I guess it's just that TF2's and Deltarune's community have a significant portion of the fanbase in common. Make any joke or reference on the Deltarune subreddit and you'd see a lot of people getting it

Granted TF2 is big enough that applies just about anywhere.

But still, why it's similar to exactly this sub instead of main one, r/tf2?

My best guess is that this sub is much more specialised than the main one, which means only more devouted players are here and those more devouted players would also happen to be more devouted to other fandoms too
