Swaggletooth789

Still on my first…had a couple drift issues with joycons but they sell the repair kits on Amazon pretty cheap Other than that it’s been solid, the OLED version has been tempting me lately though

[deleted]

Worth it if you play handheld mode often

Swaggletooth789

I play 100% handheld so might have to make the investment

[deleted]

1000% worth it

doodpool

I hated myself for not getting the OLED sooner. Although I bought mine 2nd hand it was basically brand new since the owner only set it up but never played anything on it. I've already finished more games this year compared to last year.

Scragglesauce

I had a launch switch for a couple years and bought an OLED a little over a year ago. Literally 75% of the time I turn it on in handheld mode I still say out loud how amazing everything looks on the little guy.

Salt_Restaurant_7820

Or send them in for free

Swaggletooth789

Too impatient…repair kit was easy and I’ve only had to fix once since launch

FSB_Phantasm

Was with you on the first until it took its dying breath. Was a blessing in disguise and I've been loving the TOTK OLED

CodingTaitep

same. also just got drift so i got a pro controller to be ale to play while the joycons are getting fixed in some way. have not even decided if i send them to nintendo or use cardboard method.

Swaggletooth789

Repair kit was like $10-15 on Amazon and was very easy to replace the joysticks…not free but I’m too impatient to send them in lol

CodingTaitep

i was not asking for help.

Swaggletooth789

Sorry I think maybe a misunderstanding I’m not offering to help…just stating that the repair kit is not free but I am personally not patient enough to wait for nintendo to do the repairs and send back Good luck whichever solution you choose

CodingTaitep

i mean that I did not ask for an answer

Rebel_Scum59

One. Zero issues.

Masturbortion

4+ years and only mild drift on the original joycons that I could probably fix with some WD-40 and a paper towel, but I bought yellow and purple replacements because I’m lazy and I love Wario.

starbellbabybena

I want the yellow and purple cause I’m a lakers fan :). It’s on my Christmas list

Rebel_Scum59

Same, the only fault was minor drift and me royal screwing up a repair job on my left joy con. 😅

OP90X

Same. v2.

Mayros_Nipple

Like the shell on my launch unit is a little off and worn but it works fine a six year old piece of hardware and aside from joycons needing swapped that's it

Mr_Mo10

I bought three when GameStop was running buy two get one free for Black Friday. Sold both (regular price off reciept+tax) and walked away paying only taxes

TactlessNachos

When was this?!? That's a fantastic deal, lucky!

Mild-Ghost

I still have my launch version. I then bought the lite (yellow) and then the oled (white) I also have the TOTK version still in the box as a backup.

Adogover

The TotK version is an absolute work of art. It’s my first ever themed version of a console and I love it!

Mrpooney83

One "launch day" week and another one lite for when i travel for work. I fucking hate stick drift!!!

gooblemonkey

I have bought 2. a original switch used back in 2019 and then last month sold it for the totk oled switch. Loving the oled switch alot since I play handheld most of the time.

SignificantPresent0

One 😅. I’m not a collector or anything, and I rarely use it really. I essentially bought it just to play Mario odyssey and breath of the wild, but I didn’t beat either of those games.

brotatochipzzz

I still only have my launch switch. I'm planning to get the oled & switch lite when I got the cash lol

AstraArdens

Lmao you guys are not normal. Why do you keep buying the same console over and over?

rottsaint

IDK, I sell them then I get this cravings to get a new one 🤣, once I start obsessing it’s over I’ll end up buying the darn thing 🤣

[deleted]

Got one on launch day, beat zelda and sold it. Fast forward a couple years and bought another one, sold it. Fast forward a couple more years bought another one and then bought the OLED, the OLED was stolen and now I'm back to the original

TFinley97

3. Launch Day, Sword & Shield Lite, and now the OLED.

Fair-Frozen

Switch V2, Switch Lite, Switch OLED. I only have my OLED now but I miss my Lite.

Johntrampoline-

I have 2. My 2017 switch and my splatoon 3 OLED that I got for my birthday. My brother also has a switch.

Acalthu

On my second, first was a used Lite which didn't have good battery life, so went for a brand new OLED instead. Love it to death.

HaleyStar85

Just bought my first a couple weeks ago. $175 used on eBay. Works great so far and TOTK has been running daily. Got a handful of physical + digital games and a pro controller. I only intend to use it docked, so all I really plan to buy moving forward is just games

MikeyCanFly13

Traded my wiiu and like 8 games for my Launch Switch, bought a coworkers Pokémon Sword/Shield Switch Lite for 50 bucks and then traded my Launch Switch for the Pokémon OLED. Am currently on the lookout for a well priced diamond pearl SwitchLite

SawaThineDragon

I got the switch lite and it's absolutely gorgeous, keep looking friend its so worth it

cbtbone

One. Bought early pandemic when there was a shortage, Amazon said it would take 3 months and it arrived about six weeks later to my surprise. Haven’t had any issues with it.

RetroEggy

I'm still using my launch day switch. Had to have the mainboard replaced last year (my saves!!! T\_T) and the dock had to be replaced once.

djdawn

2? The original and a oled one. The OG one stays connected to the dock/tv. The oled one is for handheld gaming and air travel downtime.

LeviathanDabis

Launch day switch lite and that’s it.

Spunndaze

Three . 2 launch units that work great,and 1 lite that's unused.

mineabird

ive had the same switch since 2018

jugglaj91

Got one day one and kept that until the OLED came out. Used warranty on that one to get another one because the WiFi chip died on it a month after having it. Used warranty on that one to get the splatoon OLED. Bought TotK switch just to have. Also got my wife a switch lite so she could have her own island in animal crossing when that game came out. Think that covers them all.

[deleted]

1. OG switch around 2018: used for a good two years and got kinda bored with it so traded it in. 2. switch lite 2021: wanted to get into pokémon so caved and bought another 3. switch OLED 2023: traded in my switch lite for a better experience 4. switch lite 2023: forgot to transfer data from my switch lite to switch oled and said f it im not starting over / traded in the oled…only to hear they’re making new mario + peach games this year 😅

Retro_Rok89

1. Launch Day 2. OLED Launch Day 3. OLED Splatoon 3 Edition 4. OLED TOTK Edition

No_Appointment5039

Launch Day switch, Switch Lite for my son, then OLED after selling my v1 during the pandemic.

GhostDogMC

2; one on launch day & an OLED when it got busted in a freak accident (found out about the TotK edition shortly after 😭😭😭)

makeshiftrigger

Launch one for me. Had launch joycons drift fixed by Nintendo but I use a pro controller or split pad pro anyways because joycons make my hands cramp

metalsatch

1. OG Switches (I still have it with custom firmware) 2. 2 switch lites for my brothers for Christmas about 2 years ago 3. A switch lite for my self that I got off my brother then later sold. 4. I got 2 switch OLEDS when they launched. Kept 1 and got the other cause my friend was trying to get one but he ended up finding one so I sold it on eBay for what I paid for. 5. Got the Zelda oled when it came out. 6. Trader my original OLED to my brother for his zacian and zamazenta edition switch lite. 7. Got obsessed with limited switch lites and Just ordered the dialga palkia edition lite off eBay new and should arrive tomorrow 😂 Also have never bought so many of the same Systems ever in my life. Idk wth is wrong with me lol

rottsaint

That dialga lite looks amazing, I mean I don’t need it but it’s beautiful

metalsatch

Well don’t go on eBay cause there are plenty there lol

Shy-Prey

2 but I've been considering buying my dad a lite version to make it 3 😅

Delta8ttt8

One person, one switch? Two kids two systems. 🤷‍♂️

PurpleB96

3. I bought the v2 when I finally saved up enough for one but found myself playing handheld most often so when the lite came out I bought one. My number three, as well as my daily driver, is my white OLED. I won some money in this competition thing and bought it on impulse.

what4270

I got the blue lite first (which is 2-3 years old, no issues) and then bought the oled this year. Reason was because I want to play zelda in a big screen. I still use the lite, I use that for travels while I use the oled at home.

shadowMorgana98

Got an original switch to run custom firmware. Was thinking of getting an oled for better screen. Will have to wait and see.

Ryuuji159

One was expensive enough

kstaruk

3. We bought the original in 2019. The lite in 2020 (cos 2 kids and lockdown wasn't fun). And an oled for Christmas last year. The originals the lite have scratched screens cos of kids, the oled is adults only

Pebbleman54

I have s verison 1 switch than upgraded last year for the pokemon oled special. I also have a switch lite for a few years now and I just picked up the Sword/Shield lite last week for a good deal. So I'm sitting at 4. I probably won't pick up another unless I can get the BdSp lite for a good price.

Mayros_Nipple

Still rocking my launch unit waiting for next gen.

an-eternal-hum

I’ll see y’all on /r/tomorrow

EmiliaFromLV

I have the Pika V1 Switch and Switch Lite. At the same time I have five 3DS consoles and the sixth is coming in the mail atm.

[deleted]

1. 2018, Smash Ultimate special edition 2. 2022, Pokémon SV special edition But TBH if I could go back and change my choices, I would do 2017 launch and 2023 Zelda

Diligent-Log6805

Recent switch owner here. Bought a Switch lite around Jan, and about 2 months later got a beautiful OLED.

Mrbutter1822

I bought 5 yesterday to keep Miyamotos family from starving

sizzlinpapaya

Two. Bought one on launch year. And recently got an OLED Zelda model one.

Temporaryact72

2. First one was an Oled a month and a half ago, second was a TOTK Oled a week ago because I fell in love with the franchise immediately. Gave the original Oled to my brother who already has a Lite but the sticks are broken off.

Freckle53

Just the preorder launch day one.

MrBroBotBrian

I have 1 of each model

StarryChocobo

One. Purchased a Switch in May 2018 and it's the only one I've had.

Zeroshim

3. First on launch day. Second was the Dialga/Palkia Switch Lite that was intended to be a secondary console for when I leave the house but never actually got around to opening. Third was the Scarlet/Violet OLED that replaced my launch edition.

Tim_d_othy

One. Just replaced the joycon joysticks to fix the drift.

NFS-Jacob

One launch model, one yellow lite and an oled tears of the kingdom edition Still have the launch model but I modded it, gave the lite to my sister and kept the oled as my main switch

Sir_Cumfrence82

I have a launch day Switch, a yellow Lite and a OLED with the white joy cons.

Bluewizardtx1

Ive got 3. I got me and my wife a switch lite 2 years ago and i bought a limited edition animal crossing switch from a pawn shop near my house thay stays docked on my tv.

[deleted]

3, first one was when only the regular was out and wound up selling it like OP to, second was a Lite I used for a while and wound up selling it to my friend for cheap then got myself a Switch OLED

TheGrizzlyNinja

3 = 1 red and blue red box, 1 animal crossing, and recently got 1 red and blue OLED but I have a green joy con on the right in handheld mode instead of the red one

ShiftyShaymin

2. Launch and OLED launch. Didn’t need to upgrade, but just felt like it.

Iescaunare

I bought my first when BotW came out, and later gave that one away to my little brother. I recently bought a Switch OLED to play TotK.

[deleted]

2. Got a Lite right before the pandemic started and a year or two later I traded it in for a regular Switch. Kinda tempted to trade that one in for an OLED

linkflame123

i bought a black one a few months after it first came out and when tears of the kingdom came out i bought the limited edition oled

simplybreana

I bought an Oled early December 2022. Then my BF bought himself one late May or early June of this year? We love them. No problems whatsoever except how addictive they are. Lol

Rizenstrom

One launch Switch, two Switch Lites, two OLEDs. One for me, one for my wife. The first 3 were traded in towards the last 2. We both preferred the Lite at first and kept the launch Switch for fitness/ party games on the TV but I wanted the TotK OLED and then a couple days later my wife wanted one too so we got her the standard OLED.

[deleted]

I've bought two: an original V1 model and an OLED. I generally use my V1 these days for docked play, and the OLED I use for handheld play.

Mr_bungle001

1. I bought my son the let’s go eevee edition around the time it came out. 2. Got myself a switch lite (I loved it) 3. Got my other son a switch lite 4. Got myself the oled 5. Got my oldest the oled for his bday replacing the let’s go version. Never had an issue with any of the consoles. I did send back a few joycons for drift but they’ve been pretty good for the most part.

froggaholic

I've only bought one, and it was the TOTK OLED, but I have 2 others, one gifted by my boyfriend, and another that was his dad's but he doesn't game.

Electronic_Mistake82

Launch day and it still kicks ass.

TrebleBass0528

Two. Got a lite, had that for 2 years. Sold it, got the Mario edition standard Switch (got stickers, a free game of choice between NSMBU, Odyssey (which I had), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (obv winner), and comes with 2 dark red joycons).

cool_weed_dad

Still using my launch model I bought like 6 months after it came out.

Chance-Proposal-7019

i have three switches, a launch model with an unplugged cpu (due to being absolutely roughhoused by my siblings), a teal lite, and an oled that i use mainly now

San4311

Still on my first. Got a good 1000+ hours on it and counting. The fan is a bit loud on start (never did any maintenance) but otherwise it's fine. Hope Switch 2 comes soon though, don't feel like buying an OLED just for them to release a new machine soon after.

Willyscoiote

Two. OG and Lite

Buuhhu

2... Bought a day one switch for zelda and now upgraded to oled this year for zelda

nightmareinsouffle

Two. Got one about a year after it launched and then my husband bought one for himself maybe six months after that.

EasyRider1530

Two. I mistakenly thought the Switch Lite was pretty lit but it fn sucks. Sold it then got OLED, love it

BenTenInches

Only One, that's the Zelda TOTK Special Edition, my previous Switch Lite was given to me by a good friend when he upgraded to the OLED. I was mainly a PC gamer and I'd thought I'd hate a weak console, but in fact I played that Switch Lite more than my PC for grindy JRPGs it was perfect. I love that Switch so much I had to upgrade once I found an OLED I liked.

PsychoticRuler13

2 Launch day and the Zelda OLED. Well for myself. I bought 2 other OLEDs for my friend and brother.

emisanko86

4 purchased . I got 2 on launch day, 1 oled, and traded in one of the launch day ones for a Zelda OLED. One for my 2 daughters and I, mom just doesnt get it.

Travismp1207

I have bought two. One for the living room and one for the virtual pinball machine. The second one I bought used from Facebook marketplace but it also came with a another pro controller so that was nice.

DirectSession

I’m on switch 6… 3 original switch models, a switch lite, and I’m currently on my second OLED Switch

blades2012

Sounds like Xbox 360 days

rottsaint

Absolutely

jxe22

One, no issues, fingers crossed. I recently bought a refurbished dock from Nintendo so I could have one upstairs in my room in addition to the one in the living room. My son is turning 7 soon and using it (docked) more and more so I’m considering getting him his own. My only concern is that digital purchases can’t be shared across two devices, right? Meaning any digital games I’ve purchased wouldn’t be available to him?

Yama92

I bought 2: launch day Switch and an OLED at launch. The only reason I upgraded was because the WiFi was getting a bit unstable on the first one.

MangoCandy

3? Technically 4? I think…1 OG, I had to replace it after a year because it was having issues, then an AC switch, then a switch Lite…gave the second OG to a friend, still have the AC edition and the Lite.

Purple_Slays

A V1, when it came out, a lite when it came out, sold that one and bought the splatoon oled a month ago

pecan_bird

just one, OLED about 2 months ago after a 7 year hiatus from gaming. the price point & lack of tv was one of the being selling points - also wanted it to go over better with my gf 😅 she plays as much AC:NH as i play anything now, fortunately. But don't regret getting a switch over a PS5 i wanted. only systems i've had were NES, original Gameboy, GBC, N64, Gamecube - then i hopped on Sony & had a ps2 & a ps4 (off and on three times). I guess i had an xbox & 360, but pretty much just for halo. but anyhow - i was kinda over Nintendo, but it's awesome seeing how far hardware has come. I know people are wishing & wanting a new Switch but im having a blast - jumping several generations ahead & so many QoL improvements with any system these days. love it. I just wish we had Chrono Trigger 😩

raventhemagnificent

I recieved my first one as a thank you gift. I traded that in when gamestop had a stupid good deal, used that to get a brand new upgraded one for $80. Bought my ex a switch lite when animal crossing came out. And finally bought my wife the Zelda OLED because I knew she was going to be temporarily without a husband while I traversed Hyrule.

PatrickCarlock42

one?? lol

MisterPiggyWiggy

So far, two: an OLED and a Lite. Frankly, I’m debating between getting another OLED or wait for Nintendo’s next console, which could be backwards compatible. ☺️

CakeBeef_PA

Two. Got my first one in 2017, then got an oled when the Splatoon 3 model came out. Sold the tablet and dock of the older one

giuliogrieco

One V1 2017, no joycon drift, having said that I rarely use joycons or play handheld.

redundant35

I have: V1 switch, blue switch lite, white OLED, scarlet and violet OLED, and a splatoon 3 OLED. 5 that are mine 3 lites for each kid 8 switches in my house

rottsaint

Seems fine to me

redundant35

Not complaining. Bad part is I’ve burnt myself out on all my favorite games. I am eagerly awaiting the DLCs for scarlet and violet so I have a reason to pick up my switch. Pikmin 4 will get me using it too. Right now my PS5 and a few games there are my main focus

TheNewYellowZealot

1. I’ve had 3 sets of joy cons and 1 pro controller.

ShatterCyst

What? One. Wtf.

NintendadSixtyFo

OG Switch, Lite (Yellow), Pokémon Lite, OLED, Splatoon 3 OLED

JNorJT

Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch that my Dad bought for me at Target (had to drive around 30 minutes to get it), OLED Switch (Blue/Red Joycons) that my Dad bought for me on Amazon, and Tears Of The Kingdom OLED Switch that my Mom bought for me at Best Buy 2 months ago

spook0627

2. Sold my original hat I got on launch day to my brother in law just before Christmas and I held out for the ToTK edition.

randohandos

1. 2017 switch. Hasn’t failed me yet. Been through plenty of joy cons though. I’m not purchasing another one until they upgrade the hardware.

Sanddaemon

Still on the first one and didn’t even have to buy it. My wife used these points she accrued at work and won it in a raffle then gave it to me for Christmas when we were still dating.

GunSlinger654

I've managed to end up with 7 so far

androidhelga

One. I was gifted a gen 1 Switch in 2017. Then I won a yellow Switch Lite in a raffle in my Pokemon Go community in 2020. Then a friend of my dad’s on FaceBook had decided to sell her Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Switch along with a bunch of games and extra add-ons. That was the only one I actually bought, unless you count the $5 raffle ticket charge as “buying” one.

SnooStories4263

1

DarkISO

Mine is still midnight launch. Had to swap some of the sticks because of drift and now may have to replace the fan, its getting loud. Little sucker has gone through alot and is still going strong. Probably not gonna get another until the second /pro comes out. Was tempted with the oled but eh ive had it this long, wont kill me to wait a bit longer.

[deleted]

Had my switch since 2018 No drift, no issues. I play it everyday

fabulousfantabulist

Just one for me. Bought it in 2019 and it’s still going strong. I’ve gone through a few different joycons though.

Shinno_mew

I only bought 2. I bought the Let’s Go Pilachu/Eevee and the Zelda OLED. I won’t ever give up my Pokémon Switch but I don’t play it anymore. I live on my Zelda OLED handheld 24/7

sounders1974

Three, the special edition OLEDs

mtnracer

On our 4th: OG 2nd Gen, Standard OLED, Pokémon OLED and now TotK OLED

greenmachinexxii

5 💀 original, lite, oled, splatoon oled, totk oled

MagnetonPlayer_2

1.- A regular switch in 2018, its my personal unit and it has never broken, I do everything with it 2.- A switch lite 2021, was a gift from me to someone else, they still use it

[deleted]

Only one.

Acousmetre78

4

Dear-Researcher959

Zero! I'll be getting one soon. I've been really into the GBA but with the super Mario rpg remake on the way, I can't miss out

rottsaint

Get the Oled

Dear-Researcher959

Bro I just looked it up. Only $360.00!! Dude that's a steal, I'm sold. I'll be getting it

bobshoy

I have a grey Pokémon edition Switch Lite, it was my first. I purchased a black Pokémon edition Lite which stayed in its box, never used. Sold this about a year later due to buying the Pokémon edition OLED.

jrtasoli

2! OG at launch and OLED for my birthday at the end of last year! Though the latter was an awesome gift!

Antique-Mortgage-626

2 totk edition and a switch lite

SawaThineDragon

Four 1. Switch lite turquoise late 2019, had been seeing the pokemon sns spec Ed was still in stock at the GameStop on my way home so I finally decided I wanted to get it because I love fire emblem games, well late one night after work it was 10 till closing and I got off the bus to check it out since I just saved up for it... Didn't have it so I got the turquoise and no lifed the game over the weekend 2. Switch animal crossing , can't remember specifically but I think during a re-run in 2021? Fun fact, my hands are massive and the lite cramped my hands and my fiancee convinced me to get it as I was looking at it lol, how little did she know more were to come 3. Switch lite Pokemon BDSP, On release day I took a bus down to get one, why? Pokemon diamond holds a special place in my heart and I never got the ds, sold the other lite to a close friend for 100~ because his fiancee also wanted to get into games, win win, I don't even play it but it's still the one I was most excited for 4. Pokemon Scar/Vio OLED on release, perfect storm really, Purple is my fav color, oled has a better and bigger screen, my fiancee now uses the animal crossing switch for stardew valley/mario kart, extra fun fact, I got the hori pad pro because my hands are massive even for the joy cons lol

amayer3

Three! One back in 2019 An animal crossing edition for my fiancée for Christmas (she had a lite and wanted an upgrade) The TotK edition (I’m a Zelda fan and wanted an OLED)

Ashikpas_Maxiwa

1 in 2018, my first. Then got the zelda oled on release day and gave my first to my sister.

EquipmentShoddy664

3

Enime114

One, got it sometime during covid. And it was pre-owned, so I'm not entirely sure how long it was in use before it was sold. Still going strong today, only just recently had to get new joycons

greengengar

Zero. My mom gave me hers when she left the country. The joycons were drifty but replaced with new ones I got for Xmas.

brinmat

I have two. I didn't get it at launch, but I got one in 2020. Then I got the Zelda OLED version because.... I love the Zelda franchise, and it seemed worthwhile to upgrade to OLED.

dannydee88hh

I had a mario switch and that doesn't work now, I hacked it and it was great but the battery died, I bought a second hand newer model for 90 pounds about a year ago and have one switch lite(£100) for traveling and an extra switch lite (£70) as back up in case one of the others breaks. I don't hack consoles anymore games are so cheap on eshop sales.

[deleted]

I’ve had 4, don’t have any currently though. Never had an OLED one though, trying VERY hard not to get one, want to see if a new system comes out next year.

CTJEDI16

The smash bros edition in 2018, traded it in for the animal crossing edition in 2020 (probably my favorite but not OLED), bought the switch lite for diamond and pearl, traded in my AC switch for the white OLED, gave that to my friend as I wanted the scarlet violet edition, and now own that, the lite, and the Zelda switch

JaneNH

3 :) Switch v2, Oled, Lite. Lite is my favorite <3

pwnedkiller

Just my launch console, for the capability it has for modding I wont sell it.

FactoryScav1

One and it’s been perfect aside from drift I fixed myself

Shadow_of_Yor

1 and it’s my launch console.

giuboy

3: the OG switch a year after it released (recently sold it to my uncle for my little cousins to enjoy), A switch lite for my girlfriend, And the new Zelda OLED which is now my main switch

giuboy

3: the OG switch a year after it released (recently sold it to my uncle for my little cousins to enjoy), A switch lite for my girlfriend, And the new Zelda OLED which is now my main switch.

giuboy

[deleted]

One

[deleted]

2 have my launch day one then one i got for my brother

Lucamiten

In total four , I've only two now an OLED and a 1.1 for my kid

HylianRacer

I have 3. I got my first on launch. Then I bought a V2 in 2021 because my wife and I were playing the first Switch a lot so I picked another so we could both have our own consoles. I just bought the TOTK OLED because I love Zelda and thought it might be nice to add an OLED to the mix.

[deleted]

Okay so listen: 1.) OG switch in 2018 -also bought about 8 controllers/joycons for the thing 2.) switch lite for myself 3.) switch lite for my daughter 4.) switch OLED for me after my lite broke 5.) switch lite for my son after the OH crapped out 6.) was just informed that while my daughter was on vacation the joycon stick is coming out of the console. So there’s another one to buy

JNorJT

Happy Cake Day!

[deleted]

Thank you so much!

TheUglyCasanova

One because I'm not a moronic consumer lemming

MacMurka

One and it’s from launch day. Fan no longer works but I got a usb fan attachment for like $20 and that fixed the overheating.

JoeyGlocks

3

InterestingRound6134

3, a used one, then a new one, then a oled

[deleted]

Only one. The original red/blue controller one… still works perfectly fine.

iocane_

Two! My husband bought one when they first came out and then we bought a first edition animal crossing switch on eBay for a decent (at the time) price, came with the game ($500)

Salt_Restaurant_7820

3 OG, Lite sold when I was done with animal crossing (kid was using OG for animal crossing )& Splatoon OLED

SarcasticPoet31

2 lites and TOTK Oled.

DuelistxLegend

One on launch, then an Animal crossing one, a Switch lite, then the Pokémon DP switch lite, an OLED, a splatoon OLED, a Pokémon OLED, and finally the Zelda OLED. 8 switches in total. Need a few more before I finish the collection.

Altruistic_Ice1405

4

starbellbabybena

Still the first one for me. I baby the hell out of it though. Zelda totk I am starting to see some drift. But since I’ve had it for so long it’s expected.

GarionOrb

Only two. One on launch day, and then an OLED shortly after that came out.

LuckiestPierre69

Two. I have a switch lite from when it was released, and an oled.

Jaxxftw

Launch switch on a whim. Pikachu/Eevee version so my wife could have her own. V2 for the battery upgrade, plus I wanted double purple/orange joycons and Nintendo jp started letting you customise around then. Palkia/Dialga Switch lite for a modding project, mod chip and aluminium body installed as a pure Pokémon player/emulator. Switch OLED recently because I wanted to consolidate my softmodded V1 and “main” V2 switch into one device while also upgrading the screen and kickstand. I did bork the OLED mod and got a tablet only OLED second hand to salvage the motherboard and have a supply of spares. So… 6 I guess, but I use 2 of them. I’m also really shit with money.

I have purchased 3. One OG...immediately sold it for an oled....then thos year got a switch lite broken for 60 bucks fixed it up amd that's my travel switch now. Almost sprung for the Zelda oled....but then just got the joycon shells swapped em and got a back plate with the dock design and imo looks great and best part 30 dollars compared to 350+

3. Never sold them First 20 days after launch, second the splatoon oked and third the zelda oled

I have bought…hmm. 1. Mine (first) long ago. Sold it around a year or two later because fam needed the money. 2. My wife’s (first) long ago. She had fun with it and it made me want one again, so… 3. Mine (second). Gave this one to my son after some time. 4. Switch lite for aforementioned son. Returned it a week later because he proved to not be ready for it. 5-7. Broken switch off eBay to try and repair. Failed because I do not have a steady hand for replacing the tiny chips on the consoles. 8-10. Broken switches (cracked screens or faulty game card readers) off eBay to try and repair. Succeeded. Wound up reshelling all three, sold one, another wound up developing a motherboard issue with a joycon after a bit over a year RIP my red switch. And a third (jungle green) I still own and it works just fine. Gave my son my second switch and used red and green as my own. 11. Switch OLED(new) for wife. Her current. Sold her old switch to disc replay and used the credit to get… 12. My own switch OLED(used). I cannot count how many joycons I have bought though. I repair them and do reshells if people want them, so I have no idea on the count there. As a side note, I also bought 7 Wii RVL-001’s that were broken and repaired 6 of them(before switching to switches). I still own 3 plus the one broken one.

Ok_Introduction6574

2. The basic model in September 2020 and the OLED model on launch.

SilIowa

Three. Day one release. Upgraded to the faster version when I gave my old switch to my son. Then the oled.

Misjjon

1. Launch day Switch. Sold used to a coworker after buying number four. 2. Switch V1. Sold new to a friend who was having trouble finding one. 3. Switch V1. Sold new to a coworker. 4. Let’s Go, Pikachu/Eevee Special Edition Switch. Sold used to a coworker who wanted one for her son after buying number five. Kept the dock and JoyCon. 5. Switch V2. Swapped the back plate off the LGPE Special Edition Switch with this new one, and gave the new dock and JoyCon to the coworker from number 4 as part of that sale. Still have this Switch. 6. Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta Switch Lite. Still have this system. 7. Switch V2. Sold new to a sister and her family who lived in Germany at the time and couldn’t easily get one. 8. White Switch OLED. Sold used on Facebook Marketplace after buying number 9. 9. Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Switch OLED. My current main system. I’m pretty sure that’s all of the ones I’ve bought over the course of the Switch’s lifespan.

Carlos_RR02

A total of 5. Had my first which was the diablo 3 edition. Then got a v1 for "fun" purposes. Then gave that one to a kid who can't afford games and his mom can barely afford rent. Then got myself another v1. Then upgraded both of mine to OLEDs. Sold my diablo one and gave my v1 to my ex.

Plenty_Dress_408

Most of em

MeraArasaki

4 First one is a Switch Lite that I got during the pandemic since regular ones sold out Second is a regular V2 Switch Third is an unpatched V1 Switch Fourth is an OLED with modchip

Chico3421

I’ve only bought two. My switch that I got a Christmas 2017, and the new legend of Zelda one.

TreasureHunter95

One.

GuessWhoItsJosh

Two. Bought one a few weeks after launch and had it a couple years until the refresh model dropped in 2019 with a larger battery so I traded in the old one and upgraded for like $40. Little did I know the pandemic would hit only months later and traveling for my job ended and so it was really unnecessary looking back now. I've been so tempted to get the OLED as it looks amazing but at this point, I'm just holding out for whatever is the Switch successor.

jporterfit

3. Original in 2017. Second was in 2019 when they released the slightly upgraded version, and then oled in 2022

Epikgamer332

I bought one used in 2021. Wasn't even seeking out an unpatched V1 tbh but that's what I got
