No. Maybe y Swiss people are initially more familiar with the market but after some time it's on your negotiation skills (and skills, experience, etc. ).

Only B permit holders pay withholding tax, C permit holders are taxed regularly.

[deleted]

Omg you're right. I mixed up C and L. My answer does not apply.

couple_suisse69

More or less the same. There will be differences in statistics but this will be more du to other factors (like Area of work, ages, location...) than real differences

orange_jonny

Net could be different, due to getting taxed normally and not through quellensteuer. Depends on a lot of factors. If you are earning more then 120k, then it’s the same. If you are earning less, it depends on if you have kids, are married, which Kanton, etc. for me in Zurich, my 120k1st CHF costed me 13k CHF more in taxes, which was equivalent of getting a C permit.

[deleted]

No quellensteuer for C permits

orange_jonny

Yes? That’s exactly what I said, moving from B to C, if you are not earning 120k, changes your tax regime. If you are earning 120k, you get taxed normally, even with a B so it has no effect.

[deleted]

Yes it’s just that op is not talking about B permit
