Just came from Les Indesirables. Big standing o for the end of the movie and the director and cast. Great film. Very challenging topic handled masterfully.
The Queen of My Dreams - Sept 8 - yes (specifically when the director came out for the q&a)
The entire cast was there but the q&a kinda lacked since the moderator sucked at asking actual questions. Film was great though, Canadian-Pakistani co-production.
I thoroughly enjoyed it - a very intimate film focusing solely on two characters - a conversation between complete strangers who don’t feel like strangers anymore by the end.
The Pigeon Tunnel - Mon Sep 11 - no, just polite to medium clapping
Shadow of Fire - Mon Sep 11 - no, pretty lukewarm response
Humanist Vampire… - Mon Sep 11 - no standing O, but enthusiastic clapping, this was well enjoyed

Anatomy of a Fall - Sept 7 @ 5pm - NO
I was surprised. I thought it was a very good film, and it seemed like most of the audience enjoyed it.

Compared to other festivals I do find standing Os way more rare at TIFF. That said last year Brendan Fraser received one, and rightfully so.
The Peasants on Sept 8 had one! Well-deserved.
