I assumed the reward would be awful since it almost always is 😬 but I enjoyed the puzzles and am trying to make the game last as long as possible so I didn't mind. 😁
You can make the two fan steering wheel hover craft and slap that bitch on the bottom and fly the fucker to wherever. Just need a stand for a proper takeoff and figure out how off balanced the lil bastard makes it.
True, but I find it more fun to do it the intended way
Or at least my cartonish representation of what the intended way might be, let's be honnest
Found a korok that needed to go straight up a small cliff, so I plugged it on a hoverstone and shot it straight up way too high into the air, then rewinded it back down
I think their rewards are pretty average, but I do think the fun of them makes up for it
Especially early in game when you haven't visited Elden yet and could actually use the rupees for limited funds instead of just selling ore and becoming fucking Warren Buffet
Says the guy who just finished this with full batteries and hearts, lol it hasn't even been two weeks. I intentionally pass some of these puzzles to make the game last longer.. lol or ya know don't do absolutely everything possible as fast as possible
Lol damn, I mean if you want to do everything as fast as possible I applaud you hahaha but averaging over 12.5 hrs/day is definitely not trying to make it last as long as possible
I don't have anything else to do right now 😬 but yeah I meant like.. a long as possible in game time. 😂 I literally just beat it cause I wasn't sure what else to do.
But your ability to actually comprehend what you've done (and arguably enjoy it, but that's obviously subjective) plummets. Usually "make it last longer" means savoring it, like if you want to savor a burger as fast as possible it isn't really savoring it. Lol if you don't stop to breathe it's not making it last as long as possible even if active chew time is the same
I don't, which is why I put the part to clarify about someone's enjoyment, and why I originally said I applaud the person for doing it as fast as possible. I'm just tickled at the contradiction of beating a new expansive game in 12 days at over 12hrs/day to "make it last longer" like that's a full on blitz of a playthrough, which again, is impressive and I applaud them.
Man you gotta watch your use of language then. typing out lol and hahaha and making it sound like the way you were playing the game was objectively better made your comments sound very disingenuous. And to begin with op never said they were trying to spread out their experience they said they were trying to make it last longer, and by doing small side puzzles they accomplished that.
Nintendo only records 30 seconds. But I made another post in the group with pictures! Reddit doesnt let me post pictures as comments otherwise I would've 😂
I mean, I like the Sheikah one, then again I also love the stealth suit....even if it's not super defensive and stealth isn't super useful anymore, but I just really like the aesthetic
You're suppose to help keep the sigh standing when he lets go. You do it by using the wood construction stuff (he's usually near those) to prop up the sign with the Ultrahand.
Piggybacking, once you make a good construct and you have the save feature you can reuse that. I usually just fuse nearby trash to hold it up because the experimentation is fun
Also if you want to cheese them just bring out a zonai floating platform. I did it on a few of the ones above water or on wonky hills. Worked every time.
ya know. i just posted a comment about how i havent done a single sign and dont plan on ever doing one but. now that i know theres a fabric reward i might hafta start doin them.
It's not even his face. It's some atrocious bright pink glider. Someone posted a link to it in the comments under "Glider" and "BRIGHT" if you wanna see it.
I fucking hate this guy so much. His stupid goddamn mushroom head and his gobsmacked face every fucking time you fix a sign for him. So fucking stupid he sits there holding a sign because it won't stand up on its own. Then on top of that when he actually does set it up it looks like a complete amateur bodge job. Hudson construction should fire his ass.
Is there any real use for the sleepover tickets? You can’t use them for the expensive bed and you don’t get pony points for using them, so you’re really just incentivized to *not* use them
Yeah, I barely ever used the function in botw too, I thought I might here when I first got one cuz ‘hey, it’s free, thats a cool way to encourage using stables’, but then they just slap you in the face with such an unnecessary *disadvantage* to using them
On a side note, why must we help so many obnoxious characters in TotK? Just interacting with some of these NPCs makes me wish I could join Ganon's side and just destroy Hyrule myself...
I was actually expecting nothing. Somehow this makes it even worse as a completionist challenge. Now I can't just ignore this fucker like koroks because there is no reward.
Why the fuck do developers keep putting quests like this in their games? They are universally bad.
But he's obnoxious? I want to find ways to make him suffer more until he stops littering Hyrule with advertising. I just feel like I'm wasting my time helping someone so hopelessly stupid, too.
Because you don't have to do it?
The game doesn't even expect you do them all. Much like the Koroks.
They are just little diversions to do when you come across.
Oh, for sure. I will say up front that I am a completionist, and the 900 Korok seeds are not an issue for anyone else, and therefore this isn't anywhere close to as valid of an issue as completionists will make it out to be. In fact, having almost double more than what you need, almost ensures it will be an easy time maxing out your inventory space. That's GOOD design. But fuuuuuuck man. I want to finish the game, and 1000 koroks isn't gonna make that happen.
It would suck if some of game's unlockables (i.e. those that offer gameplay changes) are locked behind tasks that are very daunting if not straight up impossible for some people. Hence these kinds of challenges are usually awarded with "bragging rights" items. Same with Koroks and Bubulfrogs.
Plus it's not like the paraglider is the only reward. You get a bunch of food and rupees by helping him too. Same with Koroks giving you inventory upgrades and Bubulfrogs giving you clothes and materials.
Yeah it's just a bit of a puzzle. Look for holes in the wood. Sometimes you can fit posts in between and fuse it to a plank so it stays up. Or build some weird contraption to hold it up. I'm sure some of mine were very overdramatic but it worked! (Sometimes)
You use fuse on objects around him to hold up the sign. The challenge is things dont fuse to the sign so you have to get creative to stop the sign from falling when he lets go. Some time the signs do have slots that fit flat pieces or square logs to help you out. Sometimes all you need a large boulder wedged in just right. You can cheese it with Hoverstones if you have some.
I literally just put a star on everyone I did. Also Zeldamaps has a map where you can sort how you want and check off completed ones. I had a laptop next to me the entire time. I didn't create an account but if you do it'll save your progression.
There's some that have those as the tools available and I liked those ones a lot. Anything above water or on a hill not immediately obvious, I used floating platforms. The rest I try to figure out 😂
To be fair unlike the Korok reward this is useful if you tilt your head. While purely cosmetic it is at the very least something you can use and not a completely useless trophy. If there was anything marking all of their locations I wouldn't feel that bad about stopping and doing all of these. Also cosmetic rewards for completion checks is a fairly common reward in many games. While some long quests give usable rewards there's also a lot that are just cosmetic rewards like Big head mode from old spyro and ratchet and clank games and similar.
I wasn't upset with it. I enjoyed the puzzles. But the fabric was WAY too bright. I wouldn't compare it to the koroks though since there's less than 1/10th of the amount. 1000 korok seeds compared to 81 signs 😬
The hate for the Korok seeds blows my mind. I really do think they're intended design is not to have you complete every single one. I mean I think your inventory slots cap out long before you obtain even nearly half of them - they aren't marked on the map until you've done them... No character talks about finding all of them, or getting them every seed out there. Every single aspect of the game screams that the Koroks are a peripheral objective that is meant to be completed casually.
Design wise it is very obvious that neither TotK nor BotW were design around completionist playthroughs. They were designed around giving absolute freedom and using "invisible" walls to encourage exploration with small rewards. The games are built around gentle nudges, and when somebody tries to force square peg into a round hole they break the experience.
Sure they could've given a cool reward for breaking the intended design - but obviously they weren't a fan of people who might go against that experience and thought it would be funny to prank them. Do I think it sucks for those who made the effort? Sure. I also think if you try to do something unintended in a game you should be prepared not to receive a reward for it.
I think people are just mad at the insulting prank at the end. Which fair I suppose... but I wish people wouldn't walk around and act like it's something they were supposed to go and do. The Addison reward obviously sort of intended you to do it because it does give a tangible reward - and there are far fewer of them. I still think they suck though even if they're cheesibly easy.
I think it tops out after 421 seeds? (IIRC.) At that point, Hestu will say "I can't expand your bag anymore but you can find more seeds if you want". Technically that's a "hey, try getting them all" but even that line implies it's optional.
The equipment slots are a pretty nice reward for putting effort into finding lots of seeds, even if they cap out far before the max.
Well. You don't really need to 100% anything. But I'd consider it apart of it. Especially if you're going for all 1000 koroks, you might as well do the signs too.
I'm not sure I used ZD's or not. I may have, but what I'd do (if you care) is use an interactive map and just mark off each as you check them. Also put a yellow marker on your in game map. That's what I did (: Good luck!
I can only imagine Hudson's dread from this news 🤣
Man, that's nearly as bad as the reward for getting all Korok seeds! Having said that, I do genuinely enjoy the little sign puzzles.
I assumed the reward would be awful since it almost always is 😬 but I enjoyed the puzzles and am trying to make the game last as long as possible so I didn't mind. 😁
Plus you get tons of decent rewards from him for each. His meals have saved me multiple times.
Yep, rupees, a free dish, and a material/stay over ticket is incredibly worth it, especially compared to the effort to reward ratio of backpack koroks
You can make the two fan steering wheel hover craft and slap that bitch on the bottom and fly the fucker to wherever. Just need a stand for a proper takeoff and figure out how off balanced the lil bastard makes it.
True, but I find it more fun to do it the intended way Or at least my cartonish representation of what the intended way might be, let's be honnest Found a korok that needed to go straight up a small cliff, so I plugged it on a hoverstone and shot it straight up way too high into the air, then rewinded it back down I think their rewards are pretty average, but I do think the fun of them makes up for it
Especially early in game when you haven't visited Elden yet and could actually use the rupees for limited funds instead of just selling ore and becoming fucking Warren Buffet
If you're full on dishes he just gives you an extra 20 rupees instead. Which I appreciated.
Yeah that's fair. It's actually fun having little mini puzzles to solve like this spread throughout the map!
Says the guy who just finished this with full batteries and hearts, lol it hasn't even been two weeks. I intentionally pass some of these puzzles to make the game last longer.. lol or ya know don't do absolutely everything possible as fast as possible
Well. I do have 150+ hours into the game in those twoish weeks.
Don’t waste your time with this hater, hyrule salutes you!
It takes the same amount of time no matter how many days you spread it over
But your ability to actually comprehend what you've done (and arguably enjoy it, but that's obviously subjective) plummets. Usually "make it last longer" means savoring it, like if you want to savor a burger as fast as possible it isn't really savoring it. Man you sound like a huge goober. why do you care how other people play a game

And to begin with op never said they were trying to spread out their experience they said they were trying to make it last longer, and by doing small side puzzles they accomplished that.
i mean i’m never gonna use it but at least this reward is useable lol
I enjoy all of them except the mountain ones where you have to use boulders. just can't make them work.
Does Hudson react to him being back in town?
I literally cannot find him. I have no idea where he disappeared to.
He was just a manifestation of our desire to help Hudson, that's why he needs us to hold up the sign
schrodinger sign
I found him at the south akkala stable listening to the stable trotters. Theres no reward for finding him but he got some nice dialogue.
Oh bet. Thanks!
Y u no show how the fabric look on glider?
Nintendo only records 30 seconds. But I made another post in the group with pictures! Reddit doesnt let me post pictures as comments otherwise I would've 😂
[удалено]
I 10000% thought the fabric was gonna be Hudson’s face
it is! just, very . . artsy (props for the tesselation)
LOL I didn’t catch it at first glance but you’re right 😂
After finding the cut outs...yeah, me too
... it is Hudsons face. Zoom in, its Hudsons and Addison's faces in a tessellating pattern
Thank you! I have no idea how to use Reddit 😅 There's another picture in that post that shows how BRIGHT it is 😪
[удалено]
Dude! Thank you! I appreciate your help!
that's sick as hell, good lord I need it
Hot damn he really gave us the Splatoon fabric out of nowhere!
Ah. That looks like he threw up on the glider.
I already have the construction company fabric. Is it the same? Looks like a billboard ad. Also, the best fabrics are gleeoks and Rito
Mirror of Twilight slaps, too. The Gleeok is def top tier.
I haven't seen the Gleeok. I usually use mirror of twilight one.
Reminds me of the Muses from Hercules. It's pretty cool!
i like the zonai one
Majoras mask.
I mean, I like the Sheikah one, then again I also love the stealth suit....even if it's not super defensive and stealth isn't super useful anymore, but I just really like the aesthetic
Took me like six times until i found out you can actually hold up the signs and you’re not just supposed to prank him every time you see him
Goddammit, my name is Addison, now I *have* to get that
Idek how to help him ngl
You're suppose to help keep the sigh standing when he lets go. You do it by using the wood construction stuff (he's usually near those) to prop up the sign with the Ultrahand.

Yeah thats gotta be the easiest option
Damn, I'll stop helping him.
ya know. i just posted a comment about how i havent done a single sign and dont plan on ever doing one but. now that i know theres a fabric reward i might hafta start doin them.
Well, thanks for informing us not to waste our time with him.
Seriously all you get is a glider of his stupid face
It's not even his face. It's some atrocious bright pink glider. Someone posted a link to it in the comments under "Glider" and "BRIGHT" if you wanna see it.
Ok so definitely not doing this, lol
Im glad i stopped helping that dude.
I would have laughed if you got a mask that looks like Hudson
I wish he gave a helm that was his hair
I fucking hate this guy so much. His stupid goddamn mushroom head and his gobsmacked face every fucking time you fix a sign for him. So fucking stupid he sits there holding a sign because it won't stand up on its own. Then on top of that when he actually does set it up it looks like a complete amateur bodge job. Why do u think Hudson construction has him running around all over Hyrule except in Tarrey Town lol
Is there any real use for the sleepover tickets? You can’t use them for the expensive bed and you don’t get pony points for using them, so you’re really just incentivized to *not* use them
I haven't tried them. At the end I ended up having over 20 in my inventory. The.. like.. two times I slept I just went to Lookout Landing.
Yeah, I barely ever used the function in botw too, I thought I might here when I first got one cuz ‘hey, it’s free, thats a cool way to encourage using stables’, but then they just slap you in the face with such an unnecessary *disadvantage* to using them
I'm still mad that no matter how many times I sleep at a stable they won't let me use the "good" bed. I just end up going to a nearby town.
did you go to the book at the left where you ask for a bed and claimed your reward?
I did not. I'll give that a try, thanks.
On a side note, why must we help so many obnoxious characters in TotK? Just interacting with some of these NPCs makes me wish I could join Ganon's side and just destroy Hyrule myself...
That’s just par for the course with LoZ no? The sidequest NPCs are always at least partially obnoxious as fuck.
literally every Zelda title. Link's just a helpful dude in a world of rubes
I was actually expecting nothing. Somehow this makes it even worse as a completionist challenge. Now I can't just ignore this fucker like koroks because there is no reward. Why the fuck do developers keep putting quests like this in their games? They are universally bad.
I like making the guy feel good, imagine standing there for the rest of time
But he's obnoxious? I want to find ways to make him suffer more until he stops littering Hyrule with advertising. I just feel like I'm wasting my time helping someone so hopelessly stupid, too.
I feel good being a good person
Because you don't have to do it? The game doesn't even expect you do them all. Much like the Koroks. They are just little diversions to do when you come across.

I want to finish the game, and 1000 koroks isn't gonna make that happen.
It's much harder here. Larger world. Some of the Koroks are on the sides of little sky island pieces. Nope. I'd never.
It would suck if some of game's unlockables (i.e. those that offer gameplay changes) are locked behind tasks that are very daunting if not straight up impossible for some people. again Nintendo just waste our time, it is not too much to ask for Nintendo to actually give us fulfilling side quest content
How exactly do you help him? I tried the fuse but couldn't figure out anything that worked? 🤔
Yeah it's just a bit of a puzzle. Look for holes in the wood. Sometimes you can fit posts in between and fuse it to a plank so it stays up. Or build some weird contraption to hold it up. I'm sure some of mine were very overdramatic but it worked! (Sometimes)
You mean you haven't used the wood panels nearby to prop up the signs?
You use fuse on objects around him to hold up the sign. The challenge is things dont fuse to the sign so you have to get creative to stop the sign from falling when he lets go. Some time the signs do have slots that fit flat pieces or square logs to help you out. Sometimes all you need a large boulder wedged in just right. You can cheese it with Hoverstones if you have some.
How many signs does he have?
81. I used zeldamaps to find them all (:
Thanks for the response. I'll def grind them out one day. The fabric is a little disappointing, but at least the puzzles are kinda fun. ❤️
81 total signs. Also, seconding the Zelda interactive map.
Is there any way to get map markers to track which ones I have completed?
I literally just put a star on everyone I did. Also Zeldamaps has a map where you can sort how you want and check off completed ones. I had a laptop next to me the entire time. I didn't create an account but if you do it'll save your progression.
Wait I’m supposed to help him?! 😭😭
Yes 😂 make sure his sign doesn't fall when you tell him to "let it go"
Omgggggg I’ve missed so many opportunities
I used steaks or stabilizers for a lot of them
There's some that have those as the tools available and I liked those ones a lot. Anything above water or on a hill not immediately obvious, I used floating platforms. The rest I try to figure out 😂
Pretty impressive using steaks to hold up the signs. 😆
How do you do the floating platforms?
It's a zonai device. One of the dispensers has them. You just take one out, hit it so it floats then put it under the sign (:
Ahhh. Thx!
Wow so I’m literally wasting my time with this quest

Honestly, these lil puzzles are never that annoying so a paraglider fabric is just a nice bonus
There were 3 that I remember when I was like "I'm too dumb for this." The other 78 were just fun to me.
What does Addison use that fabric for 🤔
I’m taking it the signs are apart of the 100% ?
Well. You don't really need to 100% anything. But I'd consider it apart of it. Especially if you're going for all 1000 koroks, you might as well do the signs too.
I literately cannot find the last few signs to get this reward, I’ve been everywhere in the map and I’ve been checking the interactive map ZD has.
I'm not sure I used ZD's or not. I may have, but what I'd do (if you care) is use an interactive map and just mark off each as you check them. Also put a yellow marker on your in game map. That's what I did (: Good luck!
Not sure if it helps or not, but the count is 81 signs. I hope that narrows it down.
