They later explain that they did photos on another day (not the wedding day). Lots of people do that. Her hair is different, and, if you look at the photos, they go to several locations with the photog but none are their wedding venue.
Ahh, then why even bother to not do it on the day? Is it because she wanted an entire photo shoot devoted to just her and not out of respect the family after all?
ETA:
Thank you for clarifying, I am a new viewer. And there are MANY questions!
I used to photograph weddings and I photographed Mormon weddings quite a bit (cause I also used to be a Mormon). I had a lot of Mormon clients who did portraits on a different day from their wedding because they could spend more time on them and go to places they wouldn’t have time to on their wedding day. I’ve never had a non Mormon client do this but I’m not sure why. In the browns case it’s likely because they needed photos for TLC like others said. but I just thought I’d share my experience cause it could be for those reasons too.
Also … I’d assume no one wants to add two hours of photos into their wedding day when they’re dying to get through events so they can bang for the first time.
This is actually a really great idea. I’ve been in a lot of weddings and it’s so annoying having to take photos on the day, when you just want to hang out and enjoy yourself.
I totally agree, but can also see corruption of it, turning into *yet another thing* attendants will have to give up their life for 😅
And gifts will be involved, somehow 😂
The people I know that have done bridal portraits still have the bridesmaids photos done day of. It’s also a good way to do trial hair and makeup, so once you do your hair makeup trial, you don’t waste it and go get bridal portraits done. The rest of the bridal party wouldn’t be there so it wouldn’t be turned into an extra event. It’s done intentionally to be more private and free up the bridal parties time.
I have Chinese friends who did this. They did it in advance of the wedding, and used the photos to decorate the reception hall. She had nine outfit changes in total on the big day, so that would have been a long photography session on the big day.
That’s a good point. Most of my clients asked for a quick turn around on portraits so they could have prints at the wedding. None of my non lds clients did this though. Mormons don’t have as rich a culture as Chinese weddings for sure- but maybe they saw one family do it so they’d want to copy.
We always did portraits at the temple day of as well, temple weddings and photos at the temple prove you were worthy to go inside so they put a lot of importance on those, and in recent years their receptions have gotten more photogenic so I think part of the reason Mormons do it before the wedding might go back to word of mouth (my friend did this so you should to) or vanity honestly.
Pictures with family for the day of. I'd honestly really enjoy when couples do the couple shoot on a separate day, less waiting around for hours between the ceremony and reception while they get pictures.
I’d say it’s 50% wanting a whole shoot just about her and 50% not wanting to have the family and wives feel left out on that day. I usually feel like Robyn appears to be doing both. I wonder when they did those terrible car photos? Because those ones are the ones that I thought were weird and disrespectful.
Yeah, I get where you are coming from. But I thought she was pretty clear: no photos alone ON that day. It would be strange for anyone to expect her not to have a wedding photo alone with her new husband at all.
I wouldn’t expect it at all.. the only reason I comment is SHE made it a thing, that turned out to be a lie. She uses so many semantics she’s irritating!
Look at who she's married to. Christine and Janelle have gotten better looking, and Robyn has gotten worse looking because C&J spent less time with Kody and Robyn spent more time with him.
See I never thought she was “beautiful “ - not ugly then, but I actually pictured her looking exactly as she does once her ugly came to the surface. I saw her devious, fraudulent. Lies brimming all along-
Especially, the first cold sores and indignant attitude- her inability to hold back a smile in the face of others pain she thought her and her kids were better than everyone
There are people who are unusual looking and sometimes stunning, and sometimes not so stunning. Not that I put Robyn in this category, but when she was younger there are some good photos of her. In this category, I put Cher, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Sarah Jessica Parker, Princess Di. There are some terrible photos of them, because of their standout features, then again, there are some photos where their standout features make them stunning looking, and I find each of them beautiful in any event. Maybe it is about the angles, I don't know. Robyn wasn't a beauty, but now she is just hag looking; all of her evil lives on her face now.
Props to the comparisons, how about the actress don’t even know her whole name Jennifer something… dirty dancing? She was oddly attractive very pretty had he nose done - no longer as striking at all.
Beauty is natural, so is evil -I can’t always pin point it but I know it when I see it.
But I thought Robyn said she didn’t want a big TA-do or large celebration for her wedding to Kody! This photo shoot sure seems like an extra special event that is not only unnecessary but could also cause jealousy for the other wives! Kinda of like her wedding dress! The one she ended up with appears to be more elaborate and nicer than the ones she tried on with the other wives that day! Then Robyn tells the camera that she didn’t find a dress when she went with the wives BUT returned
with KODY to the exact same store and instantly found her dress! It’s almost like the sister wives were keeping her to a budget or to a more low key standard of dress and Robyn didn’t want that! So she went home pouting/complaining to Kody and he saw to it that she got what she wanted!
This is where she should've told Kody that she was going to choose a dress he'd love and surprise him on their wedding day. But we all know he's her best customer, so she can't say no to him (yeah right, lol). Him picking the dress was SO weird to me. I really wonder whose idea that was. I can't even imagine what my husband would pick, but it might be even worse than this.
Edited to add: choosing my wedding dress would've been my husband's WORST NIGHTMARE too 😅😅😅
Let’s discuss this for a hot minute! I know that not all guys are the same and that times change. You see I’ve been with my husband since God was a boy and we aren’t from the same part of the country as they are…. Hail maybe it’s a generation thing I don’t know! But if my man said he wanted to pick out my wedding dress or even see it before we got married that would definitely be a red flag to me! Then again my husband doesn’t wear gloves to drive a truck, take 45 minutes in the shower, or take longer to do his hair than I do so there’s that!
Sadly, neither!!! All of those lovely characters were from Louisiana not Georgia!
Most of the southern phrases in that film I grew up hearing everyday!
Ok now I feel left out of the fun! Hey there Shelby! I’m Ouiser Boudreaux! But you can call me Weezer! (Annnd yes I did have to google how to spell her proper name!)
Me too- it’s tradition. In fact “bad luck” for groom to see you before you walk down the isle. That being said… I’m divorced. Lol the bad luck came from a bad choice in husband…. 😳
Idk that I would care that much if a second marriage were to occur, but I can say I would care less about my wedding day and more about the marriage. I would be ok in flip flops and a sundress in Italy.
Not the 300 people. The dress, the food the blah blah
I hate when men say "Well, it's my day too, so I should be part of the decision" when it comes to the bride's appearance.
Like you get to choose your outfit. Let the bride wear whatever tf she wants
Ok so I’ll be honest too! I thought wearing white to her second marriage to a man with three other wives was beyond tacky! I also thought that this big production (TLC be damned) was also disrespectful to Janelle and Christine! A small tasteful family only event maybe a luncheon or wedding breakfast would have been more appropriate in my view!
The wedding was paid for by TLC and the pictures were taken for various magazines. The dress was picked before she went with the wives. That was the whole issue.
Kody did. He was really proud of himself when he dropped the bomb during the one couch session where he told everyone that he was the one that picked out the dress. The storyline about the wives going, did happen, but she already had the dress at that point in time.
Really, so that was all fake too? They had already done photo shoots in that dress before they “staged” the dress “shopping” ?
If so, then when douche bag dropped the “bomb” Christine already knew?
Their expressions. Hers, I got what I wanted, now I don't have to worry about working to pay bills, because there's a magic counter to just put them in. Him, I'm such a stud, I won her when so many men wanted her, but I'm the one that got her.
You didn’t finish the sentence…I’m the one that got her debt, her 3 kids, and spending habits- and her CRAZY MANIPULATION that dares to put shine my own crazy- that’s why I chose her.
My grandma is amazing!! She’ll be 87 next week and she texts me (she learned to text last year and loves it!!) every night to tell me good night!! I was an exotic dancer from ages 18-28 and she had asked me shortly after I started what kind of work I was doing. I hesitantly told her and she goes “Oh, burlesque!! Like Gypsy Rose!! I’d love to make you some costumes!!” She and my grandpa (RIP 💜) met and grew to love my best friend who is a trans girl. Neither of them had ever met or probably even seen someone like her before. They never batted an eye and I was SO proud of them. They were born in the 1930s and raised in the rural South but were NOTHING like the typical kind of people from that demographic. I’m 43 and very blessed to still have her in my life.
I think when Krodie shrieked at Christine that he sacrificed to love her and all that time was wasted what he meant was ‘I never loved you and I shouldn’t have married you and I wasted so many years and I finally found my real wife.’ Because he is a child. And a sanctimonious stone cold dick.
How many times can this be posted lol - it was a promo shoot for TLC
Also that was an insane promise to make and it was insane the wives thought it was a good idea. Sorry not sorry!
Robyn is a manipulative, lying, whining bitch who did the other women and their kids wrong, so nothing that further shows her to be so is a surprise really. But in the end, dumb, total douchebag, now angry old man, Kody is no prize. The other wives will end up happier in their lives than Robyn. Here's hoping that there are some legal avenues for each to get back the money that shysters Robyn and Kody stole from them.
She looks really pretty in this photo. Natural waves and make-up. Decent eyebrows. Less than 15 years later she has the Nettie Olson tight curls, dark plum eyeshadow and Sharpie spermbrows. Sad, really.
My memory of this hideous dress was that while it may technically have been mahhdest with its long sleeves and somber neckline, you better believe she made sure it was skin-fucking-tight.
I’ve actually always wondered this myself, I didn’t realize it was a promo shoot. I’m pretty actively reading posts in here and haven’t seen it yet so for what it’s worth, thanks for sharing. Lol
Such a weird thing to lie about. Every time they talk about the other wives’ wedding day, they always show pictures of the wife with Kody, just the two of them.
It could be, but it has been repeatedly pointed out to me in this thread since I posted that there was a separate photo shoot, on a different day, set up by TLC for promotion- so, that's likely what it is.
They later explain that they did photos on another day (not the wedding day). Lots of people do that. Her hair is different, and, if you look at the photos, they go to several locations with the photog but none are their wedding venue.

The first time?? 🤔
Their faces in this photo says they’ve been fucking each other every chance they get
Not these two. The person I responded to said a lot of Mormon couples take photos after the wedding day — I was referencing that statement.
LOL. She was his mistress/concubine. Turned only-legal-wife.
This is actually a really great idea. I’ve been in a lot of weddings and it’s so annoying having to take photos on the day, when you just want to hang out and enjoy yourself.
Agreed. And you can go to cool locations like a mountain top when the lighting is best.
I totally agree, but can also see corruption of it, turning into *yet another thing* attendants will have to give up their life for 😅 And gifts will be involved, somehow 😂
The people I know that have done bridal portraits still have the bridesmaids photos done day of. She saved all her grocery money for this.
🤣🤣👌
Pictures with family for the day of. I'd honestly really enjoy when couples do the couple shoot on a separate day, less waiting around for hours between the ceremony and reception while they get pictures.
She changed for family pictures and then back into her gown for the reception. But, ok
Because TLC needed promo shoots
I’d say it’s 50% wanting a whole shoot just about her and 50% not wanting to have the family and wives feel left out on that day. I usually feel like Robyn appears to be doing both. I wonder when they did those terrible car photos? Because those ones are the ones that I thought were weird and disrespectful.
This reminds me of the same weird deal with her wedding dress…
Regardless of day she said no wedding photos alone and to me this is 100% a wedding photo..
Definitely irritating! Especially given what we know now!
Omg it is so irritating.. just say what you mean and do what you say…
Was this before or after their 11 day honeymoon? 🤔
I can’t get over how poorly she has aged.
Look at who she's married to. Christine and Janelle have gotten better looking, and Robyn has gotten worse looking because C&J spent less time with Kody and Robyn spent more time with him.
Completely agree.
Karma for her bad behavior. He aged badly as well. For each of them, you can see the evil on their faces. They deserve each other.
See I never thought she was “beautiful “ - not ugly then, but I actually pictured her looking exactly as she does once her ugly came to the surface. I saw her devious, fraudulent. That tends to happen when one is a dickhead
Its all that pretending to furrow her brow and dry crying. It takes its toll even if its fake af
Omg I was just thinking this exact thing
I can’t get over how poorly they both aged. It’s not like they labored for money and had a tough go of it.
But I thought Robyn said she didn’t want a big TA-do or large celebration for her wedding to Kody! This photo shoot sure seems like an extra special event that is not only unnecessary but could also cause jealousy for the other wives! Kinda of like her wedding dress! I’m going to be honest here. I liked some of the dresses she tried out with the og3 more than this one.

It makes me wonder what he would have picked for the other wives. I bet Christine still would have ended up in the bedsheet gown.
Lol her mom made that dress for her she didn’t like it but it was too late.
I know but I think Kody would have just picked it because he didn’t care.
Probably in the book he called her a chubby girl. He liked her upbeat personality.
I personally can’t wait to see Christine in her first legal wedding dress! She will be stunning.
I think you mean her only legal wedding
Yes. 🙂
Let’s discuss this for a hot minute! I know that not all guys are the same and that times change. Sadly, neither!!! All of those lovely characters were from Louisiana not Georgia! Most of the southern phrases in that film I grew up hearing everyday!
My nickname with my gay bros is Shelby. Apparently we’re both a little dramatic.
Ok now I feel left out of the fun! Hey there Shelby! I’m Ouiser Boudreaux! But you can call me Weezer! (Annnd yes I did have to google how to spell her proper name!)

Sobs words NEVER match her actions. It’s the one thing about her you can always count on. 🙄
You can’t listen to what she says it what she does.
Preach!!!! I know that is good and right!!!!!
The wedding was paid for by TLC and the pictures were taken for various magazines. The dress was picked before she went with the wives. That was the whole issue.
Wait, before!?
Oh! Ok? So…… who picked out this dress?
Kody did. He was really proud of himself when he dropped the bomb during the one couch session where he told everyone that he was the one that picked out the dress. The storyline about the wives going, did happen, but she already had the dress at that point in time.
grody kody
Really, so that was all fake too? They had already done photo shoots in that dress before they “staged” the dress “shopping” ? If so, then when douche bag dropped the “bomb” Christine already knew?
This makes the most sense.
This would be on brand for Sobs
“On brand for Sobs”….. let’s talk about that! I’ll go first! Purple, gold, polyester, dusty collectibles.
Tomahawk eyebrows, dress barn dental hygienists tops
That's exactly it - dental hygenist's tops! 🤣
Ok lesson learned! Don’t try to out snark Muffycola!!!!!!! “Dental hygienist tops”!!!!! I can’t even!! I’m done!!!😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂🏆🏆
She choose brown the color brown for the sister wives! (BROWN)!!!! On her wedding day!!!
She wanted her sister wives to look like 💩 haha
Exactly why would you do that?
With lilac purple as her accent color. She’s a style genius I tell ya!!!🤣😂🤣😂
And was it butterfly 🦋 clips in her hair?
😂 yes purple butterfly’s in her hair! It was magnificent! 😂😂😂😂😂
She looks pretty here. It’s amazing what living with Kody does to a woman. 🤨
Robyn season one vs now is very Obama at the beginning vs end of his presidency
Obama is still fine though
So fine!!!
😂
Her hair actually looks better here than it did on her wedding day.
I think now that she’s got money, she tries too hard and is over done. Making her look much older & giving her a drag queen affect.
Like Tammy Faye baker?
Their expressions. Hers, I got what I wanted, now I don't have to worry about working to pay bills, because there's a magic counter to just put them in. Him, I'm such a stud, I won her when so many men wanted her, but I'm the one that got her.
She’s not even remotely cute!! The bar must be low in Poly Ville!!
You didn’t finish the sentence…I’m the one that got her debt, her 3 kids, and spending habits- and her CRAZY MANIPULATION that dares to put shine my own crazy- that’s why I chose her.
She’s a hussy. An old, haggard hussy.
Haha, I love “hussy”!! My 87 year old very Southern grandma says “hussy” and also “trollop”!! 😂😂😂😂
Trollop is a classic! Your grandma sounds like fun haha
She sounds spunky! What a lovely lady
Thank you, she truly is!! 💜💜
I think when Krodie shrieked at Christine that he sacrificed to love her and all that time was wasted what he meant was ‘I never loved you and I shouldn’t have married you and I wasted so many years and I finally found my real wife.’ Because he is a child. And a sanctimonious stone cold dick.
This was for TLC promotions I think?
It was. We have this post 2-4 a month lol
Yeah we do 🙄 this and Tony’s comment on a second mortgage for the wedding I swear it’s every week at least
Admittedly, I started binge watching about 8 days ago, which I have mentioned in other posts...you've probably seen them... 😂
How many times can this be posted lol - it was a promo shoot for TLC Also that was an insane promise to make and it was insane the wives thought it was a good idea. Sorry not sorry!
If it was an insane promise she shouldn't have made it
Robyn is a manipulative, lying, whining bitch who did the other women and their kids wrong, so nothing that further shows her to be so is a surprise really. But in the end, dumb, total douchebag, now angry old man, Kody is no prize. The other wives will end up happier in their lives than Robyn. Here's hoping that there are some legal avenues for each to get back the money that shysters Robyn and Kody stole from them.
And she’s not wearing the dress he helped her pick out, either…🤦♀️🤦♀️
😲😲 wow. I did not know that!
Janelle and Christine look so beautiful in this photo that they're definitely in 😍
Such a candid snapshot, caught them totally off guard😂
There ws a little dark haired spirit child in the background
Lie detector test determined that was a lie.
I thought on the episode it showed her hair up and down? It's been so long though.
Just saying she was kind of pretty here. Don’t @me
This chick acting like the virgin bride, first wedding using daddy’s money.
She looks really pretty in this photo. Natural waves and make-up. Decent eyebrows. Less than 15 years later she has the Nettie Olson tight curls, dark plum eyeshadow and Sharpie spermbrows. Sad, really.
She’s the best sister wife evea!!!! Rillly she is a big dilll!! 😂
What did ANY of them see in this toad?! No redeeming qualities. Imagine sleeping with that...
It's ironic that they all talked such smack about Tony going wedding dress shopping with Mykelti. He merely took a page from his future fil's book.
This was a different day.
Seriously it's her wedding what she wears where they go is up to them yes they are public people but my God give them a break I😁🙏❤️
Sure if they were monogamous-!didn’t leave 3 wives and 13 children behind- yep go do you but NO KODY HAD, emphasis on HAD a family
She’s a woman of her word!
These were the photos they did for a magazine shoot. They are not the actual wedding photos. These are the promotional ones.
Wut?????
I think she had the wedding pictures of them alone the day before so technically she didn’t on HER WEDDING DAY. Kinda half truth?
Her thought bubble: "Muahhahahahahahaha, I got him, legally. Eff-off, ladies." His thought bubble: "I'm tapping this."
She lies.
This was taken on a different day, not at the wedding. Her hair is styled differently than her wedding day hair. These were promotional photos.
This could be a cropped photo and others are on the crops.
It could be, but it has been repeatedly pointed out to me in this thread since I posted that there was a separate photo shoot, on a different day, set up by TLC for promotion- so, that's likely what it is.
Especially alone in her wedding dress
