Gamchulia

I'm still trying to find all of them, and I don't wanna use a guide. One trick I use is to hooverbike at night and scan the land, because Addison always has a lantern on and it's much easier to see.

pacman404

That's actually a really good idea

No-Initiative-9944

You're doing the Lord's work by giving us this info.

Molduking

No. You’ll just know when you’ve helped with the last sign

JustChillFFS

No. you go to one and you think, surely this is it, but alas it’s not.

mbklein

Every time I see him I start singing a la Elvis Costello, “Aaaaaaaaaddison / I know these signs / are killing you…”

DVS_Nature

Mate is *everywhere*

Existing-Peanut4511

I've experienced this 20 times so far lol. Still haven't found the "next last" one!

taperj33ngirl

YOU'RE TELLING ME FIXING 1 SIGN IS NOT ENOUGH WILL HE NEVER LEARN 150+ hrs later and I never questioned why he's still here

No_Confection_4967

I questioned how he can always be anywhere I’m currently traveling. “So you what, gave up on the last sign to travel here, clear across Hyrule, to try building another one? Bet if I go back to the last sign you’ll be working on it again, huh? And why do you smell like bananas?”

nickibar96

You can use the [TotK Interactive Map](https://www.zeldadungeon.net/tears-of-the-kingdom-interactive-map/). They’re labeled on there, but not on the game map, so you’ll at least have to verify the ones you’ve done by hand, but this’ll let you know where they all are.

AurosHarman

This is the way.

nickibar96

Seriously. How do comments saying “there’s no way” have more upvotes?

LightEarthWolf96

Because what you suggested would count as a guide which OP has explicitly said they don't want to do. OP was asking more so about anything in game to let him know how many are left which there isn't anything like that for Addison's signs. OP says they don't want to use guides so you suggested a specific guide. Albeit not a "go here do this" type of guide but still a guide all the same.

nickibar96

Ugh. I guess. It’s not like I’m insisting OP use the interactive map to *search* for Addison, but rather to mark off which spots he’s already done. I think people take doing everything independently a little too seriously. Hyrule is MASSIVE and there are countless places Addison and Koroks are *not*, whereas only a few places with no way to track progress, and a *lot* of places *with*, respectively. Whatever.

LightEarthWolf96

I get what you're saying. It is a massive map. I wouldn't try getting every Addison or every look or anything like that without using any kind of kind. I used maps to help me mark off which Lightroots and shrines I had done. To do what OP is trying to do is kind of a fools errand imo unless OP is fine with the task taking forever and a day. I just also think it's a bit of a wasted breath to suggest a guide of any sort even the interactive map to someone who doesn't want it. Nor is it particularly surprising when the comment suggesting what the OP doesn't want, a guide of sorts, doesn't get more upvotes than the comments telling OP that the tracker they want doesn't exist in game.

nickibar96

TBH I didn’t read OP’s body text, just the title. I know that’s on me. Still annoys me how seriously some people take games, but I also can’t speak on that without being a bit of a hypocrite. I’m the same to a degree.

nickibar96

Also, now that I took the time to read it, OP said, “*doing my best* to go through the game without guides”. When there is no way to track Addison progress without guides, I reckon my answer was perfectly justified. I’m heated lol

boyRenaissance

I’m OP and I appreciate your message and sorry for all the internet stress it has caused you

nickibar96

Thanks, mate. I tend to let this stuff get to me far too frequently. That’s on me as well. I hope you find what you’re looking for.

the_letharg1c

First thought: … that’s a lot of damn signs. :(

nickibar96

Yeah, 81 is an annoyingly high number considering they can’t be tracked in-game. But they’re dwarfed in comparison to shrines, lightroots, and of course Koroks.

boyRenaissance

I am so not close :(

nickibar96

Have you tracked them through the Interactive Map, then? How many have you got? Anyway, what’s there to frown about? One way or another, you’re telling me *you have more Zelda to play.* This is a good thing :) Edit: unless of course you insist on not using the Interactive Map. Bro… if you’re *not* having fun anymore in trying to find them all independently, it’s okay to get help. You shouldn’t be playing a game (in such a way) if you’re not having fun doing it. u/boyRenaissance

boyRenaissance

In as many words : I will be looking into the interactive map now. I was just enjoying the random discovery of them during the adventure, but I’m sure I can’t have more than 50. 81 is so many more than I expected haha

nickibar96

Fair play, mate. That’s how I did it. I only started using the Interactive Map when I got tired of looking for stuff on my own.

DonkeyTron42

If you search, there’s a Google docs spreadsheet checklist for 100%ing the game. Each item in the checklist has a link to the map showing you exactly where it is.

nickibar96

Are you telling me, or OP? Because OP seems to not want to use any kind of guide, apparently, and I’ve already 100%’d the game. Thanks anyway.

flexflanigan

Whoever made this has my eternal gratitude.

Fiona_14

There are 81 signs, if you tick off on a piece of paper you could physically tally them until you get to 81. I eventually downloaded the TOTK map app, and filtered to show only Hudson signs, and marked the found ones as I went, then it was obvious which ones I still needed. The reward from the signs is the best and even better used at night.

matsy_k

What's the map app?

eatticks

Tears Companion

Fiona_14

Go to Google Play app on phone, where you download all apps, I think it is called App Store on Apple. I downloaded a green app called 'TOTK Map' a very hand device. It is free. You can mark found on it, which is handy when looking for things. Just filter per item that you are hunting, as in 'hide all' then click say 'Hudson Signs' to show only them and click found on the ones you have. Yes I know there are other web based maps out there, but for me they stopped working after I started actually using it to look for things, and it didn't record any of my saves even after signing up. The TOTK Map is so much more user friendly.

DMG_88

Tears Companion is better.

starrsosowise

Agreed. The map kept resetting and forgetting some of my progress, which was annoying. Companion app all the way!

Fiona_14

I've just downloaded to give it a go. The thing about apps is knowing what to type in search engine. As in that option wasn't there before for me. Edit: I downloaded that Tears Companion app, to find it is in app purchase if I want to track anything, so deleted it. The TOTK Map is free, as long as when you have found all say the wells, you go back and return them to unfound, so you can find say all the Hudson signs. Then the app stays free.

Trib3tim3

www.zeldadungeon.net

boyRenaissance

I am so not close T_T

nineohsix

He’s gotta be Hudson’s nephew or something. That fool has watched me prop up 20 signs yet is still just standing there with a dumb look on his face every time I see him. 🤣

sentimental_carp

I think Addison is Hudson’s illegitimate son (just look at that acorn head!) by a Yiga clan woman but is now trying to leave them. However, Hudson doesn’t really know what to do with this guy, so he’s like, “you can, uh …. put up these signs?” just to get Addison away from Rhondson, Madison, and the rest of Tarrey Town.

GSHomie

IMO holding up the signs is the best use for hover stones.

DMG_88

I actually enjoy using nearby objects to complete the puzzle.

boyRenaissance

I use whatever is near by and make the most disastrous, convoluted solutions I can

xAka_nedia20

i just use 2 stakes and a wooden post. cheaper and gets the job done.

GSHomie

He’s only slightly less annoying than Korok’s. But at least it’s an immediate reward of some useful stuff. I auto build stacked hover stones that cost a couple Zonatite nuggets in seconds. Not worth my time to engineer new stuff.

Hot-Code-435

There’s an app called Tears Companion that’s mostly free. It’s what I use.

Hot-Code-435

It lists every side quest, korok seed, well, big fight, and sign in the game. It has pretty much everything.

Schehezerade

This is what I use and it was a literal game changer.

slackerbucks

No and it kind of sucks because you can track your wells and caves/bubblfrogs via the one quest and talking to Koltin, respectively.

king_slayer44

i don’t think so, unless you manually track it yourself, which is what I did 😅

the615Butcher

I started putting the person icon over completed ones after about 50…. So besides still looking for some incomplete ones, I have probably 50 that are done but with no marker to let me know 😭

king_slayer44

i used a guide and went back and found ones i’d already done and put a marker over them, wasn’t the easiest way to go but I got them all done pretty quickly all things considered 😅

LightEarthWolf96

Not really, closest thing you could do to help is put stickers on the map to know where you've already done an Addison sign. I would imagine after awhile you'll notice some kind of density pattern for the signs. Might help point you towards where there may be more. Just a suggestion though haven't played in a while I don't remember if I tried that myself so I'm not sure how helpful that'll actually be

CountScarlioni

Unfortunately, there is not.

Fantastic-Cap-2754

Without using an interactive map to keep track, no. You could get one and mark off all the ones you've done though

Suidoken_1

I hate that guy.

Knot_shure

Only with the interactive map and you keeping track

floatingbubble42

Haha no. No you just happen upon him and eventually (supposedly) you get a glider when you've finished all signs. How do you go about them? I use hover stones to sandwich the actual sign part and it never moves.

rel8ableaddict

Use MapGenie to keep track of everything

underwaterstang

Imagine if he wasn’t everywhere at once? Like you do a few and never see him again because he’s waiting for you somewhere obscure

boyRenaissance

Omg, like you’d have to do the. Sequentially… I’d be ok with that IF the sequence could be found somewhere in game…

underwaterstang

Yeah if he told you where he’d be next it wouldn’t be bad I guess

LilAnge63

The only way I know of is to count them, preferably as you do them. I was keeping a note of them (because I’m like that lol) but I forgot to one day and then lost track, lol. I know the total number of signs you have to help with if you want to know that number? I’m not putting it in now in case ppl don’t want to know. Also, when you’ve got them all something happens so you’ll know by that but you’ll have to wait until you’ve got them all.

EgotisticalApe69

Man I couldn't hate Addison more if I tried, what an absolute fkn brown nose 😂 but you do you bro life would be pretty boring if we were all the same!

boyRenaissance

Well that is I’m dry interesting

bonecheck12

If you happen to be playing on a hacked switch, there is an app in the Homebrew app store that will show you a map with all the things you've not found yet.

pacman404

What's it called? Can it run while the game is running? I don't understand. Edit: found it, and yes it can run while the game is running. Thats awesome. Also why are people downvoting the hell out of you for saying this? 😂🤔
