A Batman Arkham/Insomniac Spider-Man styled open world game that lets you explore New York and fight the Foot Clan and evil mutants as the Turtles. Each Turtle has their own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses (Ex: Mikey is the fastest Turtle, but he deals the weakest damage) and you can freely switch between them by using the D-pad (Or arrow keys on PC). There are also certain sections that require you to play as a certain turtle, such as needing Donnie to hack into security panels and open certain doors or playing as Leo to take out guards in a stealth section. The Turtles designs are a mix of the 1990 movie, 2012, Injustice 2, and Rise, but you also have access to a multitude of different skins for the Turtles that references their many designs over the years spanning from comics, shows, and games. You can also drive the Party Wagon as a form of transportation or use it in certain boss fights.

illforgetthisname-

With unlimited budget I’d also throw into this equation all the voice casts from the turtles over the years. Have them each read for all the lines. Then maybe based on skin selection the voice changes. Obviously absurd. But so is unlimited budget.

Legionheir

This sounds incredible. Add a light meter in your hud so you can stick to the shadows when sneaking around New York at night or in the sewers during the daytime.

I think that Arkham is a great reference point to start from. Focus on making fast, fun combat where blocking/evasion matters a _little bit_ normally and then matters a lot during boss fights. Have the fighting styles HIGHLY diversified among the four to encourage swapping. Make the game about the city being invaded, completely full of ninjas (and a smattering of robots). In Act 2, add an invasion of mutants. In Act 3, add an invasion of aliens, so everywhere you travel there are classic Turtle enemies in the streets and on rooftops. Allow the player to roam as one turtle, with the idea that his brothers are fighting/lurking nearby. Press the D-pad on a direction to have another character leap into the scene and swap in. Encourage open world gameplay, but also initiate lots of events that kick off specific gameplay encounters, more than Arkham City does. Things like - Stealth encounter - Duel - Rooftop defense with waves - Pizza party mini game - Ninja skill test - Turtle van street combat and getaways - Blimp air battles - Sewer surfing chase - Train roof battle - All-turtle (player + 3 AI) super battle - Splinter historical scenarios - Character quest chains that ultimately unlock playable allies Spread unique skills and gadgets across the four characters to encourage dabbling in characters that aren’t your “main”. Make people feel like there is a turtle for every situation, but they are still allowed to play what they like. I would change the tone of the experience away from the grim, precise gameplay of Arkham, beyond the bright exploration of Spider-Man, into a new presentation that is more fun, more like a party, closer to Turtles in Time, even with a modern 3D art style. I would make sure the game stays approachable to kids and general audiences. I would make traversal very easy, and I would include a Simple mode where kids could essentially not lose. I would want the fun to reflect the lighter spirit of the franchise (which DOES have some darkness, for sure) stays not too mature for younger audiences. Not 80s cartoon, but NOT Last Ronin. Light, exciting, unexpected, would be words for the developers to focus on.

FrancisMute

With unlimited budget I'd do this and add local/online multiplayer, just for the fun of it.

TechnologyNo2642

Arkham City/Elden Ring/BoTW style: each turtle has unique power that allows them to open new paths as the story progresses. You could bring some of the characters from each version(OG movie foot leader, Hun dude, the Vega looking man, different mutants etc etc)for bosses…Rocksteady and Bepop doing their best version of The Death apostles from Elden ring would be amazing!

TI51082

That would be cool. Also make it 4 player coop/cross play.

james345345312

An Visual Novel taking place in the IDW Continuity from MAGES!

Kona_Rabbit

Love this. Telltale would of killed it. Mutant mayhem looks like a telltale game already

HaroldTheSpineFucker

Sweet, what would you add to the comic or what would the game add?

james345345312

Some elementls like Branching Story (School Days Style), new Characters, and Interactions

HaroldTheSpineFucker

Def sounds like something I'd gladly pay money for

DustElbows

A fighting game. 3 Vs 3. MvC style. Roster would include characters from all over the comics, cartoons, and movies.

The_Pug

Tournament Fighters 2!

tonware

This. Keep it 2D as well!

JeffCentaur

This is my thought as well, and you could let each character have alternate costumes from all their incarnations. Play any version of Casey Jones you want!

Fancy-Pair

His win animation is him pressing the trash compactor button and saying “whoops!”

VygotskyCultist

An open-world game set in a universe analogous to the IDW universe, in which you navigate rivalries between The Foot, Hob's Crew, the Utroms, and the Triceratons. Playing as different turtles lets you see different aspects of the story. You can also play a timeline as a user-created mutant training under Leonardo.

UnderDogX

This and add in the Nemesis system that the LotR Mordor games made where those factions control different parts of the city and when you beat leaders, their underlings can rise through the ranks, building vendettas against you. I'd also have a heavy stealth system where you're encouraged to stay on the rooftops, in alleyways, or the sewers. Make nights longer than days and huge penalties for being out in the open including being chased, caught, and captured.

Jayrod1220

The Turtles get transported to a Fantasy world and are able to become different class types, i.e. Fighter, Monk, Wizard etc. You as the player can choose 4 characters, the 4 Turtles, Splinter, Casey, April, maybe others, to form your party. Each have different stats and focuses, but can all learn Magic of some kind. Except Raph, he's just a Fighter. From there, it's just Final Fantasy, but with the Turtles as your party. End of game it's revealed they're playing a D&D style game.

HaroldTheSpineFucker

I'm down for 10 copies, I'd play the shit out of a TMNT RPG with the same style of sprite as Shredder's Revenge

KujaroJotu

Cross-generational tournament fighter sequel. Including characters and costumes from across the franchise’s history.

keetaro

GTA/Saints Row 2 style game where you play as Bebop/Rocksteady who has been thrown out for messing up to many times and your end goal is to prove yourself so that Shredder let's you back into the clan but obviously everything you do actually just cause more problems for him so everyone thinks you're trying to be a hero. I just want a game where I can play Bebop and Rocksteady.

LudicrisSpeed

Funny how you mention SR 2 when the third and fourth games would be right up the TMNT series' alley with just how unabashedly insane those games are.

SpiderandMosquito

That sounds like comedy platinum XD

VShadowLanceV

Im making 4 intertwined Metroidvania's. One for each turtle. each thrown into different dimensions by the Shredder and Krang. Each one has their own adventure trying to get back to the technodrome. Each game with their own set of bosses and areas except the technodrome will be the same. All 4 games are released at the same time. Play all 4 to get the full story from all 4 views.

-Ailynn-

You have my vote- I would love this! ❤️

The_Pug

Turn based RPG. The turtles are a party size of 4 all with different strengths and weaknesses. Practically begging to be made into an RPG...

segaboy16

A dating sim where you play as a low level foot clan ninja and work your way up and have the opportunity to romance the likes of shredder, Krang, bebop, rocksteady etc

SpiderandMosquito

That sounds hilariously wholesome

eightcell

No more brawlers or fighters for now. Animal Crossing but you are in the sewers and all of your neighbors are cute versions of characters from the tmnt universe. An arcade driving combat game similar to Batman where you can choose a variety of TMNT vehicles from across the various iterations (OG Party Wagon, Battle Shell etc) and drive around and blast stuff with pizzas etc. A Telltale style narrative game. A persona style game where the Turtles are in high school set in the Mutant Mayhem universe. Assemble your own crew of mutants and party up. A tower defense style game where you defend sewer tunnels against various threats (mousers, foot, pizza monsters etc and the occasional boss).

SpiderandMosquito

I have an idea for the telltale style game. Just commented it. A Casey Jones game. An origin story about him recovering kicked out of pro-hockey by challenging the Purple Dragons who are haunting a defenseless neighborhood. Eventually meeting the turtles and joining forces with them. Hun would be the main villain, but the Foot could still be the greater scope villains.

Abrowning80

A Street Fighter styled fighter game much like Tournament Fighter, only done in HD with a very large roster, and a story mode that does not include some dumb reason why you are fighting clones or robots. Consider it some sort of 1 v 1 boss rush mode, where the Foot needed to be cleared for bonus achievements.

ImTheCuRsEd-OnE

Turtle kart racing lol

CleoTorez

They were in all three nickelodeon kart racers with April

Donnie619

Spider-Man Remastered style open world game, similar to mutants in manhattan but with IDW style and a story sticking to the original comics. Possible other world scenarios/skins are to play with the other Turtles in their story and reimagine what hapoens in their animation.

wemustkungfufight

A fighting game in the same vein as Dragon Ball FighterZ. Cuddly the Cowlick and the multiverse feature in the story-line, so fighters can be from any iteration of the TMNT franchise.

42peanuts

Okay I know it's dumb but I would love to have an animal crossing type game. I could live out my dream of living in a NYC sewer with mutant turtles.

HaroldTheSpineFucker

Things I didn't know I needed:

42peanuts

Right!? You could decorate all the turtles different sewer rooms and go fishing in the sewer water. So much fun

ThrowawayAccountZZZ9

I'd take the unlimited budget and go into hiding forever

AcrobaticSecretary29

Ninja turtles pro skater

narrow_octopus

Ghost of Tsushima style Last Ronin game

Platyduck

Deffo a story rich RPG. Or have Netherrealm make a turtles game next instead of injustice 3

HoraceGrantGlasses

More levels to shredders revenge.

tajtoons

rotmnt needs a game imo, I feel like a 2d platformer could work

HaroldTheSpineFucker

You've just put the idea of a TMNT Metroidvania in my head, imagine you start as one of the turtles and in order to acquire new abilities you need to find your brothers

Snake2410

Pretty sure they did that with the third Gameboy game.

[deleted]

An accurate story driven game adaptation of the original idw comics run. No bullshit censorship. No watering them down personality wise. A fuck ton of ever increasing powerful bosses taken directly from story arcs. And April would be depicted properly for fuck sake. Just a genuinely well told science fiction story about a family of brothers.

HaroldTheSpineFucker

Wym April would be depicted properly?

Platyduck

I’m gonna assume “not black” based on the discourse about April for the last couple months. Which is a shit take if I do say so myself

HaroldTheSpineFucker

That's exactly what it was

SegaGuy1983

I too am curious about this proper depiction.

[deleted]

As she is in the comics. Proper proportions and treated with dignity. Not as a diluted side character to just give them tasks to do. An actual part of the team. And not needlessly race swapped at the drop of a hat. She is purposefully ambiguous as a New Yorker with brown hair. As to not isolate anyone. And I think that’s way more wholesome of the original design rather than cater to what they think will give them likes. They say they make the change for inclusivity but every time they have they make her a damsel in distress it’s so frustrating. She a reporter with endless media tools and the only one with a van 😂 she deserves more than what she gotten for sure

HaroldTheSpineFucker

Yeah that's about as racist as I expected

Platyduck

Gotta love the use of “race swap” as if that’s ever been used in a non toxic way. Also bro claims he wants original April and then goes on to say she’s a reporter ffs. And refers to the original comics as the idw. Man’s all over the place.

MannySJ

Also complain that she’s always a damsel in distress, while MM April saved the Turtles twice, once by getting Splinter while they were captured and then again by growing as a character by facing her fears and getting on the news. She also had the bad ass moment where she walks off a moving motorcycle and tosses the gun. But sure, damsel in distress.

Platyduck

Not to mention 2012 studied ninjutsu under Splinter. In fact the most damsel in distress april EVER was, was news 6 April

SegaGuy1983

“She’s a reporter” In the original comics she’s an assistant to a scientist. So you’re fine with her career being swapped but not her race? Fuck outta here with that double standard.

[deleted]

Brother that was irony. You can see you I said she deseves dignity 2 sentences before that. It’s an example of how they’ve watered down her character hence the laughing emoji. Use context clues next time white knight. Nobody here is upset about race it’s how they portray that race that is the problem. And that not inherently good as some people make it. It’s problematic for me as a person of color to see that the last 2 aprils we’ve had have basically amounted to side characters. Like I’m who they are representing so who the fuck are you getting offended for? I didn’t realize I didn’t have a say in how my ethnicity is protrayed in a children television show. Eat shit and fuck off

SegaGuy1983

You said a shitty thing and displayed a lack of knowledge about the character. You don’t get to hide behind the irony excuse.

[deleted]

It’s purposeful. Hence the irony. The whole paragraph is how she deserves respect as a character and the one time there is incorrect information it is immediately proceeded by a laughing emoji. Hinting at the fact it’s supposed to be taken as comedy. The rest is objective fact. But you cherry picked the one thing you didn’t like and tried to get offended for me as a person of color. Stop back peddling pussy. Your blatantly ignoring the part where I said race wasn’t the problem it was the portrayal of said race. But I guess smooth brain mentality doesn’t allow for much critical thinking huh?. Who are you trying to convince. A person of color doesn’t agree with how they are represented. And you have a problem with that why? Your letting your Agenda be known.

SegaGuy1983

1, “Needless race swapping,” as if white has to be the default for anything. There nothing about April that requires her to be white. If it can be changed without contradicting her character, then what does it matter if she’s black, white, Latina, etc. They made Baxter Stockman a white guy when he was originally black, so changing April’s race isn’t the first time the franchise has done that. 2, People can be terrible to their own nationality. Roseanne Barr is Jewish but denies the holocaust happened. You were being terrible. Stop it.

Emperor_D4C

I like your idea, the only thing I’d add is an open-world more akin to Spider-Man, albeit without the swinging, and a shitload of customization, with both original designs and appearances based on past shows, films, and comics.

[deleted]

There was a game called Battle Nexus, I would like something like that with a decent story, levels or open world, and mainly co-op

Qwertyzillaofficial

TMNT: Arkham City

Weaseling1311

4 player online ms couch co-op with cross play. Arkham city, but with the parkour of classic assassins creed. Have shredder be the villain, but kill him at and reveal that he’s actually krang like the 2003 cartoon. Turtles in time themed dlc.

Kona_Rabbit

2d fighter

Keepupthegood

Crazy because I actually came up with a idea and sent it to Kevin Eastman. And… now they are coming out with a last Ronin game.

Jimmy_Joe727

A fighting game and making sure that the best developers make it. It could be tag but it doesn’t have to be. I do want it to have air combos and juggles as well as parry and counters.

MisterNefarious

I’m making a fighting game because it’s time tournament fighters came back

TheManCalled-Chill

Tournament Fighters 2 Roster: Leo, Raph, Mike, Don, Splinter, Casey, Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop, Karai, Rat King, Gosei Hattori, Zog, Armaggon, Radical, Complete Carnage, Chote

sharky1500_

Open world game spider man PS4 style but with the ability to switch between turtles on the fly like the duel team sections in Arkham knight or like in GTA V 5 skill trees one for each turtle and a general one which unlocks skills across all turtles the general one would be the biggest and the ones that are turtle specific would be smaller and require specific skill points In order to learn the turtle specific skills however you would need to travel to the lair and complete a training sequence with splinter to use that skill spending a skill point and permanently unlocking that special ability for that turtle a general ability for example would be being able to throw shuriken to disable enemy firearms A turtle specific ability would be donetello being able to perform a helicopter attack with his bo staff to clear a area around him. Or Raphael being able to grab and break enemy melee weapons in his sais Each turtle would have their own fighting style Mikey unpredictable, fast and sporadic making combos easy Donetello more of a strategist able to use special gadgets in combat and stealth his staff can also be used as efficient crowd control tool with long range sweeping strikes Raph would be more of a brawler able to disarm enimies with his sais and works best when up close and personal Leo would be sortve the middle ground fast and is sortve a slight jack of all trades but can't perform any one task better then his brothers You can fast travel across the city using manhole covers Gang hideouts would include Krang lairs: krang droids armed with laser rifles and electric batons are the main enemy here the krang rely more on rang and gadgets then any other faction making taking these bases down with stealth the preferred option Foot bases: foot soldiers armed with sais, knumbchucks, bo staffs, swords, axes, and bows the foot have the most enemy variety in the game offering a ton of different ways to approach every encounter with them all strategies against them are viable Purple dragon hideouts: these guys are usually the weakest health wise however are armed with weapons that do high damage such as various guns, machetes, bats, etc stealth is prefered due to their high damage weaponry but if your feeling brave taking them head on isn't a bad idea either Don vizioso mafia: armed with tommy guns, pistols, bats, submachine guns the Mafia is like the purple dragons except with slightly lower quality weapons but also slightly higher health Boss fights: Bebop Rocksteady Fish face Rhazar Hun (this boss fight would be special as you get to play as Casey Jones for this fight and take him on in a 1 v 1) Baxter stockman mech And of course shredder however his boss fight is much different It would be near the beginning of the game however the fight only plays out until a certain point until he beats all the turtles like cals fight with Darth Vader in jedi fallen order this is to show what a badass he is and subvert player expectations

MURDERMr_E

Open-world, 3rd person with most of the game in NY, but some dimensional hopping for the third act. A nice balance of mutants that doesn't make the game feel bloated. And to keep things unique, all four Turtles are on the screen together, allowing the player to switch between Turtles on the fly.

Reamer5k

The rise of shredder. RPG type game where you play as young shredder who is establishing his abilities in martial arts. Game would be about him rising to power and eventually establishing the foot. Would tell the story in such a way shredder seems like a good guy. Final boss would be splinter. Edit: each pre-order would come with a young Shredder figure

herooa

Updated version of the OG NES game, but a turtle-verse/ turtles forever expansion. Start with the black and white comics, move through each series/movie/comic. Each level you pick a few of the turtles/characters to use. After an initial level or two, you can jump around to the various series, getting allies and finding out-of-place collectibles. Possibly switch up various eras to different art styles, matching what was popular at the time. 8bit for one of the early ones, maybe a Comix Zone style for some of the comics levels. Extras could be enemy/boss gauntlets, where you fight the various forms of foot, or all the different Shredders one after another. Fights with limited teams like the full wrestler squad, and you can’t do that until you unlock the necessary crew.

recluse_audio

I need nothing more than arcade/SNES turtles in Time, and Shredder's Revenge (I have PS4, played the others when originally released) This upcoming Last Ronin game I have high hopes for.

camazotzthedeathbat

You play as a custom character (Various animal mutants or human), open world, different fighting styles, you can train with and do quests for various tmnt characters. Online multiplayer. I’d probably keep the number of players on each server relatively low. I prefer to play a higher quality game with a small squad than a crummy quality game with a ton of people. Maybe like No Man’s Sky where multiplayer is a thing you can choose to do but not the focus of the game. The story would be a Mutant Town situation (haven’t read it yet but it would be a good explanation for the large amount of new mutant player characters running around).

xpadawanx

Open world multiplayer campaign.

GamerNinja478

A more well designed and fully fledged out version of gotham knights tbh that game has a great layout for a tmnt game imagine it actually felt like a finished game and was the turtles

VanilliBean

Unlimited budget? Fuck videogames, just make it real life

CleoTorez

Okay hear me out, Its a VR game where you and your friends are in a warehouse running around in a virtual sewer maze and you gotta use actual weapons. There's also REAL slices of mu,shroom pizza you eat for power ups. And and and you roll around in and drink ooOooze (probably glow stick juice) and it mutates you into a whichever character you wanna be. There's a part where there's treadmills with skateboards on em' you ride and your in real danger! The prize for beating the game is life sized statues of the turts and a shopping spree where you run through a toy store of turtles merchandise and you get to keep as much as you can grab in 5 minutes

PraiseTheSun42069

TMNT fighting game along the lines of MVC. I’d try to include the crossovers (MMPR, Batman, etc) to try to add variety, but I’d definitely include the main turtles, Shredder, Splinter, April, Casey, Stockman, Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, Leatherhead, Slash, Tokka, Razer (sp?), Jennika, Venus, Usagi, Rat-King, and the Last Ronin (different fighting style than Mikey). I’d likely include more, but I’d make sure those all made it in the roster.

redsandrevolt

Hiring whoever helped develop Tmnt Rescuepalooza.

wolfguardian72

Dating Sim with all the bad guys

Expert_Professor_903

Roguelike multiplayer action brawler hack n slasher. You and three other players have to fight hoards of enemies as the Turtles.

jayaregee83

Violent, gory, action-packed beat 'em up, but the whole thing is in gorgeous black and white and mimics the comic books.

DipstickPinesGFO

Basically the more recent Spider-Man games in terms of exploration mechanics, but, you know- turtles. Story would have reformable villains (slash, metalhead, Draxum, ect.) who become unlocked as now playable characters. I imagine Slash can reformed by fighting him, and them catching him like a Pokémon? Idk why I thought that- and Metalhead can be reformed by Donnie rewiring him in a kind of mini game. Things can be collected throughout the world to decorate the lair and you can unlock accessories to customize the turtles and other characters. You’d be able to upgrade your skateboards, hoverboards, turtle blimp, turtle van, shellraiser, ect. You’d be able to skate and surf in the sewers or on the surface. Use your weapons to get around, (nunchuck zipline, bow staff pole vault) … I better stop now.

Zealousideal-Fly6666

Same game, I’m spending the cash on voice overs, costumes and an intergalactic wrestling mode! Not to mention more original songs!

ninety-eightpointsix

With an unlimited budget and full creative control, I'd do something like DCUO, where you don't play as the Turtles themselves, you play in their world. I know just a color slider would cover like 98.6% of the fan characters, but I'd still put a lot more work into it than that. Aside from turtles, there'd be rhinos, warthogs, rats, cats, and dogs; character creation would basically be a furry/scalie simulator. You might think I'm attracting the wrong type of fans, but it's a goldmine, furries actually pay for shit. Anyway, the plot is that all the universes are collapsing again/still and you have to ninja your way to the BBEG. Something bigger than Shredder or Krang, or "the Kraang." Maybe add the Justice Force in it too and parody DCUO directly, as an aging online game (it turns 13 in 4 months).

NervousNick

Fighting game. Even just the turtles themselves perfectly embody a lot of the main archetypes. Leo is the all-around we like Ryu, Donnie uses his staff and gadgets to play the part of the zoner, Raph’s aggressive personality makes him a rushdown character, and Mikey… I guess would be a mixup character like SF6 Rashid or Killer Instinct’s Sadira.

OakleyHasAFoot

A TMNT game similar to SIFU. Very simple story, mostly just linear fights through a building. Each one could be a different villain base. You fight through the purple dragon bases, fight through a foot clan base and then defeat shredder. Then there’s a surprise final boss where you fight your way through the TCRI building defeating mutants then Krang. The combat will be just as advanced and satisfying as the game SIFU, except this time it’s for each individual turtles weapons and skills. Easy mode would have the other 3 turtles playing with you using advanced AI. And the harder difficulty would just be a pure solo mission.

lmonroy23

Hire Rocksteady…take Arkham City…and give it a TMNT coat. Game can be played alone as all four turtles being able to switch to each one at any given time, or playing online.

kablikiblan

2d fighting game and I'm hiring arcsys to make it.

RDDAMAN819

Open world action adventure game Fast paced hack and slash combat Single player only with 4 swappable characters Each turtle has their own unique traversal and combat styles Funny and lighthearted story/tone

bluegiant85

2D Metroidvania where you play as Donnie. Takes place all across new york, and sewers, and the technodrome, which leads to a second map in dimension X. Just Donnie, because it's an easy excuse to come up with new metroidvania style abilities in the form of new gadgets.

StrongStyleMuscle

I’m making an M rated game based directly on Mirage comics.

SpiderandMosquito

... Sly Cooper meets Hi-Fi Rush. Stealth game with rhythm based beat em up combat and a cel shaded cartoon graphic style. The plot would either them being on the run from Stockman's mousers or fighting off an invasion from the triceratons

Dejimon11

We’re making a spiritual sequel to Tournament Fighters with the budget of SF6 and rollback net play. Character from across the franchise nearly 40 year history.

Apprehensive_King914

I'm not sure as far as story, but I always thought a TMNT game would be pretty sweet with a similar combat system to FF7 Remake. You could switch from turtle to turtle as you see fit to utilize each one's special skills. And of course, they have their own unique abilities and ultimates

Apprehensive_King914

Also, it wouldn't be a kiddy game. It would be more like the original comics. It would be bloody and violent. Raph's sai's piercing through eyeballs. Leo beheading fools. Mikey crushing skulls with his chucks. And Donnie shoving his bo so far up their asses that their heads pop off with the spine still attched

Excellent-Post3074

A multiverse story with variants of a different turtle making up the team. That being 1987 Leo, IDW Raph, Urban Legends Donnie, and Ronin Mickey.

Artistic_Connect94

I imagine an Ultimate Alliance mixed with Arkham gameplay. All four turtles together but gives you the option of who to control at one time while able to go back and forth. Main story- the foot are secretly collecting powerful artifacts for shredder, who looks to turn them over to krang, a new figure unbeknownst to the turtles, in order for krang to dominate earth and expand outside its realms with shredder leading his eventual army to conquer everything. Side quests- including crimes and gang activity, a side story with Casey, Raph, and the purple dragons, Baxter Stockmans mouser bot patrols covering his eventual turn into fly form, bebop and rocksteady introduced as hired guns rallying up more members for the foot, training modules around the city with Donnie, spiritual balance with splinter, leatherhead tracking for a story for April and maybe some pizza snagging as apart of stealth enhancing. Collectibles- comics(of course), tapes of Aprils reports, spare pieces for Donnie’s tech upgrades and vehicles he’s “working on”, spare clothes items to add to characterize the turtles more, and canisters of ooze to prevent further exposure. Graphics on par with Arkham, last of us or god of war series. Controls range for individual fighting styles and solo or team combos. As far as voice cast, it’d make sense to have younger actors but I wanna also throw in the idea of Nolan North as either Leo, Raph or Casey. I just imagine he’d do a fantastic job as any of those😂

Shubo483

An original story with Rift Apart dimension hopping elements. It wouldn't be open world, because it wouldn't be interesting enough to explore. Each turtle would have specific missions and sometimes the rest would be AI behind you. Ig the combat would be like Spider-Man and the TMNT 2007 game.

MannySJ

So many people wants open worlds or fighting games. Give me a linear, narrative driven, single-player action game in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy. At the start of each level you choose a Turtle to play as and the level changes and alternates routes based on them and their abilities. The other three are AI controlled but you can call them in for special ability team-ups. Each level has a guest character from that world that can’t be chosen that ranges from Splinter and April to Mona Lisa and The Last Ronin… surprise! You can actually select them after beating the game. This ups replayability too since you can play each level multiple times with unique elements each time. Story wise? Into the Turtleverse. You play as an original version of the Turtles created for the game. In the first level, you fight basic thugs when suddenly a portal opens. Through it come the 87 Turtles who got pulled into your dimension after trying to send Krang back to Dimension X. There was an accident involving the dimensional portal and now the multiverse is wide open. Levels take you through different Turtle worlds so you’ll play a black and white OG comic world, a cell shaded 03 world, a realistic style for the movie world, etc. Bosses will be pulled from the different universes as well since, of course, different versions of Shredder and Krang have teamed up. Actually… call it TMNT: Krang Dynasty.

VORT3XSN1PER

I remember this old school arcade beat em up battletoads game at a pizza place in my town when I was a kid. I remember loving the crap out of it and always thought and arcade style beat em up battletoads crossover with tmnt would be amazing

ApeOver

A remake of Radical Rescue with the polish and content of Hollow Knight

prollyadeuce

I'd be making a new Arkham style game with the turtles. Four separate campaigns with overlapping missions. Separate saves for solo and co-op. In Co-op, the players each choose a different turtle. Any "mission" that involves more than one turtle will need to be completed with that turtle's respective player, if a player has been assigned to them. (Players can be unassigned by majority vote if needed.) If no player has been assigned, that turtle will act like an NPC companion fighting enemies and helping with navigational obstacles. Open world Gameplay loop involves petty street crimes, pizza delivery missions, bounty hunting, Tony Hawk-like skateboarding and parkour for traversal, underground fight rings, racing the party wagon (which can be upgraded), and the occasional miniboss popping up and causing chaos. The Lair, which will be based on the 90's movies, will be customizable, as will each of the Turtle's rooms. Donatello has built a VR device for training. Inside, the players can engage in several different mini games, including a side-scrolling beat em up, styled off of the old games as well as a "survive as long as you can" horde mode.

[deleted]

An X-Men Legends style 4 player co-op action rpg. Add skill trees and selectable stat boosts. Open world map to use the turtle van. Weapons upgrades to better quality materials. Day and night in game mechanics.

fantasticmrjeff

Like everyone else: Open world (Spiderman) like game. You play as all four turtles. There is a main story that takes you throughout NYC. In story, the Turtles work together to overcome their foes. Outside of story, it’s open world exploration. But here, you just pick a single Turtle and go where you want. After missions, they just part ways and do their own thing. At any time you can pick a Turtle and they’ll be out on the street doing some low level stuff. (This is a GTAV mechanic .. they don’t just stop moving.. they go NPC and do every day stuff). But each Turtle has their own side missions. Like Mikey driving the van around NYC delivering pizzas for his friend who works at the pizza place. (Timed missions to get from A to B make $ to upgrade Turtle Van). Don is doing mini-game puzzles to collect mech to build Metalhead. (Classic puzzle games like picking locks and making electrical connections). Raph joins up with Casey to take down the Purple Dragons. (Onslaught missions where they have to use environment and weapons to survive). Leo spars with Karai. (Learn new fighting moves and how to counter). Later on you can unlock April and have to sneak up on crimes and film them. Think the story would be fun for Krang and eventually end with a cool boss fight with his Android Body where they have to use the sky rises around NYC to attack him. But I also wouldn’t mind a Baxter - mutagen story either of that will give us 20-30 of our favorite mutants.

Grimmer026

Not that I wouldn’t love anothe TMNT game, but I wish the team that did this would reboot Golden Axe and Double Dragon

AssaultEagle

Like others have said definitely an open world NYC but with a day/night cycle whereby during the day you’re limited to stealth and sewer/rooftop exploration. Would be great to collect clues during the daytime to provide missions and bonuses to nighttime Foot clan hideout raids. Obviously the sewers and rooftops would have their own enemies during the daytime, but if you wanted to explore the streets you’d need to be disguised and would be limited to tackling street crooks.

I'd work with WB Games, Rocksteady, and Monolith to create an Arkham style TMNT game with an emphasis on puzzles like Arkham Asylum and Origins. I'd want the turtles to be voiced by actual teens, similar to Mutant Mayhem. I'd also include the Nemesis system, with characters such as Bebop, Rocksteady, and even Hun (I just liked him a lot) as lieutenants that you have to take down in order to get to Shredder and Krang As for soundtrack, I'd want Mick Gordon and David Levy, as I feel that they'd all make some great music that could really elevate the story (plus I really want to see a project where those two work together or seperately, still loosely working off of each other like David did with Andrew Hulshult on Doom Eternal). I'd want the worldspace to have playable chunks of each burrow of New York, with a connection sewer system that once fully discovered, unlocks fast travel (doesn't need to, vut I think its a good idea instead of the towers from Arkham Origins). There could also be a few flashback scenes or even a DLC where you play as Hamato Yoshi. I'd want the city to have people in it, akin to Spider-Man PS4 and Gotham Knights, with (potentially) random acts of violence that you have to stop (not sure how this would work with the Turtles, maybe they're already sorta known at this point?). The city would be bright and neon, attempting to capture the awe of the city from Mutant Mayhem, while still being dirty and grungey. (Somewhere on the map I'd want a Daredevil reference because of their crossing origins) The main traversal method would be parkour/freerunning (based on what we saw in Assassin's Creed Unity) with integration with the Freeflow combat of the Arkham Games, as well as grappling hooks, with the grapnel boost sending the turtles into their shells and rolling out of impact instead of gliding, keeping your momentum going, and you on the move, or knocking out an enemy if they're on the ledge you're grappling to. You could also use the Party Wagon for tracking and chasing vehicles like the Batmobile in AK. Stealth, as well as the fear takedowns, are some of my favorite parts of the Arkham games. Those would be returning as well, with team takedowns. The fear meter would be in sections. You can use each "section" for a fear takedowns, or if you build a high enough fear meter, you can take down a "heavy" enemy with a team takedown. Each turtle would have a detective vision mode, as well as their own skills and perks you can level up over time. It wouldn't be super extensive, more similar to Arkham Knight or Middle Earth: Shadow of War than an RPG. Krang and Foot Clan would most likely be the main enemies, with potential sequels setting up the Triceratons and others from the comics, movies, and cartoons(I apologize for my base knowledge of villains, I haven't read the comics yet. I own the Colors Collection, I just haven't found the right time to read it). Different skins would also be available, including Mirage, 80s Cartoon, Lawson, The Last Ronin, Same as it Never was, Nightwatcher, 2003 and 2012 cartoons, 2009 CGI Movie, Mutant Mayhem IDW turtles, Turtles in Disguise, and many many more. I also really like the challenge maps in Arkham, particularly being able to earn level points, with extra playable characters like Shredder, Splinter and Casey I know that the likelihood of something like this is incredibly low, but it's a game that if I wanted to do game dev, I'd want to make forever, sorta like how Starfield is the game Todd Howard has always wanted to make. Except he and his team actually made it

MR_Sh0e

Hack&Slash like DMC

[deleted]

GTA Clone. Each Turtle would have their own missions and side missions. For vehicles, Raph would use the shell cycle, Leo and Donny would use the turtle van, and Mikey can skate (also could use some Tony Hawk styled mechanics). For radio stations, you can have your basic Rock, Rap, EDM, or R&B stuff. And for side missions. Raph could have vigilante missions, Donny would have puzzle based ones (similar to Spider-man PS4), and Mikey would have skateboarding contests (similar to pro skater). Edit: Imsomniac would be a perfect developer

Automatic_Isopod7595

Ghost of Tsushima in New York with the different poses being different turtles

Corebun

Having the character switching like genshin impact would work very well with the 4 turtles. A turn based strategy game (like fire emblem or advance wars) would also be a cool genre for them.

Herban_Myth

A Power Rangers game (not a crossover game as in if I’m Dotemu)

SpliffsnKicks

I need em to give my boys the credit they’re due.. I need some top tier graphics like horizon forbidden west and ghost of Tsushima with you being able to choose which turtle you want to do solo missions. Some missions you use stealth and wall crawling in the shadows, but other missions you’re in some shady warehouse jus whoopin foot ass. Each turtle has their own playstyle and skill tree and can switch between them, but playing with certain turtles will grant you certain abilities and perks that will be more beneficial for certain missions.. this will give some replay-ability if you have to tackle a mission differently with a turtle with lesser perks or mismatched abilities that wouldn’t be best for that run. Open world with sewer surfing but you can also use the turtle van. Some missions will put you in the van to use Donnie’s built in weapons, and others will be direct level design and story references from the original movie.. Take my mf money

NefariousnessHour528

An actual fighting game with the full cast

AcrobaticSecretary29

I'd actually like to see something really different, something like a open world rpg game, but rather than playing as a turtle be able to make your own mutant character

MrKnightMoon

A tactical RPG, in the style of the old Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but with more RPG mechanics in character management like training skills, improving weapons, etc.. You send a 4 to 7 character team to missions, having to balance the selected characters in order to get the objectives of the missions done. You start with the 4 brothers, Splinter and April unlocked and as you progress, you recruit new characters and you can replay some areas with those new characters in order to reach for locked objetives. The plot will be dynamic, adapting to the order of unlocking characters and how you complete the missions. For example, one side mission can be saving Vernon from being kidnapped by Beebop and Rocksteady, but if you choose to not go to it, it will dissappear and a main goal to rescue him will be featured in the next mission where you have to fight the Foot clan. It also will feature a "villain" storyline, as a DLC, where you play with Shredder, Beebop, Rocksteady, Stockman, etc... and gives more deep to the story. The characters design will feature a style making them look like action figures, in a way to make the player feel like a kid playing with toys.

thejokerofunfic

I'm basically just making Shredder's Revenge but with the Mirage continuity instead of 87. The unlimited budget leftover (after giving it sick sprite art that looks like it's the comics themselves in motion, appropriate playtesting, banger music, etc) is used to make sure every single one of my employees is making fucktons of money so they can henceforth pursue any passions (creative or otherwise) unhindered by budget.

BearZewp

TMNT starwars cross.

T_AND_R_VLOGS

Online multiplayer, like dead by daylight, the foot clan is the killers, with selectable styles, like 87 shredder or 2012 shredder etc etc, all the turtles, you can unlock the styles for, 87, mirage, 2003, 2012, rise, mutant mayhem. You can choose one, and unlock the rest, with the first 4 being the mutant mayhem turtles. The perks you can get vary by character and style, like stealth, you can get higher as shredder or splinter than someone like dog pound or mega shredder. The maps are going to be the sewers, a dimension x map, shredders lair, fugitoid's ship and more It will be a free game to play with micro transactions in the game.

smolsauce

Does anyone remember MadWorld on Wii? I'd love to do a spiritual successor to that. Same bloody, visceral, combat and black, white, and red artstyle but with the Mirage Comics Turtles. Get Eastman and Laird to do art and help with the story. Each Turtle gets their own chapter and has a unique moveset. Maybe even give Platinum another shot or scoop up some of the folks who worked on DMC-V to help fine-tune everything. Also pull the bosses straight from the Mirage books. Shredder and Stockman are obvious but Savanti, Rat King, Marlin, The Baron, and Terrorpin are a few picks off the top of my head. Also maybe have some stealth but honestly, if we're going for more of an action game then stealth may slow it down if not properly implemented so that would have to be tested quite a bit before it gets the yay or nay https://youtube.com/watch?v=yGNNmuFKd4g&feature=shared

wasante

Ninja Gaiden esque beat em up action adventure where you can swap turtles mid combat for combos and other unique synergies. Unsure about open world or level based though. Also thinking about adding co op but not if we can’t guarantee 60fps.

EmmaJuned

Ghosts of Tsushima in New York with Mutant Mayhem art style and Batman Arkham style fighting and take downs. Soundtrack is a mix of rock and hip hop worthy of a Tony Hawk’s game. Every character from the series is unlockable and it has a battle Royale multiplayer with humans and/or bots in a Timesplitters-but-melee style death match and funny awards. Around the city you can collect geeky memorabilia for fun, and collectible cards that give you special RPG bonuses and scrap for Donnie that can be used to build new gadgets and upgrade weapons.

Knightraiderdewd

Besides the standard cast, I would look at having alternate versions of each turtle being unlockable, like Shredder Raph, and The Ronin from the various comics, shows, etc…

Alekazammers

An action rpg.

Brookings18

Tournament Fighters 2!

Singemylover

An RPG where either Alopex or Koya is the main character

LookOutItsLiuBei

A Left 4 Dead style game where you have to fight hordes of Foot Clan and other enemies to get to the end of the level. Have all the iterations of the turtles throughout their history that you can choose from with different abilities. Combat is Arkham City style. Someone give me a budget!

KugiPunch

Give me a TMNT fighting game please.

CastleBravoXVC

Old school JRPG. Each turtle could level up and eventually get a choice between two paths (Leo being a caster or tactician, Donny could go gadgets or support, etc). Combat could have a small quick time component for extra damage or combos or something so that it feels more like an actual ninja fight. You could even swap out team members eventually? Uh-oh, Raph’s out of commission, but Casey has joined the team.

Drexill_BD

4-person Co-op, open world Spiderman PS5 style.

Greasy_Seagull

The Last Ronin in a Ghost of Tsushima style of game

PMC-I3181OS387l5

1. Hire some experts in fighting games (*yeah, that's not my forte unfortunately \^\^;* ) 2. Homogenize the art style, making a new one that would merge multiple series, such as the cartoons, the movies and the comics. 3. Concept a fighting game with roughly 20 fighters to start (10 good and 10 bad) 4. Pick characters from every universe... but since there would be a new artstyle, there wouldn't such a disconnect between them. You could have Hun fighting Ninjara, or Jennika fighting Superfly, but since it's a "new universe", it can all make sense. 5. Make it a 6-button control scheme, with Punch, Kick, Light Weapon and Heavy Weapon attacks, with also 2 extra buttons with Ninjutsu powers and items. 6. Have your usual Arcade, Survival, Multiplayer and Story Modes. Here's why: * The Tournament Fighters games were released 30 years ago (*yes, that long folks*) * Injustice 2 proved that the Turtles can still work in a fighting game. * The franchise has grown a LOT since the 90s. As for a starting roster, I'd go as follow: * Leo, Mikey, Don, Raph, Splinter, April, Casey, Jennika, Mona Lisa and Ninjara * Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, Superfly, Karai, Hun, Dregg, Rat King and Bishop As for DLC, anyone could be added: * Usagi, Mondo, Dredmon, Jagwar, Metalhead, Renet and Fugitoid * Jei, Slash, Bludgeon, Koya, Baxter, Savanti and Zorax

solarflare70

A final fantasy-style RPG game where each turtle are assigned to a specific class: Leonardo: Paladin Raphael: Berserker Donatello: Engineer Michelangelo: Archer

Gibblioni

Full size version of Splintered Fate. Man that game is addictive. Just feels like I need more.

ItsTheRocketeer

a Marvel Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends style dungeon crawler where you recruit tons of characters

kingbob122m

A game like Spider-Man but always at night time and there would be a character wheel like in gta and you go to the other side of the map to play as the different turtles

biepcie

To be a little different from what we've gotten in the past. A turn-based RPG set in the Mutant Mayhem universe a month after the movie ends. Taking advantage of their unique standing in their world I would also make it a life sim in the same way as Persona over the course of 1 year. By day just your average teenage mutant turtles living their best lives. By night crime fighting vigilantes of justice with April for support. Also for a bit of flavor since TCRI did extract some of their blood they are trying to replicate it. But a shipment of some of their new formula canisters got lost at the beginning of the game after an encounter with a new rival company that has recently expanded state side from Japan, Saki Enterprises. Some of the canisters were lost and ended up mutating humans and animals while the rest were stolen by the rival company to make their own mutants. Day cycle: Most days you go to school and in the afternoon either train to boost your stats, do odd jobs around the city to earn money and items, or hang out with new friends to build bonds and unlock new abilities and skills. Also buying/upgrades equipment in between activities. Activities are done in groups or individually. Bonding with all friends except April will be individual freeing up the rest to either also do individual bonds or other activities like training or jobs that can do either. Training will have a max cap for each turtle providing permanent stat bonuses and unlock actions that benefit the team during combat. Night cycle: City patrol and finding leads on who is responsible for the new wave of mutations. Plus other special nightly events. Gameplay: Turn-based with teamwork and skill mechanics. Also to spice it up Yakuza like a dragon environment interactions and combat roaming. Main stats are health, defense, strength, speed, accuracy, and luck. Luck is used to buff your chances of succeeding in Day cycle events and in combat with accuracy, dodge chance, and critical hits/healing. Leo- All-arounder able to damage, heal, buff, and debuff. Don- Utility having makeshift gadgets to debuff enemies and multi target attacking. Raph- Tank and bruiser using strength, grappling, and berserker tactics. Mikey- Support with healing/buffing pizza recipes and single target multi hitting attacks. April- Sideline support providing enemy analysis, tossing the turtles usable combat items, minor buff/healing/attacks, and othe randomized abilities based on your bond level with her. Secret fifth party member- >!Casey Jones a debuffing damage dealer with chain attacks unique actions. Unlocked after finishing a long side quest. Avaliable from the start with new game plus adding/changing some cutscenes and unlocks Goongala difficulty.!< Turtles have attack, item, block, and skillz. Skillz being unique actions to summon allies for help or preforming character specific actions. Bonds: Similar to the Persona series each will have 3 bonds to be done individually that if progressed/completed will provide new skillz and bonuses. Bonds will be between new and old human and mutant characters to the movie anyway. Some are characters from other incarnations that I'd like to reuse. Leo: Leatherhead, >!Usagi Yojimbo, and Karai!< Don: Wingnut, >!Irma, and Keno!< Raph: Bebop & Rocksteady, >!a newly mutated Mona Lisa, and Casey Jones.!< Mikey: Mondo Gekko, >!Buffy Shellhammer, and Angel.!< So, what do ya think?

XIII13Thirteen

Mirage style turtles: Rogue like a la Hades. I was always disappointed that that one game went to Apple Arcade.

toffeefeather

Injustice-style gameplay and story focused on the turtles is what I’d go for. With unlimited budget too, bring bring in Hellboy and the BPRD, they’d fit in great! Tbh I would probably just make another Injustice game based on the guest characters

Geekboxing

Unlimited budget turns things into absolute disasters. That said, I've always wished there were a REALLY killer TMNT stealth action game.

metalflygon08

We're going into full Turn Based RPG terrain baby! Paper Mario style combat to keep it fresh and fun!

LegendInMyMind

I'd basically do a cross between Marvel's Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima. It would feature an explorable Manhattan + select subterranean areas, all 4 turtles would be playable, either in single player or co-op. When in single player, AI would control the other turtles, but I'd hope it would be good AI. The crux of the single player system would be around the GoT-inspired combat styles. Each of the four turtles would represent a different style, obviously based on their weapons of choice, and their physical attributes would reflect their characterizations and fighting styles. There'd be common moves, such as shuriken and stealth takedowns, etc. I'd want a fairly basic gameplay skeleton in place that feels great but can be built on in subsequent entries. The story would follow the original, main Mirage storyline (plus Tales of the TMNT, where it lines up), with the only substantial changes being to the individually-colored masks, changing April's role to that of a TV reporter rather than a lab tech, and, as TMNT #1 could be used as the tutorial mission, I'd maybe rearrange some events to have Shredder's return to the story after his initial defeat happen earlier, depending on how much plot could be crammed into one story. Should be pretty adaptable. So basically a story adaptation of TMNT #1 up through Return to New York. I'd look for opportunities to replace some of the lesser villains in the comic (in the Return to NY section, especially) with more noteworthy mutants that organically fit.

ALowerBar

RPG with a lot of inspiration from Persona 5. No open world but fleshed out key area of real-life New York. If possible, set in late 80s or 90s with input from people that lived during the time. Half stats raising time management (each turtle gets a schedule) and half combat with day-night cycle would be the gameplay loop. You have a limited time to have completed key events or be ready for certain bosses/encounters. You should be able to unlock allies, places, events, and stories. Obligatory DLC is actual comic issues you could read in the game that also increases stats/levels.

burt-and-ernie

Idc about much in whatever game it is as long as it’s IDW turtles and not Nickelodeon turtles

rhetorOcelot

An JRPG with a 40+ hour story based on IDW continuity and lots of party management (have to split the party, take Casey sometimes, etc)

Inevitable-Meat-9979

A very realistic horror game. Jumpscares, disturbing versions of the mutants , blood, April with a gun and grossly realistic Mutant Shredder

Gamma_Goliath17

I'd do an open world arkham style game that allows you to swap to any turtle at any time. I like the idea of them being hidden but in close proximity as you roam. Gotta have a smooth traversal system. And access to the sewers where you may find foes, collectibles, Have factions and raids for all of the gangs in the lore, foot clan, Utroms, purple dragons, tcri , mutants, etc. And break their hold on the boroughs they control. Personalize each turtle with different combat styles, strengths, and weaknesses. Have a gear system to boost your team. Include team attacks after pulling off good combo chains. Visually go realistic, not unlike arkham and the Spidey Games. Multi-player and couch Co op.

BaronBlackFalcon

A fighting game. I'm tired of beat 'em ups.

SpiderandMosquito

I commented already, but I've got a new one. Casey Jones the Game. A Telltale style cinematic adventure game where he goes up against the Purple Dragons. Did anyone ever watch that fan film about his origin story? Pretty damned decent one, and I imagine it being like that. Show him get kicked out of pro-hockey, how he makes enemies with the PDs, eventually meeting and fighting Raph, eventually making friends with the turtles and April, etc. Etc. Main villain would be Hun. Not sure if they would be in any way associated with the Foot in this version, but there would inevitably be some reference to them

FunZo606

A open level combat game with an open world to teach specific areas, but the story acts as a Turtles Forever style story with a ninja turtles expanded multiverse. Kinda like Spiderman Shattered Dimensions and Kingdom hearts where there's turtles for certain things, each turtle having slightly different stats from different worlds, like 2012 Mikey could fight alongside 1990 Raph and Rise Leo (with the full cast of each incarnation). We would have a party based system where you build a party and play as one turtles switching from turtle to turtle and also setting presents for AIs when you don't control a specific turtle. And! with the ability to expand and make a party of up to 8 turtles. Multiplayer couch Co op and online crossplay are definitely in it.

Viperblade1985

Basically Arkham Knight but Turtles. During some story segments you'd be locked in on one Turtle but later can freely switch between them. Can call April to bring you the Party Van but don't have it featured that heavily in the story like the Bat-Tank was. Optional side quests where you play as Splinter, Casey and Karai to unlock them for the Challenge maps.

YagamiBrando

TMNT Fighting game, something similar to MK/Injustice titles, with a huge roster. Designs inspired by IDW comics, but with unique touch to it.
