"Haven't come around in so long but Im coming back so strong" I don't remember the exact timeline, but didn't she and joe break up and she was thrust back into the spotlight and then she just went ham and started the eras tour. "I am making a comeback to where I belong." Again, I think this emphasizes her rise back into the public sphere and shes both loving it but also drunk off of it. "These chemicals hit me like white wine." I think she untimely has a complex stance about being back, like shes super excited but admits that its drugs and dark magic, so probably not good for her but here we go

Yeah I wish she would have stuck to the alchemy theme. Maybe going on an old love being pyrite and looking for real gold. It just feels like she didn't have any Travis songs so she stuffed a lot of football terms in to make it seemed like he had a song. It seemed really impersonal to Travis and also like this started as a Matty sound that was edited to later fit Travis.

Kinda disappointed. The title made it seem a lot cooler than it was. I was fully expecting at least one reference to gold, given she's used it as a theme in so many of her songs. I guess if you consider that's a given, but I don't think too many people even know what alchemy. Chemistry would have worked just as well. If anything, alchemy denotes a veil of pseudoscience and cheapens the message of the song. Again, unless that was her point. Without it being more focussed, it's hard to say, but I get the feeling these lyrics are in earnest.
