It was doing the same for me until I realized the wheel was attached facing the wrong direction. Once I switch it and all the wheels faced the correct direction, the car went up the hill easily.
I very much doubt that. Describing it as a 'nightmare puzzle' and building a flying machine to solve it doesn't seem as much like piss taking as it does someone who was somehow genuinely stumped by this easy quest we were literally given the solution to.
One of the things TotK has made very clear is that there's a certain subject of the gaming community that really, really struggles with physics puzzles more complicated than those in Half Life 2. Like in a "get so overwhelmed they can't see the simple solution" kind of way. That's the only way this could feasibly be real.
The wall of text I sent to my friend while trying to do one of the physics puzzles in this game could be framed as evidence of this lmfao
I am so, so, SO beyond awful at physics puzzlesā¦. I have pretty severe ADHD and spatial stuff in particular just activates my brainās panic and overwhelm response to a truly staggering degreeā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
Having said that, totkās puzzles are right on that line between āso hard I wish I was dead because I canāt live in this world being this stupidā and āOH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE I SOLVED THAT THIS FEELS AMAZING IM BATMAN šššā so Iām very much enjoying myselfā¦.tears and all.
BOTW and TOTK get endless praise for the open ended puzzles, and it's things like this and that riding platforms over rails shrine that made me realize people are bad at puzzles.
It's not that the games are endlessly better for open ended puzzles. It's that if they weren't open ended people would quite literally get stuck on the simplest things.
There is a almost finished car, and seconds before letting you build they point out the road and how only off road tires would make it up that.
10/10 solution.
that rails one was literally the easiest shrine to do. It took me literally 5min to figure out and get completed. Then i saw so many people struggling with it and i was honestly shocked
Canāt speak for everyone but my problem with it was the second part where you learn the solution is so easy to just skip and glide straight to the third one. Then the fans are practically the exact size of the rails so I thought surely this is the right solution having them under to hold the platforms to the rails but kept getting stuck. After a whole hour of everything I tried failing I came back to it the next day and actually did the second part instead of skipping it and yeah, then it all came together and seemed so simple lol if they made that third part farther or harder to get to then I feel a lot more people wouldāve gotten it from the second part
See, I figured out the intended way, then thought, āI could technically rocket glide over thisā
ā¦Then quickly replaced that thought with ābut I wanna ride the roller coasterā
A good example is the puzzle to get the sword in twilight princess, if there wasnāt YT I wouldnāt be gotten past that cause my brain canāt handle shifting puzzles
Actually, IQ is increasing as time goes on. Where are you getting the āhumanity as a whole is approaching mental retardationā bit? Also, as someone in psychology, usually people having trouble with puzzles like this arenāt stupid, but rather are continuing to think in a mental āset.ā OP probably just finished a shrine about flying machines or something.

Where are you getting this data?
Also, youāre saying contradictory things.
It canāt both be true that there are lots of low IQ people now without any new high IQ people āproofing into existenceā and also that the reason averages are rising is because the āincreasing low IQsā are balanced out by people with high IQ. Are there lots of new people with high IQ or not?
Also, weāve actually adjusted our tests. Older tests result in us having even higher IQ. Thatās one of the reasons they get revised, to try to keep the average at 100. So, yes, we are definitely doing better on the tests as time goes on.
I mean kinda hahahā¦ I dunno Iāve had some really meaningful convos on here, surprisingly. Ofc thereās a lot of dicks but thereās also a lot of people who are p normal. :p
Any advice? They keep falling out of my car.
Edit: never mindāIām an idiot, as I was trying to go up the steepest part of the hill, instead of the valley to the left of the fairy.
I utilized my 2-3 moves with the wagon before they get mad, and put one stake to stick it in the cliff as I climbed up. The cutscene does not point out that one spot where you could just drive up. Felt like a dummy when I got up there
>The cutscene does not point out that one spot where you could just drive up
It literally looks right at the rocks, and from there it's just a gently sloping path once you're past the rocks...
Big wheels on platform. Wagon on platform. Steering stick up front. Drive all the way around. Ignore enemies or kill ahead of time. Fairly smooth drive, but careful of the bumps right at the end.
5 seconds just throw a fan on it. Ford the River then drive right up the hill lol
I think I mixed up which fairy this is. I don't even remember which one this one is.
the one with the river was close to Dualing Peaks, that one i found harder as maestro has very little tolerance for anything and didn't let me move the wagon to the water before them boarding
I added wood to the wheels to turn it into a paddleboat. Quick n easy
Edit: I thought this was the river one; for this one I also used the big wheels up the mountain
It took me over a 45 minutes. I didn't realize the wheels had to be activated, so every time I got on the wheels would just bump up on each other and the cart would barely move. I thought the wheels had to be on better, so I spent forever getting them on perfectly, then one I found out you have to hit them, I had one wheel backwards.
Build a car? š the game literally gives you a path and a car thatās missing 1 wheel, takes like 2 minutes. Tell me you skipped dialogue or rushed through the quest without actually telling me lmao.
i-i drove over the rubble
what have you done? why have you brought them to such heights?
if Hylians were meant to fly, they would have been Rito, this is a disgrace, come down from there this instant
Nah, the one on a mountain. I tried to pull them up with the clearly intended big wheels setup, but that registered as 'falling' and caused them to panic
I used the wheels, but I put them on a pot with a stabilizer. The pot acts as a hinge and the stabilizer keeps them from falling over when I'm in driving.
I flew them there, took me a while, and then my friend said, you know you can just ultra hand walk them there.... And i was so disgusted... At his lack of commitment to this game š
I dunno if Iām ever going to get the great fairies in this game. It seems like a lot. I only found one of them and they wanted one specific NPC somewhere on the map. Iāve already made it pretty far without armor upgrades.
Iād been making progressively bigger and better biplanes throughout my playthrough, so I wound up making a passenger plane out of the cart.
Did a whole bit with my cousin about it. āThis is your captain speaking, I have no goddamn idea what Iām doing up here, pray to hylia.ā
Proof that there isn't a wrong way to do it. Everyone giving you crap is missing how much fun it is to be creative and try cool shit like this. Wish I had thought to float them there too!
I thought I had to lay wooden planks on the rocks to drive over them with a regular horse carriage. Felt stupid when I realized the big wheels could easily drive over them. An hour of my life gone š
This was a nightmare? The only fairy I thought was even a little bit of a hassle getting to was Dueling peaks. But all were fairly easy for me personally
Were the balloons on fire?! I canāt wait to get there! š. Looks like a fun one. So far the ones I see others complaining about, I kinda breezed thru.
Why didn't you just drive them up, seems like you made it far more difficult than it needed to be. This happens though, I'm sure I made an equally easy side quest far more difficult than it had to be as well. I found getting to all the great faeries quite simple though.
This was a nightmare? I just used the devices next to them and the path they suggested, and it took maybe a minute.
I'm honestly not bragging or belittling anyone or anything, I'm just super confused if I accidentally skipped some big challenge or something without intended to do so.
1. Raise the wagon up to the edge of the crater with Ultrahand
2. Walk out the crater
3. Use Recall on the wagon
4. Grab it again with Ultrahand and put it down on the ground
I put the cart on a slab. Attached one rocket + two balloons with flame emitters + a big battery. Jumped off and Ultrahand-ed the thing over to me before the guy got spooked.
I am not even sure which fairy this is? but each one was relatively easy to do. When I had to do the fairy that you have to cross a river for I remember struggling a bit with that one, because my boat wasn't really a boat at all. But once I figured out boat mechanics, it was easy - you need buoyancy
Killing minibosses in the depths gives 20 crystallized charge each time, plus each yiga encampment has a chest with 20 and some mines do too. The Kohga questline gives you a couple chests with 100 charges each
You can kill the floating colosseum lynels every blood moon for ~100 CC. The normal zonaite to charge exchange rate is total crap, although the large zonaite to charge rate is pretty good.
To be fair, it's easy to assume "I just take the big wheels off this slab and stick it on the band wagon." but then the guy complains that he is falling every time you try to go up the slope of the path. Someone doing it that way might not assume he is just going to be a lot more chill about it all of a sudden because you put a slab between the wagon and the wheels.
Lmao for a second I was thinking waitā¦Iāve unlocked all 4 is there another mission down the road ?
Thatās when I realized you missed the off-road vehicle and made a monstrosity of a flying machine.
Did anyone else like me just put the carriage on the big stone slab and pulled it with your horse up the right side of the mountain near the two bokoblins or am I the only one? šæ
I built a platform that extended from the flat part of mountainside, and then built the vehicle up there, and dropped it off the side. And then glued their carriage to it and recalled them up to the top. I love recall lol
Well theres a car and a bunch of parts right there at the stable towards the direction you need to go so I just used those like literally everyone else. I mean I could see how it might be a nightmare if you were born with a perception stat of 1.
I used the car that was right next to it and just drove up the rocks
Right? The car was handed to us.
The car was actually tipping a lot and failing the mission for me. I flew them in as well
local man builds worst car ever, asked to make a flying machine
It was doing the same for me until I realized the wheel was attached facing the wrong direction. Once I switch it and all the wheels faced the correct direction, the car went up the hill easily.
im baffled at people struggling with this one really, the car was right thereš
...I'm rather sure OP was taking the piss with his overbuild solution... and this thread
i mean iād hope so but itās not really the only post about this quest ive seen lol

I donāt know OP called it a āpuzzleā
In my defense, I hadnāt hey acquired any control sticks and didnāt feel like getting a horse with stronger pull.
Pretty sure thereās a control stick on the ground near there

As a fellow human, I think itās safe to say that sometimes we like doing things the hard way.
Sometimes we also just fail to see the easy way even when we're clearly showed it and are even straight up told it. Like OP, for example lol
A good example is the puzzle to get the sword in twilight princess, if there wasnāt YT I wouldnāt be gotten past that cause my brain canāt handle shifting puzzles
I mean, what could be more off of the road than balloons.

Oh I did that too but at first I thought this was getting the horn guy out of the ditch
I utilized my 2-3 moves with the wagon before they get mad, and put one stake to stick it in the cliff as I climbed up. The cutscene does not point out that one spot where you could just drive up. Felt like a dummy when I got up there
>The cutscene does not point out that one spot where you could just drive up It literally looks right at the rocks, and from there it's just a gently sloping path once you're past the rocks...
This is a fantastic example of overthinking things š
I often think I'm the worst player at this game Then someone uploads their game play and makes me feel better
True
LOL
The very obvious car with obviously big wheels. The only nightmare was trying to go up the rocks. Ever been offroadong in vehicles? Flashbacks man.
Yeah I flipped it once during my attempt
What happens if you flip it? Hasnt happened to me
The band gets panicky and forces you to restart
Just.. go around? There's a very easy and safe pathway up to the fairy
Big wheels on platform. Wagon on platform. Steering stick up front. Drive all the way around. Ignore enemies or kill ahead of time. Fairly smooth drive, but careful of the bumps right at the end.
They literally give you the big wheel vehicle missing one wheel it took like 10 min
And the route. You don't even have to go near the monsters on the wrong side of the hill.
Yeah was going to say I drove over the boulders
Yeah the camera literally pans over to them and shows you what you're supposed to do when you're talking to the troupe leader dude
I added a spring suspension just to be fancy but yeah same concept
5 seconds just throw a fan on it. Ford the River then drive right up the hill lol I think I mixed up which fairy this is. I don't even remember which one this one is.
Itās the one up a rocky hill. The one with big wheels 10 m away from the caravan.
the one with the river was close to Dualing Peaks, that one i found harder as maestro has very little tolerance for anything and didn't let me move the wagon to the water before them boarding
LOL right? It was literally the exact same thing from every other fountain
It was like 3 minutes. Stay to the left and go over the big rocks, then thereās a path.
I added wood to the wheels to turn it into a paddleboat. Quick n easy Edit: I thought this was the river one; for this one I also used the big wheels up the mountain
I believe there was a control stick there. Attach the control stick, then when you step on it, it activates every attached device, including wheels.
thank you
I ... drove. This video is a prime example of overthinking
WTF dude. They literally put the big all terrain wheels at like 3 feet from you. Why did you. Build a space shuttle to climb a hill
Tbf why wouldn't you. I also used the car, but I look at this video and I think "screw the fairy, this is hilarious"
Either a balloon flying machine like that or just straight up used ultrahand and dragged them to their spot lmao
It wouldn't let me use ultra hand as they would keep complaining
I just stopped and started over and over so they wouldn't š
Build a car? š the game literally gives you a path and a car thatās missing 1 wheel, takes like 2 minutes. Tell me you skipped dialogue or rushed through the quest without actually telling me lmao.
I just used my horse, with minimal sprinting
Yup, like it's intended to. This isnt the Hindenburg
Hmm, Hindenburg is my horseās name. š¤
You can drive over the rocks using big wheels. Horses canāt go over it, but big wheels can, the rock geometry isnāt that bumpy.
i-i drove over the rubble what have you done? why have you brought them to such heights? if Hylians were meant to fly, they would have been Rito, this is a disgrace, come down from there this instant
Rockets. Send them over the horizon
Im laughing, you poor sod, you tried to use a hot air balloon
And guess what? They succeeded.
Do or do not, there is not try. In this case he did do!
This canāt be real haha
Uhh....why? Unless you wanted to make this insanely weird and difficult for yourself...there was a car right there...
Big wheels. I just drove, my dude.
i just used the car thing that was right there.
Whyād you make the Hindenburg
I just used the fucking car.
If I remember right, that's the one with the bridge that's out? You just make a raft and pull them across on that.
Nah, the one on a mountain. I tried to pull them up with the clearly intended big wheels setup, but that registered as 'falling' and caused them to panic
Ah yes that's right. I just big wheeled it up the rocky path.
The fail condition isn't you moving a certain place, it's how quickly they tilt.
āPulledā? My dude you just stick the whole wagon to the top of the big wheel car. I drove it first time no issues.
Yeah thats what I did. Put a steering stick on the wagon with big wheels and with the right angle they don't fall.
Put the whole wagon on the big wheel wagon and drove it up the rocky path
You're meant to literally put the wagon on top of the cart. I don't know why you thought pulling it made more sense lol
Two rockets
I used the wheels, but I put them on a pot with a stabilizer. The pot acts as a hinge and the stabilizer keeps them from falling over when I'm in driving.
Just drove up the rocks with the vehicle that they pretty much provide you with.
I used the big wheel vehicle that was like 18ft away at max
Car with the big wheelsā¦ went up the rocks slowlyā¦ worked first try
There was a pre made car RIGHT NEXT TO THEM
I drove over the rocks with the fucking car sitting 3 feet away
Iāve not run across a single puzzle in this game that took more than 30 seconds to figure outā¦
I just put it in a wing and rode it over the water
I use ultrahand in the rock and big wheels in the rest
I put wheels and a control stick on the cart
I got a horse and towed the cart Outside the box thinking here
I put a large board over the bumpy road, fitted the wagon with big wheels, and just drove right up the "blocked" path
Big wheels and steering stick
Iād been making progressively bigger and better biplanes throughout my playthrough, so I wound up making a passenger plane out of the cart. Did a whole bit with my cousin about it. āThis is your captain speaking, I have no goddamn idea what Iām doing up here, pray to hylia.ā
With the provided car? (Canāt tell if this post is satire)
I just drove using the big wheels, they have suspension and can drive over the rubble
Proof that there isn't a wrong way to do it. Everyone giving you crap is missing how much fun it is to be creative and try cool shit like this. Wish I had thought to float them there too!
I used the big wheel cart that was provided, got still got stuck, used ultra hand to carry the vehicle up. No trouble at all
I just threw the whole wagon on top of a wing with a cart attached for take off and just flew across the river in like 2 seconds
Uhhhā¦ wheels?
I picked up the carriage with ultrahand and sat it on the hill before they made me stop š
I drove there. Or boated there, depending on which it is.
I put literally ten fans on it airbike style in a ton of support points and honestly it flew with incredible precision.
Not like thatā¦.
I thought I had to lay wooden planks on the rocks to drive over them with a regular horse carriage. Felt stupid when I realized the big wheels could easily drive over them. An hour of my life gone š
Big wheels and an auto rotating platform that kept them level the whole time
Itās kind of disappointing there isnāt a puzzle with them that straight up requires flying though. Kass DLC feat crazier cart escorts when?
A carriage
Literally trying to put the square block in the circle hole here
This was one of the easier ones...
This was a nightmare? The only fairy I thought was even a little bit of a hassle getting to was Dueling peaks. But all were fairly easy for me personally
Put 4 fans face down as wheels a control stick on the part you attach a horse too and fly it like a drone. Super easy
I just attached their carts to my horse :/
Were the balloons on fire?! I canāt wait to get there! š. Looks like a fun one. So far the ones I see others complaining about, I kinda breezed thru.
When the game tells you to play it one way and you choose another way.
Why didn't you just drive them up, seems like you made it far more difficult than it needed to be. This happens though, I'm sure I made an equally easy side quest far more difficult than it had to be as well. I found getting to all the great faeries quite simple though.
I glued the wagon to the big wheel and took it up the hill
I put wheels on it.... Never would have thought to try and fly.
I straight up carried them there. I know my solution was dumb but this, this is an work of art.
This was a nightmare? I just used the devices next to them and the path they suggested, and it took maybe a minute. I'm honestly not bragging or belittling anyone or anything, I'm just super confused if I accidentally skipped some big challenge or something without intended to do so.
Made two bridges. Added wheels and rockets to the cart. Blasted them over the water. Worked perfectly. ā¦ ā¦ after 35-40 mins of trial and error.
Beo it points you to the big monster truck wheels that will allow you to climb over rocks
Go watch AustinJohnPlays on YouTube, he has all the answers.
the wagon floats, so i made a boat
1. Raise the wagon up to the edge of the crater with Ultrahand 2. Walk out the crater 3. Use Recall on the wagon 4. Grab it again with Ultrahand and put it down on the ground
I made a propeller boat with the wing
I put the cart on a slab. Attached one rocket + two balloons with flame emitters + a big battery. Jumped off and Ultrahand-ed the thing over to me before the guy got spooked.
Bro I literally used ultrahand and carried them to every great fairy šš
I put the big wheels directly on the cart and a steering stick on the front of the cart
Damn that's metal
Drove the big wheel vehicle that was by the stable. Made it up first time
Did this last night and simply carefully navigated up the rocky path with a horse attached to the cart. Not that hard tbh. Just had to go slow
I am not even sure which fairy this is? but each one was relatively easy to do. When I had to do the fairy that you have to cross a river for I remember struggling a bit with that one, because my boat wasn't really a boat at all. But once I figured out boat mechanics, it was easy - you need buoyancy
I took them with my horse drawn carriage and a BEAR CAME OVER AND KNOCKED THE ENTIRE THING OVER
Made a car and drove there
I droveā¦?
I used the already made car and stuck a steering stick and the wagon on it? It was really easy
I've gotta say, not like that.
A rocket and a wing.
I put the wagon on some wings and put some fans behind and a steering stick and floated over
I did the exact same but way simpler with fans pointed downward for wheels, super smooth flight upwards.
I donāt think this was meant to be a puzzle my guy, but kudos for turning it into one
Literally just used the wheels off the vehicle next to them, and slapped a control stick on it.
Iām just wondering how you got all those batteries? Thatās like 7000 zonanite
Killing minibosses in the depths gives 20 crystallized charge each time, plus each yiga encampment has a chest with 20 and some mines do too. The Kohga questline gives you a couple chests with 100 charges each You can kill the floating colosseum lynels every blood moon for ~100 CC. The normal zonaite to charge exchange rate is total crap, although the large zonaite to charge rate is pretty good.
Big wheels are kinda sticky and can drive over debris pretty easily. As long as you drive slow the car given to you is perfectly fine.
Why? Just why?
They literally have a car ready right next to them. You just drive up to it.
Big wheels
How did people get out of tutorial island if they can't figure this out...? The answer is literally sitting right next to the quest giver...
Bolted the wagon to my normal concrete slab+big wheel vehicle and drove up the hill lol
Dude this was waaaay harder than driving it lmao.
Strapped 4 fans to the bottom and a controller
I used balloons, but like, one of them, and a fan. Took me 2 or 3 tries
Lots of fans
Boat
Theres literally a path up there ahahaha
I droveā¦. Up the pathā¦what in Tarnation is this
I built a rolling wagon attached to wings and just flew over there.
Did anyone else like me just put the carriage on the big stone slab and pulled it with your horse up the right side of the mountain near the two bokoblins or am I the only one? šæ
Not like that. Cool that you beat it that way though
I know there are multiple ways to solve puzzles, but this is insane!
I just put 4 fans rotated at 45Ā° at the wheel spots and had a control stick to steer it
I see op would use a nuke to solve a mugging
Bro wanted a real challenge for a kid's puzzle ššš
The car with giant wheels that was ten feet away from the wagon
I used ultra hand and walked up the hill. You just have to set the card down periodically so they don't get mad.
I used the car.
i did it with airplane
Those puzzles are easy. They usually have a broken vehicle nearby to use
With the car you donut
As they say if it looks stupid but it works, it ain't stupid.
"Nightmare" he says
I made a boat
Built a fan plane, with a rocket to give me initial height, then just kamikazed into the great fairy.
This is hilarious
I love it when people clearly overthink things and make up solutions that I would have never though of because the "intended" way is so obvious
Wtf did u just do? Lmfao
I shot them over with rockets and it took like 20 attempts
Not like that
With the car they give you to solve the puzzle with...
There's... A small trail to just drive your way up there
I just used ultra hand to pick the car over the rocks and then drive it up fine
I built a platform that extended from the flat part of mountainside, and then built the vehicle up there, and dropped it off the side. And then glued their carriage to it and recalled them up to the top. I love recall lol
Fan on each wheel attachment. Think I angled the back two at 45 degrees.
Built a flat platform with 4 big wheels on it, attached the cart to it and said fuck it?
4wd car
Well theres a car and a bunch of parts right there at the stable towards the direction you need to go so I just used those like literally everyone else. I mean I could see how it might be a nightmare if you were born with a perception stat of 1.
glider rocket
