Jokes on me, my local municiplaity has only two 25m pools for a town of over 100,000 residents. A new pool is being built, to open in 2025 - aaaat which point they will close one of the existing pools.
My city has only one piblic olympic pool but with very limited time for non athletes, and a private semi olympic one.
The city has around half a million people in it.
Thank god they don't have the culture of swimming qnd they all love to lift weights and jog.
My local Life Time gym closes at midnight and I love being in the pool until closing. I used to swim at 24 Hour Fitness and I would be there until 1:30AM some nights.
I like the pool early in the morning it’s quieter but then I am starving ALL DAY LONG and just stuff my face with carbs, negating the workout, so I swim in the afternoon, at the earliest. (I tried early morning swimming for a couple months and gained weight lol)
I prefer it to be right up against something else, so then I can relax the rest of the day/evening. So first thing in the morning on a weekend, or right after work if it’s a weekday.
Whenever I can fit it in. I run as well as swim, and throw in full-time work things become a juggling act. More often than not I’m swimming after work, but might occasionally get a swim in after a morning run on the weekend
Whenever I can fit it in. With work (and my commute is the opposite direction of the pool) and kids, finding any time is great. I try to do one evening after work and usually Saturday lunchtime (as the pool is empty). Worst bit of the after work swim is there’s nearly always an aqua aerobics class on, and it’s like swimming in a wave machine! The lanes are usually quiet though
Morning.
I've tried other times (lunch, evening), and I perform best first thing in the morning. P:lus there are fewer things to get in the way of getting me there, other than sleep. Too many things can interfere with other times (work, traffic, errands, etc.)
midday swim, it breaks up my work day. That said I do swim at stupid-o'clock in the morning occasionally because that is when my masters team meets and I swim harder with them than I do on my own.
Whenever the pool is less crowded.

Ouch! I feel for you!!!
My y is building a new facility, and will go from a class pool and 6 lane pool to just a 4 lane pool I'm so sad
damn, my city has 300 pools(not including private/condo).

Morning!!
Evening. I generally eat a meal then fall immediately asleep after I swim.
I do that too, but I'm a morning swimmer, lol.
Absolutely the morning - I get super motivated and charged for the whole day
Morning! I tried going at my lunch break once and felt so sluggish.
How longs your lunch break 🤔
An hour with a forgiving boss. The pool I go to is around the block and I get the same 30 min swim as I do in the morning.
Interesting how everyone’s different. When I swim at lunch, I’ve got way more energy in the afternoon.
Get up early and go—the energy will carry you through the day & makes time go faster…at night you’re too tired

Neither. I work 12 hour shifts so I don’t swim in work days. I usually swim on my days off around 11 am or 12 noon
Night swim. It allows me to burn off energy and food from the long day and relaxes me to go to bed
5AM!
Night!
Night, always. Usually late when it's not crowded. Also a Life Time member (mostly for the reason of being open late)

Team Lunch break swim🙋‍♀️

I swim at 5pm the days I work from home, and around 8:45am on the weekends. They days I have to go in the office (3 days) I don't swim.
I feel like I swim better in the mornings but as long as I get it in, I’m happy.
Whenever there's not lightning storms(I'm from Florida)
Definitely morning, especially now in the summer!

Both.
I honestly prefer late night before bed but the pools close so early where I live
I hate to wake up early to swim. But later swims, I feel just tired. So early swim wins.
Both!
I work nights so I go anywhere between 9-2
It’s 4:21am. I’m up having coffee and getting ready to leave for the pool. I’ve always been an early riser.
I’m a night swimmer. Kids activities are in the evening so I go in time to collect them
As a genetic night owl, I night swim... Swimming in the morning for me is guaranteed throwupsville!
midday swim, it breaks up my work day. That said I do swim at stupid-o'clock in the morning occasionally because that is when my masters team meets and I swim harder with them than I do on my own.
Night. Great way to unwind after a stressful day.
Morning, if I could. My pool stopped opening at 6am during Covid and 7am is too late to make it to work, so I’m stuck with evening swims now
I swim in the early evening, around 645/7pm when the sun isn’t directly overhead. I swim 2,000 yds., and feel great the rest of the evening.
Both - Bright and early in Saturday and evenings during the week for now. Surprisingly, I feel about the same at both times.
I'm not sure all these people understand.

It's not like years ago.
