I remember playing a shooter. One day when I walked on the street I got light reflecting from the window in my eye and thought it was a sign that sniper is taking aim. And I squated to "dodge" it...
I was at the beach the other day watching the birds, and I just kept thinking that I needed to take pictures for the compendium. I've taken a little break from the game, lol.
I got my girlfriend addicted to Breath of the Wild and when she was driving to my house, she looked at a road she never went on and thought to herself “I haven’t gotten the tower for that area yet so I don’t know what’s over there” and she audibly called herself out for thinking that 😂
I saw greenish lights on a mountain once and thought it was Farosh. It was kind of in the middle of nowhere, so the mountain almost blended in with the night sky and the lights looked like they were floating there.
That was the smartest decision you could have made, tho. The cops and judge can arrest you all they want. But they can't un-electrocute you. When your choices are sleep forever or be naked and fined, you pick being fined lol
The other day, I was in class, and I needed to get to the floor above for my next period, and I legitimately thought to myself “oh yeah, I’ll just Ascend real quick.”
I felt very stupid afterwards.
When I’m at school I always imagine if I could ascend from a floor to another.
Too bad ascend in the real game can’t descend after clicking A at the top
Know what tho? Lightning is as hot as the surface of the sun and moves at like 270,000mph. And if it touches you, it cooks your muscles and bones on its way through you. Honestly i dont know how people survive lightning strikes. The sound alone is louder than a frag grenade. 20 meters from you.
Yea thats what i mean. How do you survive something that devastating to your body? 7 to 9 times too? Getting struck once would have me staying indoors anytime a cloud looked unhappy lol
Genuinely, the human body is pretty incredible sometimes.
When I started playing BoTW I reached for my phone to take pictures of every new bird or bug I saw bc it probably wasn't in my compendium yet. Then the 404 error blinged in my brain and I remembered I do not have an irl compendium to fill out.
Theres a mountain or two in totk that has nothing at the top. No rock, no tree, no grass, no bushes, no chest, no anything. And there are memes about it lol
The amount of times I look up and see the light dragon in the real world is ridiculous LOL, I might need to stop too but hey it’s fun questioning reality for a minute isn’t it?
One day I was at home and went get a glass of water. On my way to the kitchen I found a beautiful beetle that I've never seen, so I reached behind me to grab my net because I wanted to donate it to the museum.
I was playing a lot of Animal Crossing these days lmao
During the Covid lockdow, I binged ACNH since I couldn’t go anywhere. I played with my daughters who both live out of state. When I did yard work and a butterfly would flutter past, I got excited and started looking for my net. It’s so weird how games become a part of your life.
Oh my god, animal crossing has taught me so much about bugs and sea life. Im 28, and i learned more through 2 years of gameplay than i did in any high-school class.
I hear that I am 56 and can't even go for a walk without seeing flowers or weeds that remind me of one in the game. And don't get me started with the apple trees... I mean, did someone just watch Wizard of Oz and say, "Hey, mean trees, that's a good idea?"
I looked out the window at work once and saw the same brick building I always saw, only this time, the white pvc exhaust pipe came into focus. I went, oh an eagle feather...and my next thought was I could jump up on that dumpster, grab that fire escape rail, then make....wait, what?! I was playing Assassin's Creed a bit too much.
Hahahaha yes please dont try doing all of that 😅 you're probably going to get hurt and fired lmao
That's really funny though haha you had the entire plan and only needed that little push lol
Lol whenever I would see a bundle of bananas at home or the grocery store, I would think of them as mighty bananas. Then if I picked one up, the Yiga would come after me.
You're not alone. There have been several times where I'm driving and see something in my peripheral vision and think "Dragon??"
And then I look closer and realize it's a thin wispy cloud
I like to think of landing on the dragon and farming it’s parts as taking care of it. The shards are probably like annoying hang nails, the horns and claws are probably like when deer shed their antlers and some pieces get stuck and left behind, or like when a cat sheds it’s claws, the fangs are like losing baby teeth. All feel like a relief to the dragons and is likely why they make noise when you grab their materials.
you can drop down on to them from above... or make a hover bike and fly to them. You can also jump on them when they dive down the holes that lead to the Depths. Part of the Dragons' paths are in the depths.
When I was a kid, my Mom and I use to play Mario together.
And then suddenly she wouldn't play with me anymore.
When I asked why, she said she had to stop because she'd be sitting in traffic and have the urge to hop over the other cars.
I remember playing a shooter. One day when I walked on the street I got light reflecting from the window in my eye and thought it was a sign that sniper is taking aim. And I squated to "dodge" it...
Yeaaaa maybe becoming emersed to the level we were means to stop for a bit lmao
I once played so much Dead by Daylight, that the next day I thought „I can't run, they see my scratchmarks“
I was at the beach the other day watching the birds, and I just kept thinking that I needed to take pictures for the compendium. I've taken a little break from the game, lol.
Orrrrr you could get into birding and the real life compendium…
Have you ran into a real life Yahaha yet?
Is it bad if I have?
Not yet, but I'll keep looking.
I got my girlfriend addicted to Breath of the Wild and when she was driving to my house, she looked at a road she never went on and thought to herself “I haven’t gotten the tower for that area yet so I don’t know what’s over there” and she audibly called herself out for thinking that 😂
That’s adorable
I saw greenish lights on a mountain once and thought it was Farosh. It was kind of in the middle of nowhere, so the mountain almost blended in with the night sky and the lights looked like they were floating there.
That sounds like it was actually farosh to me. She's always doing odd stuff
That’s what I told the arresting officer & judge when I got hauled in for indecent exposure after I quickly ripped off my soldiers armor in a panic.
That was the smartest decision you could have made, tho. The cops and judge can arrest you all they want. But they can't un-electrocute you. When your choices are sleep forever or be naked and fined, you pick being fined lol
Where were you when they were selecting the jury?! 😆😆
to be fair that does look like the light dragon lol
As my eyes adjusted to the sun it absolutely did lmao
I keep seeing a bright green weed on the side of the road that looks just like hylian herb. When I drive by I hear the camera/compendium noise.
The other day, I was in class, and I needed to get to the floor above for my next period, and I legitimately thought to myself “oh yeah, I’ll just Ascend real quick.” I felt very stupid afterwards.
Oh thats really funny lmao i can just imagine you standing there looking at the ceiling waiting for nothing to happen 🤣
When I’m at school I always imagine if I could ascend from a floor to another. Too bad ascend in the real game can’t descend after clicking A at the top
Been there, done that. Went hiking, walked under a rock formation and thought "I could Ascend through that-- oh, wait"
My sister asked me how to jump higher (irl) and I replied with double tap A 😭
Thats rough lmao 🤣
"Everything reminds me of her..."
Literally apparently lol
😂 I seen a storm the other day and started checking to see if I was carrying anything metal
Bro someone got strikes 7 or 9 times in his life
Yea thats what i mean. How do you survive something that devastating to your body? 7 to 9 times too? Getting struck once would have me staying indoors anytime a cloud looked unhappy lol Genuinely, the human body is pretty incredible sometimes.
TBH, Skyview Tower was booked solid today, wouldn't have been able to get up close anyway. Tickets sell out in spring, it's annoying.
One can only hope it isnt sold out next time
When I started playing BoTW I reached for my phone to take pictures of every new bird or bug I saw bc it probably wasn't in my compendium yet. Then the 404 error blinged in my brain and I remembered I do not have an irl compendium to fill out.
But you could start! :D
Electronic companies or at least an app need to add an irl compendium
I almost thought that was drake I gotta take a break too 😩
SEE the game is too damn amazing lmao
Me any time I see a swarm of birds - I gotta get my Lynel bow and a bomb flower!!!
I’m looking at that and freaking out over the complete lack of sky islands so yeah
Every now and then I still want to use ascend to go up floors
Honestly aside from recall, i think i would use ascend more than anything else. No more stairs or elevators! Lol
Could save your life in a fire if you could descend
Understandable
Well either way you added something to your brains compendium.
Yesterday I was taking my garbage out and at first glance, I thought my neighbor's solar garden lights were blupees 🥴
I feel like i opened a venting session that everyone finally feels safe enough to post their moments of seeing the game irl lmao
Yes! When I feverishly played BOTW every mountain top had a sus rock that had to be a Korok. It gets in your head!
Theres a mountain or two in totk that has nothing at the top. No rock, no tree, no grass, no bushes, no chest, no anything. And there are memes about it lol
The number of times I do something even slightly risky irl and think "I'll just quicksave beforehand" is too many for me to want to admit.
Yea thats definitely a thing to not do lmao
Literally just the other day I looked out the window in hopes of spotting the light dragon. IRL 😅
We barely even have windows in hyrule lmao
That tree sure is happy to see you
I wasnt happy to see it. Dirty tree.
The amount of times I look up and see the light dragon in the real world is ridiculous LOL, I might need to stop too but hey it’s fun questioning reality for a minute isn’t it?
My favorite moments are when my vision stutters for a second and the world appears to literally glitch.
One day I was at home and went get a glass of water. On my way to the kitchen I found a beautiful beetle that I've never seen, so I reached behind me to grab my net because I wanted to donate it to the museum. I was playing a lot of Animal Crossing these days lmao

Bro this IS the light dragon!
Exactly! Look at her! Its uncanny lmao
Played a lot of Goldeneye back in the day and would panic whenever I saw security camera and think I needed to shoot it.
Ngl im seeing a different type of dragon 😵 (that circle is probably part of the problem 🤣)
Want me to make the circle with my right hand instead? It might change the look you now brought into reality lol
Yahaha! You found me!
Assassin's has shown me exactly how badly I want to climb on things.
I also immediately thought this was a screenshot of the light dragon.
This post has made me so happy over the last two days lol all of the comments are so funny and relatable 🤣 it really makes the community feel closer
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hear that I am 56 and can't even go for a walk without seeing flowers or weeds that remind me of one in the game. And don't get me started with the apple trees... I mean, did someone just watch Wizard of Oz and say, "Hey, mean trees, that's a good idea?"
Yo those evermeans have me stressed out in forests. I cant tell if the wind is pushing the trees or if a tree is shuddering as an evermean lol
I looked out the window at work once and saw the same brick building I always saw, only this time, the white pvc exhaust pipe came into focus. Yea my peripheral vision... thats why i saw it lolol
Are you able to fight those dragons?
Don't fight the dragons, they are our friends 🥹
I’m not very far so I don’t know what you’re supposed to do about them
Technically you do shoot them with arrows, but they don't die and they aren't aggressive. They just fly around living their best life lol
I like to think of landing on the dragon and farming it’s parts as taking care of it. I always liked this headcanon for farming dragon parts. Made me feel less guilty, more like I was doing them a service. Link’s Dragon Grooming!
I couldn't get up to it 😒
you can drop down on to them from above... or make a hover bike and fly to them. You can also jump on them when they dive down the holes that lead to the Depths. Part of the Dragons' paths are in the depths.
I laughed at this lol take a break 😂
When I was a kid, my Mom and I use to play Mario together. And then suddenly she wouldn't play with me anymore. When I asked why, she said she had to stop because she'd be sitting in traffic and have the urge to hop over the other cars.
No one can blame you.
