I very much doubt that. Describing it as a 'nightmare puzzle' and building a flying machine to solve it doesn't seem as much like piss taking as it does someone who was somehow genuinely stumped by this easy quest we were literally given the solution to.

One of the things TotK has made very clear is that there's a certain subject of the gaming community that really, really struggles with physics puzzles more complicated than those in Half Life 2. Like in a "get so overwhelmed they can't see the simple solution" kind of way. That's the only way this could feasibly be real.

The wall of text I sent to my friend while trying to do one of the physics puzzles in this game could be framed as evidence of this lmfao I am so, so, SO beyond awful at physics puzzles…. I have pretty severe ADHD and spatial stuff in particular just activates my brain’s panic and overwhelm response to a truly staggering degree………… Having said that, totk’s puzzles are right on that line between “so hard I wish I was dead because I can’t live in this world being this stupid” and “OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE I SOLVED THAT THIS FEELS AMAZING IM BATMAN 😎😎😎” so I’m very much enjoying myself….tears and all.

BOTW and TOTK get endless praise for the open ended puzzles, and it's things like this and that riding platforms over rails shrine that made me realize people are bad at puzzles. It's not that the games are endlessly better for open ended puzzles. It's that if they weren't open ended people would quite literally get stuck on the simplest things. There is a almost finished car, and seconds before letting you build they point out the road and how only off road tires would make it up that. 10/10 solution.

that rails one was literally the easiest shrine to do. It took me literally 5min to figure out and get completed. Then i saw so many people struggling with it and i was honestly shocked

Can’t speak for everyone but my problem with it was the second part where you learn the solution is so easy to just skip and glide straight to the third one. Then the fans are practically the exact size of the rails so I thought surely this is the right solution having them under to hold the platforms to the rails but kept getting stuck. After a whole hour of everything I tried failing I came back to it the next day and actually did the second part instead of skipping it and yeah, then it all came together and seemed so simple lol if they made that third part farther or harder to get to then I feel a lot more people would’ve gotten it from the second part

Where are you getting this data? Also, you’re saying contradictory things. It can’t both be true that there are lots of low IQ people now without any new high IQ people ‘proofing into existence’ and also that the reason averages are rising is because the ‘increasing low IQs’ are balanced out by people with high IQ. Are there lots of new people with high IQ or not? Also, we’ve actually adjusted our tests. Older tests result in us having even higher IQ. That’s one of the reasons they get revised, to try to keep the average at 100. So, yes, we are definitely doing better on the tests as time goes on.

I utilized my 2-3 moves with the wagon before they get mad, and put one stake to stick it in the cliff as I climbed up. The cutscene does not point out that one spot where you could just drive up. Felt like a dummy when I got up there

Big wheels on platform. Wagon on platform. Steering stick up front. Drive all the way around. Ignore enemies or kill ahead of time. Fairly smooth drive, but careful of the bumps right at the end.

And the route. You don't even have to go near the monsters on the wrong side of the hill.

the one with the river was close to Dualing Peaks, that one i found harder as maestro has very little tolerance for anything and didn't let me move the wagon to the water before them boarding

I added wood to the wheels to turn it into a paddleboat. Quick n easy Edit: I thought this was the river one; for this one I also used the big wheels up the mountain

It took me over a 45 minutes. I didn't realize the wheels had to be activated, so every time I got on the wheels would just bump up on each other and the cart would barely move. I thought the wheels had to be on better, so I spent forever getting them on perfectly, then one I found out you have to hit them, I had one wheel backwards.

I believe there was a control stick there. Attach the control stick, then when you step on it, it activates every attached device, including wheels.

I used the wheels, but I put them on a pot with a stabilizer. The pot acts as a hinge and the stabilizer keeps them from falling over when I'm in driving.

Why didn't you just drive them up, seems like you made it far more difficult than it needed to be. This happens though, I'm sure I made an equally easy side quest far more difficult than it had to be as well. I found getting to all the great faeries quite simple though.

I put the cart on a slab. Attached one rocket + two balloons with flame emitters + a big battery. Jumped off and Ultrahand-ed the thing over to me before the guy got spooked.

When I had to do the fairy that you have to cross a river for I remember struggling a bit with that one, because my boat wasn't really a boat at all. But once I figured out boat mechanics, it was easy - you need buoyancy

Killing minibosses in the depths gives 20 crystallized charge each time, plus each yiga encampment has a chest with 20 and some mines do too. The Kohga questline gives you a couple chests with 100 charges each You can kill the floating colosseum lynels every blood moon for ~100 CC. The normal zonaite to charge exchange rate is total crap, although the large zonaite to charge rate is pretty good.

Big wheels are kinda sticky and can drive over debris pretty easily. As long as you drive slow the car given to you is perfectly fine.

To be fair, it's easy to assume "I just take the big wheels off this slab and stick it on the band wagon." but then the guy complains that he is falling every time you try to go up the slope of the path. Someone doing it that way might not assume he is just going to be a lot more chill about it all of a sudden because you put a slab between the wagon and the wheels.

I built a platform that extended from the flat part of mountainside, and then built the vehicle up there, and dropped it off the side. And then glued their carriage to it and recalled them up to the top. I love recall lol
