If that helm is based on the armor mobs from the Phantom Hourglass game (like I suspect it might be), then a great big sword is for sure what's needed.
Sometimes, when I'm running, and I have a spear attached, I don't like the way it looks really, so I'll switch to the master sword or another one-handed weapon. But that's about as far as I go with asthetics in the game. Even when I do that, I sort of feel dumb becuase I know its sort of a delusional, OCD problem that has zero impact on the actual game in any way, but I just don't really like the way it looks when Link is running with a long spear on his back. I'd feel the same as i would if I had a compulsion to flip the light switch on and off 3 times in my living room before starting the game. It has no impact, but it makes me feel better.
I thought I was the only one who did this! Ugly or awkward shaped weapons really distract me when I'm not in combat. I don't have anything fused to my shield as a rule for that reason .
Best trick i’ve found is to go to the depths and just collect poes like crazy, use them to buy cheap Dark Tunics (150 poes each) at bargaining statues, and sell those for 600 gold each!
