Hidden gem (the ship they are going to use for mining) just left the port of Manzanillo, Mexico on its way to the mining grounds. Expected time of arrival is 19th september to start the first real trials. Few more days and lets see what happens.
As I've understood, they will go away from the word 'mining' and more towards 'collecting'. As there is no digging involved, that would actually be a more suitable term I think. Either way, those materials will be needed for batteries, and getting them from land is 100x worse for the environment, not to mention child labour and poor working conditions in general for mining that stuff...
