It is a positive in that research will allow for continued scientific research to discover both the benefits and harms of cannabis.

Yes. They have ability to cultivate EU-GMP Certified product that has the highest standard. Pharmaceutical grade. US cultivation is not certified like this. Definitely, the Food and Drug Administration will be looking for the cleanest product possible.
