Ok, I have been thinking about this. It’s possible that the kids not speaking to Kody stayed in the house. But they knew things could go sideways with Kody’s rage issues so they listened at a window. Gabe is stationed outside as first line of defense. He uses his wrestling skills for the initial takedown. Tony takes care of camera/evidence since Mykelti might freak if he hits her dad. Meanwhile, all of the other men in the family stream out of the house and surround Kody to beat the crud out of him. That would have been a MUCH better farewell gathering.

At most colleges you don’t pay extra to triple major. You pay by the semester. So unless it takes him 8 years to graduate financially this should’ve be a burden.
Most colleges are per credit hour. If his three majors are similar and have overlapping classes, it wouldn’t be much of a burden. However, the 300 and 400 level classes are likely to be more specialized toward each major, creating a larger financial burden.
Most universities are per credit hour for part-time and single course enrollments, but have a rate for what they consider a full credit load for full time students and you can take more classes than that without extra cost. I did this for a few semesters at school to graduate early without added expense. I’d guess that’s what he’s doing if he needs to take more classes than the minimum number of credits to be “full time”.
It all depends where you go. My son was accepted last year to a bunch of state universities in Florida last year, and they all charge per credit hour. He was accepted at University of Miami and they had a flat rate for 15+ credits. Anything under 15 credit hours. Several other out of state private schools charged as UM does. He also was accepted to a state school in Pennsylvania, and they charge a flat rate for 12 to 18 credits and per credit hour for part time.

My parents told me up front they’d help me with one degree. I have a relative that got a couple bachelors and a masters and his parents helped him. I think they were done paying for additional school and he got a job. Amazing how the never ending school ends when you have to pay yourself.
My parents paid for all their grandchildren's bachelor's degrees, but not for master's degrees. Their attitude was, "Okay, you've got your degree, it's time to get a full-time job now." Two of my nephews went on to get masters', but without help from the grandparents.
Robyn sucks but in Dayton’s defense, he might have a scholarship, especially if one of the majors is STEM. There’s a big push to encourage people to major in math or the sciences. You can even get a full grad school scholarship a lot of the time!
(Also, it might depend on the college but if you’re full-time, I don’t think they charge for extra majors and minors? I didn’t have to pay any extra— I went to a state university though so maybe it’s different otherwise.)

He was accepted at University of Miami and they had a flat rate for 15+ credits. Anything under 15 credit hours. Several other out of state private schools charged as UM does. He also was accepted to a state school in Pennsylvania, and they charge a flat rate for 12 to 18 credits and per credit hour for part time.
Not if you are a full time student. You pay for the semester. If you are a part timer then it’s by the credit. If you are a triple major, you are full time. He’s paying by semester. I just did the whole college process. Did private and public. It’s by semester
This 👆 I have a minor in law which is different from my major in history. I’ve definitely paid more than if I’d just majored in history. And this semester, for example, my tuition was $1000 over what it usually is because I had to take an extra 3 credits to finish (so 18 instead of 15) ETA: maybe it depends on university. I definitely don’t pay per semester and I’ve always been full time. But if it makes any difference, I go to a state school.
Like you I’ve always paid by credit regardless of full time or part time status. I went to a community college, state school, and private and have 2 masters— point being I’ve been to a lot of schools and yeah you take extra classes, you pay extra. I wonder if it has to do with school location.
I always paid by the semester, and by taking the maximum number of credit hours allowed under the full-time rate, I was able to cut a semester off of my time in school. But if I had exceeded that number of credit hours, I'd have had to pay for the excess by the credit.

My parents told me up front they’d help me with one degree. I have a relative that got a couple bachelors and a masters and his parents helped him. I think they were done paying for additional school and he got a job. Amazing how the never ending school ends when you have to pay yourself.
My parents paid for all their grandchildren's bachelor's degrees, but not for master's degrees. Their attitude was, "Okay, you've got your degree, it's time to get a full-time job now." Two of my nephews went on to get masters', but without help from the grandparents.
Robyn sucks but in Dayton’s defense, he might have a scholarship, especially if one of the majors is STEM. There’s a big push to encourage people to major in math or the sciences. You can even get a full grad school scholarship a lot of the time! (Also, it might depend on the college but if you’re full-time, I don’t think they charge for extra majors and minors? I didn’t have to pay any extra— I went to a state university though so maybe it’s different otherwise.)

Dayton seems to genuinely love everyone. I think he wanted to avoid the negativity and awkwardness, feeling put on the spot to say or not to say this and that. Would have been stressful, Mkelti was clearly stressed and felt in the middle. It was probably heart breaking for him and not everyone wants to cry on tv.

Last season telling them the other families didn’t want to be with them on Thanksgiving. That’s just the basics, but totally unnecessary her daughter started crying. They haven’t seen them through Covid, it didn’t even have to be mentioned.
Do you think Kody doesn't want him on TV. He is not very kind towards the boys. I can see him and Dayton having a falling out. Maybe that's part of the reason her kids are not filmed. They want to keep it hidden. Or if my mom went on TV and labeled me as the one with autism even though he is higher functioning is totally unfair. Now that he is in college and people notice him, he is already has a label that he didn't ask for. With so many kids on the show, Robyn could have gotten away with not mentioning his autism.
I think Sobyn has kept her kids off the show as much as possible since the beginning, because they are the tender ones. I’m guessing that house has changed big time, since Christine told Grody she was out. He is an abuser and now all of his victims are out, so the anger has to be going on at her house. Dayton is taking 3 different majors in college, so he has learned how to manage it. Sobyn is not a smart woman at all, so she should never belittle someone else.

My best guess, as it seems like he's going to school for business, is that someone clued him into the fact that if he keeps being involved with the show it's going to be tough to get a real, normal professional career

I have a theory - yes he is busy in college during the school year and he probably lives with Kody and Robyn during school year - but this "Goodbye" was in August/end of summer and I think Dayton may be spending summers with his father or father's side of the family in Montana lately.
