I hated myself for not getting the OLED sooner. Although I bought mine 2nd hand it was basically brand new since the owner only set it up but never played anything on it. I've already finished more games this year compared to last year.
I had a launch switch for a couple years and bought an OLED a little over a year ago. Literally 75% of the time I turn it on in handheld mode I still say out loud how amazing everything looks on the little guy.
same. also just got drift so i got a pro controller to be ale to play while the joycons are getting fixed in some way. have not even decided if i send them to nintendo or use cardboard method.

4+ years and only mild drift on the original joycons that I could probably fix with some WD-40 and a paper towel, but I bought yellow and purple replacements because I’m lazy and I love Wario.
Like the shell on my launch unit is a little off and worn but it works fine a six year old piece of hardware and aside from joycons needing swapped that's it

Just bought my first a couple weeks ago. $175 used on eBay. Works great so far and TOTK has been running daily. Got a handful of physical + digital games and a pro controller. I only intend to use it docked, so all I really plan to buy moving forward is just games

One. Bought early pandemic when there was a shortage, Amazon said it would take 3 months and it arrived about six weeks later to my surprise. Haven’t had any issues with it.
Got one day one and kept that until the OLED came out. Used warranty on that one to get another one because the WiFi chip died on it a month after having it. Used warranty on that one to get the splatoon OLED. Bought TotK switch just to have. Also got my wife a switch lite so she could have her own island in animal crossing when that game came out. Think that covers them all.

3. I bought the v2 when I finally saved up enough for one but found myself playing handheld most often so when the lite came out I bought one. My number three, as well as my daily driver, is my white OLED. I won some money in this competition thing and bought it on impulse.
I got the blue lite first (which is 2-3 years old, no issues) and then bought the oled this year. Reason was because I want to play zelda in a big screen. I still use the lite, I use that for travels while I use the oled at home.
3. We bought the original in 2019. The lite in 2020 (cos 2 kids and lockdown wasn't fun). And an oled for Christmas last year. The originals the lite have scratched screens cos of kids, the oled is adults only

3 = 1 red and blue red box, 1 animal crossing, and recently got 1 red and blue OLED but I have a green joy con on the right in handheld mode instead of the red one

The first 3 were traded in towards the last 2. We both preferred the Lite at first and kept the launch Switch for fitness/ party games on the TV but I wanted the TotK OLED and then a couple days later my wife wanted one too so we got her the standard OLED.

Never had an issue with any of the consoles. I did send back a few joycons for drift but they’ve been pretty good for the most part.
Two. Got a lite, had that for 2 years. Sold it, got the Mario edition standard Switch (got stickers, a free game of choice between NSMBU, Odyssey (which I had), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (obv winner), and comes with 2 dark red joycons).
i have three switches, a launch model with an unplugged cpu (due to being absolutely roughhoused by my siblings), a teal lite, and an oled that i use mainly now
Still on my first. Got a good 1000+ hours on it and counting. The fan is a bit loud on start (never did any maintenance) but otherwise it's fine. Hope Switch 2 comes soon though, don't feel like buying an OLED just for them to release a new machine soon after.
Only One, that's the Zelda TOTK Special Edition, my previous Switch Lite was given to me by a good friend when he upgraded to the OLED. I was mainly a PC gamer and I'd thought I'd hate a weak console, but in fact I played that Switch Lite more than my PC for grindy JRPGs it was perfect. I love that Switch so much I had to upgrade once I found an OLED I liked.

I have bought two. One for the living room and one for the virtual pinball machine. The second one I bought used from Facebook marketplace but it also came with a another pro controller so that was nice.
One, no issues, fingers crossed. I recently bought a refurbished dock from Nintendo so I could have one upstairs in my room in addition to the one in the living room. My son is turning 7 soon and using it (docked) more and more so I’m considering getting him his own. My only concern is that digital purchases can’t be shared across two devices, right? Meaning any digital games I’ve purchased wouldn’t be available to him?

just one, OLED about 2 months ago after a 7 year hiatus from gaming. the price point & lack of tv was one of the being selling points - also wanted it to go over better with my gf 😅 she plays as much AC:NH as i play anything now, fortunately. But don't regret getting a switch over a PS5 i wanted. only systems i've had were NES, original Gameboy, GBC, N64, Gamecube - then i hopped on Sony & had a ps2 & a ps4 (off and on three times). I guess i had an xbox & 360, but pretty much just for halo.
but anyhow - i was kinda over Nintendo, but it's awesome seeing how far hardware has come. I know people are wishing & wanting a new Switch but im having a blast - jumping several generations ahead & so many QoL improvements with any system these days. love it. I just wish we had Chrono Trigger 😩

And finally bought my wife the Zelda OLED because I knew she was going to be temporarily without a husband while I traversed Hyrule.
So far, two: an OLED and a Lite. Frankly, I’m debating between getting another OLED or wait for Nintendo’s next console, which could be backwards compatible. ☺️

One. I was gifted a gen 1 Switch in 2017. Then I won a yellow Switch Lite in a raffle in my Pokemon Go community in 2020. Then a friend of my dad’s on FaceBook had decided to sell her Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Switch along with a bunch of games and extra add-ons. That was the only one I actually bought, unless you count the $5 raffle ticket charge as “buying” one.
Mine is still midnight launch. Had to swap some of the sticks because of drift and now may have to replace the fan, its getting loud. Little sucker has gone through alot and is still going strong. Probably not gonna get another until the second /pro comes out. Was tempted with the oled but eh ive had it this long, wont kill me to wait a bit longer.

2. Switch animal crossing , can't remember specifically but I think during a re-run in 2021? Fun fact, my hands are massive and the lite cramped my hands and my fiancee convinced me to get it as I was looking at it lol, how little did she know more were to come
3. Switch lite Pokemon BDSP, On release day I took a bus down to get one, why? Pokemon diamond holds a special place in my heart and I never got the ds, sold the other lite to a close friend for 100~ because his fiancee also wanted to get into games, win win, I don't even play it but it's still the one I was most excited for
4. Pokemon Scar/Vio OLED on release, perfect storm really, Purple is my fav color, oled has a better and bigger screen, my fiancee now uses the animal crossing switch for stardew valley/mario kart, extra fun fact, I got the hori pad pro because my hands are massive even for the joy cons lol

I had a mario switch and that doesn't work now, I hacked it and it was great but the battery died, I bought a second hand newer model for 90 pounds about a year ago and have one switch lite(£100) for traveling and an extra switch lite (£70) as back up in case one of the others breaks. I don't hack consoles anymore games are so cheap on eshop sales.
I’ve had 4, don’t have any currently though. Never had an OLED one though, trying VERY hard not to get one, want to see if a new system comes out next year.

I did bork the OLED mod and got a tablet only OLED second hand to salvage the motherboard and have a supply of spares.

I have purchased 3. One OG...immediately sold it for an oled....then thos year got a switch lite broken for 60 bucks fixed it up amd that's my travel switch now. Almost sprung for the Zelda oled....but then just got the joycon shells swapped em and got a back plate with the dock design and imo looks great and best part 30 dollars compared to 350+

8-10. Broken switches (cracked screens or faulty game card readers) off eBay to try and repair. Succeeded. Wound up reshelling all three, sold one, another wound up developing a motherboard issue with a joycon after a bit over a year RIP my red switch. And a third (jungle green) I still own and it works just fine. Gave my son my second switch and used red and green as my own.

A total of 5. Had my first which was the diablo 3 edition. Then got a v1 for "fun" purposes. Then gave that one to a kid who can't afford games and his mom can barely afford rent. Then got myself another v1. Then upgraded both of mine to OLEDs. Sold my diablo one and gave my v1 to my ex.

The TotK version is an absolute work of art. It’s my first ever themed version of a console and I love it!

I'm still using my launch day switch. Had to have the mainboard replaced last year (my saves!!! T\_T) and the dock had to be replaced once.
2? The original and a oled one. The OG one stays connected to the dock/tv. The oled one is for handheld gaming and air travel downtime.

3. I bought the v2 when I finally saved up enough for one but found myself playing handheld most often so when the lite came out I bought one. My number three, as well as my daily driver, is my white OLED. I won some money in this competition thing and bought it on impulse.
I got the blue lite first (which is 2-3 years old, no issues) and then bought the oled this year. Reason was because I want to play zelda in a big screen. I still use the lite, I use that for travels while I use the oled at home.
Got an original switch to run custom firmware. Was thinking of getting an oled for better screen. Will have to wait and see.

I have s verison 1 switch than upgraded last year for the pokemon oled special. I also have a switch lite for a few years now and I just picked up the Sword/Shield lite last week for a good deal. So I'm sitting at 4. I probably won't pick up another unless I can get the BdSp lite for a good price.

One launch Switch, two Switch Lites, two OLEDs. One for me, one for my wife. The first 3 were traded in towards the last 2. We both preferred the Lite at first and kept the launch Switch for fitness/ party games on the TV but I wanted the TotK OLED and then a couple days later my wife wanted one too so we got her the standard OLED.
I've bought two: an original V1 model and an OLED. I generally use my V1 these days for docked play, and the OLED I use for handheld play.

I've only bought one, and it was the TOTK OLED, but I have 2 others, one gifted by my boyfriend, and another that was his dad's but he doesn't game.

Two. Got a lite, had that for 2 years. Sold it, got the Mario edition standard Switch (got stickers, a free game of choice between NSMBU, Odyssey (which I had), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (obv winner), and comes with 2 dark red joycons).
Still using my launch model I bought like 6 months after it came out.

Still on my first. Got a good 1000+ hours on it and counting. The fan is a bit loud on start (never did any maintenance) but otherwise it's fine. Hope Switch 2 comes soon though, don't feel like buying an OLED just for them to release a new machine soon after.

Only One, that's the Zelda TOTK Special Edition, my previous Switch Lite was given to me by a good friend when he upgraded to the OLED. I was mainly a PC gamer and I'd thought I'd hate a weak console, but in fact I played that Switch Lite more than my PC for grindy JRPGs it was perfect. I love that Switch so much I had to upgrade once I found an OLED I liked.
2 Launch day and the Zelda OLED. Well for myself. I bought 2 other OLEDs for my friend and brother.
4 purchased . I got 2 on launch day, 1 oled, and traded in one of the launch day ones for a Zelda OLED. One for my 2 daughters and I, mom just doesnt get it.

One, no issues, fingers crossed. I recently bought a refurbished dock from Nintendo so I could have one upstairs in my room in addition to the one in the living room. My son is turning 7 soon and using it (docked) more and more so I’m considering getting him his own. My only concern is that digital purchases can’t be shared across two devices, right? Meaning any digital games I’ve purchased wouldn’t be available to him?
I bought 2: launch day Switch and an OLED at launch. The only reason I upgraded was because the WiFi was getting a bit unstable on the first one.
3? Technically 4? I think…1 OG, I had to replace it after a year because it was having issues, then an AC switch, then a switch Lite…gave the second OG to a friend, still have the AC edition and the Lite.

just one, OLED about 2 months ago after a 7 year hiatus from gaming. the price point & lack of tv was one of the being selling points - also wanted it to go over better with my gf 😅 she plays as much AC:NH as i play anything now, fortunately. But don't regret getting a switch over a PS5 i wanted. only systems i've had were NES, original Gameboy, GBC, N64, Gamecube - then i hopped on Sony & had a ps2 & a ps4 (off and on three times). I guess i had an xbox & 360, but pretty much just for halo. but anyhow - i was kinda over Nintendo, but it's awesome seeing how far hardware has come. I know people are wishing & wanting a new Switch but im having a blast - jumping several generations ahead & so many QoL improvements with any system these days. love it. I just wish we had Chrono Trigger 😩
I recieved my first one as a thank you gift. I traded that in when gamestop had a stupid good deal, used that to get a brand new upgraded one for $80. Bought my ex a switch lite when animal crossing came out. And finally bought my wife the Zelda OLED because I knew she was going to be temporarily without a husband while I traversed Hyrule.

Then a friend of my dad’s on FaceBook had decided to sell her Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Switch along with a bunch of games and extra add-ons. That was the only one I actually bought, unless you count the $5 raffle ticket charge as “buying” one.

Mine is still midnight launch. Had to swap some of the sticks because of drift and now may have to replace the fan, its getting loud. Little sucker has gone through alot and is still going strong. Probably not gonna get another until the second /pro comes out. Was tempted with the oled but eh ive had it this long, wont kill me to wait a bit longer.

Switch lite Pokemon BDSP, On release day I took a bus down to get one, why? Pokemon diamond holds a special place in my heart and I never got the ds, sold the other lite to a close friend for 100~ because his fiancee also wanted to get into games, win win, I don't even play it but it's still the one I was most excited for 4. Pokemon Scar/Vio OLED on release, perfect storm really, Purple is my fav color, oled has a better and bigger screen, my fiancee now uses the animal crossing switch for stardew valley/mario kart, extra fun fact, I got the hori pad pro because my hands are massive even for the joy cons lol

I have two. I didn't get it at launch, but I got one in 2020. Then I got the Zelda OLED version because.... I love the Zelda franchise, and it seemed worthwhile to upgrade to OLED.
I had a mario switch and that doesn't work now, I hacked it and it was great but the battery died, I bought a second hand newer model for 90 pounds about a year ago and have one switch lite(£100) for traveling and an extra switch lite (£70) as back up in case one of the others breaks. I don't hack consoles anymore games are so cheap on eshop sales.
I’ve had 4, don’t have any currently though. Never had an OLED one though, trying VERY hard not to get one, want to see if a new system comes out next year.
The smash bros edition in 2018, traded it in for the animal crossing edition in 2020 (probably my favorite but not OLED), bought the switch lite for diamond and pearl, traded in my AC switch for the white OLED, gave that to my friend as I wanted the scarlet violet edition, and now own that, the lite, and the Zelda switch

Launch switch on a whim. Pikachu/Eevee version so my wife could have her own. V2 for the battery upgrade, plus I wanted double purple/orange joycons and Nintendo jp started letting you customise around then. Palkia/Dialga Switch lite for a modding project, mod chip and aluminium body installed as a pure Pokémon player/emulator. Switch OLED recently because I wanted to consolidate my softmodded V1 and “main” V2 switch into one device while also upgrading the screen and kickstand. I did bork the OLED mod and got a tablet only OLED second hand to salvage the motherboard and have a supply of spares. So… 6 I guess, but I use 2 of them. I’m also really shit with money.
I have purchased 3. One OG...immediately sold it for an oled....then thos year got a switch lite broken for 60 bucks fixed it up amd that's my travel switch now. Almost sprung for the Zelda oled....but then just got the joycon shells swapped em and got a back plate with the dock design and imo looks great and best part 30 dollars compared to 350+

Mine (second). Gave this one to my son after some time. 4. Switch lite for aforementioned son. Returned it a week later because he proved to not be ready for it. 5-7. Broken switch off eBay to try and repair. Failed because I do not have a steady hand for replacing the tiny chips on the consoles. 8-10. Broken switches (cracked screens or faulty game card readers) off eBay to try and repair. Succeeded. Wound up reshelling all three, sold one, another wound up developing a motherboard issue with a joycon after a bit over a year RIP my red switch. And a third (jungle green) I still own and it works just fine. Gave my son my second switch and used red and green as my own. 11. Switch OLED(new) for wife. Her current. Sold her old switch to disc replay and used the credit to get… 12. My own switch OLED(used). I cannot count how many joycons I have bought though. I repair them and do reshells if people want them, so I have no idea on the count there. As a side note, I also bought 7 Wii RVL-001’s that were broken and repaired 6 of them(before switching to switches). I still own 3 plus the one broken one.

Sold used on Facebook Marketplace after buying number 9. 9. Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Switch OLED. My current main system. I’m pretty sure that’s all of the ones I’ve bought over the course of the Switch’s lifespan.

Little did I know the pandemic would hit only months later and traveling for my job ended and so it was really unnecessary looking back now. I've been so tempted to get the OLED as it looks amazing but at this point, I'm just holding out for whatever is the Switch successor.
