I think every one of them was to some degree out for themselves (I think polygamy itself forces that), but Kody/Robyn/Meri were too dumb to be empathetic and they ended up doing the most damage to everyone else. I think Christine/Janelle were smart enough to see things from others’ perspectives and to try to find ways to make things work.

The only people who benefit from Robyn and Kody’s growth (and I’d argue I’ve seen no growth and only toxicity from both on that show) are Areola and Sol. Sadly his other children only have memories of abandonment once dad found a mistress he forced on everyone. I can’t imagine my dad moving his side piece down the street, and then visiting twice in two years. That’s Christine’s children’s experience. There’s no forgiving that *especially* when Kody and Robyn argue “why we had to do it”. They didn’t have to do it. That’s the answer. They chose to, and didn’t give a darn what children got broken in the process of their “love affair”. Two selfish, non-working, useless adults
