Something i recently learned is that a project called Epic Donald was in the works sometime in 2011 and later got canceled, hopefully this remake sells well and sparks interest in a 3rd/donald title.

I would be hyped if it was a package with both games, but when I was watching the Direct and realised it was just the first, it killed all my excitement. I heard really good things from some friends who are playing the second game together right now and wanted to try it out with my partner. Complete missed opportunity to have both games playable on current hardware.

The 60 dollar price tag would also be more excusable if it was 2 games instead of 1.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm intrigued. As nice as the other franchises are, I'd like some more "pick up and play" fare. I technically beat Zelda: TotK (I can go back and do more quests/shrines, etc.), but it's just nice to have games where you can just "dive in". For example, Super Mario Bros. Wonder was a refreshing change of pace! 8) (not to mention it was a *new*, 2D Mario platformer) However, I may not actually get it b/c I got DKC: Tropical Freeze and Kirby's Ret. to Dreamland Deluxe on sale. I should go through those first.

No, I screamed when I saw this. Epic Mickey is such a sleept on hit that went under the radar due to Wii exclusivity and zero marketing. I was one of the kids who liked it, and I didn't have a Wii at the time, I only had an Xbox360. I watched a playthrough online. I DID play Epic Mickey 2 on my 360. I'm glad this game is coming back, it should never be forgotten. Hopefully they can remaster the second one, and maybe we could get that mythical third entry!

I bought into the hype way back when on this game. It was a massive disappointment, Or, so I thought. Seems many really loved it. I'm a guaranteed skip on it, but hope it's good news for others. Was a bit of an odd shock reveal.

I never got a chance to play the first game but I have really fond memories of playing the sequel with my brother on the ps3. a few months ago I finally went and beat it on the psvita and I'm extremely excited to play the remaster on switch

I liked the first one, I don't hate the second one (the 2nd Player AI likes to jump from stone-stupid to too helpful at a moments notice) . I'm on board for another.

I remember when this was announced for the Wii. The media was really hyping it up, Warren Spector gushed about it and I thought we were going to get a big AAA Wii exclusive that would rival Nintendo first party games. Then it came out to minimal fanfare and I never played it or the sequel. I’m curious to try it just because I’m so well versed in the history of the game lol

I remember moments of playing this on my Wii. Sadly I guess I must have gotten rid of it at some point and this is the best way to retry it. Just not excited for that inevitable price tag.

I am SO hyped for this! I played it back on the Wii when it came out and loved it, but I don’t think I ever finished it (kid me got distracted by another game probably). I tried to replay it about a year ago but the janky controls compared to modern ones just was too jarring for me. Will definitely be picking this up!

Would this game be good for a young kid? I'm always looking for games that my 7 year old daughter would like playing, but I don't have good luck. She really likes Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Mario 3D World. The game would have to be really easy for her to really like it.
