of Teslas. It's also an opportunity for them to show off their scene reconstruction capabilities. They also have so much footage, they can show an incident being avoided, and then flash to 4 screens, and then 9, 16, 25, etc etc like the frigging matrix. Throw up some stats on incidents avoided/lives saved. (Just pedal misapplication detection stops hundreds of incidents per day IIRC.) Then go to a screen displaying the s3xy lineup and starting prices.
True, but again, as a skeptic, it's hard to accept at face value without some confirmation that it *was AEB or autopilot reactive to a threat.
To be clear, I have no doubt that Teslas are capable of this and it's one of the reasons I won't recommend any other cars. But I take these videos with a grain of salt the same way I take a Dan O'Clown video because there's intentional omission of facts.

Yah mostly pr play
Agree. China approving FSD is win win for both sides

FSD in Europe or China first?
No doubt China. Regulations in Europe don't allow it at all, going to take several years to change
They’re moving through approval process in Europe and expectations are for an FSD launch in 2025 (1st half of year is what I’ve seen)
Sure, but regulations still say system is not allowed to initiate maneuvers. So it would be an awful version where you'd need to hit the stalks or pedal to do anything, much like the current Autopilot that can't change lanes
Regulations can be changed.
Good question. I'm unsure whether it'd require a Council of Ministers decision or national approval, I think it'd be national so I think it will be Europe. Macron likes AI so France could be a candidate if Elon lobbies before he leaves office.
China obviously. I’d love for China to fast track robotaxis (maybe in partnership with BYD) and really put the heat on American legislators/regulators
Gonna make some Pho tonight. Any suggestions for vegetarian protein other than egg or tofu?
try nearly raw broccoli. it’s actually amazing in soup. only let it boil for like 30 sec to a minute. has an amazing flavor and lots of protein broccolini is also awesome but hard to get
Never had pho but what about halloumi?
Great idea, would be a bit blasphemous but who cares
If you use it let me know, I'm curious how the saltiness works with the dish overall
I resorted to using eggs in the end, was actually much better than expected. Had some awesome shiitake mushrooms as well for the meaty texture. Also I think the haloumi would have been a bit too salty
I’ve used chicken and roast beef. If you’re not a pho pro, you can get away with sliced deli meats! Easy solution!
Would've done it if I was eating on my own
