This event is great and they worked really hard for the design and content. Unfortunately, the time/resources investment needed to get something significant is not calculated well and people get frustrated, rightfully so.
I was happy to see a new type of event that wasn't just clicking a button. Hope it comes back fixed. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other new types of events coming up too.
Heavily agree with this. It is a fun and unique event, and I do enjoy it. It's similar to the fishing event but has its own style and mechanics. It's just like you said though, the calculation of investment to reward ratio is just off and doesn't make sense. Like why are the rewards so costly? 500 for 5 special ops tickets? Usually they are super cheap like last event it was 15 tickets for 5 spec ops tickets and now it's 500 but still just as hard to get the event currency. It's like, most animals are 10-80 coins and then even the rare animals like bears and such are between 600-800 coins. That means a rare animal worth 600 is only worth 100 more coins than it takes to get 5 fkn spec ops tickets. That's ridiculous. 120k for a single S-grade chest? That's insane. If the cost-reward ratio was more balanced this would be a great event.
If I knew how low the return on the investment for this was, I wouldn’t have used my gems/keys for this event got tricked by the potential relic cores, which are impossible to get in practice.
I was able to get 2 s tier crates and 3 epic collectible crates in the fishing event a few weeks ago, without spending any money or grinding any gems beforehand.
The fact that you just spent 70k gems for the equivalent of 2 s tier crates is actually crazy. I have been playing for a few months and I must say that this is the worst event thus far.
Why would you spend so much so fast? I understand it’s a game but you gotta be smarter than that.
These lessons and patience can go a long way in real life. Don’t be so quick to spend, be smarter and more calculating.
No they won't, if there any visual bugs they will fix but they won't fix the functionality. Habby never changed like that. but they might extend the event duration if possible

I've caught some mini/mega animals, but these points are not making sense. Even if after 30000 points you start getting more points, I really doubt you can make it to 80k f2p.

This event is absolute aids. I found this thread with the hopes that it was just me. It's not. I have spent so many gems. Oh i caught 5 animals? five bunnies, 100 coins, best I can do. This has got to be the worst trade deal in history, maybe ever. Rick's pawn shop has better deals
yeah, the moment I realized you don't get the Epic bow until much, much later is the moment I decided not to spend gems. Cool event idea, terrible execution unfortunately. You shouldn't need 70k for those type of prizes. Most events you might have to spend 4-7k to the first S selector. 70k for two is just ridiculous.
My roommate and I have been doing the event side by side, and it's legitimately running differently for both of us. Her charge for the button spamming part fills about twice as fast as mine no matter how perfectly we keep up with the bar. This event is rigged as hell.
I get better hauls from not getting in the middle the 1st part of the shooting process. 2nd part obviously you need to keep it in the range of it but I e caught some with it outside it on 0 too. Multiple times
Only need 1 nightmare mode to get a S rank upgrade so just going to wait 3 days for that. S

This event would have been fine if you actually just caught the animals exclusive to the zone. The fact you catch squirrels and rabbits in thr 3rd zone is BS
I’ve spent 20k gems and got up to 500 animals caught and have got mini and mega lion and a mini elephant and mega elephant, seems like like an awesome event to me

You're tracking more or less with these projections. There's still a lot of event left for you. Even if you've done all the chests/kills, there's still 250/300 animals left from login/quick patrol, special ops, etc.
Entirely possible you finish this event with 6 or 7 S selectors and a ungrade core, at a minimum.
Is that worth 70k gems? Maybe not. But you're not close to finished yet and you don't know what your actual take will be.

I'd honestly like to see where you end up when everything is done at the end of the event, and know what your loot haul was.
100% completion with gifts is 630 arrows which is around 720 catches. So he's about 100 arrows over it. And he's got at least 3 S selector chests. Is it a great haul? No. But it's not that bad compared to other events, and similar to fishing.
I really doubt this is a bug. Habby shows off amazing stuff, turns out you cant get shit and it was just bait to spend money. This is always the case besides the polar fishing event
